Feb. 2026 Updates On Negligent doctors Birmingham Radiological Group:
- A new review posted to the Better Business Bureau website dated 01/18/2026 reads: "Sends threats via mail to turn over to collection for bills that have been paid. Get a better company to handle your billing. You just lost a customer. I will not use a medical facility that can't even keep up with their own billing. Makes question the ability of those reading my x-rays, MRI and CT scans."

- A 2023 civil case as summerized by The Alabama Jury Verdict Reporter is trending near the top of search returns involving BRG doctor Julian Patrick Druhan (who also missed MILLION DOLLAR INJURIES in my own scans): "Medical Negligence - A woman was referred to a radiologist for an
ultrasound of her leg to rule out deep vein thrombosis (DVT); the radiologist read the ultrasound as showing no evidence of DVT; after the woman died a few days later of a pulmonary embolism, her estate blamed her death on the radiologist for failing to identify DVT on the
ultrasound."

Fisher’s estate filed suit against Birmingham Radiological Group (Dr. Julian Patrick Druhan) & the patient's pain management physician, Dr. Srinivas Mallempati, an employee of Alabama Ortho Spine & Sports (AOSS) (AKA OrthoAlabama Spine & Sports now with an office near Trussviille) (please see my 100 hours of video documentation for my own patient experiences with these bad doctors).

As a former patient / customer with outstanding / unresolved issues stemming from a broken skull injury I almost died from in 2019 (they would not help me to correct OR ACKNOWLEDGE their doctor's errors), my own analysis is that: People are becoming aware of their fraudulent practices and challenging their errors.

The Ascension / UAB / St. Vincent's health system is at the center of what may be the largest medical corruption case in U.S. history. They have empowered doctors, hospitals and partners with authority and privileges (and million dollar salaries) to operate that should not even be allowed to push a mop or broom in a professional medical setting or around those seeking medical treatment.

Birmingham, Alabama is no stranger to medical scandal, having played host to the Healthsouth debacle nearly 20 years ago but a far greater one is gathering strength, it involves patients being dumped, not receiving service (even-after paying), medical fraud, purposeful misdiagonosis and non-accountabilty after the fact. Radiology is a major chokepoint in local corruption. I share my experience as a patient dealing with 50+ doctor organization: Birmingham Radiological Group. Their response to my Better Business Bureau complaint should be required reading for any patient who deals with their doctors and any MD or business partner who interested in working with them.

