00:08Ladies and gentlemen, we're shortly beginning our descent into St. Marie, so if I could ask you to fasten your
00:13seatbelts. Thank you.
00:34Kevin, I can't help you if you don't talk to me. I just want this to be over. But I
00:40need to do it in my own time, all right? I can't be rushed. I won't be rushed.
00:45All right. No one is rushing you.
01:03Kevin, where are you going? Kevin, please calm down, sweetheart. I'm worried about you. What are you going up there
01:11for?
01:12Anthony, are you here?
01:55I wasn't expecting to be picked up. Your secretary Rosalie thought it would be a good idea. I'm Leo. It's
02:01a pleasure to meet you, Commissioner.
02:14I've been spending some time in London with my daughter. But I very much have been looking forward to coming
02:24home again.
02:26And what about you? You're working at Government House?
02:30Interning. It's been four months now and I'm totally loving it. The job, the island.
02:37I didn't know we had interns.
02:39There's a new business in tourism department. George McCann has it up. I'm not sure if you know of him.
02:52Rosalie.
02:53Commissioner, I am so sorry to bother you, but I think you need to come straight to Government House.
03:11Is he still up there?
03:13Yes.
03:18What are all these new people doing here?
03:21They're Government Advisors.
03:22Being brought in, you know, to oversee business.
03:25Business and tourism, I know.
03:27But why here?
03:29Kevin!
03:30Please!
03:31Look, come back and talk!
03:34Deborah?
03:35Thank goodness you're here. George is on his way over.
03:37This is Commissioner Patterson.
03:39I need you to phone the fire brigade and an ambulance just in case and alert my team.
03:44Right.
03:49Kevin?
03:49My name is Commissioner Patterson.
03:53Perhaps we could talk.
03:54He shut down a few minutes ago just to stop talking.
03:57Ah, if you could.
03:59Step aside.
04:09Kevin?
04:25Kevin?
04:27Oh, no!
04:28Oh, no!
04:33Oh, no!
04:38Oh!
04:41Oh!
04:42Oh!
04:46Oh!
05:08I think you should all head inside and wait for me there, please.
05:11Commissioner Paterson, George McCain, Kevin, work for me.
05:15Do we know yet why he might have...
05:16You could just go inside and wait for me others, Mr McCann.
05:19Of course.
05:21Ah, emergency services are on their way.
05:25Paramedics are coming.
05:26And I spoke to Sergeant Fletcher at the police station.
05:29She's notifying our team.
05:31Sergeant Fletcher?
05:33Who is she?
05:46Say, is there a Sebastian Rose here?
05:52Anyone?
05:58All right.
06:07Well, I appreciate your attention.
06:10I said I am looking for a Sebastian Rose.
06:13Has anyone seen him?
06:15Yes, I.
06:17That's me.
06:25Sebastian Rose.
06:26Except for short.
06:28Good morning, Officer Rose.
06:30Matty Fletcher.
06:31I'm your new sergeant.
06:32It's good to meet you.
06:33Nice to meet you.
06:36So you have a fun night, then?
06:39Yeah, man.
06:39Partied hard.
06:40It was late, you know?
06:41I am sorry to poop your party, but we've got a call out.
06:44Yeah?
06:46I mean, you went duty cars, right?
06:48But wait.
06:49How did you know I was here, and how did you get me uniform?
06:52I got your home address off your file.
06:54I headed over to your house.
06:55You were up where your mom was in, so we had a quick chat while she gave your uniform and
06:58I on.
06:59She seems really cool.
07:00Anyway, she had told me that you'd been out at a beach party all night, which means
07:05you're either going to be at Turtle Bay or down here at Paradise Court.
07:09And if you know anything about anything about a beach party, which I kind of just assumed
07:14you did.
07:15Then you're going to be at Paradise Cove.
07:18So that's what I did, and here I am.
07:21That answer your question?
07:22I guess so.
07:24Okay.
07:40Good morning.
07:42Good morning, Sarge.
07:43Good morning.
07:44Mattie.
07:44Mattie, officially.
07:45Welcome to the team.
07:46Sorry you landed the Sunday shift on your first day.
07:49But I made saffron buns.
07:52Thank you so much, Sarge.
07:53Yeah.
07:55Mm.
