00:00Previously on Mama June Family Crisis.
00:03Where the hell is Josh at?
00:04Mama, I really don't know.
00:05I'm sick of him.
00:06We're getting a divorce.
00:08What?
00:09I finally told my family it's something
00:11I've been keeping from everyone.
00:13So he's getting out.
00:14Mama, whoa!
00:15I haven't even told him.
00:16This is going to suck for Ellie,
00:18because I don't know how Pumpkin's going to even tell her
00:20that Pumpkin and Dadda are getting a divorce.
00:22And the next day in therapy, I finally told Josh my truth.
00:26I think it would just be better if maybe, like,
00:29we just filed for a divorce.
00:32Am I OK?
00:34Definitely not.
00:35I promise it's going to get better.
00:36I know it seems like it ain't right now, but.
00:40Well, see, look at you.
00:41Always come back home to Mama.
00:43Meanwhile, Alana's focused on college,
00:45but also stressing over Draylon's legal issues.
00:48The judge really could sentence you to 10 years in prison.
00:51What are you going to do, sit here and harp
00:52and wait on him for 10 years?
00:54Girl, you have a life to live.
00:55Mama's also dealing with the fight of her life,
00:57a custody battle for Caitlyn.
00:59So my lawyer just called, and they said that my court date
01:02got moved up from a month from now to tomorrow.
01:05Even though we know what Anna wanted at the end of the day,
01:08unfortunately, we have to be left up to the judge.
01:11Of course, Mama said things on the stand she shouldn't have.
01:14So who knows how this case is going to go now.
01:17But nothing prepared us for how the judge finally ruled.
01:20I can't believe this.
01:21Yeah.
01:22What happened?
01:47Today we walk out of the courtroom, it's bright, it's sunny.
01:50This is Anna right now.
01:52And look, she's happy.
01:57I'm sorry.
01:58I keep her memory very much alive.
01:59Yeah.
02:00You should.
02:01And now she can rest.
02:04How do you feel?
02:06Happy.
02:08So we won the case.
02:10I got up there on the stand on day two, and I felt like Anna overtook me.
02:15And I said that Anna wants Caitlyn raised by her biological family and where she knows she's safe.
02:21So all in all, it's a win, and we can be able to move on from this.
02:25How do you feel?
02:26Thank you so much.
02:26So again.
02:28All right.
02:29Let's go eat, y'all.
02:30All right.
02:30Come on.
02:30I'm going to drive.
02:31Like a victory lunch.
02:33Honestly, with Mama winning, it really is a big relief because we all knew that if Michael won,
02:38it would be a completely different story.
02:40He would have snatched us out of Caitlyn's lives.
02:42I'm just glad that now all of that stress is over.
02:45We can finally let Anna's name go to rest.
02:48Nobody's dragging her through the courtroom.
02:50Nobody's dragging Caitlyn through the courtroom.
02:51And now I feel like Caitlyn and everybody else can just move on with life.
02:57Now we can have different conversations.
02:59Yeah, that's what I'm ready for.
03:00That's what I'm ready for.
03:02It's still funny to me, though.
03:03Like, their side today, is they a fan of Caitlyn?
03:05Nope.
03:07I am glad that I can live with my biological family,
03:10and I can see Pumpkin, Alana, Jessica, June, Justin, all them people.
03:15Yeah, life's going pretty good for me.
03:19Honestly, like, I am glad it's over.
03:20To be able to move forward as a family.
03:23But, I mean, I will tell you, Anna won't ever be forgotten, bitch.
03:26Nope.
03:35Well, hey, you told the judge what you wanted, and he listened.
03:41You ready to go eat? What you gonna eat?
03:43A salad.
03:44A salad?
03:45A salad?
03:46That's all I eat.
03:47I don't think you really fit in with us.
03:48Uh, yeah, like, I mean, who eats rabbit food?
03:51Me.
03:52You.
03:53I do not.
03:54I eat protein.
03:55Hey, how are y'all doing?
03:56How are you?
03:57I'm good.
03:58My name's Zoe.
03:58I'll be taking care of y'all today.
04:00We don't even need these.
04:01We've been here before.
04:02We're just gonna order the, uh, cheese pizza, uh, all meat pizza,
04:08barbecue wings, buffalo wings, and then the buffalo chicken dip.
04:12Okay, so I can't eat any of that, so I need a side of chicken bleeds.
04:16Side of chicken?
04:17Yeah.
04:17I'll grab those drinks for y'all.
04:19Like, you could have ate the pizza today.
04:20No.
04:21Today.
04:21No.
04:22Today is a chicken.
04:23Thank you, Eldridge.
04:24No, I don't care.
04:25I can't.
04:26No.
04:26The fact that mama only ordered grilled chicken is insane.
