Transcript
00:00The West Indies beat Pakistan in the rain affected second ODI on Sunday by five wickets
00:05with the DLS method having to be applied.
00:07Rostun Chase was the man of the match for his unbeaten 49 or 47 Wolves.
00:11Well obviously we wanted to get a good start, not to put ourselves under pressure with the
00:17small total, but it didn't happen for us so it was then for us to go and consolidate and
00:22try to build a partnership.
00:24But I mean we were still going a bit slow but we still kept the rate kind of close and
00:29I thought that is what helped in the end.
00:33The West Indies are eyeing precious World Cup qualification points when the teams meet
00:36in the decider on Tuesday in Teruba, plus a fourth straight ODI series win at home.
00:42So are the men in Maroon under any pressure?
00:44I want to say it's pressure, it's an opportunity for us to show our mettle, show our class and
00:49just go out there and perform and give the crowd something to cheer about.
00:53I mean so far it's not been a capacity crowd but I love the energy that the crowd has been
00:58giving us and supporting us so it will really make us happy and the fans happy as well.
01:03Chase performed well with the bat in the two completed games with his 53 coming in a losing
01:08cause.
01:09Plus he took a wicket with his offspin in each game.
01:11It's been good for me so far.
01:13As you said I had two good games but every time I go out there I try to just fall to myself
01:20to try to give the best for the team and just give myself the best chance of performing.
01:27Because the guys say that their averages are very high in the top five and they want me
01:32to get out there with them so that's my goal.
01:35Should the West Indies be victorious on Tuesday, it will be their first bilateral series win
01:40against Pakistan since 1991.
01:43and now I need to have explored it.
