01:00Viva Tech, please make some noise.
01:01Hi, everyone.
01:03Okay, I have one game.
01:05I say Viva, you say Tech.
01:07Okay, let's try.
01:08Viva.
01:08Tech.
01:09Okay, no, I can't hear you.
01:11Viva.
01:11Tech.
01:12No.
01:13Viva.
01:13Tech.
01:14We are doing a little battle to see if you are ready to listen to us.
01:19Okay, this side.
01:20Viva.
01:21Yes.
01:22No, it's two.
01:24Viva.
01:25Yes.
01:25Okay, this side.
01:27Viva.
01:28Tech.
01:28Okay, just one more time.
01:30All together, Viva.
01:32Tech.
01:32Okay, thank you so much.
01:33We are so happy to be here today with Ryan.
01:36Yes, hi, I'm Ryan.
01:38I'm with Emily from the Impact Team at Viva Tech.
01:41So, Emily, why are we wearing this purple t-shirt?
01:45Yes, so cool.
01:46Purple t-shirt, you see.
01:47So, we are doing a four-day hackathon on the bridge for tackling one issue.
01:53How to have more women in Tech.
01:55Did you know we have Elon Musk on stage on Friday?
02:00Maybe in two years, we will have some woman called Lea Musk.
02:05How we do to have more women in Tech?
02:07And so, we are here today because we need your help with this question.
02:11That's great.
02:12And how can we participate today?
02:15Okay, so we are going to do a little game.
02:18You will need to scan this QR code.
02:21We are going to show you the QR code on screen.
02:25The idea is really that we really need your help today.
02:29Yeah, and I'm sure you already have some terrible ideas.
02:34Okay, what's your idea?
02:36Let's try.
02:37What's your idea for more women in Tech, Ryan?
02:40Well, I think we have to encourage women to learn scientific fields at school
02:47and educate them about being in the tech industry.
02:51Okay, everyone, did you screen the QR code?
02:55Okay, everyone, let's raise your hand if you screen the QR code.
02:58Everyone, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
03:01Great.
03:01Okay, not enough raising hands, guys.
03:04Okay, let's screen the QR code.
03:06Let's try and give your ID.
03:10Can we see the ID?
03:11Emily, what's your ID?
03:13Okay, I think we should have more role models in the COMEX and all the direction of all the company.
03:21I don't know if the company can hear me here,
03:24but I think we should have more women in the C-level top position to inspire young people.
03:31And maybe in the school, maybe we should do some coding, even when we are small.
03:37Great solution.
03:39Who wants the mic to tell us here or hers already out loud?
03:46Someone has a great ID.
03:49Okay, don't be shy, guys.
03:59Someone wants to share their ID.
04:01There is no wrong ID.
04:03All ID are welcome.
04:05Okay, yes, one ID here.
04:08Can we give her a clap, please?
04:10Woohoo!
04:15I think we could encourage women to join training, especially for women.
04:25For example, we are a company which is Winside.
04:30And in this company, we encourage women to learn more about digital, especially for no-code.
04:41Do you know no-code?
04:42Okay.
04:43So here are the alumni, right here.
04:47And they participated in this formation, in this training, and they were able to have some skills in digital.
05:05So, for example, they were able to create some sit-web, some web app, applications, and especially for non-profit
05:18organization.
05:20So that's it.
05:21Okay, thank you.
05:22What's your name?
05:23Manel.
05:24Okay, Manel, thank you.
05:25Can we give a clap to Manel, please?
05:28Okay, is everyone has an ID?
05:32Okay, don't be shy, guys.
05:35Okay, there is one ID.
05:37Maybe we can read it.
05:42More lessons at school, coding lessons for free at school, or even as an extra activity on Wednesday.
05:48Okay, who sent this ID?
05:50Okay, do you want to say a little bit more?
05:54Okay, what's your name?
05:56Lena?
05:58Thank you.
06:00Okay, more ID, guys.
06:01Do you have more ID for more women in tech, more women in the tech industry, more women entrepreneurs, more
06:11women that access to funds when they have a startup?
