00:00Hi guys.
00:02We're back.
00:02Previously on Main Cabin Masters.
00:04We arrived with a field of lilies and beautiful weather on kayaks.
00:08And we met Chris and Christy.
00:09Hi Cabin Masters.
00:10Hi Cabin Masters.
00:10A local couple looking to build their dream lakeside cabin.
00:14So we got started right away.
00:16Chase and Francis found this wicked big boulder.
00:18Holy moly.
00:20We battled some frosty and frigid weather.
00:22It froze, baby!
00:24Whoa!
00:25Be careful.
00:26And Ashley designed an ingenious outdoor grilling station.
00:29This is the face and this is the back of the grill.
00:32And we got a camp just about closed in before winter.
00:37Ew, baby!
00:38Hey there Ashley, this is Chris calling.
00:40And then the homeowners call us into the principal's office.
00:43We are wondering if it's possible to take the camp and be able to make it a full-time house
00:48for us.
00:49So now we need to turn this cabin build into a wicked two-potter.
00:53And here's what's happening tonight.
00:55Oh, windows!
00:58Ah!
00:59Ah, no!
01:00How do I look?
01:01You look pretty trashy.
01:03Ah!
01:04Oh, nice!
01:05Good one!
01:07Those are cool.
01:08Everyone in the world's gonna want them.
01:10Oh!
01:12We've waited so long for this.
01:14Welcome home!
01:14This is different than giving a camp back.
01:16This is a home!
01:18Wow!
01:20Amazing!
01:31Hi guys!
01:33We're back!
01:35How's it going?
01:36You're doing arrivals.
01:37You're on a job site.
01:38All right.
01:40Hot two.
01:41Hot two.
01:41All right.
01:42Today, we've got the gang back at the furlock camp in Fayette to continue the build.
01:46It looks really good.
01:47Yeah, so the camp owners, or I should say homeowners now, have decided to sell their house and move
01:55here permanently.
01:56Luckily, they caught us at the right time and we hadn't started finishing everything off,
02:01get it too closed in.
02:02So the major changes of going from a three-season camp to a year-round home are...
02:07On the interior, we're gonna insulate the entire place with spray foam and then close
02:10it all in.
02:11We'll add a heat pump and a boiler for additional heat source and the furlots now want to make
02:16the loft a game room for their family.
02:18So instead of a spiral staircase, we've decided to put in a regular staircase.
02:22And on the exterior, we're still going with the Belgrade siding, screen and porch,
02:25and outdoor cooking area, but now we're putting in brand new, year-round, high-quality
02:29windows that are energy efficient.
02:31So I told the camp owners that the timeline probably wouldn't change too much.
02:36We obviously have more of a budget, but overall, they love how it looks.
02:40They love the progress.
02:41Windows, they're arriving today, so we should be able to start installing those.
02:45Once the windows are in, then nothing holds us back from the siding.
02:48It's all pre-stained, ready to go.
02:50So once it's up, it's done.
02:52Where's Ashley?
02:54Your guess is as good as mine.
02:56Wherever she is, I bet she's warm.
02:59Yeah, I mean, you guys know this project better than anybody.
03:03It's ready to go.
03:04So let's get at it.
03:06All right.
03:06Right on.
03:11Number one.
03:13Yeah, so Justin, Steve, Schmitty, and Jedi are here with us.
03:19Cold metal tour.
03:21Yeah, I mean, it's cold and we have a lot of snow.
03:28And unfortunately, the place is not weather-tight yet by any means.
03:32But, you know, what works to our disadvantage works to Chris and Chrissy's advantage.
03:37You know, we weren't so far along where those changes to make it a year-round home weren't done already.
03:44Yo, hi.
03:45Hey, what you doing?
03:46I brought you some nice warm beverages.
03:48Excellent, thank you.
03:49Schmitty, she's here.
03:51Schmitty, Ashley made it.
03:52Schmitty, I'm here.
03:54Nice.
03:55Yeah, so it's freezing cold here today at the Furlot Camp.
03:58Some nice hot cocoa.
04:00This morning, I took my time getting to the job.
04:03Oh, that'll keep you going.
04:05I figured there's no windows, there's no heat.
04:07You guys making a wish?
04:08Oh, you got the better half.
04:09I know how.
04:10Justin, you want some hot chocolate?
04:12You're the only one working.
04:13All right, baby.
04:14Yeah, buddy.
04:15What kind of doughnut?
04:17See, I know my crowd.
04:18What's going wrong with hot chocolate?
04:19Thanks, man.
04:20So then there's no hurry.
04:22Oh, windows!
04:25We got windows!
04:27That was a big window.
04:28So yeah, you know, the Furlots letting us know that they want to make their camp into a year-round
04:34home.
04:36Yep.
