00:13and this website will aid you in educating you, bringing your business up to scratch,
00:17and how you can take full advantage of all the services that are going to be offered.
00:21Creator of the website and member of the Tobago arm of the Trinidad and Tobago Chamber of Industry and Commerce,
00:29Jason Arter said the website provides three distinct ways for members and their businesses to be showcased.
00:37The Tobago Business Advisory Services unit of the chamber does two things.
00:45It does education on one side, in marketing, sales, delivery, operations, and finance,
00:52and on the other side, we provide government compliance services, like help with annual returns, tax filings,
00:59if you want to register with the OPR, and that kind of stuff.
01:01The chamber provides advocacy on two levels, affording opportunities to members and the general public.
01:09We have the general advocacy that we do, so for instance, if something is wrong with the boat,
01:13we normally meet with the higher-ups at the port, and we try to fast-track whatever it is that's going on.
01:21That typically benefits the entire island, so that's general advocacy.
01:26But we also do member-level advocacy, so sometimes members have a particular issue,
01:34and the chamber, using its name, can sometimes call whatever entity that that member may be having issues with,
01:41and advocate on behalf of them.
01:43In addition, the website includes sections for business development, networking, and mentoring, and artificial intelligence.
01:52Every month, we're going to give you all some information about artificial intelligence.
01:56My background is I'm a marketing consultant. I have programmers who work for me, as well as designers,
02:03and we are now focused on artificial intelligence, because we know that's where we are, and that's where we're going,
02:09and so the chamber would like to take lead in talking about artificial intelligence, both in Tobago and in Trinidad.
