00:00:03Good evening, ladies and gentlemen,
00:00:07and welcome to the VivaTech Global Awards Ceremony.
00:00:11My name is Isabelle Johannesson,
00:00:13and I am the Startup Battlefield Editor at TechCrunch,
00:00:17and I'm delighted to be your host for this evening.
00:00:20Tonight, we will celebrate some of the brightest minds in tech,
00:00:24from the startups who are groundbreaking and transforming our industries
00:00:28to the brilliant minds who are building these companies.
00:00:32All of us are united tonight by innovation.
00:00:36Today, I will be joined on stage by my girl DJ Julia.
00:00:40Hit it.
00:00:41Let's give her a round of applause.
00:00:49All right.
00:00:51So from June 11th to June 14th,
00:00:54VivaTech brings the global tech ecosystem together.
00:00:57From entrepreneurs and investors to corporates and institutions,
00:01:02all united by a shared drive to innovate for impact.
00:01:07Tonight, we will honor the entrepreneurs who stood out.
00:01:11Five prestigious awards will be given out tonight
00:01:14to the changemakers whose work reflects excellence, purpose, and bold creativity.
00:01:22So to tell you more about VivaTech's different awards,
00:01:25please welcome to the stage,
00:01:27Mary Slavy, Emeritus Chairman of Publicis Group,
00:01:30and Pierre Louet, CEO of Les Echos,
00:01:33La Parisienne Group.
00:01:45Go, go, go, go, go, go.
00:01:49We are always running for the thrill of it, thrill of it,
00:01:53always pushing up the hill, searching for the thrill of it,
00:01:57All along, all along, we are calling out how to get
00:02:00Never looking down, I'm just in awe of what's in front of me
00:02:07I want to thank you.
00:02:09And I want that you applaud yourself
00:02:12because it's great to see you after such a day
00:02:16and after yesterday.
00:02:18So, a big clap to everyone.
00:02:21Bravo!
00:02:27We have won ceremony of award for encompassing five different awards.
00:02:35We decided that we need to celebrate the fantastic entrepreneurs,
00:02:43be they in the field of just starting up
00:02:50or those who have already a lot of experience.
00:02:55the people that are going to shape the future.
00:02:59There will be five awards.
00:03:03The first one, we have to start with the most important one,
00:03:07is the Female Founder Challenge.
00:03:13Bravo!
00:03:19It's too bad that we have to say Female Challenge.
00:03:25But it's important to do it, it's important to celebrate,
00:03:29but normally we should have much more women entrepreneurs
00:03:34and much more women supported by the financial community
00:03:39and creating their own operation.
00:03:44So, the first one is the Female Founder Challenge.
00:03:50The second one is something which is extremely dear to my heart
00:03:54because we started VivaTech in 2016
00:04:00and in 2017 we decided that we will create Africa Tech
00:04:06at VivaTech
00:04:08and since then we built on Africa
00:04:13and on the fact that there are a lot of talent in Africa
00:04:18and they should be recognized and rewarded.
00:04:22So, Africa Tech Challenge.
00:04:26Big up for Africa.
00:04:29And the very young entrepreneurs,
00:04:34people like myself who are just starting up
00:04:37that need to be supported.
00:04:40And yes, don't laugh.
00:04:42It's difficult to start.
00:04:45And there is no age to start.
00:04:47And so, the very young beginner
00:04:52that are going to shape the future.
00:04:56And that is the start-upper,
00:04:59the next start-upper challenge.
00:05:02Pierre.
00:05:03Yeah, we decided to add two new prices
00:05:05to the ones you've described, Maurice,
00:05:07as a young entrepreneur, actually.
00:05:09So, we added one Tech for Change Award
00:05:12and my friend Marie Eclan will be somewhere around here
00:05:16delivering this price.
00:05:17It's a price that recognizes technologies
00:05:20making a real difference for this planet,
00:05:22the only one we have.
00:05:23So, it's a very important breakthrough for us.
00:05:26And the second price I was going to mention
00:05:29is the VivaTech Innovation of the Euro Prize,
00:05:31which celebrates one breakthrough solution
00:05:35that redefines what is possible.
00:05:38So, those five awards,
00:05:39they're much more than just a recognition.
00:05:42They're an inspiration that we want to share with you
00:05:45based on your intelligences,
00:05:46on the monies you can raise.
00:05:48You can really make a difference.
00:05:49And that's what VivaTech is about,
00:05:51a gathering of people
00:05:52that want to make a difference for their world,
00:05:54that want to make a difference in their industry,
00:05:57as Maurice has made
00:05:58and continues making, actually,
00:06:00in all the companies and enterprises that he launches.
00:06:02So, thanks again for being with us.
00:06:04I want to thank also the sponsors of these awards,
00:06:07Forvis, Mazars,
00:06:09La Chambre de Commerce et d'Industrie France,
00:06:11Alibaba,
00:06:12and Jean-Claude Decaux.
00:06:13And a special thank to TechCrunch.
00:06:15I think TechCrunch is represented here on our left
00:06:18for their support in developing
00:06:20the VivaTech Innovation of the Euro
00:06:22and all of those awards.
00:06:24Thank you to all of you guys.
00:06:26Thank you and enjoy the evening.
00:06:29Enjoy, enjoy.
00:06:32Thank you so much for those great words.
00:06:34It is fantastic that we are honoring
00:06:36so many different kinds of founders, right?
00:06:39And so, I know you're all very eager
00:06:41to find out who our finalists
00:06:42and, of course, our winner are.
00:06:44But first, I'm going to tell you a little bit
00:06:46about what our winners tonight
00:06:47will receive in prizes.
00:06:49So, our five winners will not only receive
00:06:53industry validation,
00:06:54but also the following prizes
00:06:56from VivaTech, NVIDIA, and TechCrunch.
