00:00we have very high expectations and people need to meet those expectations so we need to recognize
00:24that there's a certain portion of people that won't meet those standards and if we have people
00:28that are dragging the team down then like that needs to be dealt with right in his ruthless pursuit
00:35of a record 35 million dollar season Parker Schnabel only wants the best of the best and one
00:44person is lagging behind it's never easy trying to let somebody go but everybody needs to be a team
00:52player and this guy is not so we have no choice but to say sorry you don't fit here you don't work
01:00hello Davin before your shift starts tonight I was wondering if you wouldn't mind pop it to
01:09the office here I'd like to see you yeah okay great thanks bye-bye Parker's mine manager Nona
01:25Loveless has called in Taven Peterson a loader operator in his second year at Dominion
01:31hello how are you good um yeah unfortunately we're gonna have to let you go Taven um you just have a
01:41really attitude for this place you just are very much a know-it-all when I asked you to do something
01:47you thought you were doing it better and that just doesn't work around here no I'm sorry I thought
01:52I was trying to help I've given you ample weeks of opportunity to do what is asked of you and you
02:01still do it Taven's way I thought I was doing it and then you boast about how many loads you can get
02:06in an hour who does that I wasn't trying to boast I was just saying like I did the count I was proud of
02:12it Taven what am I tell see right now that's exactly what you're doing I know you're doing no no but
02:16you're at your apps no but no you're not because you're not listening to what I am saying I was
02:22trying to think ahead well you're not thinking ahead bud you're not you're falling behind because
02:27you're not listening so you can pack up and head on out thanks yeah attitude just it doesn't fly around
02:39here I mean I understand that now yeah well I tried telling you how many times if my boss my senior
02:46tells me to do something guess what I think it would still be beneficial at that point see see
02:52you're still you're still I've let you go and you're still telling me that you're right get out
02:57of here honestly go I don't even want I don't even want go go get out of here
03:16I don't understand the logic behind it I think if they had the time to sit down with me and
03:27understand or hear my side out that it would make a lot more sense to them but
03:35this is sad we've had a bit of turnover this year we've been hiring and firing working here is not
04:01easy and we have a lot to do and you know you need good people that you can count on we're like
04:08at a pretty decent point in the season and starting to pick up momentum we've got more wash plants
04:15running if we can keep the wheels on the bus you know we're in a very good place but it's going to
04:21take a lot of effort and work on everybody's part in order to make that happen halfway through the
04:26season Parker's already banked over 18 million dollars worth of gold but recently plant breakdowns
04:36and spotty ground have seen his gold numbers slow down to less than 500 ounces a week the gold way
04:44we need improvement if it continues like this we're in real trouble I trust all our managers we have a
04:51really good group of people and at Dominion this year Tyson is definitely doing a really good job
04:58I have the three wash plants moved and up and running here at Dominion it's wild because of how busy this
05:06place is right now there's a lot going on we got all our stakes in the fire right now so hopefully it
05:15doesn't bite us in the ass after Taven's firing Dominion's foreman Tyson Lee is down a loader
05:23operator now he needs to train up a new hire to feed wash plant Bob I have some time to spend with India
05:30and get her to eat in the wash plant India has been in the loader for five six days now and now it's about
05:38time she learns how to feed a plank working in the loader in all honesty is pretty difficult in the
05:48bridge cut rookie India Greenhalgh has less than a month's gold mining under her belt you know I've
05:56left one job that I'm actually pretty good at so starting a job that I know nothing about it's not an
06:03easy thing to do but I want to be good at this I don't just want to be okay I want to be awesome
06:13well this is India's first season mining it isn't her first rodeo in the Yukon
06:21for four years India worked behind the camera with the gold rush film crew historically I've worked
06:28on Tony's claim but I did do one stint on Parker's claim and that's how me and Tyson met hi oh thanks
06:37you know I remember when she first came to site here I saw her right then and there and I thought
06:43oh I'll got to get to know her whilst this is very different there was no real option for me having a
06:51boyfriend that lives in Canada a gold mine is definitely not a place that I thought I was ever
06:56gonna find love but here I am I am loving it quite frankly I'm loving love cheers hi babe how's it going
07:08babe yeah good so watch what I do when I'm going to throw a scoop in the hopper so you want to get
07:22nice and straight with the hopper first and then start lifting same thing as a rock truck when you
