00:10Because a year ago, the Tom Thibodeau New York Knicks
00:14got embarrassed during the regular season
00:16against the Boston Celtics in a very similar fashion
00:20to how the New York Knicks this year
00:21have been embarrassed when they play head up
00:24against the Detroit Pistons.
00:26And I do recall that when the Knicks went into their series
00:29against Boston, a lot of you talking heads out there
00:32who think you're basketball experts said,
00:35well, we know how this series is going to go.
00:37The New York Knicks got embarrassed during the regular season
00:39in every single game.
00:41Didn't beat them once against the Boston Celtics.
00:43This is going to be Celtics in five.
00:45Maybe the Knicks one game at home.
00:47Yeah.
00:48And now they're saying the same exact thing
00:50about this Knick team with Mike Brown
00:52against the Detroit Pistons,
00:54who have embarrassed the Knicks
00:55the last three times they've played.
00:57Last night, not as embarrassing as the last game,
01:00but a double-digit home loss against the Pistons.
01:03And it dawned on me that a lot of these talking heads
01:06must have just forgotten,
01:09must have just forgotten, Tyrone,
01:11that the Detroit Pistons
01:14are not just the best team in the East.
01:17They've got the best record in the sport.
01:21This isn't like the Miami Heat came to New York
01:24and beat the Knicks by 20.
01:25Right.
01:26Because they didn't.
01:26This is the best team in basketball
01:29that for sure has had our number this year.
01:33And I've told you since the day you and I sat down here
01:35on September 4th
01:36that the only team in the East that I'm worried about,
01:40and that was five months ago,
01:41in a seven-game series,
01:43are the Detroit Pistons.
01:45And last night was a reminder as to why.
01:47And that was about two of their good players
01:49not playing last night
01:51because of suspension.
01:52Right?
01:53Right.
01:54So, is it a bad loss for the Knicks?
01:56Yes.
01:57Was it another game in which we saw
01:58the worst of Carl Anthony Towns?

02:01But I saw the same crap last year,
02:04and the Knicks had that series won
02:06before Tatum got hurt.
