00:00And the story of the day today has to be the U.S. women's hockey team's dominance over the big bad bullies of women's hockey, which have been Team Canada over the years.
00:12They have played for Olympic gold in women's hockey seven times in the past.
00:17Canada has won five of them, including the defending gold medal champions.
00:22But we broke it down last night, and, you know, we pretty much put it on the table for you all that Team Canada are an experienced team of women in their mid-30s.
00:34Meanwhile, Team USA have seven players playing.
00:39They have 12 new players, but they have seven NCAA players.
00:43So they've got seven players that are like college hockey players that are young.
00:46They're just sort of flying around, and the mix between the U.S. veterans that they have, the Hillary Knights of the world, and now you bring in the Abby Murphys of the world, and what you have is an ass-kicking.
00:59Five-nothing.
01:01First time ever in the Canadian women's hockey program's history that they'd ever been shut out in an Olympic game before.
01:08It's the first time that the U.S. have ever shut out Canada before in an Olympic game, obviously.
01:17But the pendulum has swung.
01:19There was the rivalry series leading into this, and the U.S. women outscored them 24-7.
01:25Some people thought, well, you know what, that's not for real.
01:28Let's see what happens in the Olympics.
01:29But they've actually beaten them seven straight times now.
01:33Right?
01:34The U.S. women have beaten Team Canada seven straight times.
01:36And you want to talk about line movement last night and for the last couple of weeks, but specifically last night we went over it.
01:42The U.S.A. were minus 143 last night to win the game, and they were minus 143 to win the medal.
01:48Remember last night, if you were with us, and if you weren't, we're going to be doing a winter game coverage throughout the games weeknights at 1030 Eastern Time.
01:58So, talked about how the game one price was the same as the gold medal price.
02:03And I brought up how Team Canada's woman, the best player, Mary-Philippe Poulain, got injured, and she's out.
02:11Now, I didn't think there was going to be that massive line movement because one player was out.
02:15I didn't really think that many people bet women's hockey enough to move the number.
02:20But evidently, they did.
02:21Because U.S.A. closed today at, like, minus 240, all right, in this game.
02:26They rolled.
02:27They easily won.
02:28You could have laid the puck line and covered the number.
02:31But depending on your book right now, you know, U.S.A. are as high as minus 300 in some spots to win the gold medal in women's hockey now.
02:40I'm seeing it as low as minus 225.
02:43I think they're going to.
02:45We told you that they were.
02:46So that was one of the big stories of the day today.