07:56Amazing.
07:59So what's your inspector learn?
08:01He's English, right?
08:08this hurry me old mate is what we call the business
08:19good morning sir morning inspector
08:24we got a case I'll take it he doesn't really do greetings
08:30hmm Sajah Matty Fletcher it's great to meet you inspector I was really enjoying my
08:36Sunday morning full English last night's match of the day it's his favorite TV
08:45show he's totally obsessed with this what's the story here then victims Kevin
08:57Felton worked as a tech consultant for the business and tourism team here at
09:01Government House seems he took his own life we'll need post-mortem to confirm
09:07but paramedics say injuries are consistent with the fall
09:12yeah well just found this in his trouser pocket and all that's for must be the
09:18key to the roof door he locked himself up there so
09:31Commissioner welcome back it's good to see you both and you sir we really missed you
09:37didn't we inspector is that the victim's bag yes this is the victim's bag there's not much in it a
09:46mobile phone a wallet and an empty sweet packet another empty sweet packet and a banana
09:57on eaton locked one second sir where are you he hasn't changed them I see not a bit
10:14appreciate it
10:15appreciate it
10:19interesting
10:21notification from his bank 326 this morning $1200 paid to Kariba Airlines
10:28what time did he jump
10:29447
10:31and here in his emails
10:33ticket for a flight to the UK due to depart this afternoon at 5pm
10:39so if Kevin Felton came to this building for the sole purpose of throwing himself off it
10:45then why just over an hour beforehand was he forking out for a ticket back home later this same day
10:51you're suggesting
10:53the victim didn't take his own life
10:56I am indeed
10:59which means
11:01someone else did
11:06I was at home asleep when Kevin phone was just gone half past three in the morning he sounded drunk
11:12upset said he
11:14was coming here and that it had enough and he couldn't do this anymore couldn't do what anymore it had
11:20a tough time lately
11:21his girlfriend split up with him and flew back to the UK he was stuck on the island
11:27living alone
11:27and what would you say is his demeanor was when you got here I mean he was always a bit
11:33on edge
11:34right
11:34he was an anxious kid bless him
11:37a bit socially awkward you know
11:39but this felt more intense
11:41kept saying he wanted things to be over
11:44but needed it to be done in his own time
11:47well that's when he went up on the roof
11:48and I was going to follow him up but Debra arrived
11:52Rosalie phoned me
11:55worried so
11:55I jumped in my car and I got here as quick as I could
11:58but next thing
11:59Kevin locked the roof door
12:01and that's when Debra said I should phone
12:03you commissioner
12:06this roof door key
12:08was in Kevin's pocket
12:10you didn't have a spare you could have used to open the door
12:13well there's never been another copy
12:15people go up there to take their breaks
12:17so we just leave it unlocked
12:21and where were you all when you fell
12:22I followed Commissioner Patterson up to the roof
12:26Rosalie and I were at the bottom of the stairs
12:29Mr. McCann
12:30I was just pulling up in my car
12:34why are you asking where we all were when it happened?
12:37why does that matter?
12:40because we are treating Kevin Felton's death as suspicious
12:44I'm sorry you think
12:46we think there is a possibility
12:50that Kevin Felton was pushed
12:52to his death
12:54you're having a laugh right?
12:56no
12:58I'm not
12:58but how commissioner
13:00because when you broke the door down
13:01there was no one else there
13:02so
13:02how could someone push Kevin
13:04when he was on his own?
13:10we're working on that
13:37I told George that he needed to move officers know you were back
13:41but he dragged his feet
13:42but why are they even working in government house?
13:45it was Mr. McCann who moved them all here
13:48I heard him say that he wanted to get away from the interfering busybodies at the main offices
13:54did he know?