04:29Normally, she'd be like, can I get one of everything on the menu?
04:32Lemonade.
04:33Sweet tea.
04:34I want calamari, half a slab of ribs, and mozzarella sticks.
04:39Chicken wings.
04:40I want it with fries.
04:41What do you want?
04:42You want no bacon?
04:43Yeah, high cauliflower.
04:45You want something now?
04:46There's always room for dessert.
04:50So, I guess she really is dieting.
04:53Y'all want a cheers?
04:54Yeah.
04:54Cheers.
04:56Today is about Katie P.
04:57Finally.
04:58Ready?
04:59Cheers to Katie P.
05:00To Katie P.
05:02You're stuck with this group, Katie P.
05:08So, y'all going to have fun eating that, and I'm going to eat my chicken.
05:12I mean, you don't miss chicken one?
05:19Are you getting a saucy one?
05:23She's licking it and smelling it.
05:25It's pretty good, ain't it?
05:26Yeah, but I can do the sauce.
05:27It's only 75 calories.
05:29She's going to lick them things dry.
05:34My goal is to be at, like, 170, but I'm only at, like, 213.
05:39For me, my relationship with food is, like, a lot different.
05:43So, in my opinion, instead of eating the whole chicken wing and eating the whole basket that's,
05:48like, 800 calories, I can just lick the sauce and just try it.
05:52I'm excited it's over.
05:54Well, I know you are.
05:56Now we can move out of the house.
05:58I don't even know how y'all stay there as long as y'all have, honestly.
06:01It's like Groundhog Day every day.
06:03I'm ready to move out of the house that we live in because I never realized when people said,
06:08oh, I can't live in the house that somebody passed away in.
06:10I never thought that was a real thing until Anna passed away in my house.
06:14Because I can't stand to be there.
06:18So, what is it?
06:19Back in a divorce and, like, back living with mama with the kids?
06:25I don't know, mama.
06:26I'm not really trying to talk about the today.
06:27Well, how big of a house do I need to be looking at, pumpkin?
06:30How many rooms do I need to get?
06:33Well, Jeanne, but I can't move in with you.
06:36The kids, you'd be spoiled like less.
06:39Oh, I see what's happening.
06:40Mama thinks that now, because I have trouble in paradise,
06:44I'm going to move in with her and all this stuff.
06:47No, ma'am.
06:48I'm not doing that.
06:50But I can, like, give myself a little pat on the back.
06:53I mean, I have to really give Anna a pat on the back because...
06:55You can't do it no more.
06:56Oh, yes, I can, baby.
06:57I can go home and hug that urn like it ain't nothing no more.
06:59So, anyway, we are brought by Anna as a family.
07:02Good job.
07:02Even though we might be a dysfunctional family,
07:05our dysfunctionality works for our family at the end of the day.
07:08We're not talking about that.
07:09Yeah.
07:10Come back.
07:16Oh, Joomba.
07:18What?
07:19Brush some damn teeth.
07:21Ain't you glad that's over with?
07:23Yeah.
07:24That was, uh, traumatic.
07:27Oh.
07:31I want to look at you.
07:33What?
07:34You mean too fresh breath?
07:35You mean too fresh?
07:37I, yeah.
07:38You gonna canoodle me tonight?
07:40A canoodle?
07:41Yeah.
07:42What is a canoodle?
07:43When you love and cuddle up.
07:45I don't see you canoodling me.
07:47I know because as soon as you hit this bed, you're gonna go to sleep.
07:50Like, this whole court case has been emotionally draining.
07:53It's over with.
07:55Today.
07:55I mean, it's been hell.
07:57But sometimes you don't feel like I do appreciate you, but I really do, for real, for real.
08:05Well, then you can give me a foot massage.
08:07Baby, I don't do feet.
08:10So, I mean, I'm ready to move the helipod out of here now.
08:12I do want, like, a four or five bedroom house because, you know, I mean, a pumpkin has to move
08:16in with the four babies.
08:18No.
08:19Moving in with the four babies.
08:21Yeah.
08:21Oh, God.
08:22You don't just run the show anymore, Junebug.
08:25I'm talking to you next time.
08:43Hey.
08:45Hey.
08:47How'd it go?
08:48Good.
08:49Mama won, so we went out to celebrate.
08:51The kids were asleep?
08:53Yeah.
08:56Well, I haven't really had, like, a lot of time to talk or nothing, so maybe we could go and,
09:01like,
09:01grab coffee and get out of the house tomorrow.
09:04Sure.
09:05Okay.
09:07I had to go to the warehouse so I could just meet you there.
09:12Okay.
09:13All right.
09:13Well, I'm going to bed.
09:14Good night.
09:16Good night.
09:24Good night.