00:06:59First, a startup corner
00:07:00at the 10th edition of VivaTech in 2026.
00:07:04The startup winners tonight
00:07:06will receive NVIDIA GPU credits,
00:07:08as well as one NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute
00:07:11instructor-led workshop valued at $500.
00:07:15They will, of course, receive huge visibility
00:07:17and brand exposure.
00:07:18and VC introductions.
00:07:21And, of course, additional specific awards
00:07:23will be given to the winners of each category.
00:07:26And last but not least,
00:07:27I'm thrilled to announce
00:07:28that all five winners tonight
00:07:29will receive a spot
00:07:31in the TechCrunch Startup Battlefield 200 competition
00:07:33in San Francisco at TechCrunch Disrupt.
00:07:40So now, it is time to dive into our first award,
00:07:44the Female Founder Challenge.
00:08:09All right, so first I would like to invite our partners
00:08:13for this award to the stage
00:08:15from Alibaba,
00:08:16Forvis Mazar,
00:08:17and JC Daccault.
00:08:19If we can please have them come to the stage,

00:08:49So thank you all for your wonderful contributions
00:08:52to this award.
00:08:53Would you like to say a few words?
00:08:55Well, I think, you know,
00:08:58we have the five finalists
00:09:00coming out from almost 600 submissions.
00:09:02So whatever the result is,
00:09:04I think all five of them
00:09:06has really, you know,
00:09:07have gone a long mile.
00:09:09And I guess we have a very difficult time
00:09:13to make the decision.
00:09:14In fact, we fight against each other
00:09:16and that's why we lost some judges, right?
00:09:19That's for sure.
00:09:21It's an honor for us to be here today
00:09:23for the Female Founder Challenge.
00:09:25Something we value a lot, all of us,
00:09:28at Forvis Mazar,
00:09:29within a startup accelerator,
00:09:30we have more than 70% of female founders.
00:09:35And it's very important.
00:09:36Moïse Levy said
00:09:37we should not have this.
00:09:38But in fact,
00:09:39it's important to have it.
00:09:41And this morning,
00:09:42we had amazing five finalists
00:09:45for the pitch section.
00:09:46It was amazing.
00:09:49Thank you, Sylvain and Cindy.
00:09:51I'd just like to say congratulations
00:09:53to the five finalists,
00:09:55wonderful, inspiring entrepreneurs,
00:09:59women also,
00:10:00very true.
00:10:02And they had very inspiring innovations.
00:10:07And what they showed
00:10:09was the passion that they have
00:10:10for innovation
00:10:11and the very hard work.
00:10:13And whether you're a man or a woman,
00:10:16it takes passion for innovation
00:10:18and it takes a lot of hard work.
00:10:21And they've impressed us all,
00:10:23whatever their activity,
00:10:25and it was very hard to decide on a winner.
00:10:29Yeah, but we did.
00:10:30Did we?
00:10:31Yes.
00:10:31Yeah.
00:10:32Yeah.
00:10:33And I think maybe now it's time to...
00:10:35Well, before we announce the winner,
00:10:37I do want to say a few more thank yous,
00:10:40but I could not agree more
00:10:41with the sentiments you just shared.
00:10:42So thank you so much.
00:10:43I would also like to thank,
00:10:44before we dive into the winner here,
00:10:47our knowledge partners at Forvis Mazar
00:10:50for their valuable support
00:10:51during the selection process.
00:10:52They carefully reviewed over 500 applications
00:10:56for this prize
00:10:57and helped us narrow it down
00:10:59to the top 30.
00:11:01The top 30 most promising startups
00:11:03that are either founded
00:11:04or co-founded by women
00:11:05and their expertise
00:11:07has been absolutely instrumental
00:11:08in this year's short list.
00:11:10I also want to thank Forvis Mazar

00:11:26with Forvis Mazar's X-Factory.
00:11:29So, ladies and gentlemen,
00:11:30it is now time
00:11:31to announce the winner.

00:12:00So, congratulations to all five
00:12:02of our finalists
00:12:03who are seated here
00:12:04in the first row.
00:12:05So, let's give them
00:12:06a big round of applause, please.
00:12:18All right,
00:12:19the time has come.
00:12:21Take it away.
00:12:23So, now the time

00:12:27And the winner is...
00:12:30Verly Helene Brant.
00:12:33Congratulations.
00:12:34Congratulations.
00:12:35Congratulations.
00:12:36Come on up.
00:12:49Congratulations.
00:12:52Congratulations.
00:12:54Qu'est-ce que ça veut dire?
00:12:54Qu'est-ce que ça veut dire?
00:12:57Qu'est-ce que ça veut dire?
00:12:59En fait, en fait.
00:13:02Oui, oui.
00:13:09Bonne chance.
00:13:10Oui, oui.
00:13:24All right, congratulations to our winner, our partners can soon go off stage when we're done with our photo shoot
00:13:32here.
00:13:34Thank you so much.
00:13:38Thank you, Isabelle. Bye-bye.
00:13:39Thank you. And now to our lovely winner, the stage is yours for three minutes to share your pitch with
00:13:45us.
00:13:46Take it away.
00:13:47Excellent. Thank you, everyone. Thank you for your trust.
00:13:50And congratulations to the panelists. I'm taking five seconds for you. Congratulations.
00:13:56So here we'll talk about proteins. Protein is about your diet. It's one third of your diet, and it is
00:14:02essential.
00:14:04However, you will get some difficulties to get it in the next coming years.
00:14:09Why? Because in the 19th century, we were only 2 billion on Earth.
00:14:15In the next century, we will be more than 10 billion on Earth.
00:14:18And the protein demand will double.
00:14:22However, currently, there are only a few solutions.