04:37We would have probably just used whatever windows we had kicking around.
04:41Oh, Smitty didn't jump down there.
04:42Perfect.
04:43Buy whatever we needed to fill in to make it work.
04:46But because they want to make it the year-round home, we reached out to get, you know, energy-efficient,
04:53all-matching, brand-new custom windows.
04:55There's a black laminate window on the exterior.
04:58Oh, she's happy that she looks.
05:00Oh.
05:00White interior.
05:02Okay.
05:03Hold up.
05:03Hold up.
05:04Okay.
05:04Flip around, Smitty.
05:06We'll flip that ladder, Justin.
05:08Yeah, we got your ladders.
05:09So, I think it's going to look really good.
05:15Toward you a little.
05:16It's tight.
05:18Okay.
05:19What a window.
05:19It looks great from here.
05:21That's a touchdown.
05:22That's a goal.
05:23That's a score.
05:24These windows are going to look phenomenal.
05:26Make us look professional.
05:28There we go.
05:30Whew.
05:32Perfect.
05:33I mean, it went very smoothly.
05:35That's all I need to see.
05:37Had they waited a week or two, and we put the other windows in for a three-season camp, it
05:41wouldn't have been worth it.
05:41Beautiful.
05:42It has changed everything today.
05:44Those are, like, top-end.
05:44Those are really nice.
05:49Nail it.
05:50Perfect.
05:51Okay.
05:53Smitty!
05:54He's a professional.
05:56Smitty and I are putting on what some people call cleats, and we refer to them as chicken sticks.
06:01You're a chicken, you don't want to walk, but you want something to catch your feet.
06:03So, it's usually just a two-by-four or something running across a roof line to catch you.
06:07It's a great name.
06:09Chicken sticks?
06:10Yeah, they call them chicken sticks, so if you shoot chickens, you stand on a roof without them.
06:15No, it's not!
06:16When you have a plank, chickens slide down, so you put these little...
06:20Oh, that...
06:22That makes total sense.
06:24I figured you were just a chicken on the roof.
06:27Yeah, the claws don't just slide down.
06:29They have little chicken sticks to grab hold of.
06:32We're good?
06:33Yup.
06:34Run it.
06:34That's why he's the boss.
06:44Perfect.
06:45Beautiful.
06:46You need more coffee?
06:48What?
06:48You need some more coffee and some more donuts?
06:50Nope.
06:50We're good.
06:53Dry.
06:54Yeah, so my brother did give me a task today.
06:56I thought I was off the hook.
06:57Just bring in some nice treats.
06:59But he threw the flashing tape at me and said, get flashing.
07:03Oh, my gosh.
07:04Is this how you do this?
07:07All the way to the window.
07:08You know, I've seen that tape before.
07:09I definitely remember, like, the two sides.
07:12We don't want any little leaks.
07:14If Christy and Chris have any leaks, it's gonna be my fault.
07:18And I'll feel horrible.
07:19I probably have done some, somewhere down the line.
07:23I did not wear the right gloves or mittens for this job, though.
07:27My fingers are freezing off my hands.
07:31But I've never done it in four degrees, freezing cold, outside, on a winter day.
07:39It's not the easiest.
07:40Oh, no, no, no!
07:43Ah!
07:44Ah, no!
07:45And then I went to go to the top piece of that long window and just things started to go
07:50bad.
07:50Oh, my gosh.
07:52Oh, my gosh.
07:54Oh, my gosh.
07:55Oh, my gosh.
07:55What is it doing to this?
07:57I thought this was gonna be a lot easier than it is.
08:00Hey, I got problems.
08:01And from that, it got worse.
08:03Oh, no.
08:05Ugh.
08:09This job is for the birds.
08:15Hey, I got questions.
08:17Wanna hear about them?
08:18Or do you care?
08:19Yeah, so my brother threw the flashing tape at me and said, get flashing.
08:23This is not working out for me right here.
08:26And the next thing you know, the tape was hitting the window.
08:29Look.
08:30Yikes.
08:31Ah!
08:33I was covered in the tape.
08:35No!
08:36This is a nightmare.
08:37I feel like a fly.
08:39All right.
08:40You want me to go up first?
08:41Yes, we'll go up that ladder.
08:42I'll go up this ladder.
08:43Only one of us can sit.
08:45Last thing to do.
08:46What are you talking about?
08:46We go up together.
08:47Once Ashley gets her tape down.
08:48There's a ladder right behind you there.
08:49Tootsie Pop.
08:51No?
08:52Tootsie Pop?
08:53You know, I didn't want to leave that last piece undone.
08:55All right, move your ladder.
08:56I'll hold this.
08:57No, you need to pull this.
08:58Pull this.
08:59Pull this.
09:00I wanted to finish the job.