07:29were loading a rock truck I want to come in then you want to aim for the middle of the target see
07:37how I'm not spilling any material off the back not spilling any material off the front then when my
07:43bucket is dumped all the way I'm lowering my boom lowering my center of gravity when you're running to
07:48the back of the cut like this keep in mind there's no one up at the plant right now you're the one
07:54watching it right from way back here I'm looking at the belts making sure there's material going up
08:00them making sure nothing looks askew making sure the tailings conveyor is going yeah that makes sense
08:06you see something hit the breaker and run up and open the bypass and close the main
08:12what smack my head well don't smack your head then you're not a bobblehead sit just watch next time
08:29that is not good see how that material is not moving do not ignore that jump out jump out
08:36stand back and watch me this time the hopper feeder is clogged with pain stopping it from getting to
08:47the plant hey back in the loader so that's why it's really important watch yeah
09:06okay your turn okay I'll be on mine or two okay
09:25so just get nice and square with the feeder first
09:28snap rockin there's small adjustments straight now keep going you're fine
09:40start moving up am i straight am i straight
09:46boom up faster stop moving forward boom up
09:50slowly start dumping
09:53it's really nerve-wracking actually got like the world's driest mouth
10:13nice
10:19it's a lot harder than it looks
10:24it's very much on me to make sure that this plant is running as it should be
10:43parker wouldn't have offered her the job if he didn't think she could do it
10:47hopefully in the upcoming days she'll be able to feed the plant run the plant shut down the plant and
10:52know how to problem solve around the plant
10:59we got less than 500 ounces on the season right now and that's uh that's not nearly enough
11:15well we're back in vegas valley and that's where we know the good gold is so we got to get back down to
11:20we got to get back to the pay in vegas valley and we got to get back to the pay in vegas valley and we got to get back to the pay
11:27we got to get back to the pay in vegas valley quickly
11:29three months in rick ness's season is finally on the upswing
11:31last week we got a good result from the last cleanup but that was the end of the stockpile
11:33we didn't get down to pay uh like we planned on i mean there's a lot to do
11:35there's a big road to build and there's no more pay to run and
11:37yeah we need to switch up the plan right now um if we're gonna get back to the pay in vegas valley quickly
11:44rick's crew has finished building the road to the bottom of vegas valley but now rick faces another problem
11:52there's a lot of slop in there the whole cuts flooded with silty muddy
11:57we're gonna have to move it all before we before we get back to the pay but getting it out of here is painful
12:02i've got an idea it's a it's kind of a it's a cheap way to move dirt and we tried this last year in
12:08rally valley we actually had some success with it um and we're gonna try it again i think we learned
12:12stuff last year so we got the monitor we're gonna drop that into vegas valley and get that slop out of
12:20there get back on the gold at vegas valley rick's crew has built a narrow road to the bottom of the 200-foot
12:29deep cut
12:32now they've discovered the pay layer they reached last year is covered in six feet of thick sludge
12:38rick's solution
12:42bring in a high-powered water monitor to blast the sticky sludge
12:47breaking it down to a runny slurry
12:50then suck it out with a 12-inch water pump revealing the gold rich pay layer underneath
13:05hey guys it's time to fire this thing up
13:07i get the pay
13:08hey chris fire that pop up let's go
13:11all right starting the pump now rick
13:13we got the monitor in place now we use that to wash all that silt over to our pump and hopefully we have to pay clean in maybe a day or two
13:40we got a new guy here uh chris he's working that moderate you know we need all the manpower we can get right now we got a long ways to go
13:47i have to pay close attention to what i'm doing here
13:50rick's brought in new operator chris lalon for the season's second half push
13:56with room for just one excavator at the bottom of the pit
14:00clearing the sludge is chris's shot to prove himself
14:05i'm originally from fort mcmurray alberta
14:08i have spent the last five or six years traveling around doing different jobs
14:12and now i'm here
14:13i feel like it's going good
14:15they are trusting me to try and do this task alone
14:18it appears i'm losing my battle at this moment
14:34the water level should continuously drop
14:36now it's increasing in my pond
14:39guys it looks like the pump doesn't move the sludge
14:43the pump is failing to suck out the slurry
14:46and now there's an even bigger mess
14:52for some reason it's stuck
14:54i don't know if we sucked up a bunch of mud
14:56i don't know what the deal is but it ain't working
14:59that i know
15:00shut it down
15:02you
15:03am i good
15:12yeah
15:13i'm gonna have to back up
15:16that's good
15:21uh...
