01:02The teams emerge on a massive night for both clubs here in the Kingdom of Fife.
01:08On form, Dunfermline, having already disclosed of Hibernian, are bidding to reach Hampton and the Scottish Cup semi-finals for
01:16the first time since 2009.
01:19Aberdeen hoping the competition will once again be their salvation.
01:24Can they rescue their season and successfully defend the Cup once so memorably last May?
01:30That was an eighth success in the tournament for the Dons in their 123-year history.
01:37Neil Lennon has won eight on his own, four as a Celtic player, four as manager.
01:44Dunfermline make five changes from the midweek win over Ross County.
01:48Chilicoa Mullen restored at the back.
01:50Gilbert and Fraser in midfield.
01:53Andy Todd and Chris Kane up front.
01:56Callum Morrison will be a miss.
01:58He is out, suspended.
02:00Five changes for Aberdeen 2 from the narrow loss to Celtic.
02:04Robben starts it right back and McIntyre in central defence.
02:08Captain Graeme Shinney returns, as do Milanovic and Keskinen on the wings.
02:16And as the referee sounds his whistle, Alphonse Ahmad gets things up and running for the home sides.
02:24Ahmad very quickly involved in the centre circle there too, as Graeme Shinney sees his first involvement of the match.
02:31And Armstrong knocks it wide to Mitchell Frame.
02:34Tried to take up with Keskinen in there, but it's Dunfermline on the counter as Todd battles through a couple
02:40of challenges.
02:41And it will be an early free kick for Dunfermline, which they take very quickly through Charlie Gilmore.
02:49The opportunity on the right-hand side there, and that is closed down by Frame, but it's a buoyant start
02:56by the home sides.
02:58And somehow they almost got that into the box.
03:03Back with Gilmore now.
03:05He exchanges passes with Ahmad.
03:08Out wide to Thomas.
03:11Now the low shot coming in.
03:13What an effort that was from Andrew Todd and Dimitar Mito.
03:16Had to act very smartly, Lee Miller.
03:18Andrew Todd getting a swivel in there and getting his shot away on goal,
03:22but yeah, it's been a fast start to the game so far, and long may it continue.
03:32The chance for Frame to come galloping over the halfway line.
03:37He's got support outside him.
03:39Keskinen.
03:43Goes to the byline, it's another decent cross just over the head of Stuart Armstrong,
03:48who was waiting in the middle.
03:49Great play by Kreskner again, and Armstrong, I think it was at the back post,
03:53and he just goes to Erlaine just because over his head there,
03:56but again, good threatening play by Aberdeen.
04:01Nguenya with the throw-in.
04:06It's Armstrong who picks up.
04:08Little flick from Nisbet.
04:09Now Keskinen, edge of the box.
04:11Can he find Kavanen?
04:12He's passed it to Armstrong.
04:14It's a great save initially,
04:16and then a really important clearance.
04:19That was good play by the Visters.
04:21Yeah, it's great build-up play again.
04:23Nisbet involved around the corner.
04:24Armstrong gets his shot away, does the right thing,
04:27tries to get through the legs of the keeper.
04:28Oxford makes a really good save.
04:36And the Fernland, nice one too as Kane lays it off.
04:40Mitchell frame gets back.
04:41Two try to close down the space there,
04:44it's a good cross in,
04:45and somehow that's been completely missed in the middle.
04:51Mitov having to come from that one,
04:53but that was remarkable.
04:55Looked like a clear opening.
04:57Thomas has to throw himself,
04:59it's as if he's tried to get out of the way of the ball.
05:02It's a fantastic ball in from Todd.
05:10And it's the Fernland in possession through Fraser.
05:15That was nice.
05:16Picked up by Charlie Gilmore,
05:17who's a classy performer in the midfield.
05:21Kane lays it off for Fraser.
05:23Now on the left foot,
05:24thought about the cross.
05:25Now he does deliver.
05:27Todd is waiting.
05:28Headed down, shot!
05:29What a strike!
05:31What a strike that is!
05:33And it's Maddie Todd who has lashed it into the roof of the net.
05:39And Fernland take the lead against their Premiership opponents.
05:47It had been a nice open start to the game.
05:50Remember, there is no VAR this evening.
05:54As that ball fell,
05:56Maddie Todd could not have hit it any sweeter.
05:59What a strike.
06:00I tell you what, Richard,
06:01he has got a lot to do in that moment.
06:04To control it on his thigh,
06:06get the connection on the half ball,
06:07it's a fantastic finish,
06:09but first and foremost,
06:10you have to stop the cross.
06:12Cameron has to get out of that quicker.
06:14Stop the cross coming in easy.
06:16It's a floaty cross.
06:16Could the keeper come for it?
06:18Possibly.
06:19But taking nothing away from Todd.
06:22What a fantastic finish and a great start to the game.
06:26Now Lyle Cameron and Armstrong exchanging passes.
06:31Lobin to swing the ball in,
06:33heading away there,
06:34chance for Schinney!
06:36But that was straight down the middle of the box,
06:39and Oxborough was alert enough
06:42to ensure that he had just about held onto it.
06:58Fraser, what a pass that is for Thomas,
07:01through the middle,
07:02has to score!
07:03And he does!
