00:00Hi, my name is Kabesh. I'm 28 years old and I'm currently pursuing PGPM in marketing from Soil
00:06Institute of Management. I was previously working in Infosys as a senior system engineer. I used to
00:12work with Oracle Transportation Management Cloud and I've worked for around three years there.
00:17I had quit Infosys in 24 July. I was thinking of ways to enter the marketing domain. So I had
00:25started a venture called Marketing Mosaic. After that, I thought I need to enrich my skills in
00:34marketing. So I thought of joining the one year PGPM program at Soil. So I chose the one year PGPM at
00:40Soil because I wanted an accelerated program, which gave me a holistic knowledge, not only marketing,
00:46but also a bit of finance, analytics and HR. Additionally, the faculty in a one year program
00:52have not only academic excellence, but also they come with a lot of industry experience
00:58and their teachings are also more application based, like they teach a lot of case studies,
01:05live projects. This is comparatively lesser in a two year program. Also the kind of discussions
01:11you have with your peers here in a one year program is much richer as they come with a lot
01:17of industry experience. And also the knowledge sharing is a bit better than a two year PGPM program.
01:25So what I've learned at Soil is that firstly, there's a lot of industry exposure you get at Soil.
01:32There are case studies and guest lectures from industry experts. Also leadership connect, you get
01:40to connect or network with a lot of industry leaders. And you also get mentorship.
01:46From them and which helps you be aware about the key trends going on in the market.
01:52We learned about Gen AI in marketing from ex chief marketing officer at Aditya Pirla fashion.
01:58Then we learned about how analytics is shifting due to AI by Kapil sir, who is an associate director
02:05in Accenture. This really helped me during my placement preparation for Accenture. And then we had a session
02:11on channel distribution and brand penetration from Mr. Sudhanshu Pokriyal, who is the ex CEO of Hindware.
02:19My Accenture interview had two rounds. First round was a skills based interview. It went about for around 40 minutes
02:27in which I was asked about my past work experience, my skills in Excel, Power BI. And then I had a one hour
02:35interview, which was with the manager about the role, which was application outsourcing and mobilization.
02:42So I was fully prepared for the interview because of my career development sessions here. Also, we had a lot of mock interviews
02:50and group discussions amongst ourselves. So I feel that if you consistently attend these classes of CDS and work hard,
02:59you will be able to crack the interview easily. The second biggest learning at Soil was AI. We had a course on Gen AI
03:06and also on digital transformation. I feel that companies nowadays don't want people who use AI. They want people who can
03:13implement AI in their workforce. So Soil really puts a lot of effort in making sure that we learn AI and we are able to
03:20implement it at a large scale in organizations.
