00:00On today's show, did he start using before you got pregnant?
00:04Yeah, just before I got pregnant, yeah.
00:06What sort of drugs are we talking about?
00:07Heroin and crack cocaine.
00:10You let him have the child for the weekend.
00:12The child comes back in the buggy.
00:14She finds a needle cap for the injection of drugs.
00:19Do you take drugs in front of your son?
00:20No, I can't watch.
00:21Is that cap yours?
00:23No.
00:23Are you off the drugs?
00:24Yes.
00:25This is more about anything on earth with a new bloke, isn't it, than your kid?
00:28Let me tell you so you can have a go at me.
00:31See my son?
00:32Yeah.
00:33When are you from my son of me?
00:34Then, get your backside and prove you're off.
00:36Then, step on your backside and prove you're off drugs.
00:39Have you ever taken heroin in the presence of Leo?
00:42You said no.
00:43Why did you say no?
00:44The truth.
00:45I've announced her so many times for the NA test.
00:47Then she goes, no, you're in Game 1.
00:48No, you didn't want to know.
00:50I have got to you several times with that child.
00:55Let's get away with Laska then, shall we?
00:57How many times I've asked you for a DNA test and you refuse me?
01:00No, you've never asked me.
01:04APPLAUSE
01:21Thank you, my friends.
01:22Good morning as ever a big, big welcome to our show.
01:24Now, my first guest today, Hazel, says she couldn't believe it when she found the cap from a needle in
01:29her baby's buggy after he'd been to stay with dad, Jimmy.
01:32Hazel says that Jimmy has had drug problems in the past and now she's terrified that he's using when he's
01:37looking after their young son.
01:39She's banned him from seeing the kid and is here today to ask him to do a lie detector to
01:43prove he's not used drugs in the presence of their child.
01:46Let's be honest, any mother would agree with this one.
01:48Hazel is first on the car show.
01:50That way.
01:52APPLAUSE
01:57I mean, I start this by saying what I just said then.
02:00Any mother would do this, wouldn't she?
02:01Yeah.
02:02Jimmy and you were together how long?
02:04About three years on and off.
02:07You have a child with Jimmy.
02:09You've moved on, you're now in a new relationship.
02:12The relationship with Jimmy, before we talk about the kid, what was it like?
02:16Really platonic.
02:17It was a lot of aggression, arguments down to drugs and dispute over me not being able to prove that
02:22he was using drugs at the time.
02:24Did you know when you got with him that he was on drugs?
02:26No, when I first got with Jimmy he wasn't on drugs.
02:29I'd been told that when he was a child, or when he was a lot younger, he had used drugs
02:33consistently, but he'd stopped.
02:35And when I met him, he had a bit of weight to him.
02:36He looked healthy, quite happy in personality.
02:39And then after about six months, it just went down a drain.
02:42There was sweatiness, there was miserableness.
02:45He was sat there and he was always like this.
02:47And it was just disgusting, you know?
02:49Did you confront him?
02:50Confronted him loads of times, but I'm a very evidential kind of girl.
02:53I believe in having proof to say something, because then I can stand there till I'm blue in the face.
02:56Was he, did he start using before you got pregnant?
03:00Yeah, just before I got pregnant, yeah.
03:02And so there you are, pregnant, hoping that the man that you love can do something about it.
03:05What sort of drugs are we talking about?
03:06Heroin and crack cocaine.
03:10Did you ever find any evidence of it?
03:12I did, yeah.
03:13After my son was born, I found a heroin needle under my bedside table when I was cleaning the floor,
03:20because I didn't have a hoover at the time, I was dustpan and brushing the floor.
03:23And I seen this needle.
03:25He denied all knowledge at first that it was his, as he's always done.
03:28He's always denying everything I come to him with.
03:32Said it wasn't his, it must have been someone else here, someone else put it there.
03:34And then finally, after a while, he did admit that it was his, and that he'd never do it again,
03:40and he'd stop doing drugs.
03:41And me being naive, believed it, and believed that he was going to stop doing it.
03:46And he went to groups, BDP appointments.
03:49He went through ARA programme, Salvation Army programmes, trying to get off of it.
03:55And I believed that he was doing it, but I was wrong.
03:57Then you discover in the cot something one day.
04:01In the cot?
04:02The pram, was it?
04:03In the pram, yeah, in the pram I discovered this cap.
04:08So he was looking, because they'd split up by that time, and the kid is, is, is...
04:12You're allowing Jimmy to see the child, because in your mind,
04:14you believed that he'd been to these groups, he'd made changes, he'd promised you.
04:17And he was living with his mum as well.
04:19You didn't want to be with him, he was with his mum,
04:21and you let him have the child for the weekend.
04:23The child comes back in the buggy,
04:25and she finds a needle cap for the injection of drugs.
04:29What happens next?
04:31I messaged him on my phone to say, I tried to catch 20 to it, I said,
04:37what have you left on the top of my buggy?
04:39And he replied, are you having a joke?
04:42What do you mean, what have I left on the buggy?
04:43I said, well, take a guess, and then I'll show you a picture of what I found on my buggy.
04:47He said, oh, I don't know, just tell me.
04:49So I took a photo of this, put it onto the phone, sent it to him.
04:54He tried to ring me.
04:55I was not in the mood to be talking to him on the phone.
04:57I'd probably said things I couldn't take back, and I'm not like that.
04:59I like to stand by what I say.
05:02So I just messaged him back.
05:03I said, I want to speak to you in a minute.
05:05Try telling me the truth about why this is on my buggy.
05:07I'm like, who's is it?
05:08I know it's yours.
05:09Do you know what I mean?
05:09Are you going to admit this to me, and we can maybe move forward from this situation,
05:13do something about it, and try and get Leo his dad?
05:16Denied all knowledge of it.
05:17Said, it's not mine.
05:17Nothing to do with me.
05:18Someone's setting me up, trying to say that my current partner's setting him up.
05:22That's Mark, right?
05:22Yeah, which is impossible, because Mark was with me the whole time.
05:25He's supporting me all the time at that moment in time.
05:28Since that moment, where are we at?
05:30We're here, obviously, to do a lie detector test.
05:32He says he's going to prove that he...
05:35I mean, this is quite interesting.
05:36He doesn't do drugs around the kid.
05:38He, yes, maybe still smokes some cannabis, but at the end of the day,
05:42he's made giant strides.
05:43He's living at his mum's.
05:44That was a one-off, and you are naturally quite disbelieving.
05:47Yeah, I disbelieve it, because it is an example for you, Jeremy.
05:51My son, since he's come back this week, has been saying to me,
05:54he's two years old, and as far as I'm aware,
05:57two-year-olds don't actually have sweat glands yet.
05:58They're still developing.
06:00Well, he's walking around my house saying,
06:01phoo, mummy, are you sweating?
06:04Are you sweating?
06:05And he's not sweating, and he's not wet, and he's not hot.
06:09So that's obviously a character.
06:11It's frightening, isn't it?
06:11What a child sees, a child does, you know?
06:13Very, very frightening.
06:15Stuff's gone missing from your home as well.
06:16Yeah, I've had the kid's PSP was stolen and sold to a drug dealer for money.