07:06It deflected back off,
07:08meet up, I think.
07:09And the Infernland front man
07:11simply followed it through.
07:13The ball rolled into the empty net.
07:16What a cut tie this is turning out to be.
07:19What a story this could well be.
07:22Very fortunate
07:23with his finish, Richard,
07:24but the way the Aberdeen defence
07:26just split wide open.
07:29Two centre-halves.
07:31And do you know,
07:31Thomas does really well with his run,
07:33he actually runs in there,
07:34but I think
07:34potentially the left-back frame
07:37maybe plays him on.
07:39But there's no taking away from it.
07:41Don Flemmer have been well up for this tie.
07:51wide now to Matty Todd,
07:54to Andrew Todd.
07:56Now for Matty Todd,
07:58who tries to get the cross in,
07:59there's a good cover there
08:01by frame.
08:10the Infernland corner.
08:15From their right,
08:17it looks like an inviting ball!
08:19And my goodness,
08:20what an opportunity
08:21that was for
08:23Jeremiah Chilicoa-Mullen.
08:25He got the space in the box,
08:28got ahead of his marker,
08:30but he just couldn't
08:31keep the header down.
08:35This bit with a lay-off,
08:36not enough on it,
08:38and it's Thomas
08:38who snaps it up
08:40for Don Flemland.
08:41Kane with a pass,
08:42Thomas with a chance
08:43to run at Jack Milne.
08:45He's got little support,
08:46he may have to go in
08:47on his own,
08:48and Milne
08:49gets a foot out
08:50to block the shot.
08:52Don Flemland again,
08:53a great breakaway,
08:54Aberdeen just can't love it
08:55on the break.
08:56They're one and two touch,
08:57they can't get close to them,
08:58they're moving it well,
08:59they know who each other
09:00wants to be.
09:12Armstrong,
09:13now that's a good ball.
09:14Chance for Keskenen
09:16to attack Maddie Todd.
09:17Keskenen into the area,
09:19shot deflected,
09:20and it's down
09:20and bounced up
09:22over the crossbar,
09:23but for the first time
09:24Aberdeen looked
09:25to have a bit of penetration.
09:26Yeah, a great ball
09:28from Armstrong,
09:28they get around the ball
09:29and numbers them firmly,
09:30they're really working
09:31hard for each other.
09:37It's Graeme Shinney
09:38to take this one,
09:40he goes short
09:40to Cameron,
09:41back now to Shinney,
09:42challenge comes in,
09:44and it will be a goal kick.
09:47Graeme Shinney
09:49absolutely furious.
09:50I don't think
09:51Graeme Shinney
09:52agreed with that decision.
09:56Maybe get a case,
09:57possibly.
09:58It's a terrible corner
09:58to start with, though.
10:00Is there an opening
10:01for Aberdeen,
10:02or will Dunfermline
10:02continue to do
10:03what they have done?
10:04Well, it looks like it.
10:05Ahmad finds Thomas.
10:08Two Aberdeen players
10:08looking to close him down,
10:09Shinney's there,
10:11Milanovic is there,
10:12but it's Thomas
10:12who gets to the byline,
10:13back for Ahmad,
10:14first shot blocked
10:15by McIntyre.
10:18Aberdeen escape,
10:20and Milanovic
10:21looking to counter,
10:23but he loses the ball,
10:25he's adjudged
10:25to have been fouled
10:26by the referee.
10:29Another great move
10:30and another counter attack
10:31from Dunfermline,
10:32really tied in the build-up play.
10:44Armstrong,
10:45wide now.
10:46Is there an opening
10:48here for Nisbet?
10:49He's slowed it up again.
10:51Infield.
10:52Armstrong,
10:53one, two,
10:53Nisbet goes down!
10:55The challenge was made.
10:56Charlie Gilmore
10:58says he is
11:01innocent.
11:02Was this a trip?
11:04Could this have been
11:04a penalty?
11:05No, it's a good tackle,
11:07really good tackle.
11:08You can see
11:09in the direction
11:09the ball goes in.
11:10Does he clip him slightly?
11:12Good play again
11:13from Aberdeen, though.
11:15Now Keskenen.
11:16It's the low ball,
11:18it's easily cleared
11:19by Charlie Gilmore.
11:21Kane tries to get
11:22in front of Milne.
11:24Dunfermline do rescue
11:25the ball,
11:25here's an opportunity
11:26as Kane plays it
11:28for Thomas.
11:30He goes into the box,
11:31low shot!
11:32What a goal!
11:34What a finish!
11:35It's a second of the night
11:37for Ole Thomas.
11:38That could well
11:40settle this cup tie.
11:42The holders
11:43look to be
11:44on the verge
11:45of crashing out.
11:47Dunfermline are
11:48history makers
11:49and heading
11:50for the semi-finals.
11:52Long way to go
11:53for Aberdeen now.
11:55Look, this is not
11:56up there
11:57with Darfell.
11:58It's perhaps not up there
11:59with Queen of the South
12:00in the semi-finals.
12:01And there have been
12:02other cup humiliations
12:04that Aberdeen
12:04have suffered.
12:05This is against
12:06a very good
12:07championship side one
12:09which hopes to be
12:10in the playoffs
12:11at the end of the season.
