00:00And if you can identify what the part is,
00:02you can have it for your price.
00:04I never shy away from a challenge.
00:05Here you go, Mike.
00:06I told him I have a very rare part upstairs.
00:09What is it, Frankie?
00:10I consider myself to be an expert on bikes.
00:13But you know what?
00:13This is a freaking tough one.
00:16There's a guy by the name of Big Bad Jess.
00:18Ooh, I can smell the grease already.
00:20Jess has an amazing collection of automotive stuff.
00:23If this guy's so bad, should I be scared of it?
00:25Don't damage any of my stuff.
00:26All right.
00:27That's really cool.
00:28This was the one you wore, huh?
00:29Yeah, the late 70s.
00:31Hey, what's this?
00:32Another flying suit.
00:33It was unbelievable flying in the winter.
00:35Wow.
00:36This thing is incredible.
00:38It's leather.
00:38It's not dry rotted.
00:40It's not torn.
00:41It's in perfect condition.
00:42And the boots are there, too.
00:44This is what freestyling dreams are made of.
00:47I'm Mike Wolf.
00:48And I'm Frank Fretz.
00:50And we're Pickers.
00:52We travel the back roads of America
00:54looking to buy rusty gold.
00:58We make a living telling the history of America
01:01one piece at a time.
01:10This town looks ripe for a pick.
01:12We're in New England, the eastern seaboard, man.
01:15I mean, this is where everything was manufactured.
01:17This is it, buddy.
01:18We're freestyling in Massachusetts, man.
01:19If you're gonna pick old stuff,
01:21you gotta put yourself in an old place.
01:23Woo!
01:23I love these little towns, though.
01:24Everybody's so friendly.
01:25What's this look like?
01:27Uh-oh.
01:27Oh, look at that place.
01:28That looks good.
01:29All of a sudden, we see this really old car.
01:32Ooh.
01:32Trangy.
01:33Oh, yeah.
01:34This is the perfect opportunity to stop
01:36because that old car is parked in front of
01:38an old manufacturing building.
01:40These old buildings can house anything.
01:42Anything's possible.
01:44This place looks killer.
01:47I love old buildings, and I love New England.
01:49And when you put the two together,
01:51it's gotta be a great pick.
01:52Hello!
01:54We're right here.
01:55All right.
01:55Hey, hey.
01:56How you doing?
01:57Hi.
01:58You notice the car outside.
02:00Can I help you?
02:00At first glance, I'm seeing like a real hodgepodge
02:02of different items.
02:03There's a bunch of frames hanging from the ceiling.
02:05I see a gas pump, an old Indian sign.
02:07What do you guys do here?
02:08Are you selling anything here?
02:09It's actually an auto repair business.
02:10Okay.
02:11And my husband is a junk collector.
02:16Well, we love junk.
02:17Does he ever sell anything?
02:18Yeah.
02:19He buys and sells.
02:20This is when freestyling gets good.
02:22Is he around?
02:23Yes, he is.
02:24He's in his back shop working on an old car.
02:26Can we talk to him?
02:27Sure.
02:28So Fran tells us that her and her husband, Kevin,
02:30have been running this business for over 10 years.
02:32Hey, Kev.
02:33What?
02:34We got a couple of junk collectors here.
02:35Oh, my God.
02:35Frank, look at this.
02:36Oh, man.
02:38I told him I was totally amazed that there's other people
02:40in the world that want junk.
02:42Hey, I'm Mike.
02:44We don't have any junk.
02:45Oh, my God.
02:45We just walked through it all.
02:47Frank, how are you doing?
02:47Nice to meet you.
02:48Where did you get this?
02:50This guy's working on a farm fresh Chevy Roadster.
02:54This was hiding in a truck box.
02:56I've never seen one of these cars.
02:58I've seen them in books.
02:59I've seen pictures of them,
03:00but I've never actually had my hands on one.
03:02This is the kind of car that guys dream about.
03:05Is this something you'd sell?
03:06No.
03:06I've never seen another one.
03:08So you're not going to restore this, are you?
03:09No.
03:10I want it just the way it is.
03:11Yeah, you and I are cut from the same cloth, man.
03:13That's exactly the way I would leave it.
03:24Well, let me ask you this.
03:25Do you ever sell anything?
03:26Do you have anything you want to sell?
03:27I've got some stuff that I can sell.
03:28I mean, you might use the paint on this thing a little bit.
03:30Yeah.
03:30Can we take a look around?
03:31Yeah, let's go see what we can find.
03:33All right.
03:36Where do you guys want to start?
03:37What are you looking for?
03:38Is there anything in here that's a little bit unusual?
03:40Look at all this stuff here.
03:42This guy brought this thing in here the other day.
03:44So Kevin tells us he's running out of room
03:46and he wants to sell some stuff
03:47so he can make room for other things.
03:49Where'd you get all this junk?
03:51Somebody gave it.
03:51More brought in stuff.
03:53We definitely have differences on what's beautiful
03:56and what's not.
03:57Because I always think it's junk.
03:59There's a piston.
04:00Look at that thing.
04:01I have to prove to her that it's good
04:03before she'll understand that it's a treasure.
04:05What's that say?
04:07God bless America.
04:07That says God bless America.
04:09That's cool, man.
04:09That was nailed to the floor of a church in town here
04:14that they moved.
04:15It was in the middle of 1800 sometime.
04:17Would you sell that?
04:18I would.
04:19This sign is old and warm, but patriotic items like this
04:22never go out of style.
04:23What would you have to have for that?
04:25$250?
04:26That's pretty cool, man.
04:27If you look up Americana in the dictionary,
04:30it's going to have a picture of this sign.
04:32This is an amazing statement piece.
04:34How about two bills?
04:37You own it.
04:38I own it?
04:38You own it.
04:39Alright, I like this guy.
04:40There you go.
04:41Now that Mike broke the ice with Kevin,
04:43I see he's a seller.
04:44What's that?
04:45Look at that.
04:45It's a float to an airplane.
04:47We're both pilots, so...
04:49Oh, you are?
04:50We're big into airplane stuff.
04:52Kevin and I met.
04:53I was a student pilot taking flying lessons,
04:55and I met him at the airport.
04:57We are lucky to find each other.
04:59See anything, Frankie?
05:00No.
05:01There is a lot of stuff to look through here.
05:03Look at this, Frankie.
05:04Oh, my gosh.
05:05What's this?
05:06That's a battery tester.
05:08This guy had a great eye,
05:10and he bought quality stuff.
05:11Oh, look at that.