09:24Her wanting to go have coffee gives me some kind of glimmer of hope that she might reconsider,
09:30but then...
09:34you never know.
09:56Oh, well, I just got back home from all that court s*** today.
10:11Yeah, I already know, girl.
10:13Today, all that stuff with Caitlyn was, like, finalized, and it really just makes me think, like,
10:18I need to go ahead and get my ducks in a row.
10:22Probably going to talk to him tomorrow about trying to get the papers finalized.
10:34No, Alana, don't be trying to talk me out of this. Like, I've already made up my mind.
10:37I know that it's really gonna hurt Alana about me and Josh getting divorced, especially because
10:42we're kind of like the only two parents Alana's really ever known and given her that stability.
10:47But I've also preached to Josh for years about communication and doing more things together and
10:55all the things that have been going wrong in our marriage, and it hasn't changed. So now,
11:02I'm changing. I want better for myself, and I want Alana to notice that when she's an adult, too.
11:08Call me tomorrow, then.
11:10Okay, girl.
11:11Boom.
11:16Coming up on Mama June Family Crisis.
11:20I've been thinking about my little birthday coming up, but I was thinking about inviting the fam.
11:24The fam?
11:25Maybe they want to bring the drummer out here.
11:27Your mother, she's gonna bring it everywhere she goes.
11:29I hope y'all have a fun time with your Gigi.
11:33Oh, this meltdown city.
11:35Bye.
11:36Why are we here by ourselves?
11:37We have something we need to tell you.
11:53Babe.
11:56No, why is when the butter in there first?
11:58The butter is in there.
11:59Why are you in here bossing people around?
12:02See, you in here making a mess.
12:06What's going on, guys?
12:08I got to call a realtor about a house.
12:10Wait, wait, wait.
12:12A house?
12:13Yes.
12:14Not a trailer, a house.
12:16Okay, so we can get like a pool, two-story house, giant garage.
12:19We definitely need a basement.
12:21And what the hell we need a basement for?
12:23I mean, hello, a man cave.
12:24Like, I need my own little spot to get away from everybody.
12:29Well, I got to go back and phone call to Kelly and see what she's got.
12:33Kelly?
12:34Yeah.
12:35Who's Kelly?
12:35She sold me my house in Hampton years ago.
12:44I'm not really looking to buy anything.
12:49I am looking like for a four-bedroom.
12:51Where's the pool?
12:52I want to be out of the house I'm in right now within 60 days.
12:56I'm just looking to get a bunch of houses together and just go and like look at them.
13:00Okay.
13:01Y'all just make sure it has a pool, okay?
13:04Um, I don't really want to go over like 2,500.
13:09Back in 2014, I bought a home and it was amazing.
13:12It was a five-bedroom, three-bath home, 4,400 square foot, two-car garage.
13:18I mean, a lot of great memories happened there.
13:20Show them what you really are.
13:22She loves hanging out with her daughter, especially Alana.
13:25Oh, wow.
13:26Seven pounds, 14 ounces.
13:28Ella Grace.
13:32Pumpkin, can you marry me?
13:34Oh, yes.
13:36Now go down, touch your butt.
13:38You're sitting down, listen, touch your butt.
13:41The reason why I sold my house in 2019 was because I was in the midst of my addiction.
13:45I was broke as , needed money.
13:47But now, you know, I'm not in that lifestyle.
13:50I'm over five years clean.
13:51I don't even think about that old life.
13:53And I am ready to sell down into like another home.
13:562,500 is a realistic price to pay for rent to get a house the same size as my old
14:02house was.
14:04Okay, so just text you as quickly as I can start setting up some appointments.
14:08Yes, ma'am.
14:08And then we can just work on the days that we come up there.
14:11Okay.
14:12Thank you, Ms. Kelly.
14:14You're welcome, June.
14:15I'll talk to you in a couple of days.
14:16Okay.
14:17All right.
14:17Thanks.
14:17Bye.
14:18I mean, that sounds good.
14:20Honestly, like, I'm going to do salty.
14:23I ain't even putting no salt on them.
14:25Oh, what the hell?
14:25That is salty as hell.
14:27Taste them.
14:28No, I'm good.
14:44Can I get it for you?
14:46Um, yes, ma'am.
14:47Can I do the Georgia's sunrise lemonade?
14:51All right.
14:51Is the witch's brew, is it sweet?
14:53It's pumpkin pie, toasted marshmallow, and vanilla.
14:56Okay, I'll take that.
14:57Okay.
15:14Nice of you to finally show up.
15:16Yeah.
15:17I was trying to get her home in time, but I had to wait on mama to get there to
15:20watch the kids,
15:20so.
15:22Well, I got you this lemonade.
15:26I did want to talk today because, I mean, I don't know.