06:20I found out from someone else who rang me up,
06:22knew that it was my child's equipment, said to me,
06:25your son's stuff's here.
06:26He couldn't deny it because the person stood there with me
06:29and said to him, look, I know you put it there.
06:31Don't lie.
06:32But your bank card under your pillow, what's that all about?
06:34My bank card under a pillow, shoved inside a teddy bear
06:37so he couldn't steal it.
06:38I woke up some nights and I could hear him cursing me,
06:40cursing me, trying to find my bank card
06:43to take 20 or more out to do his drugs, you know?
06:47Happy to be away from him?
06:48Yeah.
06:49The thing I always say about the lie detector,
06:51anything like drugs tests or whatever,
06:52you know, people come out and they go,
06:53I'm going to do this, I'm going to do that, if you fail this.
06:56No woman in the world, whatever he's going to say to you,
06:59is going to accept a man on heroin or crack cocaine
07:02seeing a two-year-old baby, right?
07:04If he has failed and he's done those drugs around your child,
07:08are you adamant on that?
07:10No, I'm adamant, yeah, I'm adamant.
07:11If he's done drugs around Leo and left that there
07:14because he's done drugs with Leo and is so out of it
07:16that he's been put there because of Leo,
07:18then he's not seeing Leo unless he ever sorts his life out,
07:20which I don't think he will, it's too late in life.
07:22He says, I'm a changed man, I will prove that I love my son,
07:26I will pass this lie detector.
07:27He loves his son, I'm not denying that, he loves his son.
07:30But how can you be a good dad when you're doing things like that?
07:33If you love drugs more.
07:34Jimmy's on the Jeremy Kyle Show.
07:44It's a big joke to you.
07:46No, it's...
07:48You were heavily pregnant with Leo when I got back on drugs, yeah.
07:50How did that get there then?
07:51I don't know, it's like, I checked his buggy three times even before
07:54and you're all about to sweat for me.
07:55Why would you check his buggy?
07:56Hang on, hang on, it's my turn to talk now, yeah?
07:58Every time I take that boy out, I don't take his pram out, yeah?
08:00The reason why he says I'm sweating, yeah, is because he's on my shoulders,
08:03for sometimes an hour and a half at a time.
08:05If I'm going to a tank, yeah, he's on my shoulders, yeah?
08:07Am I a heroin addict?
08:08And he wipes my head.
08:09Am I a heroin addict?
08:10Hang on, hang on.
08:11And he wipes my head, yeah?
08:12And you didn't tell Jeremy, yeah?
08:14Why did I get back on drugs, Hazel?
08:15Tell him why I got back on drugs.
08:17What, are you going to use the death of your friends as an excuse?
08:20Because there's not an excuse, Jimmy.
08:21So I didn't, so I didn't, so I didn't, so I didn't,
08:22It's your own mentality and your own head that causes you to do drugs.
08:26So I didn't start taking heroin, yeah?
08:27Again, yeah?
08:28Until after you passed away.
08:31No, you was already doubling with it before, I mean?
08:33No, I wasn't, no, I wasn't, because I was going dang thingies every day,
08:36dang benster.
08:37And you was with me every day, Hazel.
08:38Jimmy, don't come on a stage and try and deny everything we knows between us anyway,
08:43So I went with you every day then, no?
08:46You were with me every day because you was in a relationship with me.
08:48Did you leave that needle cap in the buggy?
08:50No, I did not, James.
08:51See, I don't, see when I got Leo, I don't use his buggy.
08:54He goes on my shoulders because he's two and a half and he can walk.
08:57I was such a bad father, why the hell would Hazel let me have our son for ten days at
09:01a time?
09:01If I, if she had real concerns about him.
09:03You don't even, hang on, hang on.
09:04You had Leo once for ten days, Jimmy.
09:06Hang on, sorry, sorry, sorry, that happened for a week before that.
09:08I give you equal opportunity as Ryan and John.
09:11Do you ring up and check on him?
09:11I give you equal, should I need to?
09:14You're that worried, yeah?
09:15Hang on, mate, you're that worried that I'm such, this bad dad.
09:17No, I wasn't worried that you were doing drugs with him.
09:19Until this week.
09:21I found this, when did I find this?
09:22Hazel, but it's like I said to him, I do not, oh, do you know what?
09:24When did I find this?
09:25I do not take, yeah.
09:26When did I find this?
09:28After I had him.
09:29I'm not denying that.
09:29Listen, I'm not denying that.
09:30Funny that.
09:31Oh, my dear.
09:31But listen, you're not listening, yeah?
09:33I do not take his buggy with me.
09:35Every time I bring him to your house, what's he on?
09:37Do you take drugs in front of your son?
09:38No, I do not, Jeremy.
09:39You told my team I have never used drugs in front of Leo ever.
09:43I wouldn't dream about it.
09:44I have had problems, but I'm a changed man, yeah?
09:47Jeremy.
09:47Yes or no?
09:48Yes, right.
09:49So if that's the case, how come you took him to a drug dealer's door before?
09:52Oh, is it?
09:53You go on about the past.
09:54I don't know nothing about my past, because it's my past.
09:56But it's still something...
09:57I'm injecting that badly.
09:57Hey, look.
09:58I've got loads of needle marks, haven't I?
10:00Does every addict inject in their arms, do they?
10:02I'll get me for one.
10:04Many of your friends have told me...
10:05Can we not get on that, because some of us have only got one?
10:09Listen, I'll get him growing out and everything in front of everybody.
10:11What?
10:12You check my legs.
10:13You check everything.
10:14I think it's one pin mark.
10:15You can smoke it.
10:15See what I'm...
10:17If I'm smoking it, if I'm smoking it, if I'm smoking it, see what I mean?
10:19If this is not your lid, then obviously someone you're socially with is using it.
10:22Well, hang on a minute, I was smoking it just a minute ago, so how can I be smoking it?
10:25Well, I don't know if you're saying that you can show your body with no pinholes in whatever.
10:28Listen, you're looking at me body right now, Hazel.
10:30No, I'm looking at your face, Jimmy.
10:31Listen, when it comes to Leo, am I your good dad?
10:33You can be when you're off the drugs.
10:34No, no, no, not can be.
10:35Am I your good dad when it comes to Leo?
10:36You can be when you're off the drugs.
10:38Listen, hang on, hang on, hang on, I'll tell you people, yeah, I will walk, yeah, in
10:42the thing I would bring, yeah, from...
10:44Any dad would.
10:45Right?
10:46No, not any dad would at all.
10:47Any dad would.
10:48Any distance for a parent.
10:49Can I change the subject and ask you a question?
10:51Hang on.
10:51Hang on, yeah?
10:52No, I won't ask you a question.
10:53Hang on, Jeremy.
10:53It's a show.
10:54I don't care.
10:5550 minutes.
10:5650 minutes.
10:57I walk to go and get my son.
11:00There and back.
11:00Let me explain something to you, right?
11:02I think it's a little bit more serious than that.
11:03If your wife, girlfriend, the woman that you love is seven months pregnant with your kid
11:07and your chance of salvation, why the hell did you get back on drugs?
11:09You're going to tell me your friend died, yeah?
11:11Can I ask you a question?
11:13Some people would say a baby coming into the world is worth more than that.