00:00For all the details on what happened to me regarding my injury, we're pushing 100 hours
00:05plus of video now. YouTube channel My Medical Nightmare. All right, got some updates on
00:11negligent doctors, Birmingham radiological group. I unfortunately was a patient and customer not by
00:21my choosing three member doctors of this group. I'll go into my own issues a little bit later.
00:27I went into the emergency department believing that I had broken my neck or skull. These doctors
00:34looked at my scans and gave pronouncements. I had no injury present. I knew otherwise. I obtained the
00:42images and written records and found I had broken bone in the basilar area of my skull, improperly
00:49diagnosed, and I almost died from this injury that I was told I did not have. Many patients,
00:55customers, and business partners have had problems with Birmingham radiological group.
01:02I mentioned this latest review posted to the Better Business Bureau website dated January 18,
01:102026. This former patient and customer writes, sends threats via mail to turn over to collection
01:19for bills that have been paid. Get a better company to handle your billing. You just lost a customer.
01:25I will not use a medical facility that cannot even keep up with their own billing. Makes you question the
01:32ability of those reading the x-ray, MRI, and CT scans. These doctors have been implicated in other
01:40medical negligent civil court proceedings. This was written up in June 2023. You can find it in
01:48the Alabama Jury Verdict Reporter. They summarized the case. Medical negligence. A woman was referred
01:55to a radiologist for an ultrasound of her leg to rule out deep vein thrombosis. The radiologist read
02:02the ultrasound to show no evidence of DVT after the woman died a few days later of pulmonary embolism.
02:09Her estate blamed her death on the radiologist for failing to identify DVT on the ultrasound.
02:15The state of Jessica Fisher v. Birmingham Radiological Group, PC. Plaintiff Jeffrey P. Leonard,
02:22Hintinger, Garrison Davis, LLC, Birmingham. Defense Walter W. Bates, J. Bennett, White,
02:30and Mary Pat Grizzle. Starnes Davis, Florey, LLP, Birmingham. Verdict for the defense.
02:36The Circuit Jefferson 524-23 Judge Jim Huey III. In December of 2015, Jessica Fisher was suffering
02:46from lumbar pain. On 12-28-15, she consulted on the matter with her pain management physician,
02:54Dr. Srinivas Malampati, an employee of Alabama Ortho Spine and Sports. AOSS. And just to interject,
03:03you may see this and wonder, are they talking about Ortho Alabama Spine and Sports located near
03:12Trussville, Alabama? And the answer is yes, they are one in the same outfit. During Fisher's presentation,
03:20Dr. Malampati noted signs and symptoms that could be suggestive of deep vein thrombosis,
03:26specifically her right leg was swollen and red. Dr. Malampati wanted to rule out DVT, so he sent
03:35Fisher for an ultrasound. Done the same day by a technician employed by Birmingham Radiological
03:41Group. Interpreted by a diagnostic radiologist, Dr. Julian Druhan, an employee of the group.
03:49Dr. Druhan read the ultrasound as showing no evidence of DVT. That interpretation was then
03:56communicated to Dr. Malampati. Based on that interpretation, Dr. Malampati proceeded to treat
04:02Fisher's lumbar pain. He administered an epidural steroid injection on 12-30-15. The following morning
04:10on 12-31, Fisher died due to pulmonary embolism. It will later be alleged that the embolism was itself
04:17caused by undiagnosed deep vein thrombosis. Fisher's estate filed suit against Alabama Ortho Spine and
04:25Sports Birmingham Radiological Group and the technician who had performed the ultrasound.
04:31However, the technician was later dismissed from the case by the court's grant of partial summary
04:37judgment. The estate voluntarily dismissed Alabama Ortho Spine and Sports later. When the dust had
04:44settled, the only remaining defendant was BRG. The estate pursued that claim on a theory of vicarious
04:52liability. Specifically, Dr. Druhan had failed to notice the plain evidence on the ultrasound of
04:59DVT, both above and below Fisher's right knee. Additionally, Dr. Druhan had failed to note in his
05:07report that the ultrasound was limited due partly to Fisher's obesity and the inability to image parts
05:15of her leg. The estate further alleged that Dr. Druhan failed to communicate those limitations
05:20to Dr. Malampati and instead gave a definitive pronouncement that there was no evidence of DVT.
05:28Both sides identified a number of experts in the case, including Dr. Bruce Distell, Radiology,
05:35Fayetteville, North Carolina, Dr. Jeffrey Risley, Vascular Surgery, Crestwood, Florida, and Dr. Susan
05:42Smith, Internal Medicine, Pensacola, Florida. Birmingham Radiological Group defended the case
05:48and denied any breach of the standard of care on the part of Dr. Druhan. According to the defendant,
05:55Druhan's interpretation of the ultrasound was reasonable and it showed no evidence of DVT.
06:02The identified defense experts included Dr. Stan French, Diagnostic Radiology, Montgomery, Alabama,
06:10Dr. Timothy Uzi, Diagnostic Radiology, Madison, Mississippi, and Dr. Ben Pierce, Vascular Surgery,
06:18Birmingham, Alabama. It was Dr. Pierce's opinion that the cause of Fisher's death was unknowable.
06:25Furthermore, if she had developed DVT, it did not originate in the area that was imaged in the
06:32ultrasound. The case was tried for eight days in Birmingham. The jury returned a verdict for
06:38Birmingham Radiological Group and the court entered a defense judgment. There's a lot I could say about
06:45this case. Very unfortunate that we have another instance of alleged medical mistreatment involving
06:54Birmingham Radiological Group and Dr. Julian Patrick Druhan, and even more so because this individual
07:01later died. I think the important thing here to recognize is juries and courts can return incorrect
07:11or seemingly unfair rulings and judgments. Each time patients of these bad doctors seek out remedies
07:19in the court system, for example, this goes onto a record and a pattern of alleged negligence is being
07:27established. In my case, I have 100% proof that both Dr. Julian Patrick Druhan and Birmingham Radiological
07:36Group are negligent medical practitioners. There's no dispute in this fact. Any person who deals with
07:44the doctors of Birmingham Radiological Group, they need to know that this group is not trustworthy. They're not
07:51reputable. Please peruse the many hours of video documentation on my channel, the uploaded records, the recorded
08:00telephone calls with these people. You're a customer or patient of BRG. You need to look at cases like this
08:11and figure in these
08:13types of examples when assessing any work they may have done for you. Alabama-based Birmingham Radiological Group.
08:22They claim to have 45 radiologists on the payroll and are composed of doctors that examine MRI, X-rays, and
08:30C-3s.
08:32Many doctors and medical practices in the Birmingham area rely on their services. And you may be surprised
08:38if you went to see a doctor and had an MRI, CT, or X-ray in the Birmingham area. A
08:45BRG, Birmingham Radiological
08:47Group doctor, may have examined your images. And you may not be aware of it until later. I was a
08:53customer and patient
08:55of Birmingham Radiological Group in 2018 and 2019. I had three of their doctors look at MRI, CT, and X
09:04-ray
09:04of a major injury that I had in my head. I almost died from this. These doctors wrote in their
09:10reports
09:11that I had no injury present. I knew otherwise. Went and got the pictures. I'll put the pictures up here
09:17yet again. And what is clearly visible at this time when I was being told these falsehoods was that
09:25around six inches in diameter of infection appears inside my head. I'd actually broken my skull in the
09:33basilar area in the region of the occipital condyle and condular canal. My issues are unresolved
09:39outstanding as it relates to Birmingham Radiological Group doctors, Angus Baird, MD, Julian Patrick
09:46Druhan, MD, and Donald Shane Kelly, MD. I called the CEO, Doyle Stewart, and he told me in a recorded
09:54phone call that he was not going to help me get my own images looked at again or to correct
10:00the errors
10:01of their doctors.