15:30I never really had to do this before.
15:33I mean, this isn't something we, like, initially planned for six years ago.
15:42I never dreamed of meeting someone I wanted to marry.
15:45But that all changed when we met, and when we brought precious Ella into the world.
15:52There's things that we need to decide on because we do need to make this divorce final.
16:00You sure that's what you want to do?
16:02Yeah.
16:07I called, um, our attorney, Sarah, to try to see the process with doing a divorce.
16:14But she was saying that there isn't no fight in between us or anything, like, on the kids.
16:18That's what they consider, like, an uncontested divorce, where you're not arguing about anything.
16:24But in order for us to do that, we have to, like, agree with it before we sit down with
16:29her.
16:29You know?
16:30The only thing we really have is the kids.
16:35So, like, I just figured I'd get 50%.
16:38Like, you'll get 50%.
16:43You know, I thought these conversations would come up, maybe just not so quickly.
16:47But, you know, I also had faith in that Pumpkin might have made a different decision or a change of
16:56heart.
16:56But I guess not. So, the only thing I'm looking forward to now is raising the kids.
17:05I mean, other than the kids, the only other thing is the house.
17:09I mean, honestly, like, if you want to stay there, then that's okay with me.
17:13Like, I can start looking for places.
17:16Keep the house if you want it. Like, I don't, I don't really want it.
17:22I mean, it's just all the memories and everything else. Like, I'm not prepared to sit there and stare at
17:28that.
17:30Really?
17:31I know Josh is having a hard time with all this. And honestly, like, I still do care enough to
17:36hear what's going on inside of his head.
17:39But I know for a fact, if Josh wasn't talking to me about his feelings and his emotions when we
17:43were married, well, he sure as hell ain't going to do it now that we're divorcing.
17:48I just have to figure out where I'm going to go and move.
17:54Did Sarah say there was any other things as far as, like?
17:57Like, our cars are separate. Like, our banks are separate. Like, those are things that normal people fight over in
18:03divorces.
18:04Some people fight about the canned goods in the pantry.
18:07I'm going to fight you over a damn can of cream of chicken and get a grip.
18:12I don't know, you might. You love cream of chicken.
18:17Get my rice.
18:18Yeah, I know.
18:21With chops of chicken in there. I know, I make the best. You ain't never going to find another one
18:24that makes it like me.
18:25My mama makes it the best.
18:26Mm, lies.
18:27Get in the hell of yourself.
18:28She don't even make good meatloaf.
18:31I hate her meatloaf.
18:32Why, because it's got onions in it?
18:33Blech!
18:38I will say, out of all of it, I hope there is somewhat of a friendship that is salvageable, in
18:44a sense.
18:47Yeah.
18:48It's all right, honey.
18:51It's all right.
19:02Well, I have to go to the warehouse for a little bit.
19:09All right.
19:10All right.
19:12All right.
19:20Coming up on Mama June Family Crisis.
19:23Here, here she's like king of the mountain.
19:25I think this is where we need to be.
19:28We think of divorce like, this is horrible.
19:31Right.
19:31It doesn't have to be.
19:34Why are we here by ourselves?
19:36We have something we need to tell you.
19:47Hi.
19:47Hello.
19:48So, how have you been?
19:50Hi, big girls.
19:51My friend Kelly is a big realtor here in Georgia.
19:54She saw me in my first house.
19:56So, we're going to go look at the houses that she picked out.
20:00So, I gave her a list of what we wanted.
20:03And, you know, Caitlin wanted a pool.
20:05Joseph wanted a man cave.
20:07And I want a house with no gas.
20:08And I'm not going over 2,500.
20:10But I also want a four or five bedroom house.
20:13Because I always have had a place that if the kids need to come back.
20:16So, all this going on with Pumpkin and Josh.
20:19You know, you don't ever know if she needs a place to stay with the kids.
20:22If Drelin goes to court, you don't know if Alana's going to need a place to go.
20:25Like, I always want a place so my kids can always come back home to.
20:30Because when I moved out of my mom's house when I was 14, I wasn't allowed to go back.
20:34So, I don't want to be like that.
20:43So, how many bedrooms is this one?
20:45Four bedrooms.
20:45Does the furniture come with or no?
20:48You know, they have not offered it with the rental, but it's something you could ask for.
20:53And then you're in the kitchen, which is open to the family room.
20:57Okay.
20:57I'm not a big stickler on gas.
20:59Okay.
21:00Because you can have a gas leak and you don't even know it.
21:06The open concept is good.
21:08Where is the pool?
21:11I'm sorry, Angel.
21:12There's no, there's no pool.
21:16This house that we're looking at right now has no pool.
21:19Well, I mean, just slow your roll.