11:16And what happens when somebody else dies?
11:17You're going to go back on it again?
11:19Jeremy.
11:20True?
11:20No, no.
11:21Come on.
11:22Think about it.
11:22What was, yeah?
11:24It wasn't just a case for that.
11:25All the friends I've lost years before that.
11:27What, on drugs?
11:28Yeah, when I was in addiction, I lost quite a few friends along the way.
11:30I did not mourn not one of them.
11:32Because I was in addiction, it went right over my head, to be honest with you.
11:36And when I was clean and that happened, it wasn't like I was mourning one person.
11:42It was like I was mourning like ten people.
11:44But you're now back on her room.
11:45You did it because of that, but now you've stopped.
11:46That is not your cap.
11:47No.
11:48What do you want from today?
11:50She says, I'm wanting to do a lie detector because I want to know that my kid is safe.
11:53There isn't a mother in the world watching this that won't think that's fair.
11:57I rang the show.
11:57She didn't ring the show.
11:58I rang the show.
11:59You rang the show.
12:00I rang the show.
12:00And this is, I only took Leo back four days ago.
12:03Yeah, this happened the next day that he'd been in a...
12:07How did he get there then?
12:08I don't know.
12:08Did she plant it?
12:09No.
12:09Are you hanging out with other druggies that were putting it there?
12:11If you didn't put it there, how would you know I didn't plant it?
12:14Because I know you put it there.
12:16So you know what?
12:18Ezra, when I bring Leo back, yeah?
12:20It's a big...
12:21Hang on.
12:21Hang on.
12:21Hang on.
12:22Hang on.
12:22Hang on.
12:23Hang on.
12:23Hang on.
12:24Hang on.
12:25Where is he?
12:26Is he in his buggy or is he on my shoulders?
12:27Actually, he was in his buggy this week.
12:30Why was he?
12:30Is that cap yours?
12:32No.
12:32Are you off the drugs?
12:33Yes.
12:34You're going to clear that.
12:35After the break, we're going to meet Mark, your new partner.
12:37Hang on.
12:38Hang on.
12:38Why is Mark coming on here?
12:39Do you not get on with Mark?
12:40No.
12:40Does he take drugs?
12:41No.
12:42He's on the show next.
12:43I'm right back.
12:44Hey, Jimmy's done one.
12:45Where's he gone?
12:46What's that all about?
12:48He's coming now, mate.
12:50Are you scared of him?
12:51No.
12:51Not at all.
12:58Are you having problems with your ex?
13:00Are they interfering with your relationship?

13:33Welcome back.
13:33As we went to a break, Jimmy's done one.
13:35Where's he gone?
13:36What's that all about?
13:38Jimmy, where you gone?
13:40Another excuse to run away.
13:41Obviously doesn't like the idea.
13:43I'd have thought that he would have been out here arguing for his son
13:45and proving he's not on drugs.
13:47Not throwing a hissy fit because your new bloke's on the show
13:49and he is on the show.
13:50He's called Mark and he's coming that way.
13:52Give him a round of applause.
14:00Mark, welcome to the show.
14:01The fact that you're coming out has caused a right reaction.
14:03You say I'm sick of biting my tongue where Jimmy's involved.
14:05He's always trying to cause trouble.
14:06What do you mean?
14:07Just every time he brings Leo back, there's either a kick-off
14:10and makes excuses up to kick-off at me.
14:12Hazel.
14:14He's coming now, mate.
14:15Are you scared of him?
14:16No, not at all.
14:19What have you seen?
14:20Have you seen drugs?
14:21I know that he uses drugs.
14:22Is he a good dad?
14:24He can be.
14:25Why did she do that?
14:26What was that all about?
14:27He's showing you little ****, right?
14:29Let me tell you something.
14:30Every time I come back, there's a kick-off.
14:32So why don't you change your life around?
14:34Yeah, he might have problems.
14:36You're not supposed to bring up anyone else.
14:37I don't think so.
14:38He's fixed his life up.
14:39He's got nothing to do with you.
14:40Grow up and fix your life up.
14:42It's nothing to do with you, Jimmy.
14:42It's nothing to do with you.
14:43Just do something for a minute, didn't it?
14:45There was a time when you did cause a few problems, lad.
14:47Yeah.
14:47But then, when we had a little conversation, Hazel had...
14:50But what did you expect?
14:50Listen, you cheated on me with her.
14:52Yeah, I don't deny that.
14:53But you finished because of you.
14:55I don't deny that.
14:55No, he didn't cheat. I did.
14:55And I openly told you that.
14:57He didn't find that out.
14:58There was a time.
14:58I sat and then...
14:58Can I just make a point, unless I'm missing...
15:01Can I say something?
15:02Yeah.
15:02Do you know what comes through?
15:03You know when you throw a strop and you go off like that?
15:06Can I finish?
15:07This is more about Hazel on her with a new bloke, isn't it, than your kid?
15:12I swear to God.
15:13Are you jealous of the bad there together?
15:14Let me tell you something like.
15:16See, my son, I don't do anything from my son.
15:21Then, give me a backside and prove you're off.
15:23No, no, I'll do anything from your backside and prove you're off.
15:28I don't do anything from my son.
15:30Then, prove you're off drugs and prove you're a better man than one that runs off because a new boyfriend
15:34comes out.
15:35Why is he not on my stage and on my son when he can't do it?
15:38Because he's there, isn't he?
15:40Do you know all the times that we had all them arguments and the way you used to treat me,
15:44yeah?
15:45See, every time that Leo hits me because of everything he's seen, the arguments between us, platonically both of us,
15:50yeah?
15:50I'm not disputing that, yeah?
15:51Can I make a point?
15:52He has to deal with that with me.
15:52Can I flip this round a minute?
15:54Bit rich, though, Marky, innit?
15:56To be fair.
15:57Had sex with her behind his back, right?
16:00Move in.
16:01Super dad.
16:02I can't talk about it, but you've had problems of your own.
16:04Shouldn't you actually be a bit more understanding about this bloke?
16:07He is.
16:08No, I'm asking him.
16:09I could be a bit more understanding if he didn't cause some of the problems for Hazel, Jeremy, to be
16:14honest.
16:14What sort of problems does he cause?
16:16Maybe...
16:16Come on, what kind of problems do I cause, mate?
16:17Caused all sorts of problems, Jimmy.
16:18You've stole from there.
16:20You've...
16:20Listen, but it's nothing to do with this.
16:21That was years ago.
16:23That was years ago.
16:24Yeah?
16:25Hazel, was that years ago?
16:26Well, thank you.
16:27Why did you sleep with him behind Jimmy's back?
16:29She didn't even know you then.
16:31Because...
16:31Because...
16:32Tell you what, Jeremy?
16:33No, because, yeah, we was having bad times, yeah?
16:35And he was whispering in her ear.
16:36Oh, listen, Jimmy...
16:37He didn't whisper nothing to me, yeah.
16:38You told me, Hazel!
16:39He didn't whisper at me.
16:40He was telling me the truth about you being drunk drugs.
16:43Jimmy, can I put something to you?
16:44Because, you know, God knows, I don't know how women's minds work, but here's the thing I want to say
16:47to you, right?
