00:30So, DeFrancisco leads McAdoo now.
00:34I can tell you what, Mother Nature sure has put it on for us today.
00:38Olha a essa track right aqui.
00:58A lot readier.
01:00It's not like a super speedway.
01:01This is a lot tighter.
01:03Yeah, would you say the jump from Glendale, Arizona
01:05last week into here is about as big a variance
01:08as you get?
01:09100%, a massive contrast to what we've seen
01:12the last two weeks.
01:13One in Houston, and like you said,
01:15last week in Glendale, Weecher.
01:17ARC, it's working well for DeFrancisco,
01:19who's starting to pull away a bit
01:21from McAdoo and Kitchen.
01:23Kitchen going to work.
01:24And there's the home track specialist.
01:27And the crowd immediately responds.
01:30Great pass by Levi Kitchen.
01:32You think about that incredible ride he had last week
01:35in Glendale in the main event.
01:37Looks like he's able to keep that momentum going,
01:42excuse me, and just looking good.
01:44Now, remember, this is a hometown race for him,
01:46so I expect a lot out of this guy right here.
01:49All right, well, SMX betting and DFS gaming
01:51is back for 2026.
01:53New sportsbook bonuses and prop markets
01:56are available right now.
01:57There's the move.
02:01Is that a tear-off, or was that a fist bump?
02:04That was a tear-off right there.
02:06Get the clear view, clear vision.
02:08Try to check out right here, Will.
02:10Got his on rails.
02:12We saw this speed, didn't we, Ricky, last week,
02:14but the starts, as you guys said there, let him down.
02:17He has been working on them during the week,
02:19and I got to speak to the team owner
02:21over at Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki
02:23to find out how they've gone.
02:25And he said, look, we're still working on it during the week.
02:27He said the biggest difference is when it comes to race day,
02:30the noise of the bikes around him.
02:32Suddenly, you can't hear the revving of the engine,
02:35and you have to go just to feel.
02:37Mitch described it as like braille at that point.
02:39You have to feel it.
02:40And he said, that takes time.
02:42He said, during the week, we're good.
02:43If we can execute that in the race, I know he has the speed.
02:46He might have a tough time to hear the bike
02:48all the way around the track now
02:49because this crowd is cheering him everywhere he goes.
02:52Yeah, keep your eye on this racetrack.
02:54It's going to evolve.
02:55It's going to get really ruddy in between these jumps
02:58on the rhythm lanes as well as the corners.
03:00And some of these riders, I feel like that.
03:03Why?
03:03Because it gets multi-groove, and you're able to make passes
03:06and the opportunity for guys to make up time
03:08or your competitors make mistakes are there, JT.
03:11They sure do, Ricky.
03:13And I think it's important to be aware
03:15of what the condition of the racetrack is at the time.
03:17This first heat race, you saw Kitchin going through the big rhythms.
03:20He triples onto that tabletop that you saw in the background there.
03:23You can do those things when the track is still in good condition,
03:26but you need to have a plan later on tonight.
03:29We get into those main events.
03:30When those lines start to go away,
03:32we need to be able to pivot to a line you can execute every single time.
03:35So watch that.
03:37McAdoo down!
03:38Oh, man, he's so lucky that that foot peg didn't get him
03:43in his sides or ribs.
03:45That was super close.
03:47The foot pegs are extremely sharp.
03:49Let's hope he didn't get caught up by that.
03:51I'll tell you what, like JT was talking about,
03:54you have to be willing to move around and search
03:56because this track is very, very difficult.
03:59It's going to deteriorate.
04:00Watch what happens here.
04:02Now McAdoo's going to try to get over this jump.
04:05He is sideways on the takeoff, and he runs out of leverage.
04:10You can see his arms were fully extended.
04:12So a lot of riders do that earlier today in qualifying practice.
04:16Oh, and now just trying to hang on to the qualifying spot.
04:21It's got Justin Rodbell in the 83, the SLR Honda in front of him,
04:25but they're both in a transfer position, and Revin Gordon is sixth.
04:30Rodbell, the red Honda, is seventh.
04:32There's McAdoo eighth.
04:33Oh, this is a good job for Revin Gordon as well.
04:36Two made events in a row.
04:38That's right.
04:39Man, what a step up for him.
04:40There you're talking about watch what these riders are doing right now
04:43and watch the alternate lines that they are taking
04:46into what JT was talking about at his point.
04:49They are going to be taking different lines all night long
04:54compared to what they've been doing the last two weeks.
04:57Crockett Myers and that yellow Suzuki, he is in that last transfer spot,
05:00actually caught up to McAdoo for a moment.
05:03Now McAdoo going back to work on Rodbell.
05:06Rodbell very happy with this SLR team.
05:08They called him in December.
05:10Looks like McAdoo going to try to make the pass.
05:12Rodbell says he's not quite as fit as he wanted to be.
05:15He was planning on racing east, but he loves the bike,
05:17and the speed is there, and he takes the spot from Gordon,
05:21and McAdoo trying to follow him.
05:23Oh, but he's on the inside right here.
05:25He's going to see if he can get two for no.
05:26Not able to do that.
05:29That was a high-risk move he went for going through the whoops,
05:34trying to make the pass, trying to shoot the gap.
05:37Comes up a little short.
05:39That's the chance you take here in these heat races.
05:42That bottom box is second, but that's DeFrancisco versus Anstey.
05:47I'll tell you what, man.
05:48He's gone back and forth.
05:48I love what I've seen from Ryder DeFrancisco all season long.
05:52It's like he's a new guy, really gelling with that rock star energy.
05:56Husqvarna working with team manager Nathan Ramsey.
05:59Such a great team manager as well.
06:01An old teammate of mine.
06:02Just his composure and how uplifting he is and knowledgeable as well.
06:09As McAdoo in the top box, R.C. takes the spot away from Rodbell.
06:14That is fifth and sixth.
06:16Max Folland up ahead at fourth.
06:18And it's that Anstey-DeFrancisco battle.
06:20Meyer is working on Gordon now.
06:22And Max Angelo is up to ninth.
06:25Go ahead.
06:25Going to level out for McAdoo.
06:27Next guy is way far away.
06:29Well, Kitchin hasn't won a heat race in about a year.
06:32Detroit 2025.
06:34He has eight career heat race wins to his name.
06:37But what this stat tells you is he hasn't won a heat even this year.
06:42This dude is rolling right now.
06:45Looks like he's on cruise control.
06:47And it is set for him.
06:50Maybe he gets that showdown with Hayden Deegan and can challenge him for the dub later on tonight in the
06:55main event.
06:56And he told me yesterday he loves the Russ, loves these conditions, and you can see it.
07:01Well, this is a perfect condition for him here tonight.
07:05So a bit of a rebuild.
07:06Russ start to the year for Kitchin.
07:08His 2025 season was robbed by injury.
07:12He wins the heat to the delight of the crowd.
07:15Here's that final battle.
07:17Oh, Myers made the move on Rodbell.
07:19Oh, this is his rhythm lane right here.
07:22Very tricky section.
07:24Some guy's trying to get over that steep single from the sand.
07:29If you're able to do that, it changes the sequence.
07:32Looking blue there.
07:33That's Parker Ross on the 40, looking to get in.
07:37I think he was down earlier.
07:39He's had to make up ground.
07:40Was that the final transfer?
07:43Here they come across the line.
07:44No.
07:45Ross is in in seventh.
07:46Rodbell in in eighth.
07:47And Masciangelo, the Canadian, is in on the 800.
07:51Avery Long is going to come up just short and go to the last chance qualifier.
07:59Well, it's getting better and better each week.