09:01You got that down there.
09:03All right.
09:05You're doing good.
09:06You're doing good, Ryan.
09:07Ryan, you're doing a good job.
09:08And then in comes Ryan to help me.
09:11Yeah, I'll finish up.
09:12Take it.
09:12Go.
09:13Well, then he just kicks me out.
09:14Listen, sir, I've been doing this all afternoon.
09:16I think he just wants to take all the credit for all my work.
09:19Go!
09:21But he can only have the credit if there's a leak.
09:23Otherwise, I take full credit.
09:26You got all those windows in today.
09:28The brown with the black windows.
09:29Popping.
09:30Looks really good.
09:31Huge difference.
09:33Love it.
09:33Nice work.
09:34Let's go get warm.
09:35All right.
09:36Let's pop out of here.
09:36Popping like it's hot.
09:38Those brain cells are frozen.
09:44Hello?
09:46Hi, Ashley.
09:47How's it going?
09:48Good.
09:48How are you doing?
09:49You know me.
09:50Oh, yeah.
09:50Always up to something.
09:52I'm up to something today.
09:54Yeah.
09:54So we have about 12 weeks left on the furlap builds.
09:57What do we got here?
09:58Yeah.
09:58Oh, you want to help?
09:59Great.
10:00Thought you'd never ask.
10:01And it snowed again yesterday, so it's kind of just yucky out.
10:06Oh, Benny, Benny, Benny.
10:07What are we making?
10:08So I figured it'd be a great day to head over to the woodshop
10:11and work on a project for the camp.
10:12Well, my husband broke this beautiful wooden bowl.
10:15Yeah.
10:17So I got this old cutting board.
10:19And you know the furlots?
10:20Yeah, yeah.
10:20They're big cooks.
10:21Oh, yeah.
10:22So I thought it'd be a fun little idea to just do something decorative.
10:25Sure.
10:25With the cutting board and the bowl.
10:26Yeah, you know, I was at home making this beautiful salad.
10:30And then in comes Ryan, and he broke my bowl.
10:34He broke my salad bowl.
10:35So then all of a sudden I thought, I can make something with this.
10:38So this is what I was thinking.
10:40Attach these somehow.
10:41Yeah.
10:41And then we could have, like, you know, you could keep your herbs in here.
10:45Oh, yeah.
10:45You could put some succulents in here.
10:46Just something decorative.
10:48Yeah.
10:48But it kind of goes along with the whole theme.
10:50Yeah.
10:51And then another thing is, this is really heavy.
10:53Yeah, it is.
10:54It's pretty thick.
10:55I know.
10:55Is there any way we could plane it down?
10:57Yeah, we could plane it down.
10:58No problem.
10:59The cutting board was really chunky.
11:01Had a lot of weight to it.
11:02I don't think I've used this machine in a while.
11:04And it also is old and gross.
11:09Oh, that's cool.
11:12We put it through the planer once or twice.
11:14We should do this to all of our cutting boards.
11:17It's brand new.
11:18Ready?
11:18Yep.
11:19Yeah, so once we planed the cutting board, we need to mark where we're going to place the bowl.
11:24That's good right there.
11:26I like it.
11:29Would you look at that?
11:31Then we pre-drilled the holes.
11:35And then we took a little thin layer of glue and blued it down.
11:40Here, let me hold this down tight.
11:42Yeah.
11:43Drilled it.
11:45Screw it and glue it.
11:48All right.
11:49Look at that.
11:50That's really cool, actually.
11:51That is neat, isn't it?
11:52Then I found this beautiful stain that matched perfectly.
11:55Oh, jeez.
11:56Of course I wear white today.
11:58I don't know why I show up at the wood shop wearing this beautiful sweater.
12:01This is what you got.
12:02I'll take it, because I do not want to get my nice, beautiful sweater dirty.
12:06I don't blame it.
12:07But if Eddie helped me out, and it'd be a nice poncho.
12:10Hold on.
12:11Jump in.
12:12And all's well.
12:14All right.
12:15Matching gloves, too, huh?
12:17Yeah.
12:17Would you look at that?
12:19We stained it up.
12:20Oh, yeah, look.
12:21Oh, that looks good.
12:22Just like this was meant to be.
12:23Yeah, you know, this is what I like.
12:25I like reusing things, you know, upcycling things.
12:28How do I look?
12:29You look pretty trashy.
12:30Aw.
12:33And we had the opportunity to do this, thanks to, you know, Ryan's little mistake.
12:38That's good.
12:40And I don't have any stain on me.
12:42Love it.
12:44Beautiful.
12:51Just stick it in there just a little bit.
12:57It's week 25 at the Furlock camp.
12:59Justin, Steve, Schmitty, and Sam, they're doing a great job.