06:16Okay, we have one more ID.
06:17Yeah, and you can see that there is a lot of IDs already collected.
06:22Hey.
06:23Maybe, Abelie, you can tell us which ID is your favorite.
06:29I just read this one, and then, yes, I can say.
06:32Okay, okay, two more ID, help girls and women work on their confidence and self-esteem, it's about mindset.
06:38Who sent this ID?
06:40Okay, do you want to say a little bit more?
06:44Okay, thank you so much.
06:47Aki, okay, it's in French.
06:51Mentoring at an ideal age, yes, that's true.
06:54I think it's beginning really at the, when we are really young.
06:58I really like this ID.
06:59Do you have two or three more ID, and then we can vote for your favorite one?
07:09Use ID, Abelie, to develop business ID.
07:13What is this?
07:14Okay, do you want to explain?
07:17We want explanations.
07:19So, hi.
07:20Yes, so for all the ladies, young ladies, older ones who want to develop their ideas, to form a startup,
07:28or to develop any kind of business,
07:31if you don't have any background in entrepreneurship, business planning, you can use IdeaBuddy, because it's a very friendly and
07:38user-friendly tool,
07:40and you can learn the basics and make your own business plan, develop your ideas step-by-step.
07:45So, please, you have a free trial, and you can check out our app.
07:51And you can do all of the things by yourself.
07:53You don't need any support.
07:55Thanks.
07:56Thank you so much.
07:58Yes, thank you very much.
07:59So, you can see there is a lot of ideas just right here, and we really ask you to go
08:04and vote for the ideas that you prefer.
08:08You can just vote on the klaxon keyboard.
08:11You go double-tap on a post-it, and put a like.
08:15Okay, it's coming, it's coming.
08:17There is one more company, like 15Tech.
08:21Where is 15Tech here?
08:22Who posts this ID?
08:25Okay, more companies, like 15Tech, that help entrepreneurs to identify an higher woman in tech.
08:30I don't know if you know, but 15Tech is here at VivaTech.
08:33They will have an award on Friday, and they have a boost here.
08:38But yes, great idea.
08:40Stop telling women what and what and how they should do things.
08:45Right.
08:45Who sent this?
08:48Yes, right.
08:49Okay.
08:50Do you have more ID?
08:52And then we can go to the vote phase.
08:57Okay, two votes for this one, okay.
09:02Maybe we can vote for your favorite ID.
09:05You can...
09:10Okay, three for the more listens at school.
09:14Maybe someone wants to tell us which ID is.
09:19These are her favorites, and why.
09:24Who put some likes in it?
09:29Hello, guys.
09:30I just saw you arrive.
09:32Do you have some ID for more women in tech?
09:37You can scan the QR code and post your ID.
09:41Okay, we have a few minutes left.
09:44Do you have some...
09:45Okay, create programs that combine, for example,
09:47sport and startup creation to initiate them very early.
09:51Okay, who posts this ID?
09:53Okay, do you want to say something about it?
09:56That's...
09:57Okay.
09:57Thank you so much for your ID.
10:00Okay.
10:03Okay, we have a few minutes left.
10:07Last chance to post your ID and to have it on the big screen.
10:11Yeah, and if you don't have any ID, you can just go and vote.
10:13Okay.
10:20No, last...
10:21Maybe.
10:22No, no one.
10:27Okay, guys.
10:28Do you...
10:29Hello.
10:31How...
10:32On your mind, how do you think we should do to have more women in tech?
10:37Do you know, guys?
10:39Do you have an ID?
10:46Okay, just two minutes left.
10:48Do you...
10:48Just last call.
10:49Do you have an ID?
10:50Do you want to vote for your favorite one?
10:54Okay, we have three...
10:56This one, we have three votes.
10:59Okay.
11:02Maybe, don't be shy.
11:03Someone wants to share an ID, maybe not on the screen, but with me.
11:08No, all good.
11:13Yeah, we just got another ID, mentoring at the earlier age.
