00:00Hey, NaturallyCurlyWorld, I'm Evelyn, and welcome to Watch and Go, the show where we
00:04review things that we watched while we do our wash and goes, our haircare routines.
00:10In the spirit of Halloween, I'm not wearing makeup.
00:14I will be using some great products that I have here and reviewing the inheritance.
00:22Too long don't watch, it's trash.
00:24They were wealthy.
00:25They left you something on the bar.
00:28They were beautiful.
00:29They were chosen to die.
00:39Um, alright, so.
00:44So what I'm going to do is I'm just going to spray it down with some water.
00:48This is just water, and I'm just going to run my fingers through it and then go wash my hair
00:56with the Inasi Naturals Soothing Mint Sulfate Free Clarifying Shampoo.
01:02I enjoy this shampoo because it's minty and tingly and it gets all in there.
01:07It gets all in there.
01:09So, I'm going to do that and I'll be back because you don't need to see all this.
01:13Alright, we tired.
01:15Alright, I'm going to deep condition my hair with the As I Am Hydration Elation.
01:25It's great.
01:27It starts Golden Brooks from Girlfriends, um, Keith David from everything, African American
01:35that exists.
01:36The inheritance is about five cousins, um, adult cousins.
01:41They're in their 30s maybe.
01:43They are all in a place where they want to vie for their elders' attention in order to get the
01:51inheritance, um, from, you know, the older generation.
01:54Their uncle, played by Keith David, um, invites them to a cabin in the woods?
02:03In the woods?
02:04You know, for their family reunion.
02:05And they're like, ooh, this is our chance to, you know, kiss up to uncle and make sure that we are
02:10written in, the will, you know what I'm saying, that we don't get left out.
02:14The biggest thing that bothers me in this movie is that two of the cousins are romantically involved
02:22and they never address how, why, where, thoughts.
02:29It bothers me.
02:31I couldn't concentrate on the majority of the film because the entire time I'm looking at my friend
02:38Jasmine, like, they are cousins, right?
02:40Like, did I miss something?
02:41They never said play cousins.
02:43They never said play cousins.
02:45They said cousins.
02:46For that alone to get someone out of five stars.
02:49How you just gonna have that in the plot line and not talk about it?
02:55At all.
02:57It's not okay.
02:57The old folks in their family, they always tell the story of their ancestors and how they came
03:03such a long way from the days of slavery and, you know, the cousins don't really care.
03:08They're just here for the money.
03:09The elders are wearing like, you know, Shaka Zulu type things.
03:14They do this whole ceremony, just so you know, tell the story or whatever.
03:18This story is actually one of how their families were enslaved back in the day.
03:26It was not that long ago, all right, and they were about to, like, die or something like that.
03:35And this huge, like, eight foot, nine foot, dark Shaka Zulu looking warrior god, African god,
03:43comes and says, I will set you free.
03:47Stay with me.
03:47Stay with me, please.
03:48And they're like, oh, okay.
03:50But in return, he has to, like, eat or kill one of the children.
03:58Plot twist, they never really get to the part of the story that says you have to continue
04:04giving your descendants as a sacrifice to this Shaka Zulu god.
04:09It takes them a really long time to figure that out in the movie.
04:12I always knew something was weird because it's just some weird traditions, all right?
04:20I don't know nobody who got them type of traditions.
04:23If you got them type of traditions, let me know in the comments so I can report you.
04:28One by one, like, weird things start happening in the cabin.
04:33You know, they get snowed in.
04:35Oops, can't escape.
04:37There were so many times in the movie where I was just like, run, go.
04:42I have not used a Denman brush in so long.
04:45All right, let's twist that up.
04:47They never really explained how you keep the family going if you keep killing
04:55the descendants.
04:56I will say, I will say that the actor that played that Shaka Zulu guy could get it.
05:03Okay, so I just put all the As I Am hydrationelation intensive conditioner into my hair,
05:12now I'm just going to let it sit for like five minutes and I'll give you my final thoughts.
05:16All right, so I rinsed the conditioner out of my hair and I put in the Camille Rose coconut water
05:24leave-in.
05:25It's one of my staples.
05:26I'm going to twist my hair up with the Aunt Jackie's Seal It Up Hydrating Sealing Butter.
05:33Final thoughts on the inheritance.
05:35Ooh, the consistency is like a shea butter, but like bouncy.
05:41Cool.
05:42So they're in the cabin.
05:43They've given up.
05:45Mad folks has died and they start to leave like a Facebook status.
05:51That's like, hello world.
05:52This is a Facebook status from us.
05:54We are at this location.
05:56If this is the last you ever hear from us, this is what happened.
05:59Our uncle and them tried to murder us in the name of Shagazulu.
06:04I know you're not going to believe us, but that's what is happening.
06:07And while the cousin is typing, the little ooga-booga, the little ooga-booga African things
06:14that are supposed to kill them are coming.
06:17They're coming.
06:17Ooh, they're coming.
06:18Spoiler, he dies.
06:21The inheritance.
06:23That's what the inheritance was.
06:25It was just one long sigh.
06:29All right, twisted my hair with Aunt Jackie's.
06:32And this is how my hair is going to be until the next Watch and Go.
06:37I give this movie, here's the thing, the acting wasn't bad.
06:43That's not what it was.
06:45I can't, it was a certain je ne sais quoi, but in the bad way.
06:49So, I don't know.
06:50I give this movie the two out of five stars.
06:54You should watch it just so that I have somebody to relate with,
07:00because I don't want to suffer alone in my own brain.
07:03If you have watched it, let me know in the comments below.
07:06Let me know what I should review next in another episode of Watch and Go.