15:28all we have is a steel plate with holes welded into it
15:33so when we're washing all this muck down in here
15:35it easily can get plugged up
15:36as soon as any rocks any silt anything gets stuck in this
15:39at vegas valley rick's crew is battling a thick layer of sludge to reach the gold rich pay
15:46but a plugged pump has brought the operation to a standstill
15:51all right well we could uh...
15:54find or build a basket
15:55it's gonna give us a lot more area for suction
15:58and then uh... to where we don't have any problems with anything clogging
16:01to get the pump sucking again
16:04mechanic ryan kent plans to build a new intake basket
16:08with bigger screens reducing the risk of blockages
16:13it looks heavy
16:17yeah
16:18it does
16:19three dudes to move a plate
16:20yeah
16:25right now we're gonna look for some material to build a basket
16:29we do have a bunch of punch plate we'd cut it out and weld a square together
16:36looks like kyle may have found a box over there
16:4010 inch on it
16:41yeah
16:42we need a 12 inch
16:45get rid of this
16:46i'll make this work
16:47i got it
16:52look at that
16:53once we torch this off we'll weld the other one right to it
16:56to fit the basket to the pump's 12 inch hose
17:00ryan first replaces the flange
17:03we gotta build our own
17:04that's what we're gonna do
17:07see if we can get her up this direction
17:14damn you guys are strong
17:16your moms must be proud
17:18wow
17:19the main piece we need is this victor right there
17:29hit it with a hammer see if it will break free
17:32yeah
17:36now what we're gonna do is put a bead around it
17:38good enough
17:39she'll serve her purpose now
17:48hopefully that's the quick fix we need to be able to get that muck out of there and get down to pay
17:52hopefully that's the quick fix we need to be able to get that muck out of there and get down to pay
18:06we need this basket to work if it doesn't we're gonna be kind of ourselves on time here
18:23there she goes
18:30we got our new basket back in
18:36ready to fire
18:54that water is dropping pretty quick
18:56yeah it looks like the cage is working
18:58yeah
18:59suction's working
19:00pump's working
19:01we are one step closer to getting back to pay
19:14100 miles west
19:16well
19:17yes i'm starting a new chapter in my life and
19:22going to look for some work
19:25i don't want to be going home because i love gold mining and
19:32can't afford to go home yet
19:34after being let go from parker's crew
19:37tavin peterson is gunning for a fresh start
19:41right now i'm just looking around
19:43seeing who's willing to hire a new gold miner
19:48i'm going to somebody's gold mine and
19:51just
19:52knocking on
19:54the door
19:58so i guess we're here
20:05i hope this goes well
20:06hello how's it going my name is tavin peterson nice to meet you nice to meet you pull up a chair
20:28what can we do you for
20:31i heard you were mining up here and i was wondering if you guys were looking for employees or if you guys are pretty stacked up on operators
20:40there are some opportunities here
20:43currently right now the big thing we're on the lookout for is rock truck operators and loader operators
20:49what is your time on those things
20:50what is your time on those things
20:52so this will be my fourth season mining
20:54i really enjoy everything about gold mining and i'm really willing to learn
20:58last year parker had me a rock truck and
21:01were you at parker's this year for the first little bit
21:04invited me back for another season but
21:07things weren't going good and then
21:09nona really like fired me
21:12i'm not sure why
21:22alright
21:24okay
21:26uh
21:28but i was on slucifer before for those two weeks
21:31and started right off on the plant on night shift so
21:34they must have a little bit of faith in me
21:37that is a feather in your cap so to speak
