00:00Visuals of the very instant when the papers were thrown at the chair.
00:21So those were the visuals that we brought you the last few moments of the session today in Lok Sabha
00:27when papers were hurled at the chair and that sort of broke the camel's back
00:33and that's when the chair finally decided that the session of today was going to be adjourned till tomorrow.
00:41It was not an adjournment of a few hours but till tomorrow.
00:45So the visuals that you saw were of the papers being thrown at the chair by the Congress MPs
00:51and now the repercussion of this action, the consequences of these actions have been
00:56that six MPs of the Congress have now been suspended for this entire remainder of the session.
01:04So they will not be attending the Lok Sabha proceedings, they will not enter the Parliament complex
01:09and how will that impact the Congress party is something we are waiting to hear.
01:13How are these MPs going to react to that?
01:16How is the Congress party going to react to that?
01:19Because remember, not just six MPs, the whip of Congress party Manikam Tagore is also one of the people
01:26who have been suspended for the entire remainder of the session.
01:30This is an important session, especially since the India-US trade deal has been finalized.
01:37Only last evening we have got the news that it has been finalized and this deal will soon become reality
01:45and it will soon be put in front of the Parliament as well.
01:49Now, India Today's Piyush Mishra continues to be with us.
01:54Piyush, now we know that six MPs have been suspended and they will not be attending for the remainder of the session.
02:03We are expecting reactions from the party and the MPs.
02:07Have these MPs stepped out as yet? Have they spoken to the media? What are you hearing?
02:13Well, Anjali, as we are speaking, all these MPs are now out of Lok Sabha.
02:17They are standing in the premises of Parliament.
02:19Along with them is Rahul Gandhi and Prahinga Gandhi.
02:22Both are standing with all these MPs and they are also going to speak to media.
02:27And there is one more update that there are not six, there are eight MPs.
02:31Those have been suspended.
02:33Our colleague Maushma Singh is sending these details which is saying that around eight MPs have been suspended.
02:39And we have also got the photos of these MPs who are also standing there right in front of Makar Dwar of Parliament.
02:47And along with them is Rahul Gandhi and Prahinga Gandhi.
02:51And as they have been suspended, what is more unfortunate is that despite getting suspended, despite indulging in unruly behaviour,
02:59they are seen smiling and giggling there at the Makar Dwar.
03:03So this shows that they do not have any kind of remorse of the kind of acts they indulged in.
03:08And that's why these MPs are seen standing right in front of Makar Dwar.
03:12And they all are, you know, any moment from now going to speak to the media also.
03:17Rahul Gandhi along with Prahinga Gandhi are also standing there.
03:20They basically threw paper at the chair when Rahul Gandhi was stopped and some other speaker was given the opportunity to speak.
03:33Right.
03:34It seems that they are standing there along with Rahul and Priyanka because they seem to be protesting what has just happened.
03:40And it is also a matter of perspective, you know, the remorse on this entire issue.
03:45The Congress MPs themselves think that what they are doing is probably correct.
03:50But what we are hearing now is and the photographs that are coming across is the fact that Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi are standing with these,
04:00not just these MPs, but other parliamentary members as well.
04:05And they are protesting against what has happened.
04:08These suspensions, they are raising this issue in front of the Makar Dwar as a sign of protest.
04:15So can you give us a little bit more information as to what is happening in the parliament right now?
04:22Well, we are getting these images, we are getting these pictures, Anjali, which is indicating that now, you know, they are protesting.
04:31Earlier they all had gathered in front of Makar Dwar.
04:34But now all these MPs along with Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi, they are now protesting right in front of Makar Dwar.
04:40This protest is basically taking place against the suspension of eight MPs of the Congress party who stood on table and threw papers at the chair.
04:49This protest will continue.
04:52There are a few who are also talking to media.
04:55When a few MPs, when they came out, they said that this behaviour is not correct at the part of Speaker of taking actions against them.
05:04And they are protesting against the suspension also of all the MPs who have now been suspended.
05:10This suspension is basically, the actions were taken after the motion which was moved by Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiran Rijiju
05:20against the MPs of the Congress party who not only, you know, raise slogans, who not only continue to chant slogans but also indulge in...
05:33...
05:51Right. We just saw India Today's Moshmi reporting from that place at Makardwa, where the Congress
06:16MPs have gathered to protest against the suspension of their MPs.