21:21Let's go in there and check it out.
21:22Who knows?
21:23It might have a man cave.
21:24Look here, buddy boy.
21:25Nothing all about Justin Thomas Stroud over here.
21:29No.
21:29Nothing ain't all about Caitlin Elizabeth Shannon.
21:32I'm going to get my pool.
21:34Oh, I call this room.
21:36June, we can share a bedroom.
21:39Oh, I ain't gonna lie.
21:40This right here is-
21:41No, me and June are sharing a bedroom.
21:42No, this is my man cave.
21:44The man cave.
21:45It's electrical in there too.
21:48And so this goes over the budget just a smidge.
21:51It's at 3,000.
21:533,000 a month?
21:55Yep.
21:55So this first house, I can already tell you, I ain't gonna work.
21:59I have a very short list of no, and gas stoves is one.
22:03And there is not going to be no man cave in the bedroom.
22:08No.
22:10Off to the second one.
22:11See if we can't find you something that you love.
22:14Yes, definitely.
22:16Honey baby, you are way underdressed for this next house.
22:20I'm underdressed.
22:20Because baby, you're going to see some famous people in there, isn't it?
22:23I'm famous too, June.
22:25All I got to do is look in the mirror.
22:26I can see myself every day.
22:29The Lake Spivey is where everybody's everybody.
22:32Rappers, other famous people.
22:33If you live in Atlanta, you're going to be living in Lake Spivey.
22:36Period.
22:36So I'm Mama June, and I deserve to be around other famous people too.
22:40I mean, it's my opportunity.
22:43Damn, bitch is nice.
22:53Look, there goes your swimming pool.
22:55That's a lake.
22:57Yep, we got you some water, baby.
22:59It's just gorgeous.
23:00Come on in.
23:01This is big though.
23:02Oh, it's real big.
23:05Okay.
23:06Okay.
23:06Okay.
23:07This, I have to say, is nice.
23:11Let's see about the stove though.
23:14And appliances.
23:15Oh.
23:17It's gas.
23:20We've got the pantry right here.
23:22Nope.
23:25Ow!
23:26This is not a...
23:27That's crazy.
23:28It doesn't look like a cabinet, and it's the refrigerator.
23:30This is the house that's big enough for everyone.
23:33Pumpkin, the kids.
23:35Yeah, definitely.
23:38Oh my God, this house is gorgeous.
23:40One, it's got its own way to the boat ramp.
23:45It's out on the lake.
23:47You can entertain outside.
23:49There's a big-ass kitchen in there.
23:52There is plenty of space for everybody, okay?
23:55Me, you, KDP, Pumpkin, Ella, Silas, Bentley, and Stella.
24:03You got a little fire pit there.
24:05A little gazebo entertaining area.
24:07Here, here's just like king of the mountain.
24:11Whoa.
24:12You know, I would love to live on the lake,
24:14even though June doesn't have the best history
24:17when it comes to water.
24:18We got you style hog.
24:19I can't feed the puke, for real.
24:22But me, on the other hand, I would love living on the lake.
24:25I mean, you get to live next to all these other famous people.
24:28I mean, to hear June tell it, Lake Spivey is where it's all at.
24:32Now, June, this is something I could wake up to every day.
24:37Okay.
24:38This is very nice.
24:41So, Kelly really hit it out of the park with this Lake Spivey house.
24:44And it's got everything that I want.
24:46Yes, it's got a gas stove, but I'm willing to look over that.
24:49And lucky enough, I got my Mama June pen,
24:51because I'm ready to sign this contract.
24:53So, you know, it's to the nines.
24:55This price per month is going to be over $3,000.
25:03I think this is where we need to be.
25:08I'm going to be selling and making a lot of pens, y'all.
25:11Y'all better get ready to buy some pens.
25:12It's going to be called Mama June's Rent Pens.
25:16Come on, Katie P.
25:17Help!
25:17I don't want to leave.
25:18Oh, she's not going.
25:19I want this house, not any other house.
25:36You know, I really don't want to have to meet with Sarah,
25:39but I know that divorces are like a whole legal thing.
25:42But me and Josh have figured it all out,
25:44so it should just be simple and easy.
25:47Hey, y'all.
25:48Good to see you.
25:49Hey, Josh, Lauren.
25:54So, a divorce.
25:55What's going on?
25:57Um, we just haven't been able to, like, really communicate.
26:01We're kind of like in that,
26:02we've been in that roommate stage for like a while.
26:05You know, we've went through therapy.
26:08It's like, I don't really feel like we're getting anywhere.
26:11Josh?
26:13It's about the gist of it.
26:16So you've talked about it, this is what you want to do?
26:19Yes, ma'am.
26:20Yeah.