12:13But this
12:13is turning into
12:15a right
12:16despite
12:17an improved
12:18second half
12:19showing
12:19Aberdeen
12:20are not clinical.
12:21than
12:22Fernland
12:22absolutely
12:23are.
12:26Edge of the box
12:27Armstrong
12:28can't get it down,
12:30can't find space.
12:31Hounded by Gilmore.
12:34Now the 1-2
12:35with Molloy
12:36and it's Armstrong
12:37again.
12:38Goes to the
12:39byline,
12:39good challenge,
12:40no it's not.
12:41Armstrong gets it in
12:42but it just
12:43bobbles
12:44into the hands
12:45of us
12:45in Oxborough.
13:07Gilmore
13:08bursts away
13:09from Shinny,
13:10he's got auctions
13:11ahead of him,
13:11still he goes
13:12Charlie Gilmore!
13:14just wide!
13:16Must have been
13:17a fingertip
13:19saver thing
13:19by Dimitar Mito
13:21but that was
13:22real intent
13:23by the classy
13:25midfielder
13:26and it was
13:26a good save.
13:32Oh!
13:33Right across
13:34the face of goal
13:36from Chris Kane
13:36the glancing
13:37header from the corner
13:38but no takers
13:40at the far post.
13:42yeah clever run
13:44nice little flick
13:45no de gambles
13:45at the back post.
13:48Can Aberdeen
13:50find someone
13:50is there a hero
13:51out there
13:52an unlikely hero
13:54given where we are
13:55or is this
13:56going to be the night
13:57that Dunfermline
14:00not only
14:01celebrates
14:02but will go down
14:04in the annals
14:04of history
14:05it's a
14:05very good run
14:07by Thomas
14:07gets to the byline
14:08cuts it back
14:09bounces off
14:10two Aberdeen players
14:11but there were
14:13real panic stations
14:14there
14:15as once again
14:16Dunfermline
14:17countered with threat
14:19poor ball by
14:20Hamilton
14:21Nguenja
14:22just about
14:23kept it under control
14:25now
14:26Fraser
14:27into the box
14:28here's the chance
14:29the Fairmline
14:30what an opportunity
14:31it was for Todd
14:32he scored the opener
14:34he just took a little bit
14:35too long that time
14:37and Manny Todd
14:38was close down
14:39Richard Aberdeen
14:40are all over the place
14:41understand the throw
14:42on a couple of strikers
14:43a couple of forward players
14:44change the shape
14:46but they are
14:47all over the place
14:48just now
14:52chairman Dave Cormac
14:54has a huge decision
14:55to make
14:55of course
14:56still waiting
14:57to appoint
14:58Aberdeen's
14:59next
15:00permanent manager
15:05Milne
15:06wait to Molloy
15:09and he finds
15:11something for Aberdeen
15:12but they can't find
15:12Lazatic
15:13Keskinen does pick up
15:15now Lazatic
15:16digs out the cross
15:18Nisboe with the opportunity
15:19good defending
15:20and Olesanya
15:22goes in late
15:23on Chris Hamilton
15:27Aberdeen
15:28they work it well
15:29down the side
15:30and get the ball
15:31out of the box
15:32but
15:32the Fairmline
15:33are defending
15:34for the lice
15:35they do not want
15:36to concede a goal
15:37more and more
15:38of those Aberdeen fans
15:39have had enough
15:40they've seen enough
15:42and let's be honest
15:43not just tonight
15:44but for months
15:52Andre Todd
15:53takes it for a
15:55waltz down the left
15:56touchline
15:57knocks it off
15:58Dylan Loban
15:58celebrates with the fans
16:01encourages them
16:02to make plenty noise
16:06an amazing night
16:07for all these
16:09Dunfermline players
16:10for the manager
16:10for the fans
16:13and it is
16:14ticking ever closer
16:15to that full-time
16:17whistle
16:17into the final
16:17five minutes
16:18is there still
16:19something special
16:20to come
16:21the goalkeeper
16:22makes it one save
16:23then another
16:24with his food
16:24from Oakley Booth
16:26and Aberdeen
16:27having to
16:29defend
16:29desperately
16:30to try to
16:31keep it out
16:32after a real
16:33piece of inventive
16:34play by Andrew Todd
16:36I don't even know
16:36what Andrew Todd did
16:37there
16:37he's done a wee bit
16:38of magic
16:38down the corner
16:39and he's quite right
16:41in taking the shot
16:42on
16:42rebound comes out
16:43and they're unlucky
16:44with the follow-up
16:44but they're just
16:46enjoying themselves
16:46out there Richard
16:47they really are
16:58Mel
17:03Benedictus
17:04can't hold on to it
17:05and Solosan
17:05into the box
17:06and he's
17:07sliced that
17:08well wide
17:09that is
17:10just about
17:11the only
17:12opening
17:12the only sight
17:13of goal
17:14that he has had
17:15for the
17:17time he's
17:17been on the pitch
17:26a remarkable
17:28victory
17:29for Dunfermline
17:30the referee's
17:31whistle blows
17:32Neil Lennon
17:33immediately
17:34goes across
17:35to
17:35commiserate
17:36with the
17:37Aberdeen
17:37coaching staff
17:39for an
17:40eight-time
17:41Scottish cut
17:42winner
17:42four as a
17:43player
17:43four as a
17:44manager
17:45Neil Lennon
17:46has led
17:47Dunfermline
17:48back to
17:49the semi-finals
17:50of this competition
