00:46Based on our first location, I think we got a good shot at finding them the perfect spot.

01:08So, I mean, we chatted a bit on the phone, but what is the real kind of background?
01:11Like, why are we out in Yarrow? Like, what is the main thing we're looking for?
01:16Honestly, we have two little kids. We kind of want to raise them in that small town country feel that
01:22everyone's trying to get.
01:23So, we'd love to upgrade our house.
01:26Just looking at these houses in the backdrop, it kind of beats being stuck in the city.
01:29For sure.
01:30So, I'm on your side with this one for sure.
01:35I moved out west here when I was 21, made some friends in the area.
01:40His best friend was friends with me and told him that he should come meet me.
01:45So, he came into the restaurant I worked at and came and introduced himself.
01:49We hit it off immediately. Married within a year and a half of meeting.

01:54Had a child.
01:56Less than a year after that.

01:57So, things move fast for us.
01:59This will be ten years married this year.

02:04We have a golden retriever puppy.

02:11The reason we want to move to Yarrow and surrounding areas is most of my work is out here.

02:27Overall, I think we're just wanting to sort of upgrade what we currently have in most areas.

03:04Yarrow is found just an hour east of Vancouver, British Columbia nestled in the Fraser Valley.
03:09this cozy town is surrounded by farmland rivers and incredible mountain views giving it that
03:16really peaceful country feel yarrow is becoming increasingly popular with families because of its
03:22village-like lifestyle while being so close to nature and the big city
03:33we've got three different properties lined up today everywhere I look it looks like everyone's
03:38just got so much space surrounded by the house yeah you have two young kids so much room to play
03:43that's one thing we want to you never know yeah coming up to the house was awesome I liked the
03:49long driveway of course I right away noticed the coach house walking up it just felt so expansive
03:54I liked how the little bushes were lining the whole driveway walking up the big tall doors just felt

04:22impressions I love it don't hold anything back um no I do it's a little plain maybe like I'm kind

04:40some paint that's a good start my first thought was maybe it was kind of a bit plain and lacking

04:51have eyes on the kids I could definitely see us in here as a family let's go explore a little

06:48that there's not too much in here but I feel like there's room to do landscaping I prefer it more

08:14is really filled in I love all the little details on this house with the lights it's got that hallmark

09:43when you have older kids yeah and they're wanting to be away from you they're still too young for that

12:15today I'm in Yarrow British Columbia helping Danny and Sheldon find the perfect country home
12:21we've seen two options so far both which had the space and style that could work for our young couple
12:27and their family but I'm really interested to see their reactions to the size of this third option
12:34we have successfully made it to house number three I'm not even gonna say anything what are
12:39your first impressions I'm immediately impressed like I'm so excited to see the inside of this house

13:50don't necessarily mind that it didn't feel choppy or closed in no it just felt like you had a lot

15:32like the creek as well yeah that kind of splits the property in half it's definitely what we're looking

16:53and they've just called me to say they've made a decision with me wanting to take in as much of
17:00this country feel as possible I found the cutest little spot to meet up and hear their decision at
17:06the bouquet farm of course I got there a little earlier to have a look around and chat with Adrienne
17:11about her amazing business Adrienne pleasure to meet you thank you for having me we're at the bouquet farm
17:17here now how long have you had the bouquet farm here uh the bouquet farm has been here for almost
17:22four years we're in yarrow yes have you always did you grow up in yarrow or what drew you here
17:28no
17:28actually we moved to yarrow about nine years ago and what drew us is the family life the kind of
17:35small
17:36country setting property the river everywhere we go everyone's so friendly it's got that small town
17:44vibe that I think everyone is looking for what draws people to the bouquet farm well definitely our
17:50flowers i would hope so yeah good start our flowers we grow a lot we have a lot of events
17:55and workshops
17:56and just kind of little things that people can come to and create and design and we always love
18:01people to pop in and walk around the garden which is fun we host little weddings here perfect backdrop
18:06for it yeah it's so awesome why are people moving to yarrow it is kind of the last little town
18:13in the lower mainland it feels like it yeah it doesn't feel like a big city it's just that very
18:20small town kind of feel i would never move from yarrow i don't blame you we're not too far from
18:26vancouver so i'm wondering if people come out for the day or if it's just a little hidden secret out
18:30here like what do people do on a daily basis so definitely going for walks down by the river beautiful
18:35trails swimming in the river and like little coffee shops and just walking around the neighborhood just the
18:41small town vibe i like it hey man well long time no see last time i saw you we were
18:58on the house
18:59hunts yes we were so obviously there's a lot to think about there was yeah yeah with the three of
19:06them they all had mostly pros a few maybe cons in there but why don't we do a quick recap

19:12one by one sure so house one probably the most modern i like that it was pretty new it still
19:19had
19:19the farmhouse characteristics i wanted in a house but would have literally needed zero renos tall
19:25ceilings were nice yeah it was open backyard was so doable to maintain it kind of ticked all the boxes
19:32yeah it wasn't extravagant maybe we were looking for something with a little more character yeah throw
19:38splash color in there i mean that's that's that's an easy problem to have which is good on to house
19:44number two we love the curb appeal then we got in size a little smaller than we thought it was

19:49for sure like you said it had good curb appeal it was really cute from the outside i liked the
19:53fact
19:53that it had a shop good size property it was like you said a little bit tighter on the inside
19:59and maybe
20:00showing a little more of its age which is i mean expected it wasn't my favorite layout primary bedroom
20:06took up a lot of space on the main living area great point it takes away from all that family
20:11space on the main floor absolutely yeah so it felt small house number three a little bigger property
20:17sorry i showed you that one last yeah because i think that one really yeah i could see your eyes
20:22light up as you walked inside stunning yeah there wasn't really anything wrong with that place
20:25except it was top of budget and too big too much property i would like to think i could take
20:32that on
20:32but i am trying to yeah keep my head on my shoulders for sure we'd have to put the puppy
20:36to the to the plow
20:37and yeah teach him how to ride the john g you'll be good to go so if we had to
20:43eliminate one of the
20:44three which one would we just remove make the decision a little easier easily for me the second one just
20:50because it would need reno's in my opinion neither of us were sold right when we got inside the second

21:03first one that was number one yeah fantastic i know it was early in the day but when i walked