14:00I'm also going to need your keys to the building as we're locking it down until further notice
14:05thank you
14:07we've done door to door but everywhere was closed when it happened so no witnesses
14:11call it to five Sunday morning
14:13hardly surprising
14:16sergeant fletcher
14:17I presume
14:18commissioner paterson

19:16the day requires you to sing a ling so get up and get yourself into the swing get up in
19:23the morning
19:26morning commissioner
19:31you're good i have some interesting information on george mccann oh yeah
19:41inspector what is that
19:45it's my uh bacon and friday body i didn't get my sunday full english yesterday so treating myself
19:54what it smells of egg because they put an egg in it i don't want my car smelling of egg
20:04inspector
20:13i had dinner at the yacht club last night and put some feelers out about our suspect
20:19four months ago mr mccann was brought on board a saint marie's business and tourism
20:25with our snazzy title so why here apparently he got bored with his businesses back in the uk
20:34and fancied branching out abroad what word is he accepts backhanders for companies who are keen to
20:40get their building developments really any actual evidence of this no but i trust my sources if george
20:49mccann is as corrupt as people say then then it could be something to do with kevin felton's death
20:56yeah yeah well we'll definitely look into that commissioner right then i better get myself back
21:01to the station we gotta go together i want to stay across this case that mother happened under my own
21:08nose uh right then okay sure great inspector please don't bring that eggy smell back into my car what
21:22am i supposed to do with it put it in your other hand put it out the window all right
21:27okay all right
21:28i'm holding it out the window that's very good post-mortem confirms kevin felton's injuries were
21:37sustained by a fall cold i spoke to his girlfriend back in the uk she video called him a couple
21:43days
21:43ago said he seemed pretty clump well he would do she dumped him actually she reckoned it was to do
21:50with something else of course she did he always like this yes apparently kevin desperately wanted
22:00to return home to england but george mccann wouldn't release him from his contract couldn't
22:05negotiate something she said kevin tried but mr mccann could be quite intimidating said he didn't like
22:12this loyalty like he was kind of punishing kevin have you searched the victim's apartment yet
22:17mr rose and i are going to do that straight after this uh what have you got there is that
22:21from
22:22the crime scene oh yeah so i found it on the victim just tucked under the front of his hoodie
22:29i think it's just a piece of rubbish sagittarius what star song was kevin felton uh 23rd of april so
22:40so if he was a tourist why does he have a sagittarian horoscope on him
22:46uh like i said son maybe it's just a piece of rubbish yeah you said but what was it doing
22:52on
22:52him in the first place i mean did it just happen to be fluttering by while he was falling to
22:56his death
22:56i don't think so anything else well i'm about to head over and speak with my secretary rosalie
23:02she spent the last few months working alongside our suspects good idea sir is that it one more thing
23:10actually leo quinn george mccann's intern he's on his way into the station why because sergeant fletcher
23:19and officer rose discovered that he had a big argument with our victim just a few hours before
23:24he was murdered you wanted to talk with me so we checked kevin felton's finances and we know
23:32he drank at shade's bar late saturday night that's kevin our officers also spoke to the barman and he
23:40says he saw kevin having a very heated conversation with a man matching your description and if i'm not
23:47mistaken i believe that's you there i wouldn't say it got that heated between us
23:57um i mean i can see how that appears but i can promise you it really was all chill between
24:03us
24:05oh um that's you being chill
24:12okay look leo i'm going to tell you something and i want you to listen carefully before you respond
24:17because right now you're in danger of looking like a bit of an idiot
24:20now the lip reader hasn't had a chance to examine this properly yet but when they do
24:25they'll know exactly what was being said there we were arguing about something kevin knew
24:30i had found out about my dad who's your dad george mccann he didn't want people knowing about it
24:41he didn't want people thinking he took me on just because i'm his son right and what had kevin
24:47found out about your dad was it something about him being corrupt taking payments what kevin was
24:55threatening to reveal this is that what he was referring to when he told rosalie he wants it over
25:01kevin said dad had it coming
25:05and that's why i lost it like i did and then you followed him to government house because you're
25:10worried about what he's going to say to the police i mean that's a pretty strong motive right oh
25:17no look i was angry and i was worried i'll admit that but
25:23not so much that i'd go and kill him and i was nowhere near that roof so i couldn't have
25:28done it
