00:00it's been interesting like chris rose who you again heard on baskin and phelps earlier today he
00:03liked uh what the browns did in free agency i'm i'm not surprised that people outside of cleveland
00:09don't because right now nationally the browns could do 10 things right and people are going
00:16to talk about the one thing they've done wrong they're just perceptionally we're still coming
00:20off the deshaun deal uh people nationally don't like the browns because they fired their boo
00:24and kevin stefanski so i do think that the analysis of the browns continues to be a little jaded at
00:30least we finally got a positive from seth walter hey we got that he liked the jenkins move look at
00:35that which jenkins one okay the other one we got to clarify these days and again for everybody out
00:39there in the cleveland media it is elton jenkins did that continue on oh my god yesterday everyone
00:48got the peterlin pass for me yesterday yeah we didn't know it yesterday because the peterlin
00:52it's okay if you don't if you didn't watch elton jenkins coming out of mississippi state i think
00:56that's an okay thing too many people who i really like today continued on did eggleton
01:02action it is a weird name like no it's a weird name with a soft g in it yeah i
01:07would not soft g
01:08silent g moving moving in silence like the g in lasagna so people say about me as i'm a silent
01:13g
01:13uh yeah at this point you should have it right i would say that's fair all right but being in
01:18the
01:18camp of somebody that bungled it initially i just gotta give the old peterlin pass here for a little
01:22bit hate to do it in pass so getting a peterlin and pass and a half because you know what
01:27i hate
01:27you know what i hate i hate the people that are trying to spread as if elton and uh tevin
01:32are
01:32brothers that's the thing i hate oh that's just people on twitter trolling why is that such a thing
01:37because they i hate this they're getting people to fall for it this is why i have trust issues in
01:42life is because then i have to sit there and i have to go through and research and try to
01:45find a
01:45like i had to pull up a family tree i need to i need to do a 23 and me
01:49anytime the browns get some
01:50sort of signing to verify whether they are or aren't related it's ridiculous i don't know that's
01:55why you have trust issues that might go a little deeper a little earlier in life i'm just gonna
01:59say it's helping i'll say that much i think it's definitely helping well but you're the person that
02:02they're then trolling so you're no it's because i on the surface i'm like that sounds ridiculous
02:07but then i'm also like well that's a cool nugget if it's true and so then i spend three minutes
02:12having to look up and find if there's any correlation in any of this at all and then i've wasted
02:16three
02:16minutes to all be like you i just gotta block you and move on you dumb twitter person yeah they
02:21got
02:21you they didn't get me because i didn't believe it to begin with yeah spent three minutes talking
02:25about thinking about it you probably spent more time thinking about it than just the three minutes
02:29it would be really sweet if it was true so it's in like the search of like it would be
02:33awesome if
02:33it was true all right tell me that wouldn't be cool listen in 2026 if you want something to be
02:38true
02:39don't research it and just hold it to be true but i can't do that i care i care too
02:43much about
02:44being right to do that i care too much about being factually correct so i don't tell people
02:48on the radio anything wrong i don't know why it matters to me but it matters to me just be
02:52just
02:52be amongst the throngs of people vomiting nonsense into the ether and just enjoy it ignorance is bliss
02:58jonathan self-awareness real pain in the ass real pain in the ass now uh i thought it's been interesting
03:03that even the brown's free agency approach has been kind of mixed here locally too and i get it like
03:10if we just go by pff grades uh yeah yeah i get it they're not all uh 75 players this
03:18is what you
03:18get in free agency yeah that's right and we knew we knew they'd have to pay for this type of
03:22stuff so
03:22like i look at this and go as of right now of the four spots that i think are are
03:27capped uh are
03:28locked down which are left guard center right guard and right tackle no matter who starts of the guys
03:34you've signed and who's a left guard who's a right guard and who's your center whatever i think if the
03:39weakest spot i have is tevin jenkins i think you're okay or or if it's uh howard and right tackle
03:46if
03:47that's the worst offensive lineman that i'm going to start this year but we still got to see what
03:50happens at left tackle and i think what's interesting is like i do think the brown should
03:53have kept more of the guys from last year uh obviously if joel plays i would have rather
03:58joel batonio than zion johnson if wyatt teller plays this year i would have rather wyatt teller than
04:03tevin jenkins as well that said the the they got some durable guys and the number one thing here is
04:10like the only way you were going to land a blue chipper in free agency was tyler linderbaum everybody
04:16else it's going to be all right can can the sum of the parts you know can they can they
04:22match up to
04:23something better that starts with durability and so i think you have a chance here and so now it