26:21From what y'all are telling me,
26:22I'm kind of assuming that the grounds for divorce
26:25is just irreconcilable differences.
26:28Yes, ma'am.
26:29Okay.
26:29You've got four kids, don't you?
26:31Yes, ma'am.
26:32Have you talked about that,
26:33how you're going to do custody and...
26:36We have talked about that.
26:37Like, I don't want to, we both,
26:39that's why we're both, like, sitting here,
26:41because, like, we don't want to be bitter
26:43on either one of our ends or go through a nasty custody divorce.
26:47There's no point in that,
26:48because we both take care of our kids.
26:50We're both there for our kids, you know?
26:53So what have y'all talked about doing?
26:55Um, I think we agreed, like, on the 50-50,
26:59he'll have them a week, and then I'll have them a week.
27:01Have the two of you discussed child support?
27:04We discussed them.
27:05We just said that we weren't going to do it,
27:06because I feel like if we're going to do the 50-50,
27:09on the weeks that he has the kids,
27:10he's financially, physically, you know, and emotionally
27:15supposed to be there for the kids,
27:16and I feel like vice versa, you know?
27:18Is that okay with you, Josh?
27:19That's fair to me.
27:20Have you determined how you're going to work out
27:22the property division?
27:24Uh, yeah, I'm going to keep the house.
27:28And, Josh, have you chosen a place to stay yet?
27:31I'm still looking around.
27:33Okay.
27:34Sitting inside of Sarah's office,
27:36watching paperwork dismantle the life I once lived.
27:40It does suck.
27:41Well, what about, um, final decision-making authority?
27:45I mean, you know, let's say, Josh, let's say you move to a different town,
27:51and you stay where you are, and you say,
27:54well, I want the kids to go to school here in this town,
27:57and you say, well, no, I want them to go here.
27:59How are we going to work that out?
28:05I don't really thought that far in depth.
28:10Coming up on Mama June Family Crisis.
28:13I've been thinking about my birthday coming up and, you know,
28:15inviting the fam.
28:17Maybe they want to bring the drummer out here, you know?
28:19Your mother, she's going to bring it everywhere she goes.
28:22You know, all of this has been super hard,
28:24but I believe telling Ella is going to be the hardest.
28:27We have something we need to tell you.
28:35Well, what about, um, final decision-making authority?
28:39How are we going to work that out?
28:41I think that I could just leave it up to her.
28:45What that means, Lauren, is that you are required to discuss it with him,
28:50anything with him, and you're required to take his thoughts into consideration.
28:54And I know right now everything is good.
28:57Y'all are at least working together pretty well, but things do change.
29:03Right.
29:03And I've seen those changes happen in a lot of clients over 20-something years of working.
29:08But you're okay with her having the final decision?
29:12Yes, ma'am.
29:13Okay?
29:15At this point, there's no stopping the train.
29:17The divorce is basically being finalized in front of my face.
29:21So, giving Pumpkin the last say is the option up.
29:25I know she's a good mom.
29:27Here, baby.
29:29Boys have cooties.
29:30I hate cooties.
29:32I need a man to take care of me.
29:34Don't be like Gigi.
29:35Petey, baby, repeat after me.
29:37I'm a strong, independent woman.
29:39I'm a strong, independent woman.
29:43She always has been.
29:46And I know she'll always do right by the kids.
29:48So, giving her the final say-so is just like, it's not going to bother me.
29:55I hate to see this happen, but I'm so glad to see the two of y'all are at least
29:59getting along
30:00well enough to come in and do this together.
30:02This is very unusual, very unusual.
30:06And I think that's going to be really good for your children, if y'all can keep this up.
30:10Right.
30:11Next, I'll draw up the paperwork, try to get it as close to what y'all have asked for as
30:16we can.
30:17And once it's signed, it can be sent to the court.
30:20And then it's at least 30 days before the divorce can be final.
30:25Alrighty.
30:25Well, thank you.
30:26All right.
30:27Good to see you.
30:28You too.
30:28I wish it was under a little bit better circumstances.
30:30All things considered, today went really good.
30:33There was no arguing.
30:34There was no cussing at each other.
30:36There was no fighting.
30:37And I mean, Josh did give me the final say-so with the kids.
30:40So, at the end of the day, I do feel like he still respects me, at least as the kid's
30:45mother.
30:49Are you okay?
30:52Yeah.
30:54I'll be okay.
30:56All right.
30:57Well, see you later.
30:59Okay.
31:11How's the ice cream?
31:12Um, it's okay.
31:13It's a little melty because of the sun, but-
31:16100%.
31:19Is that a gase?
31:22I like it out here.
31:23It's real nice.
31:25Yeah, I love being in Colorado.
31:27100%.
31:27No drama.
31:28No family drama.