11:17Okay.
11:19Okay, we have more, more, more ID here.
11:24Okay, more...
11:25Okay, community of women in the company, about leadership.
11:34Maternity leave.
11:36Okay.
11:37With team building for when the women come back after the maternity leave.
11:42Okay.
11:44Okay, more women in the comex, in all the direction, position.
11:54Recruitment process, more diversified.
11:57Okay.
12:03Okay.
12:04Last call, two minutes left.
12:06Do you have some ID?
12:06Okay, maybe, we just finished.
12:11One ID had the more votes, more lessons at schools, coding lessons for free.
12:18Okay.
12:22Okay.
12:24One last call, no?
12:25More ID?
12:29Okay.
12:30Just to finish the session, if you have more ID during the day, we will be at the bridge.
12:37So, over there, we have all the purple t-shirts.
12:41You can see us with it.
12:43If you have more ID about how to have more women in tech, you can come to the bridge and
12:47post your ID.
12:48We are here all days, all the four days at VivaTech.
12:52Today and tomorrow, you can come at the bridge or to people who have this t-shirt and share your
12:57ID.
12:58And we will be really happy to have you and have your ID on this project.
13:02And don't hesitate to talk about this hackathon on your team so they can come and vote and post their
13:09ID.
13:09Yeah.
13:10Thank you for your participation.
13:12As Emily said, you can share your IDs and your votes today, but also tomorrow.
13:18And on Friday, we will organize an acceleration workshop.
13:24So, let us know if you're interested.
13:26And you can join us on Saturday, on stage one, to discover the elected ID that will be supported by
13:35VivaTech and Maker Foundation.
13:37Thank you so much.
13:38Just to, because maybe you are a little bit sleepy, we do one more VivaTech.
13:43Okay.
13:43The new people, we do it.
13:44Viva.
13:46Okay.
13:47Louder, please.
13:48Viva.
13:48Yes, louder.
13:50Viva.
13:51Okay.
13:52Thank you so much.
13:53And we see you on the bridge.
13:54Thank you so much.
13:56Okay.
13:56Round of applause for the good luck.
13:58Thank you very much, guys.
13:59Thank you.
13:59Well done.
14:01Alrighty.
14:03We're going to keep this running like a tight ship.
14:05So, the next, and I'll say the next act, or the next speaker actually comes from a company called ItalDesign,
14:12and his name is Nicola.
14:15And they have a really impressive architectural project, which is basically a vehicle that is horizontal and vertical.
14:24Here to tell you more, I would like to introduce Nicola from ItalDesign to tell you more.
14:32Nicola, is he going to come out that door?
14:39Oh, yes.
14:40Yeah.
14:42He took some time to assemble the mic.
14:44No worries.
14:45No worries.
14:46Hi, everybody.
14:47Can you hear me well?
14:49Nice to join us and me, especially here on the discovery stage.
14:53And what I'm going to tell you is, sorry, but I missed the, I have to change the slides here.
15:04Ah, perfect.
15:05Thanks a lot.
15:10So, what I'm going to tell you today is something more about our project that we presented in CAs in
15:15Las Vegas this year in January.
15:16And that's called Climby.
15:18That's a future mobility vision by TalDesign.
15:21That's the company where I work.
15:22I've been working for ItalDesign for the past seven years, and today I am innovation manager in that company.
15:29But before going to Climby, I would like just to tell you how we came up with this idea and
15:34to explain why this is not just,
15:38let me say, a single project for us, but a vision that's coming through the years dating back 1976.
15:45When we presented to the world the New York taxi, it was designed after a challenge launched by the MoMA,
15:55the Museum of Modern Art, to find a more compact vehicle that could substitute the six meter long taxi that
16:02there were present in New York area back at that time.
16:05The challenge here was hard because we had to put inside this vehicle five people, the driver, the luggage, and
16:12we decided to use more the height of the vehicle instead of the length.
16:16And that's the project that was realized at that time by our head of design, Mr. Giorgetto Giugiaro, that was
16:24named, let me say, designer of the century, so quite an important person.