13:03Not bad.
13:05They installed the double French doors on the water side of the camp.
13:08The roof is on.
13:11Yeah.
13:13Beautiful.
13:15The electricians have been here.
13:19The siding is going up.
13:25We got a spray foam.
13:30The boiler system went in.
13:32Look at the just as beautiful.
13:33They did a wonderful job on that.
13:36And so now it's really just focusing on the interior.
13:41Just like that.
13:51The place looks beautiful.
13:53Yeah.
13:54Looks really good.
13:55Front door looks nice.
13:57I like the roof line over the door.
13:58That looks great.
14:00Yeah, back at the Furlock camp.
14:01We've got about six weeks left.
14:03Outside's there, huh?
14:04You're just waiting on these posts.
14:05Yeah.
14:05But other than that, the roof is on.
14:07The siding's on.
14:08You guys done a fabulous job.
14:09So now it's all interior.
14:11Flooring.
14:12Kitchen cabinets are supposed to show up today.
14:14Lovely.
14:15Dougie's going to work on the water.
14:17Getting all that connected, so.
14:18Cool.
14:19Looking good.
14:20Let's do it.
14:20Let's get after it.
14:21Make a house a home.
14:24This place looks awesome.
14:26So there'll be a refrigerator here.
14:29Base cabinet with an upper.
14:33Stove.
14:34And then your 36-inch sink base.
14:37Dishwasher.
14:39Yeah.
14:40I mean, it's definitely their forever home.
14:41It's got a very efficient boiler system.
14:44Marvelous.
14:47There it is.
14:49All the electrical's buried.
14:51All the plumbing's buried.
14:52I love it.
14:54That is just gorgeous.
14:56Yup.
14:57No tape.
14:57No pencil needed.
14:59Just a knife and a square.
15:01Here today, the main goal is flooring.
15:04There it is.
15:05You got it.
15:07We've got this really nice, simple, easy, click-down floor.
15:10So we're going to run this all the way through the house.
15:20Hey, Doug.
15:21Hey, how's it going?
15:22Good.
15:23You doing plumbing on the outhouses now?
15:25Well, yeah, collecting snow.
15:28Oh, it all fell off into my stuff.
15:29I had my stuff sitting here.
15:30Oh, no.
15:31The exterior siding, it looks really great.
15:34I love it with the black windows.
15:37Actually, last time I was here, I was putting up that ice and water shield.
15:40And it was getting all over me.
15:41I was like a fly.
15:43Oh, hi.
15:44Good morning.
15:45Good.
15:45The inside is all sheathed in.
15:47We need you.
15:47We need you to hold.
15:48Hold it.
15:49You got it.
15:50Floors are going in today.
15:51You need this one?
15:53No.
15:53Great.
15:54I don't need any of them.
15:55Can you help me get off my toes?
15:57And all these cabinets for the kitchen showed up.
16:01Yeah, you know, it sounds like a home.
16:03Start right in the corner.
16:04Good?
16:05Yeah.
16:05You can let go.
16:07Cabinets with Dixie.
16:15How's it going?
16:17What are you guys doing?
16:18Hanging out in the game room.
16:19One of the big reasons why I came today is because I haven't seen the build for a while.
16:22Hey, Jed.
16:24Ashley.
16:25What you doing?
16:26And I really wanted to get up and look at the game room.
16:29What are you guys doing?
16:30Playing games?
16:31To get an idea for a pool table.
16:32And since you are the pool shark of the crew, there's a place in Lewiston.
16:38You want to come with me?
16:39I would love to go shop a pool table.
16:42Okay, great.
16:42Because I know nothing about it.
16:44Well, they have seven-foot tables, eight-foot tables, nine-foot tables.
16:48Main thing you want to see is how big your room is, right?
16:50What do you think this room is, 13?
16:52All right.
16:52I think I mentioned, go to that corner right now, please.
16:54Yeah, when I got upstairs, I thought it was plenty big enough.
16:58All right, that's going to be over 16.
17:00The room is 25.
17:02The guys are a little bit hesitant.
17:04Where would you put it?
17:05I think you want it out there.
17:07It has to be out there.
17:08Even though it was very spacious?
17:09So for an eight-foot pool table...
17:11What do you got there, Jedi?
17:12I've got 17 foot two.
17:15What's half of that, honey?
17:16What?
17:1717 feet?
17:17Well, it's half of 17, too.
17:18I can't do this today.
17:21Eight feet, seven inches.
17:2417?
17:24Where's that at, Jedi?
17:25That is right there in the center.
17:27Half of 17 is eight?
17:29What?
17:32Eight times two is 16.
17:348.5, 8.6.
17:378.6, right?
17:388.6 in my head is what it is, but he said no.
17:41In construction math, it's 8.7.