00:14:26Agriculture, plant-based, but not enough production.
00:14:30We found the solution at Verley.
00:14:32We produce dairy protein using precision fermentation.
00:14:37The good news is that fermentation is well known.
00:14:40It saved our life with insulin.
00:14:42It also allowed us to produce some new food, preserve our food, produce the wine that you love every day,
00:14:49the beer that you love.
00:14:51Currently, we are able to leverage microorganisms to produce identical dairy proteins to make the dairy products that you love
00:15:00for your everyday diet.
00:15:03And thanks to that, we are able to address one of the most fastest growing markets, and the most promising
00:15:09markets.
00:15:10From infant nutrition, adult, senior, sportive nutrition, we can address all that growing markets.
00:15:16And we have already attracted the top-tier dairy producers.
00:15:20We have already secured some volume and sales.
00:15:23And we are able to secure our volume of capacity to produce and serve those clients in the next coming
00:15:29years.
00:15:31The beauty of that technology, it is sustainable.
00:15:34And yes, it is a mission of Verley to be highly sustainable and complementary to the dairy industry.
00:15:40We produce less carbon emission, we use less land, and much less water than dairy production.
00:15:49So, to be an agronomist is a job to reimagine the way it's produced food.
00:15:55But my job is to turn it into a business and commercial sustainable business.
00:15:59And I would like to thank my team, the girls that are in my team, the women, PhD, 50%
00:16:05of my team, I'm very proud.
00:16:07And I attracted the top-tier investors that trust me and my co-founder.
00:16:12Thank you, everyone.
00:16:15That's fantastic.
00:16:16Thank you so much.
00:16:18And again, congratulations.
00:16:20You can take your award, take your slip, and head back to your seat.
00:16:23Thank you so much.
00:16:25All right.
00:16:26One more round of applause.
00:16:31All right.
00:16:32And with that, it is time to move on to our very next award, the Africa Tech Award.
00:16:38Thank you.
00:17:03Okay, so I'm looking forward to seeing who our nine finalists are.
00:17:07But first, we will have a few words from the godfather for the second year in a row of the
00:17:13Africa Tech Awards,
00:17:14Edouard Mendy.
00:17:17Hi, everyone.
00:17:18I'm very proud to be the ambassador of the Africa Tech Awards organized by Viva Tech for the second consecutive
00:17:25year.
00:17:26This initiative was created to support and to recognize the most impactful startups across the continent in three sectors,
00:17:37green tech, e-commerce and fintech and health tech.
00:17:41I can't wait to discover the three winners and also the big winner.
00:17:45I wish them best of luck.
00:17:46I'm also happy to share with you a program I launched in Senegal, Change Keepers.
00:17:51It's a seven-month journey designed to support 10 entrepreneurs in Senegal.
00:17:57We will provide them access to co-working spaces.
00:18:01We will help them to develop their business and, of course, financial support to help them to bring their ideas
00:18:08to their life.
00:18:09I can't wait to see you.
00:18:11Take care and stay tuned.
00:18:17The godfather has spoken.
00:18:20So thank you, Edouard.
00:18:21Unfortunately, he couldn't be here tonight, but that was a fantastic message.
00:18:24I also have to thank all of you in the audience for being patient with me because I have to
00:18:28pronounce a lot of French names up here tonight.
00:18:31And I only took a few years of French in high school, so hopefully it's paying off just a little
00:18:35bit.
00:18:36Just a little bit.
00:18:37But next up, we're going to be announcing the managing director of Viva Tech to the stage, Francois Bituze.
00:18:54Hello, everyone.
00:18:55Hello.
00:18:57Do you have a few words for us, Francois?
00:18:59Yes, please.
00:19:00I'm so happy to be here with you to announce the results of the Africa Tech Awards.
00:19:06This is something that is very important at Viva Tech, and I have to say also it's very important for
00:19:11me.
00:19:12Because since the very beginning of Viva Tech, we always have done a great job with Africa.
00:19:19Not because we consider it's a question of development, but it's a question of leadership.
00:19:26The question is to acknowledge the incredible leadership of Africa in tech and digital.
00:19:32And all the startups that have been finalists this year, and all the startups that will win tonight, they deserve
00:19:41their place at Viva Tech, and they deserve their place at the front front of tech at a global scale.
00:19:49So this is the purpose of the Africa Tech Award, and I will let you know in a few seconds
00:19:54who are the winners.
00:19:56Oh, but before we get to that, Francois, I want to thank a couple more people, including our knowledge partners
00:20:02for this award, Deloitte, who has been working with Viva Tech since the very first edition of the Africa Tech
00:20:08Awards in 2022.
00:20:09So it's been around for a while.
00:20:11That's fantastic.
00:20:12They've helped us screen over 500 applications to narrow it down to the top 45 most promising companies.
00:20:20So thank you, Deloitte, for your unwavering support.
00:20:22And now, ladies and gentlemen, here are the finalists of the Africa Tech Awards.

00:21:14So congratulations to all of our finalists.

00:21:28Can we get a drum roll?
00:21:31Suspense, suspense, suspense.
00:21:33So we start with the winner of the green tech, which is Plentify.
00:21:44Congratulations, Plentify.

00:21:56I'm trying to be romantic.
00:21:58I'll hit it from the back.
00:21:59You don't get attached.
00:22:02You can just, you know, stay on up here for a bit.
00:22:06I can tell it miss, miss, miss, miss.
00:22:08I'm trying to be romantic.
00:22:10I'll hit it from the back.
00:22:12I'll hit it from the back.
00:22:13I'll hit it from the back.

00:22:47Remedy.
00:22:49Remedy, congratulations.
00:23:00All right, here you are.
00:23:04So I think now there's one grand prize winner out of our three winners up here already.