16:48If you're taking drugs, and you're nicking off her, and you're not really doing anything with your life,
16:53it's going to take one bloke to whisper in her anyway, isn't it?
16:55I'm not having a go, but isn't that because your life was in the car, see?
16:59Hazel, what did I say?
17:00I said, listen, it's my fault, yeah, why me and Hazel broke up.
17:03I've never, ever put the blame on Hazel, yeah?
17:05I took all the blame.
17:05I said, listen, because I went from treating her like a queen to treating her like a...
17:09See, when you're in addiction, Jeremy, yeah, right?
17:12Are you still addicted?
17:13No, but I've been fighting addiction for 20 years.
17:15When was the last time you used them?
17:18I had a dabble, like, two weeks ago.
17:19A dabble in what?
17:20Oh, but you told me on my phone it's been months since you used them.
17:23Go and get your texts!
17:24A dabble in what?
17:25A dabble in what?
17:26A dabble in what?
17:26Heroin.
17:27Two weeks ago.
17:28Yeah.
17:29Since that, you're clean.
17:31Yeah.
17:31Do you know my next problem?
17:33What?
17:33And can I make a point?
17:34No, I didn't have Leo.
17:35I had him for 10 days.
17:36Can I make a big, big point?
17:38What?
17:38The big issue here was, do you or have you ever done drugs in front of your kid?
17:42I haven't ever done drugs in front of a girl.
17:44The big issue is because you found that cap.
17:46What do you think?
17:46Do you think he does drugs in front of his kid?
17:49I can't comment on that, Jeremy, to be honest.
17:51Even though there's no needle marks in my body.
17:55You say that you're going to pass this, yeah?
17:56Yeah.
17:59Can I just...
18:00Can you just move to one side, Stevie?
18:03This is what this is about.
18:05Isn't it?
18:05I don't want more now.
18:06Don't, please.
18:06He's the whole reason why you're ill.
18:11Why are you crying?
18:12I don't understand if you didn't see your child to be crying, but you see your child...
18:16Jimmy, you've got to come here and stop flouncing off.
18:18I've got the results.
18:19Come and prove to the world you've turned your life around.
18:21Come on.
18:22And then you can be a father.
18:23I'm not running around after you.
18:25Can't keep running away, son.
18:27There is a degree of guilt here.
18:29You two had sex behind his back.
18:30Oh, yeah.
18:31I fully admit that.
18:32See that little boy there?
18:33Look at him.
18:33Listen, that's my world right now.
18:35That's my world.
18:36Look at him.
18:37See if you come out now, yeah?
18:39You watch him and be like, dad, dad, dad, dad, dad.
18:40Yeah, he loves you.
18:41I've always said that.
18:42He loves his dad.
18:44Jimmy admitted at the start of the test that he had used cannabis in front of his son,
18:49Leo.
18:51Jimmy denied ever using heroin in his son's presence, although he did confess that during the
18:5610 days that he recently looked after Leo, he visited a friend's house to take heroin
19:00whilst his son was in the care of family members.
19:04Funny that, because you told me you had him the whole time.
19:06We therefore changed the questions.
19:08Disgusting.
19:09We therefore changed the questions to the following.
19:11Disgusting.
19:12She took me.
19:13Me.
19:13You know she did.
19:14Have you ever taken heroin in the presence of Leo?
19:17You said no.
19:18Why did you say no?
19:19Because this test says you're a liar, pal.
19:21No, no, no, no, no, no.
19:24Change the questions and still lie, yeah?
19:26So you've been using in front of him.
19:28During the 10 days you recently looked after Leo, did you take heroin in his presence?
19:32You said no.
19:33This test says you're a liar.
19:36You don't see your son ever again.
19:39Check everything.
19:39Check everything.
19:40Check everything.
19:41That's all.
19:41He means no answer to you, yeah?
19:43Yeah, he does.
19:43You did take heroin in front of him.
19:45Yes, you did.
19:45You don't run off again, are you?
19:47No.
19:48That's why you ran off, because you know that you're a dirty secret liar.
19:52You lied the whole three years I was with you and I knew you was going to lie today.
19:57I knew, yeah?
19:59I've only ever been on a bench to do no more Jimmy.
20:01I want to come on here.
20:02I want to come on here, everyone.
20:03You're going to come and tell him the truth of the world yet.
20:06I don't speak to him, will you?
20:07What?
20:09Shall I tell you?
20:10You got no sh...
20:12Wait till we got back.
20:13Wait till we got back to him.
20:14Wait till we got back to him.
20:14Wait till we got back to him.
20:16Oi, do me a favour.
20:17You're not helping.
20:19So let me get this right.
20:20He's your world, so you take heroin in front of him and you're telling people.
20:24And you make threats to do people on national television.
20:26You're finished.
20:28Why would I ring him?
20:29Why would I ring him?
20:29And do you know what, yeah?
20:30Your mum owes me the biggest apology ever, yeah?
20:34Why would I ring him?
20:34For lying to me.
20:36Will I come on here, yeah?
20:37So now that gives me problems for your mum having here, because she lied to me.
20:40I thought she was a good grandmother.
20:42Will I come on here, yeah?
20:44You know what he means to me, Hazel, yeah?
20:45Obviously we don't.
20:46I said that.
20:46You asked Hazel.
20:47I said Jimmy can be a good dad.
20:49But do you know what?
20:50A little, little, little, tiny part of me was open.
20:53One of your mates left that on my buggy.
20:55A little, tiny part of me.
20:56Listen, I did not leave that on my buggy.
20:57Do you know what?
20:58I have not used in front of him.
21:00There is not an ounce of respect for you in my body.
21:02Listen, I have not used in front of him.
21:03And if Leo never has respect for you again, I don't blame him.
21:08Sorry, can I get something straight?
21:10Can I...
21:11Can I...
21:11Can I...
21:12Can I get something straight that we all seem to have missed the point of?
21:15You have your kid, your world, your joy, everything that matters to you, right?
21:19And you just leave him with your mother and go to a mate's house and take him?
21:22No, no, no.
21:23No, I haven't finished.
21:24And then you go back to your kid while you're under the influence.
21:27No, no.
21:27Why don't you not take heroin and love your kid because you don't care about your child,
21:31do you?
21:32My mum...
21:32You're big drugs.
21:34That's what you do.
21:35That's true.
21:37How long...
21:38All right.
21:39When you went to the friend's house and you took drugs, how long were you out of it for?
21:43I weren't out of it at all.
21:44When you took heroin, you went straight home?
21:47No.
21:47Brilliant.
21:48You were under the influence of heroin.
21:49No, no.
21:49How long did you stay away from Leo because of heroin?
21:55My mum took Leo out for the day.
21:57So you thought you'd get just high, yeah?
22:00That's minus one day you could have had with your son because you picked heroin.
22:05I still had a day with him.
22:06No, you didn't.
22:07Yeah, I did.
22:09When the drugs had stopped working.
22:10I don't inject.
22:11I just showed you all my arms.
22:12So what did you do when you went to your friend's house?
22:14When you went to your friend's house, what did you do?
22:15How did you take it?
22:17How did you take it?
22:18I had a little smoke of it, but not a lot.
