The official commercial sailing of the Blue Wave Harmony commenced on Monday and for the first time approximately forty truckers were accommodated on the vessel that left the Port of Spain port at around 2:15pm.

Chairman of the Tobago arm of the Trinidad and Tobago Chamber of Industry and Commerce Curtis Williams spoke with TV6 News. More from Elizabeth Williams.

00:08So I believe that now for this week he will probably just put in the extra goods in to bring
00:17his capacity up to where he was before the fallout of the ceiling.
00:21Mr. Williams said the chamber and the business community would continue to work along with the port authority towards reliable
00:30sailings of the cargo vessel.
00:32I will welcome that new schedule and we look forward to continuing working with the port and getting things in
00:40a proper and manageable manner.
00:42Mr. Williams said it's important that the sailing schedules are kept for goods to be replenished on the island.
00:49So the levels, the stock levels are coming back to where they ought to be.
00:54We just want to make sure that the schedule is being kept as said by the port throughout the week.

01:03The Blue Wave Harmony left the Port of Spain port destined for Tobago with 43 passengers, 119 vehicles, 20 trucks
01:13and trailers, 85 trucks, 9 vans, 5 cars, 4 20-foot containers, 6 40-foot flatbeds and hardware materials.
01:24TV6 News Lint, the boat's air conditioning is operational.
01:29However, no cabins are available as the air conditioning in the cabins will not be functional before Wednesday.