31:33I mean, I've been thinking about my little birthday coming up, and you know, it'd be like
31:36the first one without Anna.
31:38Mm-hmm.
31:39I'm gonna be 19.
31:40She'd be 30.
31:4230, 30 home.
31:42Yeah, a little dirty 30.
31:44As some of you may know, some of you may not, me and Anna shared the exact same birthday.
31:50Um, she was just obviously born years before me.
31:53This will be the first one without her, so it's definitely gonna be hard.
31:57But I know for a fact that I want to do something to remember her by,
32:01and I want to do something that, like, she would want me to do to celebrate us together.
32:05I've been looking at this place out here, and they actually do.
32:09I didn't even think it was the actual thing.
32:10What?
32:11Releasing some doves.
32:13Whoa.
32:14So, like, release one dove for Anna, and then one dove for me,
32:17and then another dove to assimilize her life.
32:22It will be different.
32:23People don't do it all the time.
32:24I think we could do it out here.
32:26It's open.
32:27Yeah, that'd probably be really nice.
32:29The water right here.
32:30But I was thinking about inviting the fam.
32:33The fam?
32:35Yeah, I feel like it could be something that we could do as a family.
32:39Your momma is drama.
32:42Can't even tell her to leave the drama with your momma, because she is the drama.
32:46A hundred percent.
32:47It's gonna be the first time that they celebrate Anna's birthday without her too,
32:51so I feel like it just might be best if we're just all together.
32:56I do feel like it'll be important to have the whole family out here.
32:59I mean, we all went through Anna's death and, like, Anna's cancer and stuff as a family.
33:03If you don't follow your dreams and I die within a year or so,
33:06I'm gonna haunt you, and you're not, if you're not in home.
33:09You're gonna haunt me.
33:10Yeah, I'm gonna haunt you for the rest of your life.
33:14It's a complete 360 from when you were here two days ago.
33:18Love you, Annie.
33:19I'm in nursing school, so you can't haunt me.
33:22She did say that.
33:24So, I feel like it would only be right to, like, tribute Anna on my birthday or our birthday as
33:30a family.
33:31Well, they got too much drama down there.
33:33Yeah, but maybe they won't bring the drama out here, you know?
33:36Your mother, she's gonna bring it everywhere.
33:39It's your birthday, Lana.
33:41You can do whatever you want.
33:43I know.
33:44It's my day.
33:46Coming up on Mama June Family Crisis.
33:49My parents split when I was 10, so I know that's a long time ago,
33:52but it was a very tough time for me to grasp.
33:55I am a little nervous about telling Ella with me and Josh going through a divorce.
33:59Why are we here by ourselves?
34:01Well, you know, if we have something we need to tell you.
34:15What you been doing?
34:17Just hanging out, babe.
34:20Hi.
34:21Hi.
34:21Hey.
34:22How are you?
34:22How are you?
34:23All right.
34:23Yes, good.
34:24Good.
34:25You know, now that the paperwork is already in the filing process, I think it's time that
34:30we do need to tell Ella and that we need to figure out how to do that without expressing
34:36our emotions onto her, too.
34:38And what better way to do that than our therapist?
34:42So, guys, what's been better since the last time I saw you guys?
34:46Right now, we're, like, being cordial with each other, being civil with each other.
34:51And how are the children adjusting, like, as far as, like, what you know?
34:56Well, you know, the three small ones, it's like, you know, they're not really
34:58at an appropriate age to have an understanding of what the color blue is.
35:02So, but for Ella, like, my parents split when I was 10, so I know that's a long time ago,
35:08but it was a very tough time for me to grasp and figure out and navigate through.
35:13And it's just like Ella's younger than I was, so I can't imagine trying to navigate through
35:19those feelings at such a young age.
35:20I don't, I can't imagine.
35:22Yeah.
35:23It hurts my heart, really, to think about it, you know?
35:24Yeah.
35:25Like, I want to take her to do something fun and just tell her, but then I also feel
35:30like, that's kind of like a distraction. But then I also feel like if I sat her down,
35:33like, we're sitting down, I also feel like there's going to be that part of her that just
35:38is like, I'm fine. I'm okay.
35:41Josh, you know, when he gets in his feelings, he does tend to shut down.
35:45I don't have the brain power right now to be thinking about your mother's .
35:50I'm just, I'm going to go take a break to myself.
35:52Because your mother would make me have a mental breakdown.
35:59So it worries me that Ella will mirror him. And honestly, I just need tools so that I can
36:04make sure that she's okay.
36:06So what came across my mind is for you both to sit down in a place where she's comfortable,
36:12like in your house or wherever, and you let her know how it's going to be moving forward.
36:18And then maybe after that, y'all do something fun.
36:21Yeah. Right.
