With the T20 World Cup starting in four days-time, we continue with our feature The Run Up, which focuses on the West Indies team.

In segment nine, we hear from former T&T cricketer Andre Lawrence, who thinks it's going to be a tough tournament for the men in maroon.
Transcript
00:00The West Indies play their ICC men's T20 World Cup opener against Scotland on Saturday.
00:22The Scots replaced Bangladesh who refused to play in India due to security reasons.
00:27Former Trinidad and Tobago cricketer Andrew Lawrence believes that should make it a little easier for the West Indies in Group C.
00:33That certainly makes things a whole lot easier for the West Indies in qualifying for the next group.
00:41What's interesting is that Nepal is also in that group along with England.
00:47England will be a strong contender of course, but Nepal beat the West Indies in a tour.
00:53So it'll be interesting to see what takes place there.
00:56The other team is Italy, and therefore West Indies should still come through in that group.
01:02They're expected to make it through to the next round.
01:04Regarding the 15-man squad picked by the Windies, many experts have had their reservations.
01:09Lawrence is no different, as he thinks a couple other players should have made the cut instead.
01:14Kyle Mayers is in pretty good nick, and he's a dangerous player that can be used as an all-rounder.
01:21He's not been selected in the 15-man squad, and Johnson Charles, to me, is a wasted pick.
01:28I don't think he has the required level of fitness and the consistency that the West Indies need at the top of the order.
01:35Also, our bowling is a big concern.
01:40We're short a bit on fast bowling, and also, if you look at the West Indies on the 19 World Cup that's just completed,
01:47we're heading to India, and the left-arm wrist spinner, Laws, I thought would have been an excellent pick.
01:54The West Indies won the title twice, first in Sri Lanka in 2012, and then in India four years later.
02:01So does Lawrence think that he can make it title number three?
02:04I don't think so.
02:07I saw them play against South Africa, and they were badly beaten.
02:13And the matches in which they were badly beaten, South Africa only lost one or two wickets on the way to getting fairly large scores.
02:21Batting alone won't win you with the World Cup.
02:23I think the West Indies are a bit short on bowling in this World Cup, and they're inconsistent with their batting.
02:29Therefore, that, to me, makes it very tough for them to be World Cup winners.
02:34The Windies play their group matches in Kolkata and Mumbai.
02:38Only time will tell if they progress further, and even reach the final on March 8th.