05:13Over in the corner,
05:14I see this really nice wood rim bike.
05:16The wood rims are very straight.
05:17It's got the original tires on it.
05:19You can tell it was probably made by Schwinn
05:21because it's got what they call a sweetheart sprocket.
05:23Tell me about the bike.
05:24That bike, my buddy wanted me to fix the tires on it,
05:27and I told him he was crazy.
05:29Yeah?
05:29And that he should leave that right here
05:31because it would be a lot more appreciated
05:33with people looking at it
05:34than you trying to fix it and ride it.
05:45The pedals are great,
05:47and the leather on the seat is still solid.
05:49It's perfect for an entry-level collector.
05:51Somebody that's looking for a wood rim bike.
05:53These things are extremely hard to find.
05:55I'd be a player at, uh...
05:57You'd be a player at $300?
05:58No.
05:59Whoa!
05:59No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
06:01I'd be a player at $200.
06:03$200.
06:04You know?
06:04I'd be a player at two bills.
06:05Never would have thought of it.
06:07Kevin knows he has a nice piece here,
06:09but $300?
06:10I can't pay that.
06:11So I'm at $250.
06:15So are you saying that if you had $250 to do the deal,
06:18you'd do that?
06:19$250 would work.
06:20All right.
06:21I'm your guy.
06:22All right, thanks.
06:23All right.
06:24There it is.
06:25This wood rim bike is beautiful.
06:27It's a great piece.
06:28I'm so happy to have it.
06:29Man!
06:33That's a gun case.
06:34That's an old gun case.
06:36Yeah.
06:36Sundays we usually go antiquing together,
06:38go to the antique shops and fish around,
06:40pick around, see what we can find.
06:42See what treasures we can find.
06:44It's his passion.
06:46We've got to give and take a little bit.
06:47Oh, that's neat.
06:48That's Bibb.
06:49What's his name, Bibb?
06:51He's the Michelin Man.
06:52This plastic Michelin Man.
06:54This would have hung on the wall in a tire store.
06:56Everybody wants these pieces in their man room
06:59because they've got the Michelin tires on their ride.
07:02They're going to want this guy representing.
07:04How much is Bibb?
07:06Bibb?
07:06I think Bibb...
07:09We've been buddies for a long time.
07:10When's the last time you guys hung out?
07:12You're starting to look like Bibb.
07:13Hey, yeah.
07:13That's pretty cool.
07:14Hang it up.
07:25How about $125?
07:27Whoa!
07:27You guys go way back.
07:28Where would you ever find another one?
07:29How about $50?
07:31Uh, how about $75?
07:32How about...
07:33Yeah.
07:34You're just throwing stuff at the wall to see if it sticks.
07:37Why don't you sell that stupid thing?
07:38No.
07:39I'll tell you what.
07:40$60.
07:41It's a piece of plastic.
07:43Come on!
07:44$60?
07:45Yeah.
07:46Done.
07:47All right.
07:48All right, Fran.
07:48I like Fran here.
07:50What about your sign here?
07:51I mean, it's kind of a sign.
07:53It's totally beat up.
07:54I mean, it looks like somebody took a bite out of it,
07:56but I love the graphics.
07:57How about $60 for that?
07:59Oh, no.
08:00I can go $60.
08:01I'd do $35.
08:03$35?
08:03How about $50?
08:05Yeah, I'm at $35.
08:06Ah.
08:08This is still a very collectible item,
08:09but with the condition, there's not much upside on the price.
08:12That's about my best on this.
08:14I mean, how much is this sign?
08:16Oh, boy.
08:16The Dodd sign.
08:17I looked at it when it first came here.
08:20I just got...
08:21I just...
08:21Hey, where'd you get all these signs?
08:23I don't remember you having all these...
08:24This one looked like they did a belly flop or something on it
08:26one time or something here.
08:27On signs, there's every different level of collector.
08:30I think it can be sold to a novice collector
08:32or intermediate collector.
08:33How about $125 for this,
08:35and I'll give you the $50 for that one.
08:37And then we're at $175.
08:41Uh-oh, I've seen that.
08:44$200 for the both.
08:46I'll flip you for it.
08:47I have no idea what Frankie's thinking.
08:49We've had a really bad record with coin tosses.
08:52You want me to call it?
08:53Yep.
08:53All right, I got to catch it.
08:54Heads.
08:55Ah, it's tails.
08:57I'll take heads.
08:58Tails.
08:58Sorry, Frankie.
08:59I think this time we should go with tails.
09:02Call it.
09:02Heads.
09:05Heads it is.
09:06Heads it is.
09:07Yes!
09:08$175.
09:08$175.
09:09All right.
09:10Will you get any other places for us to look?
09:12All right.
09:12Check this out.
09:13I got a bunch of stuff up here.
09:15This building's awesome, man.
09:16Yeah, it's a nice big building.
09:17Whoa!
09:18Oh, man.
09:19What's up with all these pilot's helmets?
09:20Where'd you get these at?
09:21A friend of mine had them.
09:23He was a World War II pilot.
09:25I see an old flight helmet, but right next to those, I see the leather skull caps, man.
09:30These are World War II vintage, and these are getting extremely hard to find.
09:34And usually, if you find one of these things, you can poke your finger through it, or if you pick
09:38it up, it turns to dust.
09:40These were in amazing condition.
09:42What era is this from?
09:43That's Korean War vintage.
09:44So what is this?
09:45That's a Russian tanker's winter helmet.
09:48Holy moly.
09:49And it has a headset built into it.
09:51What era is this from?
09:52I believe that's probably Korea.
09:54My tongue is slapping me in the forehead.
09:56This stuff is so cool, and it's all in one place.
10:07Would you sell any of these?
10:09I believe I would.
10:11World War II stuff and Korean War things are getting extremely expensive because people can relate to it.
10:16They had a grandfather.
10:17They had a relative.
10:19They can connect to it.
10:20If I sold it, I'd just give him the money.
10:22You know, it's stuff that, you know, he's never gonna do nothing, but he's 80 years old.
10:26He got it from the original owner.
10:28The guy used to fly, and he brought this stuff into Kevin because he wanted this stuff to live on.
10:34So he thought that Kevin could be the guy to make that connection.
10:38They gotta be worth 100 bucks a piece.
10:41Yeah.
10:41What about, uh, what about this one?
10:44That must be worth 100 bucks, too.
10:47All right.
10:47All this stuff right here, four bills.
10:51This is a really big bundle.
10:52I mean, to be able to buy all these together in intact, incredible.
10:58$450.
