00:00Ciao Valentina!
00:14We are used to people grumpy as Roy
00:18instead when we see someone nice as Ted
00:23it seems weird
00:24so in your opinion why being nice today is almost like a sinister thing?
00:31Because I think there's been a lot in the public arena of, you know, politics etc.
00:41the discourse has become very unpleasant
00:43and there was a period of time where everyone was very aggressive
00:48and sort of openly mean and negative and that was considered fine
00:53and so when someone comes along like Ted who is genuinely nice and decent
00:57we're so unused to seeing it, we don't trust it
01:01we're like sammings up
01:02there's a dark side here
01:04so I think part of what the show does is the same as it happens to Roy
01:09and most of the characters is a serious distrust
01:12but he's so relentless that eventually you're like
01:15I guess there isn't a dark side to this because I would have seen it by now
01:20Yeah, no, he just is that way
01:22it's so genuine that you can't help but ultimately give in and fall into his way of thinking, right?
01:27Juno, your character is a believer
01:29Ted sticks a sign with the word believe in the locker room
01:34but sometimes believing is hard
01:36so how can we do it?
01:38How can we believe every day?
01:40I think that is about the people that you surround yourself with
01:43and the people that, because I think we're all guilty of finding it difficult to believe in ourselves
01:48but if you surround yourself with people that you look at and you're like
01:51God I believe that you could do anything you wanted
01:54that you actually might have magical powers
01:56and then you stop and you think
01:58and these people want to be around me?
02:00Cool, I should believe in myself a little bit too, you know?
02:04Ted has given us the most wonderful motto for today's world
02:10because he said we must be curious and not judgmental
02:14do you believe that he's got a point
02:15we must be more curious and less judgmental?
02:19I mean, I think wiser words can be spoken
02:22and he's saying it in a modern fashion
02:25but, you know, Plato said it
02:29going further back, philosophers throughout the history of time
02:31that have just only encouraged humanity to be better versions of themselves
02:36have been saying it
02:37and the fact that we get to be a part of a show where Ted Lasso is reiterating it
02:40in hopefully a language that people will listen to today
02:43I'm honoured to be a part of that
02:45because I couldn't believe something more
02:48Yeah
02:50I agree
02:50Okay, thank you