17:43Got into math.
17:44Oh.
17:45Oh, yeah, if you have an eight-foot table,
17:46you have all kinds of room.
17:47It's a lot better than I thought.
17:49Yeah, we have plenty of room for an eight-foot.
17:50Perfect.
17:53That's lovely.
17:54Just lovely.
17:56This is spinning nicely, Dixie.
17:58I like this lazy Susan you got there.
17:59You can't call it that anymore.
18:00Oh.
18:00I like your Susan.
18:09Yeah, all right.
18:12I'm not finding anything in this kitchen that needs to be done by me.
18:16I got some research to do.
18:17What kind of research?
18:18About pool tables, baby, pool tables.
18:21Ashley Ball, corner pocket.
18:23Nice break.
18:25Rack them up.
18:25She's out of here.
18:26See ya.
18:33Hey, guys.
18:34Welcome in.
18:34How's it going?
18:35Good.
18:35I'm Shane.
18:36Hi, Ashley.
18:37Ashley.
18:38Jedi.
18:38Jedi.
18:39What a name.
18:39So when Chris and Christy called us that they really wanted a house, who's this?
18:43That's Moxie.
18:44Hi, Moxie.
18:45That's pretty girl.
18:46They also said they really want a game room.
18:48Good girl.
18:50And what they really would like is a pool table.
18:53Well, we have pool tables.
18:54It's what we do.
18:55I only have five or six on display, but we have over 200 available for you to choose
19:00from.
19:00Do we know what size the room is that we're working with?
19:04It's a little over 13 feet in one direction and just slightly bigger in the other.
19:10Okay.
19:10So we're looking good for an eight-foot pool table.
19:12Your standard home pool table size.
19:15You know, we have a few models.
19:16You know, one of them happens to be on the floor right over here.
19:18This is one of our more popular rustic tables.
19:21This has like the nice wood and green.
19:23I love green.
19:23Yeah, rustic wood looking.
19:24You know, dark green is very typical for us for tables that are, you know, sold here
19:29in Maine.
19:29Yeah.
19:30I like the blue, though.
19:31The blue is nice.
19:32Both really nice tables, but it just happens that this one right here would fit style-wise
19:38better than any of the others.
19:40I feel like this is the one.
19:42Yeah, nice.
19:43Judd and I ended up picking out the one that would look best with all the wood that's
19:47in the house.
19:47This is the one?
19:48Sold.
19:49And I love green, so I'm gonna go with green anyway.
19:52Nice job.
19:52Thanks.
19:53Woo!
20:07So we are getting very close to getting the furlot camp home wrapped up.
20:13Trim all done.
20:16Floors are in.
20:17We've got a little bit of plumbing left to do.
20:19A little bit for the electricians to do.
20:21Kitchen countertops need to go in.
20:23Covered porch panels need to go in.
20:25And then Tom's coming to set a grate.
20:29And this place is ready to give to the furlots.
20:33Hi.
20:34Hey, Ashley.
20:36This is exciting.
20:38Yeah, we're trying to just figure this out.
20:40So today, Tom and Dale, we're here working on the grill rack.
20:43So we got the thing for cooking the steaks and burgers and hot dogs.
20:47You could cook a lot of steaks and burgers and hot dogs on that.
20:49It's massive, and it's heavy.
20:50That's like crazy stainless steel.
20:52And then that right there is your grill if they want to do their onions and whatever they
20:57want to do on that.
20:58So when we first met with the furlots, they told us they cooked almost all of their
21:01meals outside.
21:02Oh, and you got these.
21:04Oh, and the hamburger bun branders.
21:07The hamburger bun branders.
21:08Or steak branders or whatever they want to do with them.
21:10And when Francis dug up these giant rocks.
21:15Holy moly.
21:16I came up with this idea to make grill racks that we can attach to the rocks.
21:19So we can build the fire here and push the coals over.
21:21And then what we're going to do is this is where we're going to drill the holes in.
21:25Yeah.
21:25So then the grates can come out and create an outdoor cooking area for them.
21:29Before we put these in, we'll take these rocks out so they have a place for the fire.
21:33Move that.
21:33Move that one and move that.
21:35Don't throw your back out.
21:38Nice.
21:39Look at that.
21:39If I can grab that, let me just...
21:41Okay.
21:41I'll be back.
21:41All right.
21:45There we go.
21:46That's out of the way.
21:47And that gives them plenty of fire pit.
21:49All right.
21:50So now let me set the first one.
21:53Yeah.
21:54That's like butter.
21:58I think it's a 7-16ths socket.
22:18There we go.
22:20All right.
22:26No, it's wedged.
22:27Yeah.
22:28Hold on.
22:32Oh, it looks great.
22:33You guys are fancy.