22:22So someone else has been near my son's buggy and put a pin cap on us.
22:25No, I don't take him.
22:26I don't take him.
22:26I don't take him.
22:28Can I tell you something?
22:29Can I tell you something?
22:31If I was a mother and I gave my kid to a bloke for ten days, do you know what?
22:36I wouldn't even be bothered about that.
22:37I'd be like, so he has my kid because he's dad of the year, leaves the child with a mother
22:43and goes off and takes some heroin.
22:45You don't every day that I am.
22:47And you don't.
22:47My mother and I take out a grandchild.
22:49No.
22:50No, I'm saying that if you loved your son, you wouldn't go and do heroin.
22:53That's what I'm saying.
22:53That's the only reason you live for that.
22:56Come on.
22:56So you're telling me that every addict don't love their kids?
23:01I didn't say that.
23:02Some dude, not every addict will sit there and bang up in front of them kids and I bet
23:05you I can find many addicts that spit in your face for that.
23:08You had a choice that day.
23:11I actually believe in my heart that you want to be a dad but you picked heroin again over
23:15Leo.
23:16I have never ever ever, yeah, done heroin in front of my child.
23:20Why'd you fail the test then?
23:21Why'd you fail the test?
23:24Why don't you try telling the truth for just one little time?
23:27If I'd done it easier, if I'd done it, I'd turn it easier.
23:29I wouldn't even come on here.
23:30I tell you what, sit here and tell the truth now.
23:32Tell the truth.
23:32I've never ever done it in front of him.
23:34I swear down.
23:36The day you die, you reckon you're your best friend?
23:38Hold on a sec.
23:39Jimmy, look at me.
23:39Jimmy, look at me.
23:41Look at me.
23:42I actually believe underneath, right?
23:44And I have to give you some credence that you rang the show in me out.
23:47The only thing I've ever done yet.
23:48Are you going to listen to me?
23:49Just wait.
23:51I think there's far more to this story they've got together behind your back.
23:53I think you are an addict.
23:55Look at me.
23:57I'm going to make you a promise.
23:59You've got 30 seconds.
24:03And I might just consider helping change your life.
24:07You did take it, didn't you?
24:08Yeah.
24:10And that is your cat from my cat?
24:11No, it's not my cat.
24:12I swear that name.
24:12Look at me.
24:13Look at me.
24:14But Leo went there.
24:17He was out in the back garden.
24:18That's why he went there.
24:20Just wait.
24:21Just wait.
24:21I swear that name.
24:22I can't do anything if you start lying and continue lying in denial.
24:26I want you to go backstage.
24:27I want you to talk to Graham.
24:28I'm going to spend the next week talking to Graham.
24:30Graham and the team.
24:31Look at me.
24:33I'm not saying we can do anything.
24:35But if we can, it will be the only chance you're ever going to get.
24:37To be honest with you, Jeremy.
24:38When I first came on here, I did say he didn't know about getting help as well, didn't I?
24:42You can only get help on this show.
24:43You got offered years ago.
24:44This lady's amazing, by the way.
24:45Can I tell you something?
24:46Most women by now, it appalls me, right?
24:49There are people that can't see their kids.
24:51Graham's in that pod.
24:52Look at me.
24:53You've got a job to do.
24:55You've got to be honest and open and decent.
24:58You'll leave the door open.
24:59If he can prove it.
25:01We'll keep you updated.
25:02You two go that way.
25:03You go that way to Graham.
25:06I'm not saying we can do anything.
25:07I'm going to talk to Graham.
25:08I'm going to talk to the team.
25:09But if that man means it and he stops making excuses, just maybe on the Kyle show, we can
25:13do something good for him and that kid.
25:14Right, next.
25:15We're back with DNA results.
25:17Don't go anywhere.
25:18I've seen you at the bingo room four weeks ago.
25:21Hang on, see there.
25:22Four weeks ago.
25:24And you rang me at midnight.
25:26Did I ask you for a DNA?
25:36Thank you very much.
25:38Welcome back.
25:38My next guest today, Neil, says that he asked ex-partner Debra for a DNA test on her daughter
25:42for 19 years.
25:43Neil says that Debra has always refused that test and he's here today to finally find out
25:47if he is the father to this girl.
25:50It's a massive day for this guy.
25:51Neil is on the Jeremy Kyle show that way.
26:01How are you?
26:02Yeah, yeah, fine.
26:03You all right?
26:04Yeah, yeah.
26:05Welcome to the show.
26:05I never quite know when people come out here for DNA after.
26:08I can see already this is massive, right?
26:10What does today mean?
26:12Everything.
26:18Let's talk.
26:20I mean, you said to my team, I'm here to do a DNA test which frankly should have been
26:23done 19 years ago on your potential daughter.
26:26Now, the thing with these sort of stories, people always make a judgement.
26:28He must have been a nightmare.
26:29He must have had an affair.
26:30He must have done one.
26:31He's not interested.
26:32Can we hear, can we hear from your side?
26:34Take us back.
26:35You were in a serious relationship with Debra.
26:37It was casual, what?
26:38It was about three months and all that.
26:40But it was just like half a night and a couple of days a week.
26:43I was just like, do I know and all that.
26:45Did you know she was pregnant?
26:47I can't remember roughly if it was just before.
26:50It was just after.
26:52But you knew that she was pregnant?
26:53Yeah, I did, yeah.
26:55Did she tell you she was, did she say you're the father?
26:58Well, yeah, she did.
26:59Then why have you spent 19 years not doing anything then?
27:02Because we split up and all that and we lost contact.
27:05She moved away.
27:06Can I just, without you getting upset, if somebody told me there was even a 1% chance
27:10that I was the father of their child, I would pursue them until the end of the world.
27:13Yeah, I asked her so many times for a DNA test and she goes, no, you ain't getting one.
27:17No!
27:20Shut up.
27:21You shut up!
27:22Who she does for 19 years!
27:25I asked her so many times for that and she was just saying no.
27:28Could you not have done more?
27:30I could have, but I wanted to find out exactly if she was mine or what.
27:33Be quiet, you'll get your chance.
27:35Shush!
27:35I wanted to find out exactly if it was mine or what.
27:38It was mine or what?
27:39Well, if Curly was mine.
27:41Why would she be lying from when she said you were?
27:45Why didn't you just accept it and be involved in your daughter's life?
27:49But...
27:49She's going to come out here and say that you used the excuse of a DNA test to get out
27:53of being a father.
27:54Well, no, because we split up and all that.
27:55Yeah, but that's beside the point if a woman says you are the father, why didn't you be a dad?
28:00Well, because I didn't see Carly for the first five years.
28:04So Deborah tracked you down after five years.
28:07She told you five years previously that you were the father of the baby.
28:10You're there now with your daughter and your ex.
28:12Why are we now 15 years later on the Jeremy Carr show?
28:16Because she, basically, she didn't want me to have a DNA.
28:18No, but she told you you were the father!
28:20Yeah, but I didn't...
28:22Anne found you.
28:23You didn't do enough, did you?
28:24Well, I could have done more, yeah, but if...
28:27I'm sick of Deborah being the barrier of the truth, but I find that slightly a weird thing to say.
28:32In only that, she did pursue you.