25:32not so much that's why kevin felt like this pizza i reckon he was lonely you know had no friends
25:38here
25:39just stayed in all day playing games eating pizza
25:45i mean i think about it i could get used to that you know
25:53so sarge i have to know what was it like being an office here in jamaica huh must have been
26:01full
26:01on right like some real bad man huh big island like that well kingston town definitely has a life about
26:10it you know there's always something going down you got to keep your eye out for what made you come
26:17back oh i i don't know i it just felt like the right time i guess
26:32there's nothing in the bin he must have recently emptied that can you go check the garbage outside
26:36gotcha that's some super smart jamaican kind of thinking going on huh
26:50okay well thanks for talking with me
26:55that was leo quinn's mother angela back in the uk thought i'd see if she could tell us anything
27:00about leo and his father and her and george have been estranged a long time he wasn't really a big
27:08part of leo's life growing up so why did george end up giving him a job out here it wasn't
27:12george's
27:13choice sounds like leo always wanted to follow in his father's footsteps maybe idolized him a bit
27:21what have you got suspect's phone records and a fair bit of activity the night of the murder first
27:27leo calls george at 309 presumably to let him know that kevin was threatening to expose his corruption
27:32then george gets straight onto the blower to deborah we have a situation
27:37and again 40 minutes later i mean there's definitely something dodgy going on between them
27:42but which one pushed kevin off the roof and how they managed to do it when none of them were
27:46anywhere
27:47near him ain't got a scooby hang on looks like the search of kevin felton's apartment has proved fruitful
27:54here we have bag number one and you're probably thinking why i'm gonna call it bag number one
28:01that's because inside of it is bag number two we checked is the same confidential way sacks as
28:09the one that they use in the government house you're probably wondering what's inside bag number two
28:24you know you're gonna have to clean all this up officer rose yeah i know but it was worth it
28:29okay so why did our victim take this confidential shredded waste to his house and then bin it my
28:37thinking is that kevin felton was looking for something a document that had been shredded but the
28:42fact that he then put all of this back into the rubbish bin could suggest that maybe he found
28:47what he was looking for it's possible so then where is it if kevin felton did piece together some sort
28:55of documents what he do with it unless he had it on him when he went to government house yesterday
29:02but
29:02it wasn't about his person and all the suspects were searched before they left government house
29:07so no one took it with them then it could still be there right first thing in the morning we
29:14need to
29:14search that building
29:20i had a go of the police
29:24i think they're onto you
29:42i think we've met before i actually grew up here in saint marie and i might have come here a
29:52couple of
29:53times when i was a teenager and you you might have kicked me out a couple of times for not
29:59being
29:59ordinary i remember you and your friends would drive me crazy i am so sorry i promise i'm so much
30:08better
30:08be here now excuse me one moment
30:20hello stranger welcome home
30:27it's so good to see you i'm so happy you're back on saint marie where you belong
30:34it's not been the same without you i've missed it here and your job too
30:40i don't regret having had some time away spending a bit with andrina but i realized there's more i have
30:48to give to this island but maybe not the return that you quite envisaged no
30:57i've had dealings with george mccann as mayor
31:03he's what the english would call a bad egg
31:06i don't know all he's been up to yet but i know enough and the fact that he's been conducting
31:13his
31:13nefarious business in one of this island's most respected buildings
31:17it's not right i want this case solved and i want him and his team out
31:26that building this island deserve better
31:36solomon welcome come in man a little something for us to band over the old kill devil
31:45shouldn't there have been a label on this do you think it's vintage you never get a label with a
31:49proper old stuff oh wow if you say so here you go well this is a sweet little place you've
32:04got i know
32:05all right came with the job and how did you end up being a detective was it always what you
32:11wanted to do
32:13well kinda i really liked um solving things when i was a kid moving around foster families and care
32:23homes there'd always be some fight breaking out or things going missing or kids running away
32:29but i'd always be the one to sort things out and put things right you know
32:34yeah you've done well man you should be proud thank you i am
32:43oh wow
32:51so uh what about you mate what's your line of work oh you know this and that with a buying
32:58and selling
32:59but i've not really found my thing yet not like you have
33:03well finding your thing can take time can't it listen man i'm sorry things were so hectic last night