04:29becomes all right if you've got a solid offensive line which i think is what they have the makings
04:34of right now and you can build on that in the draft if you can get a solid offensive line
04:38then it
04:39becomes how do you deploy them and this is where having the right offensive line coach which you
04:43haven't had in a couple years uh and hopefully george warhop is that guy having having a good
04:49offensive line coach could be the thing that takes us from solid to better than solid we are we're
04:53putting a lot on warhop and there's uh i think where some of the people it's funny you know
04:57interestingly enough when we first started talking about zion for instance it was the idea of like
05:02well wait why why did hardball give up on him they're top 10 in uh in cash spending capabilities
05:08and they're just letting him go and it's like well all right now it becomes on warhop to go ahead
05:11and
05:12try to fix him up and get him to where he needs to be even someone like howard uh with
05:15the texans it's
05:16like this now falls on warhop in a way to get him to a spot where all these guys have
05:20really high high
05:21ceilings that's the cool thing about these guys but a lot of them they just got to get back to
05:25what
05:25they were at one point previously yeah i would say with the zion johnson thing i think the detail
05:30that matters is that they didn't draft him and that really does matter like unless you are a blue
05:36chip amongst blue chip guy that we we've had several offensive linemen that were good offensive
05:41linemen get get lost in the wash sean laval was one uh in the changeover of tom heckert and uh
05:48oh my
05:49gosh ray farmer i'm trying to think of the other guy was oh mitchell schwartz was kind of a guy
05:53even
05:53though mitchell was thought to be more of a blue chipper that was a guy that was kind of lost
05:57in
05:57it as well andrew barry still paid joel batonio an extension for a reason he didn't draft him like
06:01that's a blue chipper though sometimes if you're good enough like it just it just it makes sense
06:05and like and clearly zion wasn't he didn't hit that threshold and that's that's part of the story
06:10and they also got to play both those tackles in the next three years they really don't they don't
06:14have anything on the either guard spot is still open and they had a lot of cash to spend it's
06:18very
06:18strange yeah yeah we're pat strange one of the strangest congratulations uh but no i think it's
06:23interesting like i really like the start to free agency i don't give a rip who they overpaid i don't
06:28and i don't know why any browns fan would that's a concern for the kansas city chiefs it's a concern
06:33for baltimore by the way who doesn't like to move money around for the cleveland browns oh they
06:3820 million guaranteed for elton jenkins is a lot if he starts for the next two years and he is
06:43a
06:44good starter at league average starter or better you've won in free agency if with each of those
06:49offensive line a lot of possibilities for money well spent uh will all these guys work out to
06:53their highest abilities obviously not uh but if you just get a couple of these guys and you just
06:58make it look serviceable is the difference last year wasn't serviceable in any way you got to give
07:03jutkins give shador whoever the quarterback is give some of these players a real chance and so
07:08serviceable is really important you had some good line play last year uh you're actually the
07:14thing that frustrated me about the wyatt teller stuff is betonio posik and teller had started
07:19to play some good football in the middle of the season and that was at least giving you a little
07:23bit of a chance you just had no chance because of the tackles but again a lot of that was
07:27rooted in
07:27guys coming off injuries or guys being older and maybe having to sit more and having a new offensive
07:33line uh coach going back so like i i think i think the key thing here is durability and then
07:39when it
07:40comes to the long term side of this that's where you have to go ahead and draft and and from
07:44this
07:45draft long term you need at least two if not three starting offensive linemen to come and take
07:51over for the guys they just signed over the next year or two i think the hard part about that
07:54is i
07:54don't need i don't know that andrew barry even trust andrew barry to draft offensive linemen at
07:57this point well no he just he just doesn't draft them what was it four four guys i think his
08:02plan is yeah i mean none of them is none of them worked out i mean four guys in six
08:06drafts is
08:07insane like that is laughably low it's a low number you should be drafting definitely definitely
08:12offensive linemen a year and he hasn't even attempted it i i do wonder though if that's
08:16kind of where his and i think his thought process with wide receivers have changed in recent years
08:20too where instead of drafting because he did he took a third round wide receiver every year for three
08:24years but they didn't they just stopped hitting and i i wonder if when it comes to offensive linemen
08:28and wide receiver if he just thinks he's better at acquiring than he is drafting 216-474-0092
08:34i kind of like what the browns didn't free agency and i don't know if that's uh if that's
08:38sacrosanct to say because the browns still are not a great organization
08:41you