28:35She did tell you you were the father.
28:38And you've taken another 14, 15 years to be at this point.
28:41What have you missed out on with Carly?
28:43Well, I miss on everything.
28:44I miss schools, Christmas...
28:46Do you or have you paid for this child?
28:48Um, well, every time I was seeing Carly, when I got to, like, know her, I was giving her money
28:54every time I see her.
28:55And then, next minute, I had a letter from the CSA.
28:58How long ago was that?
28:59Um, that was when...
29:00Well, I had a letter, like, five, six years ago.
29:04I told my team they were taking out £100 a week, and in the end I got into debt simply
29:07because this child's supposed to be mine.
29:09Yeah.
29:10Just hold that thought.
29:11Just hold that.
29:12No, no, no.
29:13Stop, stop, stop.
29:13She told you that you were the father.
29:16She found you after five years, and you didn't see it through.
29:20The CSA have been charging you for six years.
29:22All things would point to the fact that, actually, essentially, right, I believe that you're the father.
29:27You could have done a lot more.
29:30Is it not a cop-out to blame this woman when, actually, this woman on three occasions did everything that
29:36was needed?
29:36Yeah, but I wanted proof it was mine.
29:39Why'd you need proof now?
29:41Why didn't she tell me in the beginning that...
29:43She did. She said it's your child.
29:44Yeah, but I didn't know it was either born or nothing.
29:46She could have got in contact...
29:48Well, currently...
29:48But you left.
29:49Did you do enough to find her?
29:51Well, I was speaking to her and all that, and she was saying, well...
29:54You didn't do enough, did you?
29:55Well, I could have done more, yes.
29:57But I didn't have the opportunity because...
29:59But what could you have done more?
30:01I could have been there more, but I didn't have the opportunity because I didn't...
30:04I wouldn't 100%...
30:06I got a letter from your daughter.
30:08If she's yours.
30:10Dear Neil, I'm writing this letter to let you know exactly how I feel.
30:14You've denied me all my life, and you've never been there for me.
30:18I know that Mum has offered to you to have a DNA on numerous occasions, and you've refused.
30:22Eh?
30:22I'm 19 years of age now.
30:24My child is over.
30:25I've missed out on a father figure because you were more interested in drinking and wasting your life.
30:29I believe that the DNA today will prove you are my father.
30:32But I've managed 19 years without you, so I'm not sure if I want a relationship with you now.
30:37Is she for real?
30:38I asked her absolutely loads of times, and my sister...
30:42So, 19 years down the line, Carly's mum and dad, if you are the father, are still arguing the toss,
30:47and that poor girl doesn't know better.
30:49Who I'm with now, my sister.
30:49Deborah's on the Jeremy Kyle show that way.
30:55I have gone to you several times with that child, and that's a bit...
31:00Let's get her out and ask her then, shall we?
31:02Excuse me, how many times I asked you for a DNA test, and you refused me?
31:06No, you've never asked me.
31:07I've seen you...
31:09You told me, yeah.
31:10...four weeks ago.
31:11Hang on, see that?
31:12You're a sack...
31:13...four weeks ago.
31:14You're a sack...
31:15And you rang me at midnight, didn't I ask him for a DNA?
31:18Are you absolutely...
31:19I haven't had a drink note till I'm 26 weeks.
31:20Shall we go and ask her then?
31:22Are you really for real?
31:24That was before I went on a DNA.
31:26Are you actually...
31:26That's a question I'm asking myself.
31:27Can you...
31:27Sorry, could you sit down?
31:28Can I ask you a call?
31:30Hello.
31:30Can I ask you a question?
31:32What did you say?
31:33I ain't sitting by...
31:34No chance.
31:34You haven't at all.
31:36Can I ask you a question?
31:37Did you or did you not, 19 years ago, when you gave birth, tell him he was the father?
31:42Yes, I did.
31:42Did you deny DNA?
31:44What's the truth to this story?
31:45I did not deny DNA.
31:46Take a lie detector test.
31:47No, we're not doing a lie detector test.
31:49I've done a DNA test.
31:51Not being funny.
31:52I actually...
31:52We're not doing a drugs test.
31:54Not being funny.
31:55Even your sister knows you didn't because she's had her for a couple of months.
31:58Not being funny, but you, like...
32:00To give you access and you didn't bother.
32:03I've been waiting for one.
32:06I was waiting for one.
32:06What are you waiting for?
32:07Do you know what?
32:08With a grace of respect, I believe this woman absolutely.
32:12Here's the facts.
32:13She told you you were the father.
32:15Yes or no?
32:16Um, yeah.
32:17But I went too short.
32:18But I went too short.
32:21I didn't know she was seeing somebody else.
32:23It doesn't matter.
32:24You could have done more.
32:25Could you have done more for your daughter?
32:27If I would have known it was my daughter, yes.
32:29Tell me about the contact centre.
32:31Isn't it true to say that he failed to turn up on numerous occasions?
32:34He took a contact to her once.
32:36Carly was with him for 10 minutes, which her solicitor arranged that,
32:40because you were getting cocky and said you wanted to see her.
32:43I agreed.
32:43I went to her solicitor.
32:45You went to her solicitor.
32:47You were granted contact.
32:49Yes.
32:49You was with her for 10 minutes, and she can still remember it.
32:53And for three occasions after that, you didn't have to turn up.
32:57It got cancelled.
32:58I arranged, yeah, for Carly to come to my daughters.
33:01Did you fail to turn up?
33:03No, I didn't.
33:03Yes, you did.
33:04I don't buy you, mate.
33:05I'm really sorry.
33:06You didn't turn up at the contact centre.
33:07She told you you were the father.
33:09She found you in the pub.
33:10You haven't done anything, have you?
33:12At the end of the day.
33:13At the end of the day, you're another day.
33:14You haven't done enough, have you?
33:16I could have done more if I had done anything.
33:17What's your sister called?
33:18Mandy.
33:19Mandy's on the Jeremy Kyle Show that way.
33:29I want the truth.
33:30I don't want loyalty to your brother.
33:32He hasn't done enough, has he?
33:33No, he could have done more.
33:36Do you have any involvement with Carly?
33:38I used to have a lot of involvement with Carly, didn't I?
33:41Yeah.
33:42That's what I said when she went to your house when we made arrangements for her to come to
33:46yours on a weekend.
33:47She told my team, Neil, you know this child is yours.
33:50She looks like you.
33:51Why has it taken so long?
33:52Ask your brother.
33:53Come on.
33:54Because it's not being funny.
33:54Shut up and listen to your sister.
33:57Go on.
33:57I've always said to you, Carly, it's an image of you.
34:01There's no...
34:02There she is.
34:03Denying that.
34:04There she is.
34:06She needs to see her.
34:09You can see her now.
34:11So why deny me DNA?
34:14You've got a DNA, but guess what?
34:16That's going to be the end of it.
34:16Why deny your child a father when the mother told you 19 years ago you were the father?
34:22It doesn't make sense.
34:25I just wanted truth for myself.
34:27Why would you want truth?
34:29There are men watching this programme.
34:30Women say to them, you're not the father, you're not the father and they fight.
34:33You were told you are and you did nothing.
34:34At the end of the day...