33:12but i'm glad we're doing this straight up me too solomon me too call me sol yeah so
33:36good morning naomi morning sir how are you doing uh good yeah really good actually
33:47things went better with your brother last night yeah definitely i mean it was really good to have
33:55some proper time together you know and we uh we just talked a lot mostly about dawna i mean our
34:04mum
34:06yeah it was just really nice to hear what she was like as a as a mother you know i'm
34:13pleased for you sir
34:18so uh we've got the transcript through from the lip reader oh right yeah and it's pretty much as leo
34:25said apart from one thing mention at one point of a title deed for a property that was being developed
34:30but kevin turns his back as soon as he says it so that's all i got i just wondered if
34:36that's the
34:37document kevin was looking for in the confidential list i've asked matty and
34:42said to keep an eye out when searching government house good work ah morning commissioner rosalie and
34:49i have something of use to the investigation there's a homeless guy who often sleeps in the town square
34:59outside government house his name is lloyd and i saw him there when i arrived the night it all happened
35:06so he's a possible witness we went to visit him he clearly come into some money recently
35:12he was wearing new clothes he said two months ago he'd been given 500 to go and sleep somewhere else
35:20by a woman matching deborah shellman's description she paid him off so he wasn't there to witness
35:29whatever was about to happen that's what deborah does she makes problems disappear so as kevin was
35:37proving to be a threat to george does she make that problem disappear as well
35:45this is ridiculous i admit i gave the man a few quid a few quid you gave him five hundred
35:51dollars
35:51miss sherman only because i felt bad for him i never said he had to move somewhere else what he
35:56says you
35:57did all i said was i hope he can find somewhere more comfortable to sleep with the money i gave
36:01him
36:02he must have misunderstood and your role is well remunerated right oh we checked the company's
36:09finances you seem to get a lot of bonuses it matters to him people are loyal and he rewards them
36:16for it
36:17okay so what is your official job title miss shillman i'm george's operations manager
36:24operations manager and what does that entail exactly anything and everything but not because i think this is
36:30where you're heading pushing a man off a roof you're right that george pays me well but it's not
36:36enough for me to kill for him if there's nothing else
36:47let's see what the search has shown up
36:58george it's me the police are getting warmer much warmer
37:05there's not in here that we could find us like a title deed or any other documents that have been
37:09shredded but the only thing of interest was this these are the ground plans for a boutique hotel
37:16development they have a swimming pool spa restaurant nice very bougie i'll get it
37:27it's just there are no details on it no architect mentioned no address name of developer and all the
37:35other projects here have those details except for this it just makes me think that there's something
37:42they're trying to find they're trying to hide
37:54so who was at the door earlier just some guy wanted me to move the bike was blocking him in
38:03something wrong sarge maybe
38:07so sarge what are we looking for something doesn't make sense maybe that guy was distracting you so
38:26someone could slip inside and hide while you move the bike ah i knew something wasn't right you know
38:34why all right i'll check over
38:44i knew it
38:47i knew it
38:47from sergeant fletcher george mccan just broke into government house
38:52see next step through the ramp i escape he's in a great conversable license number charlie zulu 217
38:57from the hotel heading east along main road we'll pursue warm-up
39:02okay
39:12we're on him mate you can stand down over
39:36what the hell is she doing
39:43mr mccan i need you to step out of the vehicle please
39:52sergeant fletcher you all right sergeant fletcher
39:58yeah no yeah i'm okay i'm i'm fine that really wasn't cool i was just trying not now inspector
40:08we'll do this later
40:13i think this is what kevin felton had found it's a title date but look where it's for
40:20government house no architect mentioned no address name of developer you're gonna tear it down or as
40:27good as turn it into a hotel
40:36commissioner there's a development you need to know about as i'm sure you're aware mr mccan i have a
40:43detective and two uniformed officers at your solicitor's office with a search warrant they
40:49have already uncovered further evidence confirming our suspicions all right well hit me with what
40:57you've got and i'll tell you if you're close you and your team were of the belief that the land
41:03government house sits on wasn't actually owned by the government the only title deed in existence
41:11showed it belonged to a farmer who passed away in the early 1900s with questionable maneuverings
41:19you attempted to make a land grab there's nothing questionable about it it's all within the
41:26boundaries of the law but let's not split hairs as you were a lost title deed that superseded the one