11:03How much is that?
11:04It's gotta be worth a nickel.
11:06What's a nickel?
11:06$500.
11:07When we first get to a pick, a lot of times people are playing hardball, man.
11:11We're trying to figure each other out.
11:13It's kind of cool, this high-compression spark plug thing.
11:15You know, it's kind of like folk art or whatever.
11:17It is.
11:18It's all hand-painted.
11:19This is a beautiful 1950s spark plug cleaning machine made by the AC company.
11:23That's the only one I've ever seen like it in my life.
11:29All this stuff right here, four bills.
11:33$450.
11:36Done.
11:36$450.
11:37All right.
11:39Not only do these guys have the goods, and they're pricing them to move.
11:42This is what freestyle and dreams are made of.
11:45Man, you got the load.
11:46I can't believe this.
11:47Kevin's got so much stuff that he's had to put the spillover and trailers out back.
11:51I can see why you want to sell a few things.
11:54Yeah.
11:54Just sent my trailers full.
11:56Jump on in there.
11:58Ugh.
11:58Don't get stuck.
12:00Ugh.
12:01These trailers are cramped, overstuffed.
12:04Whoa.
12:04Mike and I are in our element.
12:07I'm the mole man.
12:09Hey, what's this?
12:11Leather flying suit.
12:12Same dude.
12:13Oh, the same guy.
12:14Yeah.
12:14I'm staring at the flight suit of the guy that owned all the helmets that I just bought.
12:19This is his leather flying suit.
12:20That's his leather high altitude flying suit.
12:23No kidding.
12:23This thing is incredible.
12:25It's leather.
12:26It's not dry rotted.
12:27It's not torn.
12:28It's in perfect condition.
12:30And that's heated.
12:30And he says it was unbelievable for flying in the winter.
12:33Wow.
12:34This is awesome.
12:45So what year would this be from then?
12:47I would say anywhere between 1940 and 1960.
12:50This is an amazing piece because he has the history and the suit's not just there.
12:55The boots are there too.
12:56How perfect is that?
12:58Are you going to sell this?
13:00Absolutely.
13:01Absolutely.
13:02How much do you want for it?
13:04Much as I can get.
13:05This flight suit is amazing.
13:07I mean, the condition is unbelievable, especially since it's been stored outside in a trailer.
13:11It's got to be worth 300 bucks.
13:13It's a killer, man.
13:14I don't think you'll ever find another one.
13:16So it's 300 bucks with the boots?
13:18Comes with the boots.
13:19And the fact that this survived as a set is amazing.
13:23Kevin, how about 250 on it?
13:25Geez, I thought it was a bargain at three.
13:27I can't believe this.
13:28We already have the helmets that belong to this pilot.
13:30We've got to have this suit.
13:32Um, I know if I saw it hanging on a rack somewhere for 300 bucks, I would have grabbed
13:36it in a second.
13:39Why don't we meet in the middle?
13:41275.
13:42All right.
13:42Awesome.
13:43This is an unbelievable find.
13:45I can't believe we're bringing this piece of aviation history back to Iowa.
13:49Oh, I love that.
13:50I paid 275 for the high-altitude flight suit and boots.
13:54I'm going to have it appraised.
13:58I bought the Korean War helmets and the World War II skull caps for $450.
14:02I think I'm going to have him appraised.
14:07Michelin man's going to a new home in Iowa.
14:09I paid $60 for the Michelin man.
14:12I'm going to ask $130.
14:15Thanks so much.
14:16It's nice to meet you.
14:17You're driving a hard bargain, my friend.
14:18Thanks.
14:19You're a good picker.
14:20Fran and Kevin were great.
14:22They let us look around.
14:23They had some amazing stuff.
14:24Hopefully, it sets a tone for the rest of the trip.
14:26Would you mind if we ever stopped back?
14:28Come on back.
14:28Mike and Frank found some stuff that they had never seen before,
14:32and I got some money that I can buy more stuff with, so.
14:36All right, Kevin.
14:37See you guys.
14:38Bye.
14:39Keep it up.
14:49Yeah, I know.
14:50I understand that.
14:51But, I mean, you've got to realize where I'm coming from, too.
14:54Yeah, well, you know, I can't be that person sometimes.
14:58All right.
15:00Being a picker is awesome,
15:02except for when it comes to the relationship part.
15:04What?
15:06Whatever.
15:06I got to go.
15:07Bye.
15:08Is that Danielle?
15:09No, Danielle.
15:10This is my girl.
15:10I haven't seen this girlfriend.
15:12I mean, she's, like, coming down on me all the time.
15:13She's like, it's like, I have, one, I have selective memory.
15:16I don't remember things.
15:17Okay.
15:18I agree with her there.
15:19I have selective hearing.
15:20I only hear what I want to hear.
15:21Sounds like she knows you pretty well.
15:23A constant conversation in the van is Frankie's lady situation.
15:26I'm always trying to give him advice, but the guy, he won't listen.
15:29All you ever say is building bridges.
15:31Build a bridge.
15:32Well, you got to have the bridge to have the relationship.
15:35I got the bridge, but she's trying to put the cover over it.
15:36Listen to me.
15:37You can't even breathe.
15:38I can't see out this side.
15:40Okay, see this?
15:41Have you ever heard of Dr. Kate Walks?
15:42No.
15:42All right, she's hot.
15:44I don't know who Dr. Laura is.
15:45She's smoking hot.
15:46She's smoking hot.
15:46She wrote that book, Relationship for Dummies.
15:48You need to go to chapter three, Is It a Match?
15:51Of course Mike has an answer for everything.
15:54It says right here, express your feelings assertively.
15:57All right, we'll call Steak and Shake Girl and tell her how much you love her.
16:07You know what, Frank?
16:08What?
16:08I think you're looking good.
16:10You're looking good today.
16:11Look at the blue, blue.
16:12I know.
16:12I see that.
16:13You're really color-coordinated.
16:14Hello.
16:15Hey, what's Shaken Sugar?
16:16Do you think that I'm a sharp dresser?
16:18Do I think you're a sharp dresser?
16:20Be honest.
16:21Yeah.
16:21I think I can work with you on that, though.
16:24So, I thought you played ZZ Top that one time and said I was a sharp-dressed man.
16:28No, actually, she said you look like a wax figure of Dom Deluise slash Steven Seagal.
16:34You know what?
16:35I don't mind being called Steven Seagal because he's bad and I'm bad.
16:39Oh, I have something way badder than you or Steven Seagal.
16:42Bring it on.