34:36Stop saying that!
34:40Do you know what she calls me?
34:42Can I point out to people watching the reason?
34:44You denied me 20 years for fancying her.
34:46I haven't...
34:47Ask her!
34:48Ask her!
34:49She will...
34:50Do you know why she sat in the green room?
34:52Because she said to Graham and me this is the most difficult day in my life and I bet they'll
34:55just argue the whole time.
34:57Well, because I know she was going to deny...
34:58Why don't you start thinking...
35:00It's not about you two, it's about that girl!
35:03Yeah!
35:03Right, let's find out the truth.
35:05Have you got those results?
35:0619 years ago she said that's your kid.
35:10You know it is.
35:12The DNA test results show that knew.
35:13You sad man, 19 years, of course she's your child.
35:16My child needs me!
35:18You don't!
35:19Oh my God!
35:23Do you know what?
35:25Do you know what it is?
35:27It's a classic, classic story.
35:29Okay?
35:30It's a classic, classic story.
35:32The fact is, and this is a lesson for a lot of people, a couple who aren't together allow
35:38their rancour, allow their argument to get in the way of a kid who's grown up for 19 years
35:46and you and her, I think your fault, sorry, have allowed your argument to get in the way
35:52of that.
35:53Carly, I know it's nervous, quick question.
35:55Do you want to see your dad or not?
35:56No.
36:01I'm not going to push her at all.
36:04Leave her there Matt with Graham.
36:06Are we going to flounce now?
36:07Are we going to fight?
36:08Are we going to run away for another 19 years?
36:09Grow a pair and get back here!
36:11Oi!
36:12Get back here!
36:13I'm not coming to you Neil.
36:15If you want to be a dad you're going to have to get your head down, you're going to have
36:18to buck up your ideas and make sure you do something that's right for a change.
36:21And if it takes a bit, oh you're back now are you?
36:24What do you want her to do?
36:25Go, oh hello daddy, sorry you've been away from it.
36:27I ain't saying that but...
36:29You've been selfish.
36:31Well I ain't.
36:36Mate.
36:37I would have been with her like 24-7 if I would have known 100%.
36:41Here's truth.
36:41Here's truth.
36:42She's your child.
36:43You knew she was your child.
36:45We'll do our best but she has every right to make her mind.
36:47Stop making excuses and face up to the fact.
36:53This is yours.
36:55Let's see what we can do backstage.
36:56You go that way.
36:57Give him a round of applause.
37:03It's true isn't it?
37:04We say it all the time on this show.
37:06Parents will argue, argue, argue and we sit here and we say every single day.
37:08You know what you carry on like that?
37:09Your kids will make a decision.
37:11Not the decision perhaps in his case that he wants to hear but she has every right.
37:15It's been nowhere.
37:15A woman says, oh by the way I'm pregnant to your kid.
37:17He disappears for 19 years and then comes back and says, I needed proof.
37:20The proof was in what she said.
37:22After the break, on this stage, a woman, oh I'm looking forward to this, confronts her violent boyfriend.
37:27I'm right back.
37:28He pinned me against the wall.
37:31He strangled me.
37:32He what?
37:32He strangled me.
37:34Oh here we go.
37:34You can have a go at it.
37:37Oh, doesn't like it does he?
37:46Have you been accused of cheating?
37:48Do you need to prove your innocence with a lie detector?
37:51If you're 18 or over and you want to be considered for the show, text the word talk today plus
37:55your name to 63334.
37:57Text cost 25 pence plus one standard rate message.
38:00You can call my team today.
38:01It's 09011.
38:03It's 123456.
38:05Course cost 25 pence plus your network access charge.
38:08Or email talk at itv.com to get in touch with one of my team.
38:20Thank you very much indeed.
38:21Welcome back.
38:22My next guest today, Leah, says that her boyfriend Wayne's temper is out of control.
38:26She says he constantly becomes angry and aggressive with her.
38:28She even had to call the police on him after things got out of control.
38:31She says despite all of this, of course, she loves him and she's here today to tell him,
38:36sort your anger out if this relationship's going to work.
38:40Here we go.
38:41Leah's on the Jeremy Kyle show that way.
38:55Why are you here, babe?
38:57Erm, I want my...
39:03It's okay.
39:04Bravest thing in the world to stay out here.
39:07Bravest, bravest, bravest thing in the world.
39:09You love him, don't you?
39:11Everybody's told you.
39:11I'm just going to paint a picture.
39:12If I'm wrong, tell me to shut up.
39:13Say, old man, you're wrong.
39:15Everybody's told you to leave him, haven't they?
39:17Yeah.
39:17So you stick your head in the sand because you reckon you're going to be the one that
39:19changes him because you think if you don't stand by him, everybody's going to say,
39:22I told you so.
39:23Yeah.
39:24If we're going to do this, it probably won't be very nice and you'll probably backtrack,
39:28but I'm going to do it how I know.
39:30Erm, how long you been with him?
39:32Erm, over three years.
39:34Erm, kids with him?
39:37Yeah.
39:38How old?
39:39Erm, nearly two and six months.
39:42I have split up with Wayne because he has been abusive and violent.
39:46The first incident happened a few months into the relationship.
39:50Do you remember that first incident?
39:51Yeah.
39:52What happened?
39:52I remember a bit of it.
39:55Erm, he picked me up against the wall and strangled me.
39:58He what?
39:59He strangled me.
40:02Wasn't that with the dog lead?
40:04No, that one was, that was, that was right.
40:06That was erm...
40:07You need to speak up.
40:08That one was a few years.
40:10Well...
40:10So you carried on because what he burst into tears said, I'm sorry, said I'll never do it again.
40:14The mist descended, I didn't know what I was doing.
40:17Is it in...
40:17Does it cause by booze?
40:19Does it come from absolutely nowhere?
40:22Sometimes it's from nowhere, but nine times out of ten it's through the weed.
40:26Oh, so she smokes weed.
40:28It's better and better this.
40:29So he's abusive.
40:30Does he work?
40:32No.
40:32Oh, so he uses his doll money to buy weed instead of pay for his kids.
40:36And then when he gets a bit miserable, he beats his missus up.
40:39What does he call you?
40:41Called me a ****.
40:47Didn't he try and suffocate you?
40:49Well, he said that he didn't, but...
40:53Tell me something.
40:54Look at me, look at me, look at me, look at me, look at me.
40:56It's the worst thing he's ever done to you.
40:58What?
41:01Pin me up with his wall and strangle me with a dog lead.
41:05Punched you in the ribs, didn't he?
41:07Yeah.
41:07Right.
41:08So here we are.
41:08Here we have it, because I'm very, very straight.
41:10You've got two young kids who, whatever you say and whatever you think, would have taken
41:13this on board.
41:14You've got a whole set of family and friends who say, leave him, he's a violent thug.
41:17You stick your head in the sands, hoping that this guy is going to change.
41:21You dump him and then you come on the Jeremy Carr show.
41:22Why'd you come on the Jeremy Carr show?
41:23You got rid of him, finally, the waste of space.
41:25Because I love him and I've got two kids with him.
41:27He loves you when he's strangling you round the neck.
41:31No.
41:33Do you feel like you have to be with him because he's got two kids?