00:23:10So you get a double prize.
00:23:12Exactly.
00:23:13And who is that, Francois?
00:23:14So I stop with the suspense.
00:23:16It's Remedy.
00:23:18All right.
00:23:28A second trophy for you.
00:23:33One more round of applause for all of our winners.
00:23:37All right, let's come up and take some photos.
00:23:43All right, strike a pose.
00:24:03Okay, thank you so much.
00:24:07Now everybody except Remedy can please leave the stage.
00:24:11And Remedy, it is yours to pitch for three minutes.
00:24:15You have a microphone and a clicker?
00:24:17Take it away.
00:24:20Hello, everyone.
00:24:21My name is Salma, and I'm the founder and CEO of Remedy.
00:24:25And we bring diagnostics to underserved markets.
00:24:28So my grandfather was a hepatitis C patient, and he lost his life to the disease predominantly
00:24:34due to a late diagnosis.
00:24:35But this is not just my story.
00:24:38There are millions of patients that are still suffering every day in Africa because they
00:24:42cannot afford or access proper diagnostics.
00:24:45And the reason for that is that 98% of diagnostics on the continent are imported, resulting in a low
00:24:51test availability and an inflated test cost.
00:24:53But more importantly, 90% of these imported tests are not suited for use in the region,
00:24:59given their instability in hot climates and the need for highly equipped labs.
00:25:03And as a result, the entire region remains under-tested and under-diagnosed.
00:25:09At Remedy, we solve this problem because we manufacture diagnostic testing solutions from locally sourced
00:25:15material that are specifically suited for use in low-resource setting and hence making testing
00:25:21affordable and accessible to everyone.
00:25:23So we develop the test based on in-house R&D, we manufacture them in our own manufacturing
00:25:28facilities, and we sell them to medical labs and hospitals, whether public or private.
00:25:33We offer PCR tests and mobile laboratory equipment, and we are a very young company.
00:25:39Within two years of operations, we have developed, licensed, and launched 30 tests, including those
00:25:45for HIV, tuberculosis, and catering to the massively underserved issue of women's health,
00:25:50a test for cancer of the cervix.
00:25:53We also offer a range of battery-operated equipment that brings our tests to the villages
00:25:58at point of care.
00:25:59And if we look at the diagnostics market in the region, it's quite huge.
00:26:03And unfortunately, it is completely dominated by international competition, because local
00:26:09competition does not develop similar technologies.
00:26:12But unlike all the competition, we develop specifically for underserved markets.
00:26:18Our patented technology makes our tests stable at high temperatures, reducing the need for
00:26:22cold-chain logistics.
00:26:24Our testing procedure is shorter, requiring half of the needed equipment.
00:26:28We are six times more affordable, with efficiency equal to major suppliers.
00:26:32Within two years, today we are enabling the testing of 50,000 patients each month, working
00:26:38with 92 hospitals and labs in Egypt, selling in four countries, and expanding to two other
00:26:43by the end of the year, while maintaining healthy unit economics, and we were able to grow our
00:26:48revenue 15 times in one year.
00:26:52Allow me to introduce the team.
00:26:54We are 38 team members, 60 percent female, 50 percent youth, with six years of collective
00:26:58experience.
00:26:59I am humbled to be leading them.
00:27:01I have a PhD in nanomedicine from the University of Bonn.
00:27:04I have led the national consortium that has developed COVID tests in Egypt, and I'm also a
00:27:09mother of an eight-year-old boy who is super engaged and loves his lab coat.
00:27:14While we are solving for Africa, this is a problem of the global south.
00:27:18Four billion people representing a $30 billion market.
00:27:21So let's stand together for equitable access to diagnostics.
00:27:25Thank you.
00:27:30Very well deserved.
00:27:31Thank you so much.
00:27:33One more round of applause for all of our winners in the Africa Tech category.
00:27:42All right.
00:27:43So now it is time to move on to the next award.
00:27:46We're keeping going here.
00:27:47This is the Innovation of the Year Award.
00:28:14That song is pretty catchy, you know.
00:28:16I've heard it a couple times now.
00:28:18So to kick off this award and tell us a bit more about it, I would like to invite Chief
00:28:22Ecosystem Officer at Viva Tech, Olivia LV, to the stage.
00:28:33Hello, Olivia.
00:28:34Hi, Isabelle.
00:28:35Thank you.
00:28:36Yeah.
00:28:36Hi, everyone.
00:28:37Very happy to be with you tonight.
00:28:39And I'm particularly excited with this one, Innovation of the Year, for different reasons.
00:28:47Because first, it's capture the spirit of Viva Tech, celebrating bold technologies, game-changing
00:28:56solutions, and startups who are building innovative products that are shaping the future.
00:29:01But also, it celebrates exhibiting startups at Viva Tech this week.
00:29:07This year, we have more than 2,400 exhibiting startups.
00:29:13That's amazing.
00:29:14And before announcing the winner, I would like to thank you, Isabelle, and to say a big,
00:29:20big thank you to TechCrunch.
00:29:22Because you're not only the partner of this big ceremony, but TechCrunch is also the knowledge
00:29:28partner of the Innovation of the Year.
00:29:31So meaning that they went through so many, many applications.
00:29:34Actually, you did the job.
00:29:35It was a lot of applications and a lot of fantastic startups.
00:29:38It was very difficult to decide, but it was such a pleasure working with you, and we're
00:29:42really honored to be part of it.
00:29:44A pleasure, too.
00:29:46So is that time to announce the winner?
00:29:49I'm going to announce the finalists first.
00:29:51One, yeah, quick drum roll.
00:29:53So we're going to, yes, please, roll the video of our finalists for the Innovation of the
00:29:58Year award.
00:30:02First up, we have Beyond Math.
