00:00Hi, I'm Sakshi Solanki, currently a one-year PGPM student at Soil.
00:04Before coming to Soil, I was working as a senior business analyst in an IT company for three years.
00:09I got placed as a senior analyst at OneDigiStack, which is basically a marketing analytics company.
00:16What they do is they are AI-powered SaaS company, which basically help other big brands to scale
00:22or optimize their sales on e-commerce platforms.
00:25So currently, they're working with all the big brands, for example, Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Unilever, HCL,
00:33and there are many more big brands they're working with.
00:36So this one-year PGPM program definitely suits someone like me who comes from a work experience
00:42because this really helps you to acquire potential skills fast
00:47and you can transition into roles like consulting, strategy, or analytics as well.
00:52Because this program focuses on the curriculum which is more structured, relevant, and outcome-driven.
00:59So they do not focus on any kind of unnecessary concepts or teaching.
01:05So that is why this one-year is altogether very intensive and very dynamic,
01:10but in the end, it is completely rewarding as well.
01:13So the soils PGPM program is basically divided into three different components.
01:18One is the academic, second is the experiential, and third is the industry focus.
01:24So if I talk about the academic part, so there are three different terms.
01:29So the term one consists of the fundamentals of every domain.
01:33So we learn about the basics of marketing, analytics, HR, and finance.
01:39Moving to the term two, it is more focused.
01:42So here we focus on the specialization.
01:45So my specialization was marketing.
01:46So most of the subjects revolved around marketing only.
01:50So the subjects would be like growth strategies, the consumer behavior, and marketing analytics.
01:56So these were the few subjects that were covered as part of the marketing specialization.
02:01So term three is basically a combination of your specialization with your elective.
02:06So my elective is analytics.
02:07So I will be indulging more on the subjects which are on the analytics side.
02:13And term three is also about holistic learning as well.
02:17So it consists of different kind of subjects like consulting skills, whole system thinking,
02:22and capstone, which basically moves your learning towards the strategy side.
02:27And you will be able to see the impact that any kind of decision holds on every domain of the
02:34organization.
02:35So this kind of holistic view, term three actually covers.
02:39Second is the experiential focus.
02:41So soil is basically known for its values.
02:44And there are multiple learning programs that has been initiated by soil.
02:49So few of them are like the social innovation program, Himalayan retreat, and self-leadership session as well.
02:57So all these experiences are to make you a better leader ethically and more compassionate towards other people.
03:04So the third is the industry focus.
03:06So in soil's PGPM program, most of the faculties come from an industry background.
03:11So they have worked in some of the companies or still working with some of the companies.
03:17And 90% of them, they taught us in the classes in the way that they give us some industry
03:22practical exposures and use cases,
03:25which really help us in terms of understanding what actually works in the industry.
03:28Apart from this, we also get to experience different guest lectures where multiple leaders come from different industries
03:36to teach us about the reality of the industry, like what is going on,
03:42what are the skills that are required so that, you know, we can actually upskill ourselves accordingly.
03:47So my best experience at soil would be venture lab, where I built an AI automation company,
03:54which is basically to automate the repetitive task of all these small businesses in India.
04:00So it was a great experience because we got to implement all those concepts and knowledge that we learned in
04:07classes
04:08and implement that out in the market.
04:12So we did the primary and the secondary research around the business that we thought of.
04:17So we have a presentation planned in front of the investors in the coming months.
04:22And hopefully we will be getting the funding.
04:25So I would say definitely it's going to be an intensive and demanding program for you.
04:30But it will give you a lot of exposure in terms of various learning curves that will come in
04:35and just give your best.
04:38And whatever the domain you want to enter in, it is going to give you a lot of opportunities.
04:43So make sure you crack them and you will be getting a lot of new opportunities.
04:49So just make sure you utilize them to your best.