16:42What do you got?
16:43We're having a good day.
16:44Don't ruin it for us.
16:45There's a guy by the name of Big Bad Jess.
16:47Big Bad Jess.
16:48Big Bad Jess.
16:49All right.
16:50What's he about?
16:50He used to be a race car driver.
16:52Total gearhead.
16:53Like, big-time automotive collector.
16:55Antique archaeology loves a gearhead.
16:57We breathe, eat, drink oil.
16:59Yeah, Frankie's got 10W-30 running through his veins.
17:02He's ready to sound.
17:03He sounds like our kind of guy.
17:04If this guy's so bad, should I be scared of him?
17:06I don't know if you should be, like, scared, scared.
17:09Well, maybe he's like you, Frank.
17:10Your bark's worse than your bites.
17:11I was gonna say, nobody's as bad as me or Michael Jackson.
17:14All right.
17:14All right, well, send us a coordinates.
17:16We'll let you know how this guy works out.
17:17See you later.
17:19Bye.
17:19Bye.
17:20Bad Jess.
17:20Bad Jess.
17:25This looks like a place.
17:26This is killer.
17:27Love it, love it.
17:29Man, he's waiting for us.
17:30He's ready to sell.
17:31Dive in, baby.
17:32All right, waist deep.
17:33How you doing?
17:34Okay.
17:34You bad, Jess?
17:35Yeah, it's me.
17:36Say, what are you doing?
17:37Let me hit you with this.
17:38I know you talked to Danielle on the phone, but this is just a smorgasbord of the kind
17:42of stuff we buy.
17:43She said you've been collecting for a while.
17:45A couple weeks, I was starting to like that.
17:46A couple weeks?
17:47I see this probably didn't happen overnight, huh?
17:49I'm not right.
17:50Can we look around a little bit?
17:51Sounds good to me.
17:52All right.
17:52They called me Bad Jess.
17:53They got hung on me in junior high.
17:55I wasn't the greatest student.
17:57They just stuck and been with me all my life.
18:00Ooh, I can smell the grease already.
18:02Don't damage any of my stuff.
18:03All right.
18:07Man, this is killer stuff, Frankie.
18:09Got some Cadillac stuff going on.
18:11Cooperville.
18:12This is the kind of place we love.
18:13Mobile oil can.
18:14That's a lot of cars that we picked up for junkies.
18:17Oh, that's cool.
18:18He's got oil cans hanging from the ceiling.
18:20He's got sides.
18:21He's got smalls.
18:23He's got larges.
18:24So you've been collecting for a long time, it looks like.
18:26Yeah.
18:26Like a junkie.
18:27You never get too much of it.
18:28I know, man.
18:29It never leaves you.
18:30Jess has an amazing collection of automotive stuff.
18:34That diamond gas, that's the one the fronds used to have.
18:37Hey!
18:38That's the fronds?
18:38Yeah, that's the gas station you work for.
18:41Bad Jess's advertising collection is one of the best we've seen in a world.
18:44For a while.
18:45What's this international?
18:46What's it say?
18:46International what?
18:47International Motor Trucks.
18:49There's big trucks, like Freightliners, Sales and Service.
18:51How much is this sign up here?
18:54Eh, 135.
18:57Looks like it's porcelain.
18:59It's got some damage around the quarters.
19:01Any time I come across a sign of this size, and I've never seen it before, I'm interested.
19:05About 125.
19:10Buck and a half will split it.
19:11Buck and a half will split it.
19:13Buck and a half will split it.
19:15I'm gonna break the ice.
19:17I'll take it.
19:18I can sell this sign to people who are into, like, porcelain signs, transportation, or trucking.
19:22This one here is about the oldest one I got.
19:25Yeah.
19:25A Whippet.
19:26I've had it for, oh, 25, maybe 30 years.
19:30I know how rare these are.
19:31They only made Whippet automobiles for five years, 1926 to 1931.
19:45How much is that?
19:46It's gotta be worth a nickel.
19:48What's a nickel?
19:49500.
19:49500?
19:50I hung around car dealers all my life.
19:52That's why I picked all that out there.
19:53Oh, yeah, a nickel.
19:54When we first get to a pick, a lot of times people are playing hardball, man.
19:57We're trying to figure each other out.
19:58500?
19:59Yeah.
20:00I think that's probably retail on it.
20:02It's nice, though.
20:03I hope that's a jumping-off point for him, because I'm gonna go back and ask him about
20:06it later.
20:08Where'd you get this at?
20:09Yard sale.
20:10This is an oil can.
20:11Right.
20:12And then this is a hood worn off of a car.
20:14This ashtray is a one-of-a-kind piece of automotive folk art.
20:17How much?
20:18It's a rare piece.
20:20We used to have parties in this building.
20:22It was that clean.
20:23And we used to restore a car every year.
20:25In here?
20:26Yeah.
20:26But then I lost my wife, and then after that, it just started piling up, you know?
20:32We see this a lot in our business.
20:33Guys have a big change in their lives, and they let things get away from them.
20:37Is there a reason why you did decide to start selling a few things?
20:39I didn't want to go on a big diet.
20:42A little bit.
20:43I gotcha.
20:44You don't want to break off too much too fast.
20:46We're always happy to help him clear some stuff out.
20:48He does have a motorcycle that's covered here.
20:51It's a $74,750.
20:52It's a $74,750.
20:53$74,750.
20:55How much for that mail pouch tobacco thermometer?
20:58Is it working?
20:59Yeah.
20:59What are you thinking on that, Uncle Jess?
21:01Like a dollar a degree?
21:02A dollar a degree would be about 51 bucks.
21:05You got me one of the short hairs, I'll let you slide on that one.
21:08All right, buddy.
21:08Come here.
21:09I'll show you guys my office here.
21:14Oh, wow.
21:17This is it right here.
21:18This is suit.
21:19That's cool.
21:19That's really cool.
21:20This was the one you wore, huh?
21:22Yeah.
21:22The late 70s, it probably was.
21:23What were some of the biggest races you won?
21:25Well, the season I won that big trophy over there.
21:28That was for Toledo Speedway.
21:29This is your championship?
21:31This is his racing trophies, his racing gear.
21:34I mean, this is 30, 40, who knows, maybe 50 years of a guy collecting.
21:38He's got a lot of smalls to look through, Frankie.
21:40I know.
21:41I'm looking at them all.
21:43This is pretty neat.
21:45Ajax auto radio, and it looks like it clamped on the steering column.
21:48On the steering column, exactly.
