00:00TDP MP Krishna Prasad 1080 who was on the chair when Congress MPs tore the papers and threw it
00:07at the chair. He has spoken to India Today. Listen in. Well, right now I am joined with
00:14TDP MP Krishna Prasad 1080 who was sitting at the chair when Congress MPs created ruckus. They
00:19also threw papers at the chair. To our viewers, to the viewers of India Today, we request you to
00:25tell us as to what actually transpired in the house. What led these MPs to get unruly and
00:31how do you see the kind of behaviour in which they indulged in you?
00:36See the proceedings were going on and one of the members addressed the chair as Yar, which
00:45I found objection to. I took objection to that. So, certain other member standing next to him
00:53said what is wrong in saying Yar to the chair, which is again objectionable. So, I took a
01:00serious objection to this kind of behaviour belittling the chair, addressing the chair like that.
01:07And then later on they came on to the table and tore papers and threw at the chair, which
01:15is very, very objectionable behaviour. And rest, everybody has seen on the TVs. The entire
01:22country has noticed it.
01:23So, did they also try to approach you? Was the intention of these MPs to come near to you?
01:30No, coming on to the table basically means coming closer to the chair, which is highly, highly
01:37objectionable. Do you think that they had intention of attacking the chair?
01:44You can read in so many ways, but there is a place, there is a limit up to where you can
01:53come. They have crossed all the limits. That is what is objectionable.
01:58Last question. In fact, you have been requesting Rahul Gandhi not to say those words, not to
02:05talk about something which is not against the ethics of parliament. Also, the ruling was
02:10already given by the chair yesterday, but still Rahul Gandhi was talking about something which
02:15has not been published. How do you see that, sir?
02:19See what happens is, once the ruling has been given by honourable speaker, once, that ruling
02:26has to be respected. The ruling was given yesterday by the honourable speaker. I was requesting
02:33everybody to respect that ruling and follow that ruling, which was not so repeatedly, so
02:42and repeatedly I was requesting, no, no, no, please, respect and follow the ruling given
02:50by the honourable speaker.
02:51Thank you for speaking to us.
02:52Right, so you just heard Krishna Prasad Teneti. He is the TDP MP who was on the chair at that
03:01point of time when this entire chaos happened. This is what we saw on our screens today when
03:08the opposition MP stood on the chair, tore up pages and threw it at the chair. On your
03:13screens that very moment, as you see him sitting on that chair when papers were thrown at him. He adjourned
03:20the parliament after that. But at 3pm, once again, when the parliament resumed, a motion was presented
03:28by the Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiran Rijiju for suspension of eight opposition MPs, seven Congress and one
03:37left MP. And once again, there was chaos as papers were again thrown at the chair. So clearly, the opposition MPs are
03:47being accused by the BJP and the government and the chair itself of disrespecting the chair and unruly behaviour. And the suspended MPs themselves do not think that it is proper that the LOP is being stopped from speaking.
04:01And this is why they have decided to protest within the parliament complex tomorrow, most possibly near the Makar Dwar tomorrow morning.
04:11They will be sitting down and protesting against the Prime Minister and the government as the session we need to see probably resumes tomorrow.
04:20It's important session tomorrow. The Prime Minister was scheduled to speak in the Rajya Sabha tomorrow.
04:27After the end of the discussions on the Presidential Inaugural Address. But the Lok Sabha has completely devolved into chaos, it seems.