00:30:06We have Chiperon, EnerDrape, HuaTek, and LumiSync.
00:30:19Big round of applause to all of our finalists, please.
00:30:26And now it is time to reveal the winner.
00:30:31And so the winner is Chiperon.
00:30:34Yay.
00:30:37Come on up, Chiperon.
00:30:40There he is.
00:30:51Congratulations.
00:30:53We can come on up here and take a photo.
00:30:56Say cheese.
00:31:06All right.
00:31:08Congratulations.
00:31:09Thank you, Olivia.
00:31:12And the stage is yours for three minutes.
00:31:14Take it away.
00:31:15Thank you very much.
00:31:17Congrats to all the finalists.
00:31:19Very tough to get after RBD.
00:31:21Great pitch just before, but the thematic is the same, so hopefully you will be with me.
00:31:26So we are Chiperon, I'm Evan, the CEO, and we aim to shape the future of healthcare by building
00:31:32a new generation of MRI machines that are light, inexpensive, and versatile because they
00:31:38work at a very low magnetic field.
00:31:40And I will explain to you why we're doing this by starting with this very simple statement
00:31:45that most deadly diseases could be efficiently cured through early diagnosis and image-guided
00:31:52therapies using MRI.
00:31:54However, for this to be true worldwide, we would need the availability of MRI, the number of
00:32:01machines, to be up by a factor of 100, which would require a ton of innovations in hardware,
00:32:07AI algorithms, and business model.
00:32:10The problem is that current technology will never be able to meet such demand because today's
00:32:15machines are way too cumbersome, they cost too much money, they consume too much energy
00:32:20as well, and they bring too many patient incompatibilities.
00:32:22And all these problems have the exact same source, which is the fact that today's machines rely
00:32:28on the use of very intense magnetic fields that need to be generated by big, powerful super
00:32:33magnetic magnets.
00:32:36So here's where we come in.
00:32:38We are Chiperon and we're building a very low magnetic field machine, so basically we remove
00:32:44the big super magnetic magnets and we work in a way that it produces great images anyway.
00:32:50This removes all the constraints of scalability and our machine doesn't necessitate any shielded
00:32:56room to be operated, doesn't bring any MRI incompatibilities, can be operated by someone that is not
00:33:02highly qualified and doesn't need any heavy cryogenics to run.
00:33:06And this is what we mean when we say that we want to reshape the future of healthcare.
00:33:10We go from an old, very big and cumbersome machine toward a small, easy to operate one.
00:33:17This enables new use cases, among which cancer screenings.
00:33:22Think about per-operatory guidance and post-operatory monitoring as well.
00:33:27Treatments monitoring, chemotherapies and Alzheimer's drugs are good examples.
00:33:31And lastly, in the context in Western countries of aging population, there's an increase in
00:33:38the need for monitoring chronic diseases.
00:33:41We've been, the company has been started four years ago and we're pretty proud of what we've
00:33:46achieved in the meantime.
00:33:48We've raised 19 million euros.
00:33:50We have five families of patents, huge technological developments to make this machine a reality.
00:33:56We have an international DNA in Europe and in the US from the very beginning.
00:34:03And we have a user's community of more than 200 radiologist and clinicians that have been helping us
00:34:09in advisoring since the beginning.
00:34:12And that's why I'm sure we're going to make it.
00:34:14Thank you very much.
00:34:16Thank you so much.
00:34:19Congratulations again.
00:34:20And I have to say, I am very happy to know that there are innovators like you out there helping
00:34:24to make
00:34:24healthcare more accessible, so really, thank you.
00:34:31Okay, ladies and gentlemen, it's now time for our very next award, the Tech for Change Award.
00:35:02and to tell us more about this award, I would like to invite Marie Echelan to the stage, CEO and
00:35:10founder of 2050.
00:35:18Do we have a Marie?
00:35:20Marie, hello.
00:35:22Hello.
00:35:23Welcome, welcome.
00:35:25Thank you.
00:35:26You know, Marie, so at Viva Tech, they like to say two things.
00:35:30And the first is that they believe in celebrating the innovators of tomorrow.
00:35:34And the slightly catchier version of that is in tech, we trust.
00:35:39And so on that note, I would like to ask you about this brand new award that's meant to celebrate
00:35:44impact-driven startups.
00:35:47So I have a few questions for you, if you don't mind.
00:35:49The first one is that, in your opinion, how can tech be a tool to address major challenges of our
00:35:55society
00:35:56and support in the sustainable transition?
00:36:00Well, tech is incredibly important for us to be able to do that.
00:36:05And when you listen to, I think in three or four very different ways.
00:36:11The first one is, if you really want to address the key challenges that we have, like environmental challenges
00:36:17or health challenges, for example, what you first need to do is to understand the problems
00:36:22and be able to, if you want to act upon it.
00:36:26And so, for example, building and collecting a data infrastructure that is actually pointing to us,
00:36:33making us understand that is super key.
00:36:36And it's not only about collecting the right data, let it be for health or for the soil health
00:36:41or for the ocean health or whatever.
00:36:44It's also about interconnecting it all over the place so we can actually build intelligence on it.
00:36:50And we can see if the actions that we're putting in place are actually solving the problems.
00:36:55So I think the first big thing is about the data.
00:36:58The second big thing, which is kind of counterintuitive,
00:37:01is that we actually need tech to be able to build nature-based solutions and to scale them.
00:37:08And why is that?
00:37:10Because if you think even like coral reef restoration,
00:37:13the capacity to be able to stress test and to augment the growth of the coral reef on land,
00:37:20they have companies doing it thanks to 3D camera combined with AI, combined with different types of
00:37:27lights that are making nature bring its capacity of growing and stress testing it for acid water
00:37:35or different temperatures.