17:51for the first time
17:52since 2009
17:53Oli Thomas
17:55got the second
17:56and third goals
17:57to leave
17:59Jack Milne
17:59and his
18:00Aberdeen
18:01teammates
18:01absolutely
18:02heartbroken
18:03and Dunfermline
18:06are heading
18:06back to
18:07Hamden
18:08Aberdeen
18:09have relinquished
18:11their grip
18:11on the trophy
18:13and they
18:14thoroughly
18:15deserve
18:15to be heading
18:16back to
18:17Hamden
18:17and the
18:18semi-finals
18:22I thought we
18:23were magnificent
18:24against a really
18:25motivated Aberdeen
18:26team
18:27who started the
18:27game pretty well
18:28and we had to rely
18:29on Aston to make
18:30a really good save
18:31early on
18:31but after that
18:32I thought we were
18:33the best team
18:34by far
18:36they showed their
18:36quality
18:37but they showed
18:37their work rate
18:38they showed their
18:39commitment
18:39I couldn't have
18:40asked any more
18:41Brian
18:41that's one of my
18:41best achievements
18:42in football
18:43doing this
18:43with Dunfermline
18:44with where we are
18:44at the minute
18:45so I just said
18:46to the players
18:47drink it in
18:48you're going to
18:49the big show
18:49now and you've
18:51really put the
18:51club on the map
18:52which is what
18:52we've all been
18:53looking to do
18:54they're young
18:55they're learning
18:55they're playing
18:56like men tonight
18:57and I'm lost
18:59my words really
19:00on that
19:00I think obviously
19:01we needed to get
19:02the supporters
19:03involved with
19:03our attacking
19:04play and I think
19:05we managed to do
19:06that quite early
19:06doors
19:07got them right
19:08on our side
19:09got them into
19:09the game
19:09and then obviously
19:10managed to get
19:11the goal quite
19:11early doors
19:12and then it just
19:13settles everybody
19:13down
19:14I thought we were
19:15magnificent
19:16I thought Oli Thomas
19:17up front
19:17he'd done his job
19:18he worked hard
19:18for the team
19:19the back three
19:20were superb
19:20and big auction
19:22goal made a
19:22massive save
19:23early doors as well
19:24so you know
19:25it's a team game
19:26and that's what
19:26we've done tonight
19:27it's a massive result
19:28for everybody involved
19:29with the club
19:29and we're just
19:30delighted to be
19:31through to the next round
19:31Started okay
19:32had a chance
19:33for Drew Armstrong
19:34they scored
19:35and then we just
19:36capitulated
19:39embarrassing
19:40they wanted it more
19:41first and second
19:42balls
19:43our quality
19:44and possession
19:45was really
19:47really poor
19:48and I apologise
19:49to the fans
19:50because it's
19:51nowhere near
19:52acceptable
19:52I had a chat
19:53with them there
19:54I can't defend
19:55them anymore
19:56they've got to
19:56take responsibility
19:58and we're in trouble
19:59so a dismal night
20:01for the Dons
20:02delight for Dunfermline
20:03Athletic
20:04Lee Miller's joined us
20:05from the commentary box
20:06Lee
20:06before we get to the
20:07Malays at Aberdeen
20:08right now
20:09just how good
20:10were Dunfermline
20:11yeah I think a lot
20:12of credit has to go
20:13to Dunfermline
20:14I thought they
20:15started well
20:16they finished the game
20:17strong
20:17I think they dominated
20:19all over the pitch
20:20and they were the team
20:20that were really
20:21they were the team
20:22that really wanted
20:23to win the game
20:24and looked hungry
20:25for it
20:26in the end
20:26so much personality
20:27in that Dunfermline
20:28Athletic squad
20:29Matty Todd
20:30got Andy Todd
20:31as well
20:32but it was Matty Todd
20:32who would get the goal
20:33obviously
20:33and Oli Thomas
20:35his first Dunfermline
20:36goals
20:36just a night to remember
20:37all round
20:38yeah I thought
20:39you could go through
20:39the full team
20:40I thought Robbie Fraser
20:41was first class
20:42I thought he was a real
20:43standout tonight
20:43but the forward players
20:45getting their goals
20:46I thought Thomas
20:47was excellent
20:47he was fortunate
20:48it was his first goal
20:49his second goal
20:49was clinical
20:50real clinical finish
20:51and I thought they were
20:52a constant threat
20:53on the break
20:53all evening
20:54yeah
20:54and now
20:55because of the way
20:57that this draw
20:57has completely opened up
20:58obviously
20:59Rangers and Celtic
21:00playing each other
21:01tomorrow
21:03there's no reason
21:03why Dunfermline Athletic
21:05can't actually dream
21:06of lifting the Scottish Cup
21:07for what would only be
21:08the third time
21:09in their history
21:09yeah why not
21:10you play games
21:12to win games
21:12to win cups
21:13and I think
21:13Neil Lenn will be
21:15saying that in there
21:16and one of the old
21:17firm has to go
21:17and Falkert will be
21:18the same as well
21:19they'll think
21:19they can get their hand