36:21So we do the hard stuff first, check in with her, see how she's processing.
36:26Try your best not to project on her, right? Just allow her to be in that space and take it
36:33all in.
36:34Right.
36:35What do y'all think about that?
36:36I think that would be smart because like, I don't want to start off with something fun
36:40and then that'd be, you know, a big distraction.
36:42Right, and the plumber of the night is, by the way.
36:44Yeah, that's why like, I didn't know really like how to approach it.
36:47So for me, I just, I want to do it in a place where Ella feels comfortable, you know?
36:51We think of divorce like, this is horrible.
36:54Right.
36:54It doesn't have to be.
36:56And what I also gather is that you guys are doing the best you can.
37:00And I commend you for that. Absolutely. That's lovely.
37:05And I will tell you, and this is study-based, when parents are okay, the children are okay.
37:11And that could be inside of a marriage or out. And the faster that you make this normal for Ella,
37:19the better.
37:20All right.
37:21I wish you all the best.
37:22Thank you so much.
37:24Ready?
37:25Yeah.
37:27You have a good day.
37:29All right.
37:29I am glad that me and Josh can be civil enough to agree on stuff and make sure at the
37:34end of the day,
37:35the kids are just taken care of.
37:39Well, now we just need to talk to Ellie.
37:54Can I have a little smidge?
37:57A little smidge for mommy?
37:59Bubba, you want a ball?
38:00Throw it to mama.
38:01Throw it to mama.
38:02Throw it to mama.
38:09All right, Gigi, let's go.
38:12It's about time you do something.
38:14Not that I want to watch kids.
38:15You don't want to watch kids, but you want everybody to move in with us?
38:19Like, make it make sense.
38:20Yeah, Bubba, we'll be there.
38:23Maybe not all the time.
38:27Look there, Gigi.
38:29Look.
38:31What are you doing?
38:32We're coloring right now.
38:35What you got, buddy?
38:36Where's teen?
38:37With Josh, we're going to take her to go get ice cream and tell her that, you know,
38:41we're getting a divorce.
38:42Honestly, I am a little nervous about telling Ella with me and Josh going through a divorce.
38:47Like, I know that she can read the vibe and know that things aren't great between me and her daddy,
38:51but I do worry about how Ella feels, and that's just the mama inside of me.
38:58Hey, hey, hey, boys.
39:01Y'all are fixing to give Gigi a run for her money.
39:03That's how.
39:04No, I'm not giving Gigi a run for his money.
39:07Come here.
39:07What are you going to do, sit on the cow?
39:09That's right.
39:09And make him watch the young'uns?
39:10That's all she ever does.
39:11I think Gigi Justin does a better thing at watching the kids than I do,
39:15because honestly, I'm okay, like, watching the kids,
39:19but I guess it's been so long since I had little young'uns,
39:21and especially three of them, under three.
39:29There.
39:30Hey, why would you punch her?
39:33You give Stella a hug and tell her you're sorry, and I'll give you a hug.
39:39Lovely.
39:41You know what?
39:41On that note, mommy has to go bye-bye, okay?
39:44You're gonna sit here with your Gigi.
39:51Oh.
39:56Oh, that meltdown city, them boys don't like what mama leaves.
40:00Bye.
40:01Here's the ball.
40:03Golly.
40:04Look.
40:05Come here.
40:05No, you have to say come here, man.
40:07They're gonna have fun with that.
40:10I mean, I can't wait till they all move in, June.
40:12Can't you?
40:13Where are you going?
40:14You can't go upstairs.
40:16Get off the stairs.
40:17Hit me to a mama.
40:18Say cheese.
40:19Bye.
40:21Oh, my God.
40:28Can you get some ice cream there, PBB?
40:31Yep, yep.
40:34Kelly Grace first.
40:36Hey.
40:36Hi, welcome in.
40:38Can I get some cookies and cream with chocolate chips on it, please?
40:43Yes.
40:44Yeah, they get some for mom, too.
40:45What do you think she wants?
40:47Cookie Monster?
40:48Cookie Monster.
40:49Can I get two scoops of the Cookie Monster?
40:52Yes.
40:52And a scoop of the cotton candy.
40:54Okay.
40:55You know, all of this has been super hard, but I believe telling Ella is going to be the hardest,
41:01just because she does understand.
41:03Um, not ready to tell her, but, oh, is what it is.
41:12Um, do you have a black comma?
41:14No.
41:15I'm just having, like, an Ella day.
41:18Is that okay with you?
41:22It's weird, like, just me, just out for ice cream, because, um, why did the baby not come?
41:38Let me see you.
41:40Hey, Ella Grace.
41:42Hey, Daddy.
41:43Hi, Pookie.
41:48All right.