41:33you had it showed the land was legally acquired by the saint marie government in 1929 which is why you
41:44proceeded to destroy it unfortunately for you kevin felton had suspicions he retrieved the document pieced
41:53it together and worked out what you were up to that is why you murdered him before he could reveal
42:00the truth you're 99 percent right i admit i had big plans for that whole relic of a building would
42:09have
42:09been a gold mine and yeah maybe i played a bit fast and loose with the planning laws here so
42:15go ahead
42:15and charge me with whatever i'll let my solicitor work his magic because and you should know this
42:22he's good at that very good now let's get on to the one percent you're wrong about kevin felton's death
42:31as you know commissioner paterson me deb's leo none of us were on that rooftop when it happened so how
42:38in any way could it be murder
42:46he's right all our suspects have the perfect alibi me we're farther away from solving this murder as we
42:54were at the start of the case
42:58what there's a man with a flamingo strapped to the back of his car
43:03uh yeah that's um my brother my half brother
43:10um i'll give you a little knife
43:16brother my man how's things it was a fine old night we had last night yeah yeah it really was
43:24we should do it again sometime soon let's keep the dialogue going yeah no question so what are you
43:30doing here uh i uh i wanted to talk to you about something a kind of fever yeah okay i
43:37was wondering
43:38you couldn't loan me a little money just temporary like um yeah sure what is it fifty hundred two thousand
43:51two thousand dollars
43:55so that's not a little that's hey the thing is there's a couple of business opportunities right
44:02for investment coming my way and have it back to you in no time i don't think i've got that
44:07kind of money
44:08to lend i know we're brothers but hey i've only no worries man it's cool always worth to ask right
44:21what is that what all this is about me and you you just needed some money what no car's not
44:28i want to do this for real i just thought
44:33i'm sorry
44:38i uh better shoot
44:41yeah
44:46nearly forgot is it all right if i nip by your place and pick up that flamingo you've been looking
44:52after
44:54isn't that it no man that's the other one they're a matching pair that's why to bring this one here
45:00i'm reuniting them oh yeah i see um yeah yeah help yourself
45:14how's it going you both
45:18honestly
45:20i don't know i mean right now it feels like we're both coming at this
45:26or other thing from completely different directions well that doesn't mean it isn't worth sticking at him
45:39the flamingo
45:41flamingo the flamingo
45:44well that's it isn't it that's how
45:47that's how the victim could have been pushed off the rooftop without anyone being there
45:51how could someone push kevin off the roof when he was on his own
45:54rosalie phoned me worried so i jumped to my car and i got here as quick as i could but
45:59kevin
46:00not the roof door is he still up there yes
46:06like i said sir it's probably just a piece of rubbish
46:10and that explains the horoscope the horoscope horoscope
46:14and the flamingo the horoscope and the flamingo that explains everything well almost i need to check
46:19a couple of things first the gps tracker on the car that picked you up and i need to take
46:24a look
46:24outside government house
46:34so
46:35so what's he looking for
46:40i have no idea
46:47but whatever it is i think he found it
46:57this case
46:59i'll be honest
47:01it's been tough
47:02our victim falls to his death from a roof
47:05our three suspects all have solid alibis
47:11because you could all be accounted for at the time it happened the only explanation that makes
47:15sense is that kevin felton jumped to his own accord that's what we've been saying from the start
47:21it was suicide except it wasn't it was murder and we now know that it was you leo quinn who
47:29did it
47:31i was with everyone else when it happened like you said well yeah except that's not when it happened
47:37or indeed where it happened because at the point where kevin felton was heard falling onto that car
47:46it was already dead and to make it look like that's when and indeed how it happened you and your
47:54father
47:55and miss shellman constructed a very clever plan that nearly had us all fooled you see it was
48:02something i saw just this afternoon someone was transporting something on the back of their car
48:07and it got me to thinking how you could have made it look like kevin fell on that car when
48:12he didn't
48:13then i remembered this it's a horoscope it's all from a newspaper found tucked inside kevin's hoodie
48:20and that's when i started to wonder if kevin didn't fall where we thought he did
48:29mr quinn we know the night of his murder kevin told you he was going to reveal the truth about
48:37mr mccann making an illegal land grab on that building
48:45and so you phoned your father and you both headed off the government house where kevin
48:53phoned rosalie no i didn't i didn't follow kevin oh but you did leo you see i checked the gps
48:59tracking
49:00on your car and it shows that you arrived at government house at 3 44 a.m