21:41because i'm always looking for more people to
21:43who have experience feeding the plant
21:46okay
21:48this might work out for both of us honestly
21:51but if we're going to hire you one of the first places we're going to throw you
21:55is night shift at the plant
21:57so
21:59if you're up for that
22:01that's great that's what i'm looking for
22:02perfect
22:04perfect so for now i'd say
22:06you're hired
22:08thank you so much i appreciate this
22:10you gave a good vibe so let's roll those dice see how it works out for both of us
22:13thank you so much
22:18that was awesome i got hired and uh
22:21i'm super excited to start working for a smaller crew again
22:24and the work that i do will get noticed a lot more
22:25he didn't work out there he might work out here
22:29the only way we're going to find out is well
22:32try him out
22:34having struggled for crew and gold all season
22:39second year mind boss kevin beats is slowly turning a corner
22:44it was tough at the start of the year to lose both brennan and cayden
22:48and now bug has gone to go
22:50i'll have a baby
22:52but we brought in some new crew and we're making it work
22:54the only thing you can do
22:56going into the second half of the season i'm still optimistic that we're going to be successful
23:01i don't know if we're going to be as successful as i want it to be but
23:04we're still going for a 2 000 ounce goal we still want to get that
23:07two weeks ago with his pyramid cut mined out
23:12kevin broke ground on the new seven acre sphinx cut
23:16with everything now riding on the new ground
23:20kevin's already down to pay and feeding it through the wash plant
23:25i am hoping that sphinx cut is going to pay out better than pyramid cut has been
23:30it's really important that we hit our weekly target
23:32we're aiming for 100 ounces a week
23:33and to get there we've got to be running 24 7
23:41for his first night shift of the season
23:44kevin pairs new hire tavin
23:47with veteran miner rick johnson
23:53tavin copy tavin
23:56copy copy what's up rick
23:58how's things going at your end
23:59uh things are going really good over here
24:02to keep the plant sluicing through the midnight sun
24:06tavin has to feed 24 loads of pay dirt an hour
24:14right now i'm just running the plant on night shift we got a small crew going right now me and rick
24:19so we gotta
24:21just make sure we're staying consistent and keeping everything fed and make sure we're getting rocks washed while we can
24:30really enjoying it here already got put on the wash plant which i'm really excited about
24:37everybody's been super welcoming and teaching me lots and showing me how they do things around here which i really appreciate
24:41i take a lot of pride in what i do and i want to be on a winning team so i feel like i need to prove myself a little bit
24:55well i just definitely don't want to get fired again
24:58we're coming to our end at night shift but the pace here is a little bit slower and i'm still getting used to it
25:15i'm trying my best
25:28oh there's no pain like a bear
25:33oh there's no pain like a bear
25:37oh there's no pain like a bear
25:41oh there's no pain like a bear

25:46oh there's no pain like a bear
25:47oh there's no pain like a bear
25:48oh there's no pain like a bear
25:49oh there's no pain like a bear
25:50oh there's no pain like a bear
25:51oh there's no pain like a bear
25:52oh there's no pain like a bear
25:53oh there's no pain like a bear
25:54oh there's no pain like a bear
25:55oh there's no pain like a bear
25:56oh there's no pain like a bear
25:57oh there's no pain like a bear
25:58oh there's no pain like a bear
25:59oh there's no pain like a bear
26:00oh there's no pain like a bear
26:01oh there's no pain like a bear
26:02oh there's no pain like a bear
26:03Looked like it might have been the hopper I think, I'm going to go check it out.
