Listen to the end of the video for my recorded phone call dealing with American Health Imaging first-hand, and trying to bring my issues to CEO Scott W. Arant. The issue is outstanding, unresolved as of 2024, April. My phone calls were not returned. If you are interested in having medical scans taken by this business please think again and go somewhere else.

A new complaint at the Better Business Bureau (BBB) website confirms my own case as a patient being misdiagnosed by their doctor Angus Baird MD in 2019. I was told no injuries appeared in an MRI showing I had in-fact broken the underside of my skull, an injury I almost died from. After paying $500 cash, I was turned away rudely and hung up on by their negligent business afterwards, they don't back up their service.

These new allegations are from Decatur, Georgia, posted in February, 2024. The BBB complainant says tearing in the L4-L5 vert. of their lower back was missed in an AHI MRI scan but later discovered by another MD. Complainant mentions a "RUDE LADY" who would not help her or give their name, she was told to have their MD contact them and then hung up on.

I called American Health Imaging (AHI) Birmingham AL. attempting to have a misdiagnosed MRI I had there in 2019 reread. Angus Baird MD misread this MRI. He did not acknowledge serious head trauma, infection and possible broken bone in the underside of my skull that appears in the same scan. The receptionist tells me I have to have a Doctor order the reread. I am then told I will have to pay for another MRI (AHI MRI was $500) and then have the doctor order a reread. I do not believe this is the case. After some disagreement I am also hung up on.

