A threat of a bomb aboard a cargo plane leaving Trinidad, is among the bomb threats currently engaging officers of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service. However when questioned for further details, Homeland Security Minister Roger Alexander told TV6, bomb threats are a normal thing. Rynessa Cutting has more.

00:27a cargo plane which was en route to Miami from Port of Spain, when it reported a bomb threat.
00:34Caribbean 790, Miami Tower, runway 9, and put a land.
00:37Put a land runway 9, Caribbean 790.
00:39So you'll shut down, and then they're going to check out the aircraft.
00:44Stand by a second. I have all the rammed vehicles on the frequency and fire commander and equipment.

00:56They will be sniffing the aircraft the second you want, so you'll see them walking around.

01:08The incident occurred on March 6th, and the aviation communication log was uploaded to VAS Aviation's official YouTube channel.
01:17However, no report was uploaded as to the outcome.
01:20This incident is the latest in what appears to be a string of bomb threats reported over the last several
01:27days,
01:27with the TTPS being called to a report of a bomb threat last Friday on Park Street in Port of
01:34Spain,
01:34mere days after a threat against the Sandy Grandi police station prompted police to cordon off the area for several
01:42days.

01:55There's a level of intelligence involved, so we want to keep it that way.
01:58How many have been reported thus far for the year?
02:01You know, it's a normal thing. Some people just get on their phone and make threats.
02:04There was one that was existing, you know that, at Rio Claro. You remember that?
02:08In the school.
02:09The Rio Claro school bomb threat first surfaced in November via social media,
02:14when someone accused teachers of being racist.
02:18In January, Alexander stated that an arrest would be imminent.
02:22However, to date, there has been no word of an arrest in relation to that incident or the subsequent threats.
02:29We realize what is rolling out here, you know, and intelligence is helping us tremendously,
02:34both local, regional and international.
02:38Under the Anti-Terrorism Act, a person commits an offense if he communicates any information which he knows to be
02:45false,
02:46with the intention of inducing in a person anywhere in the world a belief that a noxious thing
02:52or a lethal device or weapon of mass destruction is likely to be present.
02:57A person convicted of an offense under this section is liable on conviction and indictment to imprisonment for life.
