00:00You've got Tim McGraw.
00:01You've got Luke Bryan.
00:02You've got Cross-Canadian Ragweed, which is one that I'd be –
00:04but he'll blow them out of the water, I would think.
00:08I mean, there's a list there now, but I think Cole would finish top three.
00:14Well, I enjoy this, though.
00:15Am I crazy, Houston?
00:16I don't – yeah, I don't –
00:17When you look at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo lineup,
00:22when you look at that lineup,
00:24is it fair to say that Cole Wetzel finishes in the top three?
00:27I'm not saying – you don't have to be a huge fan.
00:29I'm just saying if you listen –
00:31Let's throw it out here.
00:33I think we've got to – well, we've got –
00:36so would he jump over Russell Dickerson?
00:38I mean, he'll be mad at you for saying that.
00:41I mean, Cole Wetzel would find that disrespect.
00:43I think Clint –
00:44Cloud asked Russ.
00:45Are you kidding me?
00:47Lizzo, this is a different spice right there.
00:50Well, but relatively speaking, yes.
00:53Dwight Yoakam?
00:53Yeah, absolutely, and Dwight's been at it for 400 years.
00:56I'll be here this one Friday – I mean Sunday.
00:58Forrest Frank?
00:59No, I don't know about that one.
01:01Forrest Frank – I mean, now you're getting into that spiritual stuff.
01:05He's got a lot of people that he can bring to the table.
01:07Yeah, I mean, when Jesus fans are your fans, it's going to be hard for folks.
01:11He can grab all the kids.
01:12What about Luke Bryan?
01:13I think he blows Luke Bryan.
01:15Really?
01:15Yep.
01:16Megan –
01:16Give him with that ass.
01:17Megan Maroney.
01:18Oh, Megan ain't in the same level.
01:20Megan's begging to open for –
01:22Calm down, Tyler.
01:23Creed in the building.
01:26I think Creed – I don't think that that was very accurate, Tyler.
01:30I think that was – you need to try it again.
01:32Oh, no.
01:34You're too muffled.
01:34You need to clear it up just a little bit.
01:36All right, hold on.
01:37Can you take me higher?
01:41Irwin said he thinks –
01:43Irwin said Cole is overrated.
01:46I don't disagree.
01:48I don't – no disrespect, but I don't – I personally – I personally don't like Cole Wetzel as much
01:55as –
01:55Others do.
01:56The cult would – but I'm telling you that –
01:58He's behind Chris Stapleton, right?
02:00Oh, is that?
02:01You're thinking.
02:02Okay.
02:02But Stapleton is just a – I mean, if you're a music fan – and you're not even a country
02:07music fan you like,
02:08but I'm telling you, there's a – there's a different – again, it's like Chris Stapleton doesn't have like a
02:15cultish following.
02:16Yeah.
02:16What about Lainey Wilson?
02:17Lainey ain't got a chance.
02:18As much as I love her, she ain't got a chance.
02:20Cody Johnson.
02:21Cody's got a chance.
02:22Being a Texas guy, maybe not now.
02:26Cody's –
02:27Yeah, he's a concert only.
02:29He don't even have the rodeo performance.
02:30He's closing it out.
02:31Yeah, he's closing that thing out with his own.
02:32So, I think on paper, he's probably beyond Coe at this point.
02:37When you're the solo opener, the solo closer.
02:40Somebody text right in here.
02:41Don't you dare try to put him ahead of Cody Johnson.
02:43I personally wouldn't.
02:45Personally, to be honest with you, it's not even close.
02:47But, again, I just – I think the Coe Wetzel fans are – they are bigger Coe Wetzel fans than
02:56any artist that we have on this line.
02:59It's crazy.
02:59See, I had never heard of him, but I've heard of a lot of – like, I've heard of Parker.
03:03I've heard of Tim McGraw, Lainey Wilson, Cody Johnson.
03:08Kelly Clarkson is in this thing.
03:10Yeah.
03:10Shabuzi.
03:10Like, I've heard of – but I hadn't heard of him.
03:13But you're saying he has got a – he's got an underground psycho.
03:17I mean, Coe Wetzel's got fans that if they hear you say something bad about him, they're going to be
03:21ready to throw down.
03:21Like the Swifties?
03:23They're going – yes.
03:24I mean, it's – they're going to fight.
03:27Like, I think Cody Johnson's got a little bit of a – he's got a kind of a I'll pray
03:31for you tendency.
03:32Coe Wetzel's got a – I will beat the brakes off you in the parking lot.
03:35If you talk about my Coe.
03:37I will hit you with a long neck bottle in the head type of deal.
03:40If you talk about my Coe.
03:41All right.
03:42Here's Nick Casario, who I believe loves Coe as well.
03:46Here's Nick Casario talking about what went into trading Titus Howard.
03:51I think the reality is – and, you know, some of our players, a lot of our players understand this.
03:55I mean, Titus did a lot of great things for the organization, have a lot of respect for him.
03:59Honestly, he's been one of the few players that's still here from when I first got here in 2021.
04:04And sometimes you've got to make some difficult decisions.
04:07And it's just one of those situations where, at some point, we were going to potentially have some dialogue and
04:12discussions about that,
04:13whether or not that was a possibility, whether or not, you know, we could extend him or we're going to
04:17extend him or not.
04:18I mean, the reality is it's probably going to be hard for – it is hard for us to make
04:22commitments to just about everybody
04:24or the players that, you know, maybe deserve a contract or are looking for a contract.