26:14Oh my , oh man that's a big rock.
26:19At Scribner Creek, ten hours into his first night shift for Kevin Beetz, new hire Taven
26:26has shut down the wash plant, Chelsea March and Tyler Potter from the day shift arrive
26:45early to help clear the blockage, it looks like a big rock got through the grizzlies.
26:52I don't know how they managed to make their way through the grizzlies of this big and the
26:56grizzlies are this big.
26:58I think we're going to have to get that big rock chained up to the grizzlies.
27:01Oh yeah, so use the power of the grizzlies to remote and lift it enough at least to get
27:05the dirt out.
27:06Loosen up, hopefully.
27:07Yeah, exactly.
27:12Go on the top.
27:15Beauty.
27:18Taven's going to jump in there, poke around, we're going to run the chain through the top
27:23and wrap the grizzly bars with the chain and we'll try and give her a little jiggle, see
27:30if we can pop it out inside of the feeder.
27:34The grizzly bars on the feeder screen out large boulders to protect the wash plant from
27:40damage.
27:42But months of wear and tear have bent them out of shape, creating holes.
27:48A large rock has fallen into the hopper, blocking its feed conveyor.
27:55The crew's quick fix, dig out a tunnel underneath the hundred pound boulder, wrap a chain around
28:04it, then attach the chain to the grizzlies and use its hydraulic ram to lift and free the
28:11rock.
28:21Here's the other side, Taven.
28:23Pull that.
28:26Okay.
28:30Down time, ugh.
28:32Get out of here.
28:33Yeah.
28:34We'll drop the grizzlies back down and hook it to the grizzlies and try and pull it up.
28:50Keep tapping it up.
28:51Yeah.
29:00Down, down, down.
29:01Good man.
29:10No.
29:14Did it break the chain?
29:15Nope.
29:16Might have wiggled off.
29:19Charles, can you turn the feeder on a little bit?
29:25Oh yeah, that's coming.
29:26Yeah.
29:27That's about as big as they come.
29:36I gotta get her going again.
29:48The rock's out, plant's running again.
29:50A little chaotic, but plant's going, so that's what counts.
30:00Hey, Taven.
30:01Quite the jam up last night.
30:02Oh.
30:03Big rock slipped through the grizzlies.
30:05I see you got it out.
30:06How'd that go?
30:07So we ended up tying a chain to the grizzlies and wiggling it up.
30:10Good job, man.
30:12Well, sounds like you had enough excitement for today, so you may as well go get some sleep.
30:17Enjoy the day.
30:19Sounds like Taven had a little excitement for his first night shift.
30:21Lifting the rock with the grizzlies bars.
30:22Good plan.
30:23So, yeah.
30:24Not bad for his first night.
30:53So I'm running Bob and I have been doing now for quite a few days, which means I'm down here all by myself.
31:02Obviously, I've got to keep Bob fed.
31:04I've got to make sure that Bob doesn't f*** up.
31:09With me being such a rookie, it kind of terrifies me, but I've got to learn these things at the end of the day.
31:17Since I've been here, Tyson, when we go back home of an evening, he's like an army sergeant or something.
31:24He's like, what do we do when there's something wrong with the plan?
31:27What do we do?
31:28What do we do?
31:29And I'm like, I run for the generator.
31:31I hit the three free speaker.
31:33And then he's like, what's next?
31:34And I'm like, I hit the bypass.
31:36And he's like, good.
31:48I just heard a big crash, which is, yep, there goes the rock.
31:53If they make it out onto the bell, I've got to make sure that they go all the way up and into the wash plan.
31:59If they don't go all the way up and into the wash plan, that means they could be stuck on the belt somewhere.
32:05Somewhere.
32:15Two miles away.