21:20on the trophy as well
21:21so it's great to see
21:22from the lower leagues
21:23from the championship
21:24I think they've done
21:25a real good season
21:25this season
21:26Dunfermline
21:27but they were a real joy
21:28to watch tonight
21:28I really enjoyed the game
21:29and I thought their
21:31attacking play
21:32was first class
21:32but they had to defend
21:33at times
21:34and they defended in units
21:35and they worked hard
21:36for each other
21:36Peter Levin
21:37absolutely scathing
21:39about his Aberdeen players
21:40tonight
21:40and rightly so
21:42just how bad
21:42were Aberdeen
21:43yeah apart from
21:45a flurry
21:46maybe first five minutes
21:47of the first half
21:48ten minutes
21:49of the second half
21:50they were camped
21:50in Dunfermline's box
21:51but Dunfermline
21:52defended really well
21:53apart from that
21:54they were toothless
21:56for me
21:56I just thought
21:57they were really laboured
21:58in their build up
21:59and they had no real enthusiasm
22:01in slowing their build up
22:02whereas if you flip that
22:04Dunfermline
22:04with their polar opposite
22:05they were on the front foot
22:08attacking it
22:09at will
22:10if anything
22:10it could have been
22:11more than three
22:11to be honest
22:12is that the Aberdeen
22:14season over
22:15or
22:16do they have to fight
22:17a battle against relegation
22:19yeah I think
22:20the second one
22:21I think they're going to
22:22if they're not careful
22:23they're going to get sucked
22:24into that relegation
22:25and you don't want
22:25to be looking down
22:26if Aberdeen
22:27a club the size Aberdeen
22:28should be looking up
22:29the way
22:29but it's been a disappointing
22:30season this season
22:32but hopefully
22:33they can try and drag
22:33themselves out of it
22:35with a few good performances
22:36but it needs to be
22:38better levels than that
22:38tonight
22:39it really does
22:39do you think
22:39what Peter Levin said
22:40will provoke a reaction
22:41from the Aberdeen players
22:43I don't know
22:44I feel for Peter Levin
22:45he's been put in a position
22:46he's tried his best
22:47with them
22:48and they don't look
22:49as if they're responding
22:50to be honest
22:51that's just what I'm seeing
22:52from the outside
22:53but a real disappointing
22:55performance tonight
22:56but hopefully
22:56he can lift himself up
22:57and get something
22:58towards the end of the season
22:59Levin for the moment
23:00thank you very much
23:00indeed
23:01the Scottish Cup
23:01quarterfinal weekend
23:02began last night
23:04of course
23:04Falkirk up against
23:05Dundee United
23:06commentary comes
23:07from James McFadden
23:08and Liam McLeod
23:10the hosts
23:11thrashed
23:12Colmarnock here
23:13last weekend
23:14as they got back
23:15to winning ways
23:15after a couple
23:16of narrow defeats
23:17including that one
23:18against United
23:19they've got past
23:20Hearts and Stennis Muir
23:22to get here
23:22and John McGlynn
23:23sends out the 11
23:24that produced that
23:25demolition job
23:26six days ago
23:27both Tate and Stewart
23:28scored doubles
23:29Liam Henderson
23:30was controversially
23:31sent off
23:32when these two
23:33met here last month
23:34Cole Donaldson
23:35is a former United
23:36player and was relegated
23:37with them in 2016
23:41United racked up
23:42an important victory
23:43over St Mirren
23:44on Tuesday night
23:45catching Falkirk
23:46in sixth
23:47looks unlikely now
23:48but it has surely
23:48ended all thoughts
23:49of being dragged
23:51into the fight
23:51to avoid 11th
23:52Fata and Iovu
23:54are suspended
23:55for them
24:00this is Philip Lysa
24:01who's been excellent
24:02recently
24:02one of the real
24:04standout performers
24:06broad heel
24:08Spencer
24:09and the header
24:11is in
24:13Barney Sear
24:18right in front
24:20of the United
24:20supporters
24:22and this dream
24:23season
24:24for him personally
24:25could lead to
24:27a dream season
24:29for Falkirk
24:30Football Club
24:32nice composed finish
24:34and I like it
24:35because he's not
24:36desperate to get in
24:37the middle
24:38he's peeling off
24:38in his space
24:39to allow him
24:40potentially
24:40for the cross
24:41to the back post
24:42or the short back
24:43across the goalkeeper
24:46to McCann
24:52Miller to Tate
24:59Spencer back out
25:00to McCann
25:01it's a wicked
25:01ball
25:02and it's 2-0
25:05and Finn
25:06Yates
25:08has proved Falkirk
25:10in a wonderful
25:11position
25:12to get to the
25:13semis
25:142-0 up
25:1520 play
25:16wow
25:17what a cross
25:19this is for
25:19Leon McCann
25:20I mean we sing
25:21these praises
25:22defensively
25:23against the strong
25:24Lucas Stevenson
25:25but this cross
25:26coming in
25:26is outstanding
25:34Tate
25:34he's got it
25:35through
25:35Calvin Miller
25:36oh and that's
25:37just gone