04:28So, I mean, I had a chance to see Titus the other day.
04:31He came into building.
04:32He's very appreciative of his time here.
04:34He made a tremendous impact.
04:36And I told him, I said, look, I have a massive amount of respect for you.
04:39Honestly, like what you've been asked to do, a lot of players could have handled it a lot differently.
04:43You never bitched.
04:45You never complained.
04:45I mean, essentially, the guy was moved all along the offensive line.
04:49So, these are the tough ones, I would say.
04:51And ultimately, you've got to make a decision.
04:53And in the end, you know, do what you feel is in the best interest of the team and the
04:58organization.
04:58So, I had nothing but respect for Titus.
05:00Certainly wish him well.
05:01You know, Titus did a lot of good things to your organization.
05:03I know he's appreciative of his time and we're certainly appreciative of the work that he did for us.
05:08All right.
05:09That is Nick Casario talking about Titus Howard.
05:12There's a piece in there that I think this leads to, how are they going to address this offensive line
05:20situation?
05:21And I wonder from you, the people, 713-5724-610 on the Base Power Text Line YouTube and Twitch,
05:28do you think they moved on from Titus Howard, Clint, because they felt like they couldn't afford to pay him
05:40because that's how they're going to handle financially the offensive line?
05:46Or do you think they moved on from him because they didn't want to pay him
05:51and they want to allocate their offensive line money in other players and not Titus Howard?
05:57I think it was financially driven.
06:00Yeah.
06:01Both now and into the future.
06:05I don't believe that they want to invest $21 million per year in a good guard
06:13that can also swing to other positions anytime you need him.
06:18I think 21 mil a year is huge money.
06:25And when you're talking about interior offensive line,
06:28I think that $21 million would be better spent on really on two players instead of one.
06:37If you're looking at the top end kind of deal,
06:40you can get a top end center for $16 or $17 million a year.
06:45And that leaves you $3, $4, $5 million to go spend somewhere else
06:48and invest in one of the guards, if you will, kind of deal.
06:51I think they would prefer, it's financially driven,
06:54I think they would prefer to spend $21 million a year in two different positions,
07:00maybe get a higher ceiling player, a more impact player at the center position
07:06with that $21 million than what Titus Howard was bringing to the table.
07:10And I think they knew it was going to be fair.
07:13Titus was going to command $20 plus million a year on the market for the foreseeable future.
07:18I think they knew they weren't going to pay him that.
07:21They got C.J. Stroud coming down the pike.
07:23They got some different things, some people that they're going to have to pay.
07:26I don't think they wanted to do that longer term.
07:29And so I think really smart, get something out of it while you can,
07:33clear up a little bit of cap space while you can.
07:36And I think that's the route.
07:38Now we'll see if they're going to take the, you know,
07:42if they're going to shop at the dollar store
07:43or if they're going to spend that money elsewhere.
07:47I just think if you're going to spend $20 million up front in today's game,
07:51I think it's got to be the bulk of that has to be in a lock, stock, and barrel,
07:57game-changing center that can communicate, that can move mass,
08:01that changes the game for your quarterback, your running back, both of your guards,
08:06like just changes the game across the board.
08:08Listen, we're going to find out when free agency hits.
08:11I am just hopeful, Clint, because the way they operated last year,
08:15they operated last year with their offensive line as if they were out of money.
08:21Yeah.
08:21Like they operated as if like this is where we're going to squeeze things.
08:27And I hope the Titus Howard thing is we could pay an offensive lineman $20 million
08:33if we wanted to.
08:34We just didn't want to pay him.
08:37Yeah.
08:37I hope that is the thought and not the thought is, yeah, we can't pay.
08:41We wanted Titus, but we just couldn't pay Titus $20 million
08:45because this is how much we're allocating towards our offensive line.
08:49I hope it's not that and it is more, yeah, man, Titus, man, we loved you here.
08:54We loved your versatility, but we're going for bigger fish.
08:57I hope that's what it is.
08:58Well, I think he's overpaid to be an average guard.
09:01And I think that's being generous.
09:03I think he's overpaid to be an average guard.
09:05And I think when you look at the tackle options,
09:10he's clearly better than Trent Brown because Trent Brown,
09:13what did you say, he played 11 games in the last two years?
09:15He played seven games last year.
09:17Just from a health standpoint, you know, I think he's a better option at tackle,
09:24but is he $14 million a year better than a Trent Brown?
09:29I think that's kind of how this thing unfolds.
09:32And they believe that the cheaper options on a short-term contract at tackle
09:39along with a rookie at tackle, that's a better option.
09:41And then so you couch him in the interior offensive line position,
09:45and I think $21 million for a guard per year is a little rich for their blood.
09:49And I don't disagree with him.
09:51I like Titus, bigger fan than Titus than most.
09:55But if guard is where you see him playing, it's not a good enough product to pay him $21,
10:03which I don't know if he could be good enough to pay him $21, to be honest with you.
10:05That's a lot of money for a guard.
10:07But it's just, it's not, you can get a better guard significantly cheaper than $21.
10:15So, I mean, it just didn't make sense.
10:16I think it's a smart move.
10:18I don't, I'm hoping that this doesn't mean, yeah, we're not going to spend,
10:22we're not going to spend big time on offensive line.
10:25I hope it just means we didn't want to spend big time on that particular player.
10:28I hope it just means we're not going to spend big time on that particular player.