21:49This is a piece from one of the earliest car radios from the late 20s to the early 30s.
21:53It was actually a controller for a large tube radio that was located somewhere else in the car.
22:07It's missing one of the knobs, and this would have been on or off switch for it.
22:11Yeah.
22:11It's a cool piece, but it's not all there.
22:13Is this something you'd consider selling?
22:15It depends on what you want to give me for it.
22:16Um, how about, uh, I'd do 50 bucks.
22:23All right, I'll share it.
22:2450 bucks?
22:25Okay, 50 bucks.
22:26It's kind of cool.
22:26It's an incredible find.
22:27I had to have it.
22:29There's a lot to look at.
22:31I like that lighter display.
22:34Hey, Jess, what about this oil can?
22:36It's got a tree on it.
22:38It's different, all right.
22:39Sturdy wasn't a big company, so this is a rare oil can.
22:42It's in great condition, and I love the graphics.
22:45What do you have out of it?
22:46Some good money.
22:47Good money?
22:48What's, what's, what's good money?
22:4935 bucks?
22:52Why don't you make it a half?
22:53It's a nice can.
22:54It's not beat up.
22:55We're pickers.
22:56Yeah.
22:56And we're trying to resell.
22:5835?
22:5940.
23:00You guys are wrestling like a couple puppies in a blanket.
23:04I'll take it for 40.
23:06It's a cool can.
23:07I love it.
23:09All right, it's porcelain.
23:12Jersey Creamery of Detroit.
23:15Boy, you can tell that's a real old bottle.
23:17Yeah, are they still in business?
23:18No.
23:19How much for the Jersey bottle?
23:20Give you a break, a dime.
23:22A dime?
23:2210 bucks.
23:23Oh, no, I wouldn't do that.
23:24How about both for a nickel?
23:26You're bending me.
23:27I'm bending you?
23:28Yeah, I'm bending about halfway over.
23:29Are you about ready to break?
23:30I'm getting close.
23:32When bad Jess is wheeling and dealing, he's in his element.
23:35I'm just trying to keep up with this guy and speak his language.
23:38I'm holding tight on a nickel.
23:39Hey, you're going to put your roses that your girlfriend gives you in them?
23:44Hell, yeah.
23:46He's never been that nice.
23:47I just like this Jersey Creamery of Detroit.
23:50We'll do it for her sake.
23:51We'll let you have it for a nickel.
23:53All right, cool.
23:54All right, Frankie.
23:55One nickel.
23:56You got it.
23:56Remember, this is going to be hard to add up at the end because he's talking nickels,
23:59he's talking dimes.
24:01Oh.
24:02Perkin' engines.
24:03Perkin' engines.
24:05Ooh!
24:06Oh!
24:06She's hot.
24:07Oh, yeah.
24:09Where'd you get this at?
24:10Yard sale.
24:11This ashtray is a one-of-a-kind piece of automotive folk art.
24:14Do you know what trench art is?
24:16No.
24:16Trench art was made by a lot of the military servicemen during the war, and they made things
24:20out of just the things that they had at hand.
24:22You know, it might be a piece of an airplane, it could be a shell casing.
24:25This gets, like, mechanics art.
24:28This is an oil can.
24:29Right.
24:30And then this is a hood worn man off of a car.
24:32These are brink lines.
24:33Yeah.
24:34This is a piece of automotive folk art that was probably made by a mechanic with things
24:38that were just laying around his shop.
24:40How much?
24:40Yeah.
24:4250 bucks sound right.
24:4350 bucks.
24:44So where a piece?
24:46How about 40 bucks?
24:4945.
24:51All right, 45.
24:52All right.
24:53Jess has been true to his word about letting things go, and there's one item here I've
24:57wanted since we arrived.
24:58All right, Jess.
25:00You said you were at a nickel on the Whippet Willie's night sign.
25:03No.
25:03It's a rare sign.
25:04I can see that.
25:06You know, um, you got change for a nickel?
25:09How about half?
25:11250.
25:12That's too low.
25:12That's too low.
25:12This is a large sign.
25:13It hung in a dealership.
25:14It's early.
25:15It's got a wood frame on it, and I gotta have this thing.
25:18I'll take four.
25:19I gotta hold dinner, because it's worth that kind of money.
25:21Four bills.
25:23Yeah.
25:23You ain't gonna find another one.
25:26I'm at 375.
25:28I gotta stay tight on the floor on that.
25:29You're not gonna find it down the street somewhere.
25:32Oh, I know.
25:32Hey, you got 400 bucks in your pocket.
25:34Yeah.
25:35And you want one.
25:36Where are you gonna get it?
25:37Yeah.
25:37You're gonna get it right here.
25:38You don't go to your local Kmart store.
25:40That's right.
25:40I'll take it for 400 bucks.
25:42All right.
25:42All right, it's cool, man.
25:43I appreciate you working with me a little bit.
25:45Love it.
25:46It isn't often that I have this much fun negotiating with somebody, but you know what?
25:50That's exactly who Bad Jess is.
25:52I paid $400 for a really cool Whippet sign.
25:56I'm gonna ask for 800.
25:58You had to have it, didn't you?
26:00Oh, yeah.
26:00A car person over here.
26:02I love it.
26:02I bought the mechanic.
26:04A car piece for $40.
26:05I'm gonna ask $100.
26:07I think this will clean up.
26:09This is heavy, boy.
26:10I bought the sign for $150.
26:11I think I can at least double my money.
26:15Bad Jess is the kind of guy, you know, if we're in this area again, we could stop in
26:18and see one more time.
26:20All right, my friend.
26:22Thanks for not kicking our butts too hard.
26:24Had a lot of fun with them.
26:25It was nice dealing with them.
26:26We love climbing through the stuff, and you had plenty of stuff to climb through.
26:29Appreciate it.
26:30And it gave me some vacant spots to put something new up, too.
26:33All right, Jess.
26:34Take care.
26:34Thanks, my friend.
26:43I'll tell you what.
26:44Since I've been reading this book, I've read the whole thing.
26:47You did?
26:48Yeah, and I think it's gonna help me.
26:49Are you saying that you're not perfect?
26:51Here's what I'm saying.
26:52I'm saying there's some room for improvement for me.
26:54But you know what?
26:55I also noticed there's a few little phrases in here, too, that might pertain to you.
26:59I'm not in a relationship with you.
27:01The book is starting to backfire on me.
27:04He starts applying it to our friendship.
27:06Here's the deal.
27:06It's between you and steak and shake, girl.
27:09I have nothing to do with your relationship.