25:38passed off
25:38his own man
25:39Stevenson
25:40Maynard Pruyar
25:42is mightily relieved
25:43that that touch
25:44has gone for a corner
25:45rather than a third
25:46Falkirk goal
25:47yeah but
25:47if he doesn't
25:48if he doesn't
25:49get back
25:49Stevenson
25:50Calvin Miller's
25:51no doubt
25:51putting his side
25:52further ahead
25:53it's a great recovery
25:53in his desperation
25:56and it's again
25:57finding that
25:58spare man
25:58for Falkirk
26:01getting dragged
26:02all over the place
26:03by Falkirk
26:08Ferry's cross
26:09away by Donaldson
26:15get a chance
26:16to get back
26:16onto this
26:17Will Ferry
26:18opportunity
26:19here
26:19and a goal
26:22Eskysen
26:24in first half
26:25stop it's time
26:27and Dundee
26:28United
26:29are right
26:30back
26:30in it
26:31good back
26:32Will Ferry
26:34it's no surprise
26:35getting into a great
26:36area
26:36little comeback
26:37gets the head up
26:38is that Scott Bain
26:40to see from here
26:41whether
26:42the feeling should be
26:43keeping out of the
26:43back of the net
26:44probably
26:51with waters though
26:52Sapsford
26:53with a brilliant run
26:54in the middle
26:54he's on to it
26:56and Bain
26:57keeps him out
27:00huge chance
27:01for an equaliser
27:02and it's a huge
27:04save
27:06there's a brilliant
27:07break
27:07waters and
27:08Sapsford
27:09linking up
27:10something they
27:10didn't do very well
27:11in the first half
27:12you always look at
27:13the striker
27:13and say
27:13you expect him
27:14to score
27:15but full credit
27:15to Scott Bain
27:16keeps his side
27:17in the lead
27:18making up for that
27:19goal that he
27:20conceded in the
27:24first half
27:25Johnny Russell
27:26back after
27:2713 years away
27:29he's on to it
27:30here
27:30immediately involved
27:32that's clever
27:33and that
27:34has stayed out
27:39and quite how
27:40we don't know yet
27:42in the loop
27:43for all the money
27:44that Zach Sapsford
27:45had squared
27:45the Scottish Cup tie
27:48Falkirk
27:49still lead
27:50and James
27:51to my right
27:52is stunned
27:52I can't believe
27:54he's missed it
27:55outstanding
27:56from Johnny Russell
27:57what an impact
28:08here come Falkirk
28:09looking to finish it
28:11it's kept out
28:12initially
28:13and off the course
28:14from Miller
28:18he's have the right
28:19to go for gold
28:20it's difficult
28:20resistance
28:21from that position
28:21it is absolutely
28:22and Miller
28:23at full stretch
28:24just can't
28:25she does just
28:26enough to put
28:27him off
28:34Falkirk
28:35are Scottish
28:36Cup semi-finalists
28:38John McGlenn
28:40having a dream
28:41season
28:42and they return
28:43to the big time
28:44for the first time
28:45in 15-16 years
28:46Barney Stewart
28:48and Finn Yates
28:49goals in the opening
28:5020 minutes
28:51have proved decisive
28:53Dundee United
28:55are out
28:56Falkirk
28:56are through
28:57it finishes here
28:59Falkirk
29:002
29:00Dundee
29:02United
29:021
29:05on fire
29:07at times
29:07in the first half
29:09and
29:10he actually pops up
29:10with the second goal
29:11great header
29:12great ball
29:12from Lyon
29:14and
29:15United get this
29:16out of life
29:16right before half time
29:17and from our point of view
29:18it's poor game management
29:19to lose a goal
29:20right then
29:21and they took
29:22that initiative
29:23to be honest
29:23they put us under
29:24a lot of pressure
29:24second half
29:25and they'll be feeling
29:26a little bit aggrieved
29:27as a ball hit the post
29:28and you're looking
29:28at maybe go in
29:29the inside of the post
29:29and go in
29:30and it's come back
29:31into Scott Bane's
29:32arms
29:32so we're absolutely
29:33delighted with that
29:34boys put in so much work
29:35and we're just delighted
29:36to be going to Hampden
29:37gave ourselves a mountain
29:38to climb
29:39I thought the reaction
29:40after that was good
29:41I thought first half
29:42Falkirk were by far
29:43the better team
29:44I thought we were
29:45lucky to go in at half time
29:47only a goal behind
29:49and in the second half
29:50I thought we were
29:50really really good
29:51I thought we had
29:53large spells
29:53in the second half
29:54where we were
29:55well on top
29:57Scott Bane
29:58makes a brilliant save
29:59from Sapsford
30:00in the 1v1
30:02really unlucky
30:03then with the one
30:04off the post
30:04I think it was
30:05Sapsford again
30:06you know
30:06it comes back
30:07and runs along the line
30:08into Scott Bane's hands
30:09and yeah
30:10at that point
30:11you start to get the feeling
30:12it's not going to be your night
30:13I can't wait to play at Hampden
30:14obviously
30:14played their last season
30:16but there's nothing like
30:16a semi-final there
30:18hopefully
30:18hopefully a lot of seats sold
30:20so I can't wait
30:20how was that tonight for you?