00:37:36So you can actually really use technology to scale nature-based solutions.
00:37:40That's a different thing.
00:37:42And the last piece I would add is how can we use the resource in a more frugal way,
00:37:48right, and optimize it or to build circular economies and things like that.
00:37:53So very different way of using technology.
00:37:55But one thing which is going and I see it more and more is that it needs to talk to
00:38:01science
00:38:02and different types of science like physics and biology and mathematics.
00:38:07And so it needs to talk to different types of science, but also to the industry.
00:38:12And this link is really important to do.
00:38:15No, it's very interesting.
00:38:16And I mean, you know, of course the data problem and all of us thinking that there's a big environmental
00:38:20crisis related to the data storage, but also the fact that they go hand in hand and we need both
00:38:25to be able to move to the next step.
00:38:27So one more question for you here, which is more closely related to startups and your work on the ground.
00:38:33So why is it essential to highlight impact startups, especially in challenging times?
00:38:39Well, because they bring solutions.
00:38:43And in challenging times, people feel sometimes they're doomed.
00:38:47You know, this is the idea that we cannot do anything about it.
00:38:51Whereas we all know future is what we write.
00:38:55And when you have entrepreneurs who are building all these solutions and they're writing and shaping the future.
00:39:01And we as investor, if we back them, we are also shaping the future and directions that we're choosing.
00:39:06And that is really important.
00:39:08So I think the first thing is it shows these solutions are out there.
00:39:12But then the second thing is what I have seen by backing impact entrepreneurs is that when you have,
00:39:22when you're driven by a mission that is bigger than you, you actually always find the resource,
00:39:27or it's easier for you to find the resource to overcome all the challenges that everyone has in
00:39:32building innovative startups or innovative companies.
00:39:35It comes with it.
00:39:36I mean, that's the job.
00:39:37Yeah.
00:39:38But when you're, you know, driven by this, you find unexpected resource.
00:39:42And usually they're way more ambitious because this is what they want to achieve.
00:39:46It really drives them.
00:39:47I love that.
00:39:48So the resourcefulness when you're really driven by something that is existential in many ways.
00:39:53A hundred percent.
00:39:54Fantastic.
00:39:54So thank you.
00:39:55We really are lucky to have you here.
00:39:57Even in those few minutes, I learned a lot.
00:39:59So thank you for being here.
00:40:01And before we move on to the announcement of our winners, we just want to say that again,
00:40:05over 500 startups applied for this award.
00:40:09And more than 325 have officially been labeled as tech for change.
00:40:14And they're showcased here at Viva Tech.
00:40:16That is fantastic.
00:40:17Can we get a round of applause for these companies, please?
00:40:23And a big thank you to our knowledge partner for this award, Accionable,
00:40:28with whom we've been working for years.
00:40:30They helped us identify and label all of these companies as impact-driven startups.
00:40:35And our goal next year is to reach 1,000 tech for change startups.
00:40:40So if you're out there sitting on an idea that can have a positive impact on this world,
00:40:44now is the chance to have a spot at Viva Tech 2026.
00:40:49So get those wheels turning.
00:40:51And now it's time to announce our finalists for this award.
00:40:58I always dreamt to do something like this.
00:41:01And the winner is.
00:41:02Wait, wait, not quite yet.
00:41:04No.
00:41:04We have Aviolix and BKey and Genesis, Lumen,
00:41:14and Reveal AI.
00:41:18All right, one big round of applause for all of our five finalists.
00:41:25All right.
00:41:26And now Marie is so eager to give the award, please.
00:41:29I can do it twice.
00:41:30Do it twice, do it three times, take it away.
00:41:33That's perfect.
00:41:34And so the winner is Genesis with Adrienne de Malray.
00:41:50Thank you, Marie.
00:41:52Congratulations, Genesis.
00:41:53Thank you.
00:41:54Thank you so much.
00:41:55All right.
00:41:56I was really surprised because the other finalists were absolutely fabulous.
00:42:00They are absolutely fabulous.
00:42:02So it's a big surprise for me.
00:42:04All right.
00:42:05Absolutely.
00:42:06We could not agree more, but there is a winner.
00:42:08And the winner should come take a photo with our sponsor.
00:42:10Come on up here.
00:42:14Now with the award, of course.
00:42:16Let me tell you something you don't want to hear.
00:42:24I'm gonna show you where it's going.
00:42:28Okay.
00:42:29All right.
00:42:30Thank you so much, Marie.
00:42:31You can head backstage.
00:42:32We appreciate you.
00:42:33And the stage is yours for your three-minute pitch.
00:42:37Take it away.
00:42:37Thank you.
00:42:40So I'm Adrienne from Genesis.
00:42:42And I'm here to talk about the most undervalued resource on earth, the soil.
00:42:48I know that it's a subject really far from Vivatech.
00:42:52You can see that it's a really, really important subject.
00:42:55Let me begin by a simple truth.
00:42:58No raw materials, no sustainable business.
00:43:01And now, the very foundation of our supply chain is degrading at an alarming rate.
00:43:11This silently threatens all industries depending on lands, more than 50% of our global GDP.
00:43:22Decreasing yields, volatile sourcing are already disrupting our value chain.
00:43:27So we have to change.
00:43:29We have to protect our soils.
00:43:31We have to protect our business.
00:43:34And that's where Genesis come in.
00:43:38We have developed a soil intelligence solution that assess the living health of soils, not just their
00:43:47chemical contents, but also their ecological vitality.
00:43:54We merge this field data with satellite imagery to assess this soil health and to help companies
00:44:04to find the best solution to improve their impact.
00:44:10Our solution helps them to find the best supply chain, the best supply,
00:44:16help them to manage their regenerative program, help them to define their future, the future of their sourcing.