32:17So, you know, right now the plant pad up here in the Golden Mile seems to be coming along pretty good.
32:22Hang on a sec, guys.
32:24I don't know what's going on, but I just got a text from India saying help.
32:41Come on, Jarv.
32:42Dog that appears out of nowhere.
32:43Go on.
32:44Oh, there's a big jamming on the belt.
33:03I've just had to shut down Bob.
33:05I mean, look at this.
33:07It's a massive rock.
33:12Humongous.
33:14I really hope that's not up the belt.
33:17At the bridge cut, on solo shift, running wash plant Bob, rookie loader operator India has shut down with a jammed up conveyor.
33:27Every single minute counts here, so at least try and get rid of all this.
33:39OK, here's Tyson.
33:43Can you turn the water off?
33:44I couldn't turn it all the way off.
33:57You could just send me more context.
34:00Text, please.
34:02Rather than just help.
34:03I don't know if you're stuck underneath the machine or if the wash plant's on fire or...
34:09OK.
34:11If you're going to send a text, don't just say help.
34:14OK.
34:19That should be able to move that.
34:21Want to jump down?
34:22Well, it's like two huge rocks.
34:24There's like one underneath that as well.
34:26Oh, yeah.
34:36Jump down for a sec.
34:37OK.
34:41Watch yourself.
34:42I'm going to be throwing a massive rock off this side.
34:48Watch yourself.
34:51All right.
34:52Yeah.
34:53I'll go, uh, get the shaker going.
34:54All right.
34:55Yeah.
34:56I'll go, uh, get the shaker going.
34:59It's hope for no more rock jam ups today.
35:00Thank you so much for coming for help out there.
35:12Nice work, India.
35:13India did really well.
35:14She caught it before it turned into a massive pile of dirt, because that's what happens.
35:25All in all, I don't think that was too much of a bad shutdown for Bob here, and I'm glad that I broke my shutdown virginity in a way that nothing was damaged and nobody was hurt.
35:38I definitely think I gave Tyson a little bit of a heart attack there with that text. Hopefully Tyson's heart is OK.
35:53Looking at it like I can see the difference from our start point to now, and things are looking pretty peachy right now.
36:08I guess it's as low as she'll go.
36:23In Vegas Valley, another new hire has been working alone. Chris Lalonde has finally cleared the sludge from the bottom of a tight spot.
36:32You guys just want to swing on down and come have a look at the progress I've made.
36:43Chris, you want to check on her?
36:47Looked good there.
36:49You did a killer job on it.
36:50Yeah, it looked pretty clean.
36:52Has it been fun?
36:53Fun.
36:54Fun to sit in a machine and re-familiarize.
36:56It hasn't been fun, don't lie.
36:59Yeah, I think we'll just get the trucks in here and see what we can get out.
37:01Let's get the gold.
37:10Ready, Bailey?
37:12Yeah, come on down. Let's see what this is going to do.
37:15Sounds good.
37:21Trying to get one truck in, one truck out.
37:23It's definitely not just drive in, drive out kind of situation.
37:26You've got to back down all the way in here.
37:28To haul pay from the bottom of the 200-foot-deep valley, Kyle and Chris have to take turns reversing their trucks down a narrow single track with steep banks.
37:41Yeah, it's finally the first scoop into Kyle here.
37:42What's it looking like from down there, Bailey?
37:43Yeah, it's pretty tight and, you know, in this position we need more room for sure.
37:54I don't like this.
37:55It's such a, it's not a, it's just not right, you know?
37:56What's it looking like from down there, Bailey?
37:59Yeah, it's pretty tight, and, you know, in this position,
38:02we need more room for sure.
38:09I don't like this.
38:21It's such a, it's not a, it's just not right, you know?
38:24I'm just wondering if it's too dangerous.
38:27I do take the safety of my crew very seriously.
38:30You have to keep it safe.
38:32I had a visit from some inspectors.
38:34They have the power to shut me down.
