00:00My name is Rajeev Dubey. I have been on the advisory board of soil for many many years.
00:09I used to work with the Tatas for 29 years and then with the Mahindras for another 20 years.
00:15And I am a great subscriber to the philosophy and the view of the world that soil embraces.
00:24I think it's the combination of values and the competence. So you can say the combination of
00:33character and competence that soil brings to the table and the fact that it is led by purpose
00:42makes it stand out because a lot of the other educational institutions have not traditionally
00:48placed as much emphasis on purpose and values fueled competence creation as soil has done.
01:00That the potential of individuals and of ecosystems is far far greater than we can ever think of and
01:08a lot of the constraint is in our own mind. The starting point is to have a purpose and a big
01:15dream and then to create the conditions under which the full potential of people and ecosystems is
01:21unleashed and we should never underestimate that. So it is about having a purpose, it is about having
01:28a big dream and it is about working to create the conditions under which the potential of people
01:34and ecosystems is unleashed.
01:36I think the old command and control kind of leadership has certainly now taken a backseat
01:45and leadership now is about having a vision, about sharing that vision, co-creating answers,
01:53focusing on asking the right questions, on listening carefully, rather than the leader being the person
02:00who knows it all. I think there's the fundamental shift from being the person who knows it all to
02:06being the person who knows how to ask the right questions and then co-creates the answers and unleashes
02:12the potential of the ecosystem to achieving the purpose and the solutions that they have co-created.