00:44:25So, and why Genesis?
00:44:28Why sets Genesis apart?
00:44:30Since our creation five years ago, we have collected more than 6,000 soil samples of all the world.
00:44:38We have now the critical mass of data that allows us to build some predictive model
00:44:45to anticipate degrading risk, to guide farming practices, or sustainable linked finance.
00:44:55So we have a business model with robust and scalable.
00:45:00We operate B2B with recurrent revenue from major brands in textile, cosmetics, food, solar panels.
00:45:08So you can see that there's many use for this data.
00:45:12And we operate globally in more than 20 countries now, in Latin America, Europe, and Asia.
00:45:22So you see, soil is a new strategic asset.
00:45:29And Genesis is the intelligence layer that will unlock this value.
00:45:34In Genesis, we think that all our lands are essential and we have the data to prove it.
00:45:42Thank you so much.
00:45:43And thanks for this prize.
00:45:46Thank you so much for that.
00:45:48And again, congratulations.
00:45:50All right, everyone.
00:45:52The time has come for our very last award of the evening.
00:45:58But what better way to end the evening than with celebrating the new generation of entrepreneurs?
00:46:05So it's time now for the next start-upper challenge.
00:46:09Thank you.
00:46:34Okay, and so again, it's our last award of the evening, and it's a big one.
00:46:38This is the seventh edition of the next start-upper challenge,
00:46:42a prize that is dedicated to student entrepreneurs leading high-impact projects.
00:46:48So this year, the award is supported by French founders as a knowledge partner
00:46:52and shines a spotlight on six outstanding companies.
00:46:56But before we meet them, let's hear a few words from our president and French Chamber of Commerce
00:47:02and Industry, Alain Di Crescenzo.
00:47:09Dear candidate, dear friends, I'm very happy to represent for the third year
00:47:14the Chamber of Commerce and Industry as a partner of the next start-upper challenge.
00:47:19I want to congratulate all of you.
00:47:22You are here because you showed boldness, you took risks, and you took your destiny into your own hands
00:47:28by embarking on this entrepreneurial adventure.
00:47:34You choose to combine entrepreneurship, innovation, and education.
00:47:39Three key words that are the heart of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry missions.
00:47:43Indeed, on one hand, we are the French leading network for supporting businesses across the country.
00:47:51And on the other hand, we are the first education network in France after national education.
00:47:58On a more personal note, I want to encourage you in your approach, especially in the current global context.
00:48:07The country needs dynamic people like you.
00:48:10Our country needs ideas to stand out from our competitors.
00:48:15Ideas to gain competitiveness.
00:48:17For all those reasons, I'm very honoured to congratulate the winner who will be disclosed in a couple of minutes.
00:48:24But I have a message for every finalist.
00:48:28There is one winner, but all of you are also winners because you represent the future of our economy.

00:48:49Those are inspiring words.
00:48:50And indeed, we are looking at the future of our economy.
00:48:53That gives me goosebumps.
00:48:55Okay.
00:48:56So now we are pleased to welcome to the stage Julie Houget, Director of the French Tech Mission.
00:49:06Go DJ Julia!

00:49:15Thank you for joining us.
00:49:18So yesterday, you attended the pitch session for this competition, didn't you?
00:49:23Can you tell us a bit about the next generation of entrepreneurs?
00:49:26What are your thoughts?
00:49:27Yeah, sure.
00:49:28But first, wow, I'm impressed by this stage, by you entrepreneurs, by this energy today.
00:49:34And yesterday, maybe just first, with Mission French Tech, we support the growth of French
00:49:41startups in France and abroad.
00:49:43So I used to meet a lot of entrepreneurs, but yesterday, I was really impressed.
00:49:49And we were all really impressed by these young talents.
00:49:54They were brilliant.
00:49:56Their projects were really brilliant.
00:49:58And actually, it was very complicated to choose the winner.
00:50:04Yeah, so complicated.
00:50:05In fact, I hear we have an honorable mention this evening as well.
00:50:10So we discussed a lot.
00:50:12Yeah, I can only imagine.
00:50:14That's a really tough job.
00:50:15I don't envy you for that one.
00:50:18Awesome.
00:50:18So let's time, let's announce the finalists, shall we?
00:50:23The six finalists?

00:50:36Yes, sure.
00:50:36We're talking to you.
00:50:38So this message is for you.
00:50:40It's just the beginning.
00:50:41I heard you yesterday.
00:50:43And I can tell you will innovate.
00:50:45You will be very successful.
00:50:48So congratulations to all of you.
00:50:53Absolutely.
00:50:55Thank you for that.
00:50:56And now, what's the moment you are waiting for?
00:50:58Let's look at our six finalists, please.
00:51:02So like I said, we discuss a lot.
00:51:05So we decide to...
00:51:07First, we're going to quickly run through the finalists,
00:51:09just so everyone knows who they are.
00:51:11We have Artemisia, Atmosphere, Awoken,
00:51:16Fair Connect, Greeny Solutions, and Young's Jobs.
00:51:27So congratulations to all of the finalists
00:51:29on your outstanding solutions.
00:51:32And to be so creative and so innovative at a young age
00:51:35is truly, truly inspiring.
00:51:37So huge congratulations.
00:51:39The winner of this award will also receive a 5,000 euro check.
00:51:43Hey, hey.
00:51:44And a startup corner at the 2026 VivaTech
00:51:47and a French Founders membership.
00:51:50Not too bad.
00:51:52Not too bad.
00:51:52That's fantastic.
00:51:54And Julie, I know that we couldn't really only pick one winner tonight,
00:51:59could we?
00:52:00No, impossible.
00:52:01It was impossible.
00:52:02It was impossible.
00:52:03So we decided to have the main winner, but also a coup de coeur.