27:11Hey, Mike could learn something from this book, too.
27:13Here's one thing I thought we could touch on.
27:16Summarize your agreements and reward each other before and ending after the conversation.
27:20All right, reward me.
27:21Give me one of those free strawberry milkshakes your woman gives you.
27:23I will.
27:23I'll get you a whole pack.
27:25You can catch, believe me, you can catch more bees of honey than you can vinegar.
27:29Let's remember that.
27:41Daniel found a guy named Lon.
27:43He's been collecting World War II stuff, and he's an expert in the field.
27:46We're gonna go check him out.
27:47You got yours, Frankie?
27:48Yep.
27:49All right.
27:49So I was able to buy this flight suit, and I got the original boots with it.
27:52I'm really excited to see how much it's worth.
27:54Come on upstairs, guys.
27:55We got a spot to show this up here.
27:57All right.
27:57My name is Lon Rice.
27:59I am a retired U.S. Air Force Master Sergeant.
28:02When my father was in the Air Force, I've had family that were in the Revolutionary War.
28:06So in the collecting realm, that's what got me interested.
28:09Why don't you set it right back here?
28:10Okay.
28:10Okay.
28:10The suit and the accessories have the same guy's name written on all of it.
28:13So I was really excited to show Lon that we have the full package.
28:16As we can see here on the label, it's a CFN 24.
28:20Well, he was a Navy pilot.
28:22Yeah, what do you think?
28:23This is pretty rare stuff.
28:26You don't see it very often.
28:27I was impressed.
28:28I've been a history buff since a young boy.
28:30So this excites me when I see anything in this realm.
28:34Right at the beginning of World War II, we had aircraft that were flying pretty high altitudes.
28:38It got down to zero degrees, and some of these guys were in the back shooting fire machine guns.
28:42So this is an electric heated suit.
28:45You plug the suit into the console of the aircraft or a battery, and it works just like an electric
28:51blanket.
28:51These are actually an early model boot.
28:54They do not have the straps that go around the side.
28:56If these guys bailed out of an aircraft, a lot of times these boots came off.
29:00When they hit the ripcord, when they shoot open, boom, off goes the boots.
29:05Okay.
29:05So later on, they put straps around.
29:07So these are actually an early model.
29:09Oh, okay.
29:09I love these, man.
29:11Yeah.
29:11Leather skull caps.
29:12I got three different ones, and I think they're all in pretty good condition.
29:15I mean, this one's got a lot of mold, a lot of dirt, but I think it would still clean
29:18up pretty good.
29:18That's not a problem.
29:19Whenever I spot one of these skull caps, I buy it.
29:22That's probably a 20s helmet, probably.
29:24That's a German World War II helmet.
29:26That's a good item right there.
29:27You don't see those for sale anymore much.
29:29It fits good.
29:30This is from a different time period, but again, it was from the same gentleman.
29:35Okay.
29:35That's the Korean flight helmet.
29:36He was a pilot through World War II, and then up through Korea, and possibly on past that.
29:42It has all the good stuff on it.
29:44It's got his name on it.
29:45It's got the lightning bolts, Squadron VS-31.
29:48Yeah.
29:48I think this is a phenomenal helmet.
30:00What kind of value would you put on the whole collection?
30:03Okay.
30:03If I was to value this to sell, I would say probably $2,000.
30:10All right.
30:10We're looking good.
30:11Man, that's awesome.
30:17All right.
30:17Thank you so much.
30:18Thanks, Lon.
30:19Appreciate it.
30:19Thanks, guys.
30:20As far as U.S. history goes, this is the primo stuff.
30:23It's something you don't get to see very often, and I thought, wow, they had a great find there.
30:30Genuine shatterproof goggles.
30:32New in the box is like every collector's dream.
30:35Clear vision, best eye protection.
30:37Anything with the Harley Davidson logo is collectible, but if you can find the vintage stuff,
30:42that can be big money.
30:46Here's one thing I thought we could touch on.
30:48What?
30:48Give supportive statements and positive reinforcement.
30:51I do that every day.
30:53No, you don't.
30:54This is one that I really think we need to work on.
30:56Agree to disagree and set a date to discuss the issue at another time.
31:01Well, then let's do it.
31:02All right.
31:03Catch me same time next year on discussing that.
31:07Here's another one.
31:08Discuss possible compromises.
31:09It's just like, you know, if I want to go somewhere and you're like, I'm absolutely not going there, just
31:14try it once.
31:15Here's another one.
31:16You and I are not in a committed relationship, weirdo.
31:18We are when we're in the van for 24 hours a day.
31:20Catch me same time next year on discussing that.
31:31Who's calling?
31:32It's your grandma.
31:33It's Danny.
31:34Hey, Danny, what's up?
31:35I got a lead for you.
31:36What's the lead?
31:37Jim and Kathy.
31:39Awesome super couple.
31:40Jim is really excited about automotive stuff.
31:43Jim's just been collecting for a real long time.
31:45She said he's into motorcycles, advertising.
31:47I mean, this guy could have some great stuff.
31:49All right.
31:50We're on it.
31:51All right.
31:52Talk to you soon.
31:53All right, bye.
31:54Usually when me and Frankie are out picking, we're out in the country, man.
31:57We're out on the back roads.
31:58This guy's supposed to live right in town.
32:00Mike, here's this.
32:01Wow, this doesn't look like a pick.
32:02This place looks full on.
32:04Leave it to Beaver.
32:05It's not the kind of place we usually pick.
32:09Here, handle it.
32:10It can be pretty sketch when you go to someone's front door and you knock on it.
32:13You never know who's going to behind it.
32:15Hello.
32:16Hi.
32:16Jim around?
32:18Yeah, hang on one second.
32:19You never know what you're going to come across.
32:21You never know what sort of situation you're going to encounter.
32:25Hey, Jim.
32:25What's up, man?
32:26Hey, how you doing?
32:27I'm Mike.
32:27Nice to meet you.
32:28My name's Frank.
32:29How you doing, Frank?
32:29You talked to Danielle on the phone?
32:31Right.
32:31Danielle said you were wanting to relieve some pressure from the big barn you had.
32:35Right.
32:35I sell Harley Davidsons and Indians for a living, and I'm a collector.
32:39All right, show us around.
32:40Come to the barn.
32:41All right.
32:42When I was in sixth grade, I borrowed $100 from my father.
32:45I started buying Honda 50s, Harley Hummers, whatever.
32:49Made a lot of parents around here angry because their kids got on bikes at such an early age,
32:54you know.