22:35I'll leave you for a far 15 minutes and you get this all together.
22:39We're from Maine.
22:39Awesome, guys.
22:40I'm really, really excited for the furlots to see it.
22:51Good morning.
22:53Good morning.
22:54What's going on today?
22:56Getting prepped and ready for the covered porch panels.
23:01Nice.
23:02Beautiful spring day here in Fayette.
23:05It's like Christmas.
23:07On lovely Lovejoy Pond.
23:10Look at that.
23:11How convenient.
23:12Panel A1.
23:12That's the first one we want to start with.
23:13Oh, lovely.
23:14Isn't that awesome?
23:15We're going to be installing some outside windows.
23:18You got it.
23:21And a sliding door.
23:23Okay.
23:27Love it.
23:29Morning.
23:31Morning.
23:34Beautiful.
23:34Morning, honey.
23:36It looks good.
23:37There's one I had to run into town and I had to get some concrete anchors.
23:44These screens are amazing.
23:46Right?
23:47Is that what we want?
23:48I'm happy.
23:49But they can be really big.
23:51Deepest.
23:52So there's a little flex in them.
23:54ASMR?
23:55Yeah.
23:56I don't even know what it stands for.
23:58Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response.
23:59We're going to make camera masters ASMR.
24:02So we had to pre-drill through the screen itself.
24:05Then get a hammer drill into the concrete.
24:10And we got anchors.
24:13Lovely.
24:14They're not moving ever.
24:15Getting awful good at these.
24:17Right?
24:19Making some progress.
24:22How are the screens coming?
24:24They're coming.
24:26We are prepped and ready for you guys.
24:28So it's a beautiful spring day.
24:31Beautiful.
24:32Chase said that we were going to be working outside today.
24:35What are you, break dancing?
24:36Yeah.
24:37Just come show us your moves.
24:38So I brought Fiona with me.
24:40She lives down the road.
24:41She's my friend.
24:42Look, I got canvases for everybody.
24:44And we have a really fun art project planned.
24:46What are we painting?
24:47Today we are going to be doing some drip art.
24:50Drip art.
24:52Let's do one.
24:53Yeah, so the art project, it's a cup with holes in the bottom of the cup.
24:56You put it in paint colors.
24:58All right.
24:58We got a lift off.
25:00Oh, gosh.
25:00And then you kind of swing it like a pendulum.
25:02Oh, no.
25:03That's amazing.
25:04Hold on.
25:05I like it.
25:05It's doing something.
25:06And you get some random.
25:09Whoa.
25:10That's Ashley.
25:12Kind of funky art.
25:13Look how cool this looks.
25:14My inspiration was my t-shirt today.
25:16I have a green t-shirt.
25:17So I wanted to go with green.
25:18Now you can take a paint brush and you can mess around with it.
25:21Or you could go like this.
25:21Oh, I would mess it.
25:22That's art.
25:23Ashley.
25:24And then I like the, you know, silver and goldy colors.
25:28I'm going to let it dry.
25:29It might take a few days to dry.
25:30There's so much paint on it, but.
25:31Ready?
25:32Yeah.
25:32Oh, cool.
25:34Nice flat rock to dry on.
25:37Are these for the paint?
25:39That's splatterpaint.
25:40That's what I want to do.
25:41All right.
25:41Chase is up.
25:41Splatterpaint.
25:42You hold the canvas.
25:43I agree with that.
25:45Chase said, Ashley, hold this.
25:46And of course, I'm going to participate because he's participating.
25:48Watch out, Fiona.
25:49He's not spraying you.
25:50Any chance I get it.
25:52I'm going to do whatever it takes to keep the enthusiasm up.
25:56Ah!
25:56Oh!
25:57Oh, man!
25:58Ah!
25:59Ah!
26:00And to make everybody have fun.
26:02Ah!
26:04Oh!
26:06That one got you.
26:10Perfect.
26:11Thanks.
26:12I think the project came out really cool.
26:16Everyone's was totally different.
26:18Nice one, Dixie.
26:19I think it's just a fun way to get everybody involved.
26:22Add some color to the walls.
26:23You know the game room is kind of like a young feel.
26:27Oh!
26:28Ryan, you didn't even tell us.
26:29Oh, I like your colors.
26:31It looks like a bouquet of flowers.
26:33So let's put up some young feeling art.
26:37Looks good.
26:40You guys make nice stuff.
26:41Everyone in the world's going to want them.
26:43What a difference.
26:45Seriously.
26:46Ha!
26:47I can't wait for them to see it.
26:49I can't wait to have them at my camp.
26:51Ha!
26:51Awesome.
26:52All right.
26:52Thanks for hanging out with us today, Spencer.
26:54Anytime.
26:55You guys are pros.
27:14Oh, this must be the countertop.