49:07and parked around the back for 26 minutes it was a big deal for kevin what he was going to
49:13do that
49:14night we know he felt intimidated by you mr mccann so calling the police revealing your corruption
49:23i think that weighed heavy on him but i need to do it in my own time right it's maybe
49:28why he went to the
49:29bar first and had a couple of drinks that evening to steal his nerves because he discovered a crime
49:36was being committed by you his boss and he wanted the truth to come out and doing so would also
49:44mean
49:44he could finally leave his lonely life here and fly back home to england feeling anxious he went up onto
49:52the roof to get some air and when rosalie went downstairs to see michelle man mr quinn you also
50:01headed up to the roof we'll never know what happened up there that night we assume you you can't do
50:07this
50:07to us pleaded with him but he refused to listen to you everything my father's built up his reputation
50:16who go to prison for fraud and in the heat of the moment you ran at kevin with some force
50:23and you
50:24pushed him
50:29miss mccann i believe you arrived at government house around the same time that happened
50:36we understand you never had much involvement in your son's life so why not just let the police
50:42deal with his actions why risk getting involved yourself well we think after seeing what leo had
50:51done realizing the loyalty he'd shown in trying to protect you you decided to help him phone records
50:58show that you made your second call to me shellman that night at 4.04 in the morning to a
51:05bring her in
51:07on your plan and b to tell her to keep rosalie distracted downstairs while leo exited the roof
51:14so as instructed leo recovered the title date from kevin's back and came off the roof locking the door
51:21with the only key and taking it with him you then told leo to go and collect the commissioner from
51:26the
51:27airport as he was supposed to at 4 30 a.m while you remained in the alley with kevin's body
51:32it was four in the morning so unlikely anyone would appear but in case someone did you knew you could
51:37deal with it i mean we know you're no stranger to chucking money at a problem to make it go
51:42away
51:44and deborah you tasked rosalie with getting hold of the commissioner once he landed
51:48while you went and dealt with kevin pretending he was still alive behind the door
51:54kevin when i arrived at government house with mr queen rosalie took me upstairs believing kevin was
52:05on the roof we had no reason to think you didn't follow us inside but you didn't you turned got
52:14in
52:14your car and drove round to the alley at the back of the building as the gps also proves once
52:21there you
52:21knew you had to make some kind of dent in the roof to make it look as though kevin had
52:27fallen in it
52:31i imagine you would just jump up and down on it and you and your father george mccann
52:36moved kevin's body onto the car roof remembering to put the roof dorky in his pocket unfortunately for
52:45you there were bins out back overflowing and this unassuming piece of rubbish must have been lying on
52:54the ground and as you move kevin's body got stuck under his hoodie you see it was always bugging me
53:00why this was inside kevin's clothing but if he fell at the rear of the building and not at the
53:08front
53:09then this little horoscope starts to make sense he got sold out from a piece of paper
53:14uh-huh mr quinn you then drove around to the front of the building and parked the vehicle exactly
53:22where you had previously before heading inside mr mccann you also drove around to the front of the
53:29building and proceeded to create a loud bang
53:38hearing that noise from outside was leo's cue to set off his car along
53:44while you got back into your car giving the impression you just arrived it was certainly a
53:50convincing show you put on and you very nearly got away with it you tried to take from this island
53:58somewhere that stands for all that is good and right but much like myself that building isn't going
54:07anywhere george mccann stand up stand up
54:18i'm arresting you for perverting the course of justice fraud and theft and for assisting in the
54:39you do not have to say anything but if you want me to say if you do not make me
54:49thank you
54:57you wanted to see me commissioner
55:00come
55:09you've done some good work sergeant fletcher during this case
55:14and you seem to have settled in well with your colleagues
55:18but after hearing what happened this afternoon
55:22your reckless behavior i am concerned i am sorry sir i just wanted to get us a result and
55:34i knew it was a stupid thing to do
55:38how do i know it won't happen again
55:42because i won't let it i just lost myself for a moment
55:50it isn't the first time though is it that you have lost yourself
55:58your employment file from jamaica and i've spoken to the chief commissioner
56:05so
56:08i know what happened there before you left
56:13that's all in the past now sir it's behind me
56:18i promise you there will be no more mistakes
56:26okay
56:28whoa
56:40i'm sorry about your brother sir that he made things awkward for you
56:44maybe the commissioner was right