00:52:09Okay.
00:52:10Well, take it away.
00:52:11Let us know who they are.
00:52:14So the winner is Zied Madini with Greeny Solutions.
00:52:31I'll take that one.
00:52:32Sorry, sorry.
00:52:34I'm sorry.
00:52:36Congratulations.
00:52:37We can come on back to the middle here.
00:52:39Congratulations.
00:52:40Let's have you two take some photos up at the front.
00:52:43Why don't we?
00:52:43But in front of the podium, strike a pose, say cheese.
00:52:49And I guess now the suspense is a little bit gone for our honorable mention.
00:52:54But let's also bring up Artemisia to the stage.
00:53:02Here you are.
00:53:04Here you are.
00:53:05Now all three together.
00:53:08You are a child.
00:53:10You're crawling on your knees.
00:53:12Toilet.
00:53:14You make your mom so proud.
00:53:18Once your voice is too loud.
00:53:25All right.
00:53:26And our check for Greeny Solutions.
00:53:29Here you are.
00:53:32Let's take some pictures with that.
00:53:34Why don't we?
00:53:35Want to come hang out with me?
00:53:38This is a fun corner.
00:53:39It's a fun corner.
00:53:41Congratulations.
00:53:52All right.
00:53:53So congratulations to Greeny Solutions and Artemisia.
00:53:56And thank you to our sponsors.
00:53:59We will leave Greeny Solutions to the stage to pitch.
00:54:03The floor is yours.
00:54:05That's a good spot for that.
00:54:07Hello, everyone.
00:54:07Thank you so much.
00:54:09And thanks to all the finalists.
00:54:12So my name is Zied and I'm the co-founder of Greeny Solutions.
00:54:15And I'm here today to talk about the future of farming.
00:54:19Indoor, smart, and super sustainable.
00:54:22It's big, it's bold, and it's going to change everything.
00:54:28Indoor farming is booming and the market is valued at $48 billion.
00:54:33And it's growing so fast, 30% every single year.
00:54:38That's huge.
00:54:39Last year alone, we've been able to produce more than 4 million tons of food through indoor farming.
00:54:46And guess what?
00:54:48The best part, it uses 90% less water, grows food nine times faster, no pesticide, no transportation needed, no
00:54:58gas emission, no pollution.
00:55:00It's clean, it's efficient, it's the future.
00:55:03And it's happening now.
00:55:06But here is the deal.
00:55:07Right now, indoor farming, it's way too complicated.
00:55:11And farmers spend hours, I'm talking about eight hours a day, checking numbers, writing things down, punching data in spreadsheets.
00:55:21It's a mess.
00:55:22It's old school, and it's too expensive.
00:55:25Disease, energy builds, and a human error.
00:55:29It's killing the business.
00:55:30That's where we come in.
00:55:32Greeny Solutions, a game changer.
00:55:35We've built a smart box, super sleek, super smart.
00:55:38You plug it in, and boom, it works.
00:55:42Sensors, cameras, AI, it's all there.
00:55:46It just works.
00:55:47We've already tested it with more than six early adapters.
00:55:51And the results are amazing.
00:55:55And now, farmers can see everything live.
00:55:58They can control everything, anywhere, anytime.
00:56:01They can analyze fast, and the best part, they can predict and stop problems before they even happen.
00:56:08Now, our business model, we sell the box for $1,499.
00:56:14That's it.
00:56:15And then, a subscription for our software, autopilot, data storage, co-pilot, all the smart stuff.
00:56:22It's for $399 a year.
00:56:26And now, we are targeting just farms that are growing 500 to 5,000 square meters.
00:56:32We're in cities.
00:56:33We're in schools.
00:56:33We're going big in Southern Europe, North Africa, and Minera region.
00:56:37And guess what?
00:56:39People love it.
00:56:40Orange loves it.
00:56:42The South Mediterranean University loves it.
00:56:46Even HEC Paris picked us, and that's amazing.
00:56:50We've got a killer team, real experts, AI, software, agriculture, businesses.
00:56:56We're passionate, we're smart, and we're getting it done fast.
00:57:01And we are raising 250K.
00:57:04That's all we need to grow faster, build better, and win bigger.
00:57:09You want to be part of the future?
00:57:10Now is the time.
00:57:12It's smart, it's sustainable, it's greeny, and it's going to be huge.
00:57:17Thank you so much.
00:57:20Thank you, Greeny Solutions.
00:57:24Fantastic pitch.
00:57:25You can leave the clicker, but take the check.
00:57:27That's a much better deal, I think.
00:57:29All right.
00:57:30Thank you so much.
00:57:31You can head right off stage.
00:57:32And that, ladies and gentlemen, brings us to the end.
00:57:35So again, a huge congratulations to all of our winners tonight.
00:57:39One last round of applause.
00:57:43And thank you to all of VivaTech's partners, sponsors,
00:57:46knowledge partners, and jury members.
00:57:48Tonight would not have been made possible without all of our collective efforts.
00:57:52So really, truly, thank you.
00:57:54And of course, big thank you to our winners and your amazing pitches.
00:57:57You are truly impressive, and we cannot wait to see what your future holds.
00:58:01And of course, we would like to thank all of the applicants
00:58:04to these various pitch competitions.
00:58:05It was really a pleasure to dig into all of the innovative solutions
00:58:09coming across so many different industries.
00:58:12And we would not be here without the brilliant minds of entrepreneurs.
00:58:15So we look forward to seeing all of you in the halls of VivaTech until June 14th.
00:58:21And now, I would like to invite all of the finalists and jury members and sponsors
00:58:25to the stage for a photo, please.
00:58:28Start making your way up here.
00:58:30And to our lovely audience, thank you and good night.
00:58:33Thank you.