27:16Dixie!
27:18Oh, you want a hand?
27:19We should unwrap it in here first so we can just set it right in.
27:22You want to do that?
27:23Sure.
27:23So we've got about a week left before we hand the new home back to the furlots.
27:29Oh, and now look at this.
27:30Now Dixie's got the heavy end.
27:32It's rainy, it's muddy, but Francis is here working on landscaping.
27:38You're doing a great job.
27:40Chad is here with the countertop.
27:41That's a nice one.
27:43That's a pretty long one.
27:44You know, it's all assembled.
27:45So swing it.
27:46The sink cutout was already in place.
27:48I'm on the wrong end.
27:49You're on the wrong end.
27:50I'll come up and under.
27:51So it was really kind of a soft spot right at that joint.
27:56You've got to go, like, way up.
27:58It took about four or five of us to get that countertop in.
28:01There we go.
28:02Oh.
28:02Good job, Ryan.
28:03But we were able to tip it up.
28:04We're going to go.
28:05We're going to go.
28:06Hold on.
28:06Hold on.
28:06Oh, we're so close.
28:07Do it.
28:08Deep breaths.
28:09Deep breaths.
28:09Do it.
28:09Do it.
28:11And slide it right in.
28:12It was perfect.
28:13My God.
28:15Perfect.
28:16I feel like a glove.
28:18Oh, that's beauteous.
28:26Hello.
28:27Here for the pool table.
28:29Hello.
28:29Hello.
28:30We're up here.
28:31You're right up.
28:33Yeah, so today the pool table people are coming over.
28:36How's it going?
28:36Good.
28:37How are you?
28:37Good.
28:38Good to see you again.
28:39To install the pool table.
28:40Yeah, so the three of us were up here a couple of weeks ago,
28:43deciding where it's going to fit in the space.
28:44And that's why we went and saw you.
28:47And now you're here.
28:48Maybe you can kind of help us.
28:50Yeah, angles are sometimes tough because what you gain on your sides,
28:53you lose on a couple of corners.
28:55But we can set you right up.
28:56Yeah, we'll start helping you bring some parts and pieces up.
29:00Perfect.
29:01So we're just going to help them out.
29:03This one weighs like two tons.
29:04It's so heavy.
29:05Give them a hand.
29:09This is light.
29:12Look at this thing, Josh.
29:14Figure out the exact placement where we want it.
29:16Ryan.
29:17Yes, dear.
29:18Catch.
29:22Aren't you funny?
29:23And get it put together.
29:25You're being good, boy.
29:26I know you don't have any friends here today, though.
29:30That kind of matches our style, huh?
29:32Big, chunky, looks like timber legs.
29:34Chunky, nice and rustic wood.
29:36Yeah.
29:36That's why we chose it, right, Jedi?
29:38Yeah.
29:39Chunky and rustic, just like me.
29:41Yeah, first off, they, you know, got everything inside.
29:44Hi, Ruben.
29:45Hi, Ruben.
29:46They got the base built.
29:48Yep.
29:49You want this out of the way?
29:50Right along the wall, actually, would be great.
29:52Yeah, thank you, guys.
29:53Once they got the base all put together.
29:55Pretty light.
29:56I just don't want to scratch everything out.
29:58They put the top part of the pool table in.
30:00I'm in.
30:01Got that all bolted down.
30:03This thing comes loaded.
30:04They got everything established.
30:06This is beautiful stuff.
30:08Leveled.
30:09This is precise.
30:10They are precise over here.
30:12And then it was the three pieces of slate.
30:15I was under the impression that it was a solid piece of slate that goes in there.
30:20The professionals made it look wider than it is.
30:23Jen and I are like, what do we get ourselves into?
30:29But it's not.
30:30It's three pieces.
30:35Francis is leading the way.
30:38Woo!
30:39I don't know about that.
30:41Good job, guys.
30:43Was that the biggest piece?
30:46Did they glue it?
30:47They used beeswax.
30:49Beeswax?
30:50Interesting.
30:51Yeah.
30:51They used beeswax because the slate gets bolted down to the frame itself.
30:55It's taking shape, guys.
30:58And then they seam it with a beeswax.
31:02Oh, that's so smooth.
31:04Can you just scrape it off and reuse it?
31:06So when they felt it over, you never see the seams.
31:09Oh, look at that.
31:09Look at that.
31:13That's beautiful.
31:14That just fit in just like butter.
31:16Right?
31:17That was nice.
31:17I like the color.
31:19It contrasts perfectly in pots.
31:21Yeah.
31:21I mean, Jenna and I chose that one specifically because of the dark wood and the green.
31:25There we go.
31:26It contrasts all the natural wood up there.
31:28Yeah, right.
31:28Go to the lake.
