00:00So we learned the five stages which involves empathy, design, ideate, prototype, and test.
00:20And our focus for the day was on empathy. During our session we learned how to use
00:25design thinking in a more detailed manner. Normally we do not use design thinking and that's why most of
00:32the ventures do not succeed and I think design thinking helps really to understand how the
00:38customers are behaving and to empathize with the customer. It was an interesting experience as I
00:44come from a design background so I had prior knowledge about design thinking as well but
00:50that was a theoretical knowledge. Here we are told about how you will understand your customer,
00:56how it will build relationship with your customer, how to know their needs,
01:00what they want actually rather than just throwing what you have to them.
01:06During the normal ideations we just ideate using our thinking but we were told to use empathy towards
01:26the customer and then ideate according to it. I think using empathy is kind of the need of the hour.
01:33you really need to resonate with the customer, really understand what the customer is feeling
01:37and when you understand those things it really helps out to create innovative solutions for the
01:42problem which the startup or the venture might be facing. You need to be innovative and it's not like
01:48businessmen they only think about the profit and all but we also need to think about what are users,
01:53like what are the customers looking for. You have to take a step to reach out to the customers for
01:59their needs, their reviews, feedbacks and then work upon it. I think for any managerial student,
02:06having that creative bent of mind that design thinking brings in is very essential so definitely
02:12I am excited for that.