00:00All right, as always, you can go to YouTube channel My Medical Nightmare and see 40 plus
00:07hours video on everything that happened to me. All right, a new complaint has surfaced on the
00:14Better Business Bureau website. This one is against American Health Imaging. This is for
00:21the location in Decatur, Georgia. All right, so the problem here is the complainant received
00:28a scan at an American Health Imaging location. I've done several videos on this medical practice.
00:37They have many locations around Birmingham, Alabama as well. My issues were very similar
00:44to what is described in this February 26, 2024 report. My own visit was in 2019. The new
00:55complainant mentions they went into the location, had a scan, had their doctor look at the pictures,
01:03issue a report, and they missed a very crucial injury that was subsequently discovered by another
01:10doctor. And you can read here what happened to them when they tried to go to AHI, American
01:19Health Imaging, and have their error corrected. L4, L5 vertebrae is in your lower back.
01:27So this complainant describes a rude lady that she spoke to, as well as an unpalatable excuse.
01:36She says that she was so rude and treated the complainant disrespectfully and unprofessionally,
01:43and they hung up the phone on her. And yeah, this is totally unacceptable, unprofessional business
01:50practice. So you may read this, and you may be like, oh, this is an isolated incident. This is a
01:56one-off. But no, I will play my own call when I try to have my MRI errors acknowledged. And
02:05you can hear
02:06what happened to me. Almost exactly the same thing. So I will assume that this practice of being rude
02:13and hanging up the telephone must be a company policy. So when you go in and you want to have
02:19a
02:19scan done, they'll gladly take your $500 cash to do the scan for you. You have problems after the fact,
02:27and you can see what happens. My own case, I went in and had a cervical neck scan done.
02:35They outsourced the reading of the MRI to Dr. Angus Baird, MD, who is a member of Birmingham
02:43Radiological Group. There's major problems with this group and doctor. They are negligent. The doctor
02:50said no injuries appeared in the pictures. I'll put the pictures up here once again, so everybody can
02:56examine them. And you can see for yourself that an injury does in fact appear where Dr. Angus Baird
03:04wrote in his report that there were no injuries. I tried to have this corrected with American Health
03:10Imaging. You can hear my experience was hung up on. That wouldn't help me. I called the radiology
03:17organization that Dr. Angus Baird belongs to in an attempt to contact him directly, which should be my
03:24right as a patient under the care of this doctor. Birmingham Radiological Group would not place me
03:32in contact with this doctor in contact with this doctor. I tried to call the CEO of American Health
03:38Imaging, Scott W. Arendt. He did not answer his telephone and did not return my call. Several years
03:47have lapsed since that call, and this is still an outstanding, unresolved issue. So if you're out there
03:54and an example of difficulties dealing with American Health Imaging appear on your desk, please take this
04:04seriously because there are two examples back-to-back and confirmed on the true first-hand experience
04:13dealing with their customer service. This is totally unacceptable.
04:18All right. So in this call, I attempt to contact radiologist Angus Baird, MD. And this doctor,
04:27he read an MRI scan that I had done at American Health Imaging in Birmingham, Alabama, May 15th, 2019.
04:42This costs $500 cash. So in this scan, I was told that no injuries appeared. However, if you look at
04:51the
04:51images, you'll see that I have signs of head trauma. And I believe that I broke a bone in the
05:02underside of
05:03my skull. That's a basilar area, occipital condyle, condylar canal region. And you may be able to see
05:13infection in this area. And the pain in this area, this is the reason that I had this MRI scan
05:20done.
05:21It was missed by this radiologist. All right. So the phone number I found, it leads to
05:27Birmingham Radiological Group. And they tell me they can't connect me directly to the doctor. And I
05:35should call American Health Imaging, where I had the MRI scan done. So here I call American Health Imaging,
05:45Birmingham, Alabama. And although I had this scan done in 2019, this receptionist tells me
05:56that they don't deal with those doctors anymore. And yeah, I wonder why. I might actually know the
06:03reason. Tells me that I will have to go through another doctor, possibly have another MRI scan. And I
06:12paid $500 for this one already in order for them to do some kind of procedure and have this scan
06:24looked at
06:25again. And yes, I do not believe the statement that I'm given here is correct. I paid for this service,
06:33the MRI scan itself, and the radiologist report. Injuries show up in the pictures. The doctor did not
06:43acknowledge the injury. And then a bit of an argument ensues. And I was hung up on by this call
06:54agent from
06:55American Health Imaging. So prospective customers out there, clients and business partners, apparently
07:04they don't stand behind their work. Yeah, and I mean, you know, my experience doing with this, run around and
07:11excuses. You can see everything that happened to me regarding this issue. It's on my YouTube channel,
07:20My Medical Nightmare.
07:24Thank you for calling American Health Imaging. This is Jesse. How can I help you?
07:28Yes, ma'am. I was a patient at AHI 2019. I had an MRI scan done. I had an injury
07:36show up in an MRI and
07:38I got a doctor's report saying no injury was present. I need to try to talk to somebody about
07:44having this MRI scan looked at again, please. So your doctor will have to request that. We can't...
07:51Okay, I was told, I was told to call you guys to get in touch with the doctor. Dr. Angus
07:56Baird.
07:58Um, he doesn't, he doesn't work here no more. That's an old radiologist. We don't use those
08:03radiologists anymore. So again, like the doctor that referred to you, um, or just a doctor, a new
08:11doctor you're going to now, you could have them, um, have a new MRI done and they can do a,
08:21um,
08:23what is that, what is it called? Yeah, they can have an addendum done. Okay, well, I have a problem
08:29with an MRI that was taken, uh, that I paid money to you guys for, uh, that, uh, I got
08:34a report that
08:35said I had no injuries and the injury shows up in this MRI. I need to try to get in
08:39touch with that,
08:40uh, doctor, please. Okay, so what I'm telling you is you can have your doctor that referred you to...
08:47Well, I don't, I don't need a doctor. I'm, I'm calling you guys to get in touch with a doctor
08:50directly. If you would listen, I'm trying to tell you that... Well, you gotta, you have to say
08:55something intelligible first, madam. I'm trying to explain to you how you can have this done.
09:02Okay, I was told to call you guys. I was told to call you guys and you would get me
09:06in touch
09:06with a doctor. All right, so to see everything that happened to me regarding my injury, please
09:14see my YouTube channel, My Medical Nightmare.
09:18Thank you for calling American Health. If you do not know your party's extension,
09:23please press 9 for a dial-by-name directory. To reach A-R-A-N-T-S-C-O-T
09:33-T, press 1,
09:35the party you are trying to reach is not available to take your call. Please leave a message after the
09:41tone. Trying to reach CEO Scott W. Arendt was a patient at American Health Imaging Birmingham,
09:51Alabama location. 2019, I had a $500 MRI misdiagnosed by your doctor, Angus Barrett, MD. He told me no
10:00injuries were present. Got the records and images. Several inch diameter anomaly appears in the cervical
10:07area of my neck beneath my skull. Almost died from this wound. And I need my original images
10:14re-examined and corrected, please. I need to do something about these doctors who don't know how
10:20to do their jobs properly. The facility will not help me. I called them in Birmingham. They hung up
10:26on me. Some child answered the phone. Very immature. I called the radiological group of the doctor.
10:33They got 40 doctors on the payroll. They would not put me in touch with Dr. Angus Barrett, MD,
10:40to have this corrected. Made a bunch of really lame excuses. You need to stop doing business with these
10:49groups. I had several doctors from that group misread other MRIs, x-rays, and CTs that I had done
10:56as well. And look forward to speaking when you serve and trying to get in touch with you for many,
11:01many months. Nobody ever calls me back. Huh, wonder why.