30:23great
30:23it was a tough game
30:24I think Dundee United
30:25obviously have a game plan
30:26we had one to like
30:27counteract that
30:28but
30:28they were
30:29they was really good
30:30so
30:30it was a really good result
30:31for us
30:32just to hang in there
30:32so Falkirk
30:33make it through
30:34it's been quite incredible
30:35this season
30:36from John McGlynn's side
30:37Lee
30:39are Falkirk
30:39second favourites
30:40for the Scottish Cup
30:41given that
30:42obviously
30:42Rangers
30:43or Celtic
30:44one of them's going to go out
30:45yeah
30:46I don't see why not
30:47they'll be quietly confident
30:48I think
30:48they're in it to win it
30:49if anything
30:50they've had a fantastic season
30:51so far
30:52and
30:52they'll be looking to put their hands
30:53on that trophy
30:54definitely
30:54yeah
30:55I mean
30:56utterly deserved winners
30:57in the end
30:58against Dundee United
30:59yeah
31:00they were
31:00they were made work for it
31:01I thought
31:02when they went 2-0 up
31:03thoroughly deserved
31:04Dundee United
31:05got a late equaliser
31:06end of the first half
31:07and they make it interesting
31:08second half
31:09and Falkirk were made to work
31:10for their victory
31:12but I think they were
31:13thoroughly deserved
31:13of their victory
31:14where's this leave Dundee United
31:15for you
31:16similar situation
31:18in terms of
31:19how it feels
31:20for Aberdeen right now
31:21nothing much
31:22to play for
31:24probably
31:24too far ahead
31:25to be worrying about
31:26any kind of relegation
31:27but
31:27next weekend
31:28against Dundee
31:29if Dundee
31:30win that
31:31they could
31:32leapfrog United
31:33in the table
31:33yeah
31:34if anything
31:35there's your incentive
31:36right there
31:36Dundee have had a good season
31:37this season
31:38Dundee United
31:39not so much
31:40and
31:41they just need to play
31:42for pride
31:43at the end of the day
31:43they need to look
31:44towards next season
31:46Jim needs to get them
31:47lifted
31:47the spirits lifted
31:48try and play better football
31:50going forward
31:50and try and get some results
31:52towards the end of the season
31:53and Barney Stewart
31:54he was
31:56delighted
31:56obviously
31:57that Falkirk went through
31:58but he
31:58obviously spent the first part
31:59of the season
32:00at the Berlin Athletic
32:01and he's
32:02he's buzzing about
32:03the possibility
32:04of both the clubs
32:05facing each other
32:05it was a breath of fresh air
32:07last night
32:08listening to his interview
32:09I thought he was
32:10really good
32:10excellent player
32:11first class player
32:12he was raw
32:13when I first seen him
32:14last season
32:15but he's really come on
32:16leaps and bounds
32:17and he's
32:17he's finding himself
32:18in the right place
32:19at the right time
32:19and that's what all
32:20good strikers do
32:21and he's getting
32:22he's reaping his rewards
32:23for that
32:23thanks Lee
32:24there was one match
32:25in the premiership
32:26today
32:27Motherwell could go
32:28one point behind
32:29third place Rangers
32:30if they could beat
32:32Dundee at Dens Park
32:33commentary comes
32:34from Rob McLean
32:36our motherwell
32:37serious title contenders
32:39well if they can win
32:40this game in hand
32:41at Dens Park
32:42Jens Bertolasco's team
32:43would move to within
32:44a point of third
32:45placed Rangers
32:46and only seven
32:47behind leaders hearts
32:49Dundee need points
32:50to stay clear
32:51of any conversation
32:52about the relegation
32:54playoff position
32:56for the third week
32:57running
32:57Steven Presley
32:58needs only to say
32:59same again
33:00for his team selection
33:01so this the 11
33:02who came back
33:03in the 95th minute
33:04against Hibbs
33:05to salvage a point
33:07Motherwell also
33:08unchanged
33:09after last weekend's
33:102-0 home win
33:11against Dundee United
33:12which featured
33:13their 21st
33:14clean sheet
33:15of the season
33:15and Tawanda Maswanese
33:1721st goal
33:18of the campaign
33:26Lucas Faddinger
33:29Tawanda Maswanese
33:30with his first opportunity
33:32onto the left foot
33:33and John McCracken
33:35makes the save
33:37well he's not hanging
33:38about the premiership's
33:40top goalscorer
33:41as he looks to add
33:42to his already
33:43impressive tally
33:45good stop
33:50Ibrahim Saeed
33:53linking with Stephen O'Donnell
33:54down that right side
33:56it's a great ball
33:57across the face of goal
33:58Maswanese keeps it alive
34:00what a save that is
34:02from McCracken
34:03from Faddinger
34:04who tries again
34:05and he's tugged that wide
34:09what a chance
34:10for Motherwell
34:11to go in front
34:13a deflection on this shot
34:16which makes it
34:16an outstanding save
34:18from McCracken