41:36You are worth far more than that, right?
41:38And the day that you say to this bloke, I would rather be on my own in a cardboard box
41:42than with you because of the way you treat me, is the day, right?
41:46Don't even show me a picture.
41:47Do you know what I've heard in my ear?
41:48He thinks it's funny to sit there and smirk.
41:51Because that sort of lowlife thinks it's alright to have a go at women, vulnerable women,
41:55women who are on the edge, women who have had a couple of kids
41:58and don't perhaps feel that good about their lives.
42:00And you go, I love him.
42:01Do you not think, I haven't even seen him, I don't want to see him.
42:03I bet he's some little boy, isn't he?
42:06Is he laughing even more now, Andy?
42:10Lovely smile on his face.
42:12Can't wait.
42:13Listen, I can tell him the truth or we can pussyfoot about.
42:17What do you want?
42:19Truth.
42:20You want the truth?
42:23Wayne is 19, ladies and gentlemen.
42:25He says, I do lash out and have a temper, but Leah does my head in.
42:29I don't see why I should do women's work.
42:32That's what women are for.
42:33Oh!
42:34Wayne's on the Jeremy Kyle show.
42:46You going to cry now, are you?
42:48No.
42:48You thug.
42:49I don't know what's going on, dear.
42:51I beg your pardon?
42:51I said you don't even know what's going on.
42:53I know you beat her up.
42:54No, I didn't.
42:55You pinned her up against the wall and tried to strangle her with a dog lead.
42:58But she hit me.
42:58What?
42:59But she hit me.
43:00Do you hit me?
43:02Huh?
43:02Yes, I have.
43:04Why?
43:04I'm struggling to work out why she would be with you anyway.
43:08Do you work?
43:08No.
43:09How do you pay for your kids?
43:11Well, they get enough money anyway.
43:13Get what they need.
43:14Oh, so you get the money from the doll for the kids?
43:16Well, they do anyway.
43:18Sorry?
43:18She does.
43:20How do you buy your drugs?
43:23Money.
43:24Are you for real?
43:25Look at me.
43:26Really?
43:30I give her the odd punch to the ribs because a man's got to do occasionally what a man's
43:36got to do.
43:37What did you say that?
43:38You said it.
43:39When?
43:39Do you want a proof of it?
43:40Yeah, I do.
43:41Really?
43:41Bring me that paper now.
43:42Don't even try it with me, mate.
43:44I'm not some 21-year-old girl.
43:45What is she even doing with you?
43:47So you didn't even know what's going on.
43:49You can't even face up to it.
43:51Have you called the police on him ever?
43:53What happened?
43:54You dropped the charges, didn't you?
44:02Horrible.
44:04Leah gets violent all the time, so then I'm going to have to do something like Restrainer
44:07or give her the odd punch in the ribs when it gets out of hand.
44:10A man's got to do what a man's got to do.
44:11You didn't say it.
44:12What?
44:13You think I'm going to believe you against the people who've made this show for 10 years?
44:16You are an absolutely archetypal, what are you, 19-year-old boy who thinks it's all right to do that.
44:22Funny you are.
44:26I don't even know what even happened to her.
44:29I know you're violent.
44:29She hit me, so I'll restrain her.
44:30Did you punch her in the ribs?
44:31Yeah, once.
44:32The only time I've ever hit her.
44:33Strangle her?
44:34Yeah, she's hitting me.
44:37Yeah.
44:38Walk away, darling.
44:39Don't you hit me?
44:40Yes, but you pin up against the wall with me.
44:43Because you hit me.
44:43Yeah, why are you putting up with having me five or six times?
44:45All right, then if she's hitting you, why are you putting up with it then?
44:48Because I love her.
44:49I beg your pardon?
44:49Because I love her.
44:50Cheat on her?
44:51No.
44:51You sure about that?
44:51Yeah.
44:52But you beat her, yeah?
44:53No.
44:55Would you love beating her more than actually making love to her?
44:57Would you like, yeah?
44:58I'm being serious.
44:59Well, I hit her once because you hit me like five or six times.
45:01Oh, baby.
45:02Pushed her.
45:02I can't help her.
45:04Why don't you go to work and support your kids?
45:06Because I can't get a job.
45:07I'm not surprised.
45:14What do you want me to say?
45:16You know, as well as I do, she'll stay with you.
45:18I'd want her to aim slightly higher than in the gutter, which is where she's at right
45:21now with you.
45:23People lie.
45:24Who's lying?
45:24Well, he hits me so many times.
45:27All right, why don't you be a man and go to work and support your kids and not smoke weed?
45:31Why do you smoke weed?
45:32Because I want to smoke weed.
45:33What?
45:34Because I want to smoke weed.
45:34Because what?
45:35Because I want to calm down.
45:36So maybe you've got an issue with your temper.
45:38Maybe you need to do something about that before you have kids, before you take drugs, and
45:41before you hit your missus.
45:42Maybe you should look in the mirror.
45:46You can have a go again.
45:49Oh, here we go.
45:51You can have a go at it.
45:52Oh, here we go.
45:55You can have a go at it.
45:56Oh, here we go.
46:13It will get worse.
46:15It will get worse.
46:16He doesn't answer it by saying, I'll do this, I'll do that.
46:19He won't.
46:19You hit me.
46:20And I'll do it.
46:21You hit me.
46:22I'll do it.
46:24I'll do it.
46:25It's a really harsh lesson.
46:27You put up, or you shut up.
46:29Why would you?
46:30Oh, run away again, little boy.
46:32Go on.
46:33Where is it going to end?
46:35Were you in hospital, with the kids taken off you, because of what they've seen, all
46:39for your quest to prove the world wrong.
46:41He's not exactly out here fighting for you, is he?
46:46He might come as a surprise to you,
46:48but there are men out there watching this
46:49and in this audience who don't think it's okay
46:51to strangle a woman and who would look after you
46:53and treat you like a princess.
46:56But you love him, right?
46:59So you're going to keep going?
47:02You can keep walking around
47:03or you can get out here and apologise.
47:05I'm not running after you. Grow up.
47:08Oh, we've taken our mic off now.
47:10We're finding it very hard to face up to the truth
47:12because nobody's ever told him the truth.
47:14The beatings will get worse.
47:16And it'll be fair to him.
47:18If it's two-way, the relationship isn't great.
47:20And if it's like that,
47:22then your kids will be taking it on board
47:23and somebody will make a complaint
47:25and then something will happen to your kids
47:27all because you think that one day he'll change
47:29or you'll change.
47:30Maybe you're just not right for each other.
47:31Maybe chemically it doesn't work.
47:33We're going to try our best in terms of
47:35self-esteem and confidence.
47:37And I'm sure you will go home with him.
47:38But listen to me.
47:39One day you might just wake up
47:41and this sounds really harsh
47:44and work out that you're worth more than that.
47:46Because you are.
47:47You can see it in your eyes.
47:48We've just got to get you there.
47:51Nice to meet you.
47:51Team are waiting.
47:52Go that way.
47:53Give a round of applause.
47:58It's easy, though, isn't it,
47:59to stand here and pass judgement.
48:01When you love somebody,
48:02you spend your life hoping and praying
48:03that they'll change.
