Transcript
00:00We as a chamber, we are ready to work with the new government to build a stronger and more resilient Trinidad and Tobago.
00:09Mr. Williams said the TPP ran a better structured election campaign than the PNM.
00:15The Tobago People's Party had a better structured campaign than the PNM in bringing the issues to light of what the Tobago businesses face.
00:27And we were so pleased about that.
00:29Mr. Williams wants the TPP administration, however, not to forget the outstanding monies owed to Tobago contractors.
00:37We really want the THA to pay up some of those outstanding bills, not less even the contractors.
00:43They have been suffering for quite some time.
00:46And so we were really disappointed.
00:48And knowing that we accept this apology going forward, we want to see what best could be done to get those bills paid up definitely.
00:57And I know it's going to be a hard fight in the sense that there are scarce resources in the country.
01:04But I think with the relationship that we had with the UNC in the past, I think the relationship should be a cordial one.
01:12Elizabeth Williams, TV6 News.