32:55Yeah, it was a bad influence.
32:57Oh, my God, look at this barn.
32:58Oh, yeah.
32:59Wow, this is huge.
33:00The barn was built in 1955, and there's two floors.
33:04Probably the top floor you'd be more interested in, but there's still treasures on the lower
33:08floor.
33:08Okay.
33:10Oh, man.
33:12Whew.
33:12Okay.
33:13All right, this is why we're here.
33:15So you've been setting stuff up here for a long time.
33:18I've been in this barn about 10 years.
33:2010 years.
33:2025 years ago, I had a vision for this barn, and about 10 years ago, I got the property,
33:26and this is what I've done.
33:27I didn't expect to see this kind of stuff when I pulled into this place.
33:31He's got a ton of smalls.
33:32He's got a lot of signs.
33:33He's got a lot of memorabilia.
33:34It's gonna be a good pick.
33:36What year are these goggles, do you think?
33:38They're back there always.
33:39We've got the Harley logo on them.
33:40Anything with the Harley Davidson logo is collectible.
33:43So these would have been the glasses that went in that original thing that you had over
33:47there?
33:48Yep.
33:48I believe there's still a pair in that.
33:51Safety glasses.
33:52You got them brand new in the box?
33:53Yeah.
33:53These?
33:54Yep.
33:54New in the box is like every collector's dream.
33:57They came right from Shorts Harley Davidson.
33:59It was in business since 1924.
34:01How much are those?
34:02What's his name?
34:0640 bucks.
34:07How much are they in the box?
34:08Probably 100.
34:09Can I see the ones in the box?
34:10Yeah.
34:11He had what we call NOS, and that's called new old stock stuff.
34:14That stuff is so hard to find.
34:15Genuine shatterproof goggles.
34:18Clear vision, best eye protection.
34:21Let me see here.
34:22How long have you had these?
34:23I've had them probably 20 years.
34:25The original price is on the box, $3.50.
34:27So what, are you looking to double your money here, or what?
34:31I think 100 is fair in those, with the box.
34:34They are, like, brand new.
34:35What year do you think these are?
34:36Oh, boy.
34:37I would say 30s.
34:39In 1982, Harley became a monster brand.
34:42They started slapping their logo on everything from koozies to underwear.
34:46But if you can find the vintage stuff with the HD logo, that can be big money.
34:52All right.
34:53100 bucks.
34:54You know what?
34:54They're going to a good home.
34:55These are going to my collection.
34:57All right, Frank, I broke the ice.
34:59I love these old helmets.
35:00The thing is with these old helmets, the leather dry rotted on them.
35:06I mean, like the coat I got on, you know what I'm saying?
35:08It's just got to be soft enough to where you can still wear it.
35:10They've got the Harley logo.
35:12That's awesome.
35:13It's got the HD logo.
35:14That's collectible in itself.
35:16But this is also early American racing memorabilia.
35:19That's priceless.
35:20They're always super small, too.
35:23Let me try this one.
35:26No way.
35:29It fits me.
35:31These early helmets have a fiberglass shell, and they have leather ear flaps.
35:35This type of safety gear would never cut it today.
35:37But these things are stone cold cool.
35:40How much is this?
35:4250 bucks.
35:44I should have asked you before I showed you it fit me.
35:47Do you have a story behind it?
35:48It belonged to a friend of mine's grandfather.
35:50So this is a local piece.
35:52Right.
35:52That's awesome.
35:53You know what?
35:54I'm not even going to haggle with you on the price.
35:5650 bucks.
35:57It's always hard to find these with the leather intact, and then also it fits me, which is incredible.
36:01I love this, man.
36:02I can sell this Harley helmet as a set with the goggles, but I want to wear this stuff when
36:07I'm kicking it on my 37 knuckle.
36:09Oh, this is cool.
36:10What is this stuff?
36:11Is this buco?
36:12Accessories.
36:12Yeah.
36:14Look at that.
36:15That's a cool picture.
36:17How do you get your stuff?
36:18I mean, you go to flea markets, word of mouth, people bring it in to you.
36:22All of the above.
36:22All of the above.
36:23Tell us this now.
36:24I mean, you've been collecting for this long.
36:25Why are you finally letting go of some stuff?
36:27That's a good question.
36:28After a while, if you keep on collecting, you're going to run out of money or run out of space.
36:32So sooner or later, you've got to let some things go, whether you want to or not.
36:36See this here?
36:37This is a 1961 Lewis Marx.
36:40Yeah.
36:40It's called the Big Lou.
36:49Doesn't his hands shoot off?
36:50Right.
36:50It's just a rare piece.
36:51It's plastic, and plastic didn't survive.
36:53It didn't survive.
36:54There's a metal one here.
36:55Right.
36:56Next to the Big Lou, I see this amazing 1960s tin robot.
36:59This was manufactured by a famous toy company in Japan called Horikawa.
37:04What do you value this at?
37:05A hundred bucks.
37:06A hundred bucks.
37:07Think it works?
37:08I like that.
37:09He's been on vacation for a few years.
37:12So I'm not sure if he's ready to work.
37:13Right.
37:13He probably doesn't.
37:14I'd do about 60 on this.
37:16I mean, if I had it.
37:1860 is a little bit light.
37:19A little bit light on it.
37:20All right.
37:20Let me look around.
37:21Right.
37:21This thing is super cool, but $60 is my ceiling.
37:24Mike, you need another Easy Rider helmet?
37:28Lots of little stuff to look at.
37:30I like this.
37:30Oh, yeah.
37:32You got a good eye.
37:33You've got some good stuff here.
37:34It's kind of cool, this high compression spark plug thing.
37:37The bottom's wood.
37:38This is AC, and then it says Leonard spark plugs on the side.
37:41This is a beautiful 1950s spark plug cleaning machine made by the AC company.
37:46It has a wooden base I've never seen before.
37:48Maybe somebody made that bottom?
37:50That's the only one I've ever seen like it in my life.
37:53But I would sell it.
37:55It's like somebody made the bottom part for it.
37:56You know, it's kind of like folk art or whatever.
37:58It is.
37:59It's all hand painted.
38:00You have a couple of different categories.
38:01For one thing, it's a spark plug cleaner.
38:03The second thing, the bottom, is there's a lot of folk art, the painting and everything
38:08like that.
38:08And then the third thing, it's full of old spark plugs inside of it.
38:11Some of those are quite collectible to a lot of people.
38:13What's your price on this?
38:15I really don't want to do better than two on that.
38:18I like that better than some things.
38:20This is something that you kind of like?