34:26lovely flick round the corner
34:27from Tony Yogan
34:29to Amari Samuels
34:31his cross ball in
34:34and it will be
34:35kept alive
34:36by Dre Wright
34:37that came off the head
34:39of Longelo
34:41and it's Tony Yogan
34:44who scores
34:45not just his first goal
34:47for Dundee
34:48but his first ever
34:49senior strike
34:51and Motherwell
34:52have conceded
34:53a league goal
34:54for the first time
34:55in nearly
34:56six and a half hours
34:59the deflection
35:00off the head
35:02of Longelo
35:02played a part
35:03Stephen O'Donnell
35:05was wondering
35:05where Yogan was
35:07and he nips in front
35:09of the Motherwell
35:10right back
35:11to force the ball in
35:14and it's 1-0 Dundee
35:22not too familiar
35:23Motherwell
35:23with coming back
35:25from a goal behind
35:27in league games
35:30Dundee looking good
35:31and it's Cam Congreve
35:34who stands it up
35:35to the back post
35:36and it was Yogan
35:37again
35:40Callum Ward
35:41came for the cross
35:42and didn't get there
35:43any serious contact
35:45from Yogan
35:46and that was surely
35:47his second goal
35:48of the season
35:52don't panic
35:53says Jens Bertolasco
35:58this team don't
35:59tend to panic
36:00too much
36:01that's a mistake
36:02by Luke Graham
36:02which sets up
36:04Eli Just
36:06in for Maswan Issei
36:08on the turn
36:10it's another left foot shot
36:12from Maswan Issei
36:14a much more comfortable save
36:17this time
36:18for John McCracken
36:23Motherwell in search of a leveller
36:29well those notes will be pretty positive
36:32in Steven Presley's book
36:37looking to kick on
36:39from a goal in front
36:42but under pressure
36:43it's given away
36:44and it's just
36:47that's when Issei
36:48no way through
36:49and over the top
36:50it goes from
36:51Elliot Watt
36:54disappointed
36:55that he couldn't
36:56keep this effort down
37:00no save required
37:01this time
37:03that Yogan goal
37:05was only the
37:0619th league goal
37:07that Motherwell
37:08will have conceded
37:09this season
37:10it's an incredible
37:11start
37:14Ward on the ball
37:15took too long
37:16Ash Hay
37:16right on top
37:17of him
37:18and now it's
37:19Conegreave
37:20for Ashley Hay
37:22but it's not
37:23going to count
37:24up goes
37:25the offside flag
37:27against the
37:28substitute
37:28he's barely
37:29been on the pitch
37:32and he was hoping
37:33that he'd
37:34made it
37:342-0
37:39Masuanise
37:42surrounded by
37:43dark blue shirts
37:47Slattery
37:49Priestman
37:52it's just
37:53that's a great
37:54ball in
37:55for Regan
37:55Charles Cook
37:57a similar
37:59cross ball
37:59to the one
38:01from which
38:01Dundee
38:02scored
38:03but the Motherwell
38:04substitute
38:05couldn't
38:06make anything
38:07of this
38:08straight at
38:09McCracken
38:12Camcon
38:13Grieve
38:13loves to
38:15cut inside
38:15what a hit
38:18that crossbar
38:19is still
38:20reverberating
38:21what a strike
38:23from the man
38:24who scored
38:25brilliantly
38:26last weekend
38:27in stoppage
38:28time
38:28to salvage
38:30a point
38:30against
38:31Hibbs

38:36this was
38:36going in
38:37when he

42:31another
42:32big day
42:33coming up
42:33tomorrow
42:34it is

42:43and then the
42:44final Scottish Cup
42:46quarterfinal of the

42:48St Mirren
42:49versus
42:49Partick Thistle
42:50at a quarter past
42:51seven on BBC
42:52Scotland
42:52followed by
42:53the semi-final
42:54draw
42:56of course Lee
42:57you plucked the
42:58balls that
42:58decided these
42:59quarterfinal ties
43:01how are they going to
43:01go tomorrow
43:02what's your
43:02predictions
43:03it's such a
43:04difficult one to
43:05call the
43:05old firm game
43:08my guts tell me
43:09Rangers but
43:10Celtic finished so
43:11strong in the last
43:12old firm game
43:12so it's so difficult
43:14I think it will go to
43:15penalties
43:15extra time penalties
43:16and who knows
43:17who will win out of that
43:17so you're sitting on
43:18the fence
43:18yes I am
43:20and as with the
43:21evening match
43:22St Mirren have been
43:22toiling in the top
43:23flight
43:23Partick Thistle
43:24obviously trying to
43:25get promotion for the
43:26championship
43:27how do you see that
43:27one going
43:28that'll be an
43:28interesting contest
43:29it really is
43:30because I think
43:30St Mirren have not
43:32been great as of
43:33late
43:34and Partick Thistle
43:34obviously doing really
43:36well in the championship
43:36it'll be a tough one
43:37to call but I think
43:39having home advantage
43:40I think St Mirren
43:41will do it
43:41but you're not doing
43:42the semi-final draw
43:42no I'm not
43:43no I'm not
43:44but I wish I was
43:45because I'd probably
43:45pull out Falkirk
43:46and Fairman
43:47all the fans want it
43:49brilliant stuff
43:49Lee Miller
43:50thank you very much
43:50indeed