31:29Yeah, perfect.
31:30Perfect.
31:31Finishing touch.
31:32Finishing touch.
31:33Boom.
31:34Boom.
31:34It looks really good up there.
31:36All right.
31:37Who's breaking?
31:41Beautiful.
31:42Cool.
31:42I think it was a great idea that they decided to make a year-round living.
31:46Look at this.
31:46It's sharp.
31:47Yeah, it's a gorgeous little setup.
31:50Woo!
31:51Chase, what do you think of the pool table?
31:52It's very nice.
31:54Oh!
31:55Yeah.
31:56Pool table, color-wise, style-wise, fit right in.
32:00You know, a little bonus game room.
32:03She's gonna run the table.
32:04Run it!
32:04Yeah, she goes.
32:05Started out as a cabin.
32:08Turned into their forever home.
32:10And it's really up to Ashley and her team to finish it off.
32:14Oh!
32:16Oh!
32:17Oh!
32:18You guys almost like it.
32:19Toying with us.
32:20Geez, guys.
32:20Good game.
32:21Good game.
32:22Nice game.
32:25Hello.
32:26Hi.
32:27Hi.
32:28Oh, you're putting your pictures up.
32:30Here.
32:30I think Ryan should go right over there on that wall.
32:33How come his is so colorful?
32:35Because that's Ryan.
32:35He's a colorful human being.
32:37Today's finally here when we give the camp back to the furlots.
32:40House.
32:41House.
32:42How about right there?
32:44We give back what started as a camp.
32:46That's mine.
32:48Turned into their forever home.
32:50It's been a long project.
32:52There we go.
32:53And it came out great.
32:54Can you imagine having somebody build your whole home and you don't even know what it
32:58looks like?
32:58And since this is gonna be their forever home, my team was able to come in and pretty much
33:02use all of their furniture, and then we added some of our own design touches.
33:09And now we're ready to go.
33:11I'm excited.
33:11Let's come meet him.
33:17We've waited so long for this.
33:20I know.
33:21Goosebumps.
33:21Oh, my gosh.
33:23Look at that front porch.
33:25Look at that.
33:26Look at the color.
33:27Hi.
33:27Hello.
33:29Welcome home.
33:30Welcome home.
33:32Wow.
33:33That's an amazing thing to hear.
33:35All the front of the house, the pavers and everything.
33:38Hi.
33:39How are you?
33:40Good to see you.
33:41It's just so welcoming with the seating area.
33:43That's beautiful.
33:44Looks great.
33:45This is different than giving a camp back.
33:47It is.
33:48Because it's a house.
33:49I know.
33:50Yes.
33:50And the coloring of the house against those black windows.
33:55Wow.
33:56Is absolutely gorgeous.
33:57Yeah.
33:58Last time you were here, windows weren't in.
34:00It was definitely a heck of a lot colder.
34:02Yes.
34:03And you caught us at the right time when you let us know that you want to make this your
34:07forever home.
34:08Yes.
34:09And so, yeah.
34:10We ended up going with nice black window, nice charcoal, standing seam metal roof, belgrade
34:16siding with a nice brown stain.
34:19Frances came in, did a lot of landscaping.
34:22Electrical is done.
34:23Water's on.
34:24Heat is on.
34:25They want to see the inside.
34:26Yeah.
34:27Can we see the inside, please?
34:28I love the outside.
34:29It looks fantastic.
34:31But I really want to see the inside.
34:32Okay.
34:33Let's hit on it.
34:34You've waited long enough.
34:35We've waited a long time.
34:37Oh, man.
34:39Ladies for us.
34:40Wow.
34:42Look at this.
34:46Oh, wow.

36:26Yes.
36:26Luckily, because you caught us in time, we were able to make it.
36:29So it was a four-season house.
36:31It's true.
36:31Everything's spray-foamed.
36:33You've got a more energy-efficient window.
36:36Matching windows throughout.
36:38I can't believe that this is ours and that we don't have to leave here today.
36:42We can actually stay here.
36:44We looked for years for a house.
36:46We actually had picked a few that we liked.
36:48We were outbid at the time.
36:50Real set of stairs to get up here.

37:02And just look at everything that they did.
37:05Oh, that's awesome.

38:11Because of the huge window.
38:13It looks great.
38:14I'll fall asleep in there for definitely, for sure.
38:16Total transformation from what the front out here used to look like, right?
38:19Yes.
38:20Well, it was snowy the last time we were here.
38:22Yeah.
38:23And originally, there are a lot of trees, a lot of big rocks.
38:26Yeah.
38:27So we pushed them over here.
38:28And so then we knew you wanted a place for outside curling.
38:31Yeah.
38:43That's awesome.
38:43That's cool.
38:45Just having the kids over and having everybody over.