16:27And we were able to obtain this result just in a four meter long vehicle.
16:33Some years later, in 1978, we presented to the world the Lancia Mega Gamma, that was the first monovolume in
16:41the history of the automotive world.
16:44Also here, the task was to focus a little bit less on design and performance, and a little bit more
16:52on comfort, ergonomics, and services inside the vehicle.
16:56It was possible, also here, to use more space within the cockpit to host many people, and especially to allow
17:05people to feel more comfortable inside the vehicle, okay?
17:11This is the project I love more, and that's called Ital Design Capsula, and here was really an innovative project
17:18for 1982,
17:18because we decided at that time to include all the batteries, all the, sorry, it was an internal combustion engine
17:27vehicle yet,
17:29the driving wheel, the engine, the tank, everything was included in this skid, in the platform,
17:37where we were able to attach multiple services vehicles on it, in a fast and an easy way.
17:43The multi-purpose vehicle, let me say, was born in that time, and the Capsula was the result of really
17:50a huge study conducted by Tal Design on future mobility.
17:54Just think how many vehicles like this you see today in many fairs and events.
17:59Okay, this was, let me say, the first of its kind, and was presented back in 1982.
18:06The next vehicle was instead an electric vehicle, and also here, the challenge was,
18:11okay, it's not really nice, and you maybe don't expect to see a vehicle like this from a huge design
18:17company like we are,
18:18but the challenge is worth to create a compact, sustainable vehicle with an easy access door,
18:25especially for people on wheelchair on the back, that was able to be integrated in especially critical area like historical
18:34city centers,
18:35like just imagine any European city.
18:38At that time, it was really difficult to find space to move huge vehicles like the one we had in
18:451992.
18:48All the concepts we presented till now were taken to the extreme and brought into this concept that was called
18:55pop-up.
18:56Maybe some of you have already seen it, maybe not.
18:59It was presented, the first one, in Genève in 2017.
19:04It was called simply pop-up, and it was a modular vehicle able to combine horizontal and vertical mobility.
19:11The vertical mobility, of course, in this case, was a drone.
19:14The idea was, how can I integrate multiple modes of mobility in just one single vehicle?
19:23And that's the idea that was developed internally.
19:25We didn't realize just a concept, but also a working one-to-four model that was presented to the Amsterdam
19:33Drone Week in 2019.
19:36We realized then a kind of second version that was called pop-up next,
19:39and was realized together with Airbus and Audi.
19:44Airbus for the flying part, Audi, of course, was our partner and, let me say, mother company
19:49that helped us to realize the autonomous skid, the autonomous platform.
19:53And you can see here all the concepts I just presented earlier,
19:57because here the task was to design a compact vehicle, able to move in these really complex city areas,
20:05with an autonomous skid, and with this modularity that was presented in 1992 with the ItalDesign Capsula.
20:16And now, we jump to the project we are presenting today during the event in the mobility corner at booth
20:23D60.
20:24That's the ItalDesign climb, presented in CS in Las Vegas in January.
20:29And I would like to present it by means of a nice video I would like to show now.
21:01Thank you very much.
21:27Thank you very much.
21:43Thank you.

25:23Let me ask you a question, so this concept is pretty ambitious, to say the least.
25:29I think it's the most ambitious project that I've had
25:32a look at for the guys exposing here.
25:37How long would it take to get something like this installed into a city?
25:42It's really ambitious but if you think it's not technologically impossible.
27:13Absolument.
27:14Alors, les gars et le déjeuner, Nicolas,
27:16avec Climb E.
27:18Thanks a lot. Bye. Enjoy VivaTech.
27:21Ok, donc.
27:22So, we're going to take a little break,
27:24but don't go away.
27:26We're going to take eight minutes,
27:27and then we'll be back with a couple of really nice robot demos.
27:31See you shortly.
27:31Merci.
27:32Merci.
27:32Merci.
27:36Merci.
27:38Merci.
