Manager of the Trinbago Knight Riders Colin Borde, believes the West Indies have what it takes to beat India to reach the semi-final stage of the competition. Sunday's match is a must win for both teams. That said, Borde thinks it's difficult to call the winner of the overall tournament.

00:00Manager of the Trinbago Knight Riders, Colin Bord believes India are the favourites,
00:04but his heart is with the West Indies to win the T20 World Cup.
00:08Well obviously I'm a West Indian, so West Indies is my team and we've been playing some really good cricket.
00:12We're not going to win all the games, but the first step is to get into the knockout phases
00:16and I think we've gotten there. So I would give, of course, the rest of the world knows that
00:21in India, India is going to be the favourites, it's a strong team.
00:24They have all the components needed, good fielding team, good power play,
00:29middle-overs with rotation, good strike bowlers at the top. But I give West Indies a nod.
00:35He still thinks though that it will be a tough tournament to call with all teams coming into their own
00:40as the semi-final matchups shape up.
00:43The top four teams are going to be good. We need Super 8s, but certainly South Africa is a very
00:48professional team.
00:49You look at the line-up, all the teams are tight and T20 cricket is about very small margins.
00:53The time for recovery is really short, it's not a test match.
00:57If you get it wrong up front, you have a small window to correct it.
01:01South Africa has been able to correct some of the issues quicker than other teams,
01:05and that gives them a great chance.
01:07But on the day, I still feel we have the firepower.
01:10We do at the top of the order. I hope we can rotate and bat deep.
01:14So I believe we have the right formulas.
01:15My only concern will be in the bowling department a little bit, but it all depends on the wickets
01:20that we're going to be playing on and how the wickets are as it gets to the back end of
01:23the tournament.
01:24He believes that that coach Darren Sami will be of benefit to them now, considering that he's been there before
01:29as a player.
01:29Yeah, I think of the experience that he does have in big situations, but he's a coach, it's a different
01:34role.
01:35But certainly the conversations one would have in the dressing room and the experience that he can lend to those
01:39in terms of as you get deeper into the tournament and the pressure builds, how you manage pressure.
01:45The teams that manage the pressure better are the ones that go further.
01:48It's not just about skill, it's about management, pressure management.
01:52It's super important and Darren has the experience because he's been there more than once.
01:57He's won twice.
01:57He's been in big competitions and that is where the experience is not going to be technical anymore.
02:02It's all about mental.
02:04And I think he has the experience to do it.
02:05So that's the plus for us having someone who's been there before.
02:09But if Westonese wins this title, will that change the outlook on Westonese cricket?
02:14Yeah, any championship.
02:15Anytime you win, the outlook is good.
02:18People love good feelings.
02:19Certainly we've struggled in the other formats, but this is already a fit of any of the three
02:23formats that we win gives people a new breath of fresh air.
02:28So it's important for Westonese to do well.
02:30If we do not win it, at least we get really close to it so that there's something to look
02:33forward to.
02:34People love success.
02:35Sports is entertainment.
02:36It's also a feel good and it's important for Westonese Caribbean to feel like we can still compete
02:41against these mega nations.
02:43Sponsors will come on board or we need to do more work for that?
02:46It's a combination of winning teams bring sponsors because winning teams bring eyes.
02:50Eyes bring sponsors.
02:52And, of course, that is part and parcel of it.
02:54Also, it has to be the way you approach and how you partner.
02:56I don't like to use the word sponsorship.
02:58I like to use the word partnership.
03:00When you're working with a person and corporate training,
03:02you have to learn to build partnerships.
03:03The same way you build partnerships in sports and in family,
03:06you have to build that business community.
03:08Westonese will meet India come Sunday from 9.30 a.m.
03:1232 to 4, TV6 Sport.