38:22Yeah.
38:24How about if I give you 250?
38:27That'd be the full 200 on this, $50 on that robot toy I picked up.
38:35The full 200 on this, $50 on that robot toy I picked up.
38:43Yeah, I guess so.
38:44You got it, buddy.
38:46Thanks.
38:46Sweet!
38:47I think $50 is very fair that I sold Frank that robot for.
38:51Very fair price.
38:52All right, now we're down to the bigger collections.
38:54Farm fresh.
38:56Lovely grill.
38:56This is real power.
38:58Ooh, nice Camaro.
38:59What motors in this?
39:00This has got a 350 Chevy.
39:0160 Corvette, 283, four speed.
39:04Wow.
39:05What's this, your repair shop over here?
39:06Yep.
39:07Ooh, what's this?
39:091910 Pierce Aero grease, over 100 years old.
39:12Whoa!
39:13Look at the lady driving the car, too.
39:15Mm-hmm.
39:15The graphics are better on this side.
39:17That's a cool can here.
39:18Do you use the grease?
39:19Nope.
39:20No, they don't.
39:21I don't even know if it's easy to use it, I bet.
39:23That thing hasn't even been opened for 100 years, not coming off.
39:25Whatever, I don't need it opened up.
39:27The 1910 Pierce Aero grease can has been at a farm about 11 miles from here for decades,
39:34I would imagine.
39:35It's a 150-year-old farm.
39:36Jim, how about 100 on it?
39:38I like it.
39:38It's got some great graphics.
39:39I like the story on it.
39:41It's great.
39:42Grease is grease.
39:42Oil's a little bit better than grease, we know that, but still, it's a great piece.
39:46How about 100 and a quarter?
39:48A buck 25, it's a great can.
39:51I mean, the fact that it's never been opened for 100 years, that definitely increases the
39:54value.
39:55I'll split it with you.
39:56Okay.
39:56100 and a quarter.
39:57For an automobile collector that's looking for a real unusual item, this could be the
40:01centerpiece of his collection.
40:03What's up?
40:03You got a JD frame over here?
40:05Where'd you find this?
40:06That was actually buried underneath a bunch of Model A parts behind the farm.
40:11It was fresh picked.
40:12Fresh picked.
40:15Early Harley motors are extremely collectible, and the best way to display them is in the
40:20frame itself.
40:20This is definitely a wall hanger.
40:22It's a really, really nice item.
40:24It's an unusual item.
40:26I absolutely love it.
40:27200.
40:27And I'd go 100 on the frame.
40:31Almost there.
40:31You're almost there.
40:33So right in the middle of a negotiation, Jim's wife Kathy materializes out of thin air.
40:38What do you think?
40:39I think you need to take it home.
40:42Maybe you can use it.
40:43It's basically, it's a motor stand.
40:44Let's do 150 on the frame.
40:47Mike and I were negotiating on the JD frame.
40:50He wanted to pay considerably less than what I really wanted for it.
40:53I'm at 100.
40:55Yeah.
40:55I told him I have a very rare part upstairs, and if you can identify what the part is,
41:00you can have it for your price.
41:02So if I can identify what the part is, I can have that for 100?
41:05Yep.
41:06All right, let's do it.
41:07Go look at it.
41:07What the hell?
41:08You ain't got nothing to lose.
41:10I never shy away from a challenge.
41:12It keeps things interesting, and it keeps me on my toes.
41:15Here you go, Mike.
41:16If you can identify that part.
41:18Is it car or motorcycle?
41:19Motorcycle.
41:20I consider myself to be an expert on bikes, but you know what?
41:23This is a freaking tough one.
41:25I want to say it's a main gear, you know.
41:28It's a full team effort here.
41:30We need to stay focused to pull this thing off.
41:33What is it, Frankie?
41:34This is a reverse gear.
41:36Oh, for a three-wheeled knucklehead tri-car?
41:39Yeah, this is a reverse gear.
41:40That's what it is.
41:42Boom.
41:42There's only six made in the world.
41:45I was really surprised that they guessed what it was.
41:47I couldn't believe it.
41:48It's a hundred?
41:49I was shocked.
41:51Yeah.
41:54That's awesome for us.
41:57This place was stacked.
41:58Jim was extremely passionate about his collection,
42:00and that's always really cool.
42:02Can you believe I got that?
42:04This section of a Harley JD frame cost me $100.
42:07I'm gonna ask $250.
42:09Take care of the robot.
42:12Oh, she kissed it goodbye, Frank.
42:14I got this great tin toy for $50.
42:16I think I can get at least $150.
42:19Here.
42:19Put that right there.
42:20Don't mess it up.
42:20You don't want to piss this where it's gonna scratch.
42:22I bought this grease can for $125.
42:24I think I can get at least a $400 toy.
42:28All right.
42:29Jim.
42:29I think that's it.
42:30Let's pull this in.
42:31Come in.
42:32Thank you, boys.
42:32Nice to meet you.
42:33Yes, you too.
42:34Thanks, buddy.
42:34All right, we will.
42:36All right, thank you.
42:37They're great guys.
42:38They're a lot like me.
42:39You know, they're regular guys.
42:41They have the interest.
42:42All right.
42:43You're welcome to come back here anytime and pick a game.
42:47Hey, guys.
42:54Jim was a decent guy.
42:55He was a cool guy.
42:56I liked him.
42:56What about my killer JD frame?
42:58All I know is I saved you $50.
43:00That's all you should care about.
43:01Since you helped me save $50.
43:03I'm gonna buy you a lobster I saw back there at $4.99.
43:05It's $4.99 a pound and that's not cooked.
43:07I want one that's cooked.
43:08Well, you're gonna have to wrestle it to get the lobster to tap out.
43:17The last thing that I ever thought in a million years was you would read that book,
43:22Relationship for Dummies, and then somehow connect that to us.
43:26I might still have a little problems with girls, but you know what?
43:29After reading a few chapters here and sharing it with Mike, he's being nicer and I'll take it.
43:33I'm gonna act like I care.
43:35How was your day?
43:37So far, every day I wake up's a good day, you know that.
43:40I'd agree with that.
43:41See?
43:41How are you feeling right now?
43:43I'm feeling good.
43:44And you know what?
43:45The more you listen to me, the better I feel.
43:46The next book I give Frank is gonna be called,
43:49Mouth Closed, Ears Open, The Joy of Silence.
43:52Right in here it says, listen to your friend or your partner.
43:55Do you ever wanna listen to me or are you always talking?
43:57Are you still talking?