38:35If mine inspectors visited the claim
38:38and judged Vegas Valley at risk of landslide,
38:42Rick could be shut down for the season.
38:46I don't know what I was thinking, man.
38:47Let's get the out of here.
38:48Yeah, you sure?
38:49Pull it out of there.
38:50Let's move on.
38:51Well, I guess that's it for this now.
38:52I was really focused on the gold down there because we need it,
38:54and I wasn't fully appreciating how this was actually going to look.
38:55We need to get this set up better.
38:56We're not ready for this.
38:57To make Vegas Valley safe to mine, Rick will have to expand the bottom of the pit to make more room,
39:18which could take weeks and delay him getting on the gold.
39:27We'll probably get a little bit of gold out of it.
39:28It ain't gonna be much, but it did not take long to see that that was too dangerous.
39:48Hey, guys.
39:53Hey, guys.
39:54How it goes?
39:55Good. How are you?
39:56So tired.
39:57Yeah.
39:58I feel you.
39:59It's the end of Kevin's first week running 24-7,
40:03and he's invited crew members Tyler and Chelsea to see if it's paid off.
40:09All that work for this little bit of .
40:11Cool to see it all cleaned up.
40:13Yeah.
40:14So how's Taven been working out on night shifts?
40:16So far, so good.
40:17Keeps the plant running.
40:18Yeah.
40:19I mean, the priority number one is keeping the plant going 24-7,
40:22which we've been doing pretty good at, as you can see.
40:25Yep.
40:26Yeah, right?
40:27The amount of work that we do, it doesn't look like a lot,
40:29but for the price of gold right now, that's...
40:31Well, it makes a real difference.
40:33Probably pretty all right, yeah.
40:34Let's weigh it up and find out exactly how good we've been doing.
40:37For sure.
40:38This is Kevin's first gold wave for two weeks,
40:42and his first from his new Sphinx cut.
40:45He's expecting to see at least 200 ounces.
40:5410, 20, 50, 100, 120, 158.
41:06Second jar.
41:07Yeah.
41:08160, 170, 180, 200, 230, 240, 250.245.
41:21That's pretty cool.
41:22Yeah.
41:23Two weeks of running non-stop.
41:24That's always nice.
41:25Yeah.
41:26That's good.
41:27It's nice, yeah.
41:28Worth $876,000, Kevin's best gold wave of the season,
41:34taking his total to 583 ounces, over $2 million in gold.
41:40It goes to show that the effort we're putting in is paying out.
41:44Absolutely, yeah.
41:45We should get back to her.
41:47You guys in a little bit?
41:48Cool.
41:49Sounds good.
41:50Sounds good.
41:51See you guys.
41:52See ya.
41:54That was a really good goal, eh?
41:56250 ounces?
41:57That's not bad at all.
41:58No, no.
41:59That's pretty nice.
42:00I mean, as long as we keep a good crew going,
42:02which even fits in with everyone, helps us keep going 24-7,
42:06get us closer to that 2,000-ounce goal.
42:09Yeah.
42:10Yeah.
42:19What's up, guys?
42:20How's my record?
42:21Nice firing.
42:22Yeah.
42:24So how has your first week been there, Chris?
42:26Happy to be here.
42:27Your crew's a great crew.
42:28Try my best.
42:29Appreciate you being here.
42:30No, it's good to have you.
42:32Rick Ness and his crew battled all week
42:35to get down to Vegas Valley Paye,
42:38but Rick was only able to run two truckloads
42:41before calling time on the dangerous pit.
42:44Do we know what those two rock trucks got us?
42:47Yeah, actually.
42:48It doesn't look like a lot, but that's an ounce.
42:50Pretty good.
42:51That's really good.
42:52That's almost Raleigh Valley numbers.
42:53Right now our total's at 437.46.
42:56We're not adding a whole bunch to it,
42:59but that brings us to 438.46.
43:01We've got a long ways to go.
43:02Yeah.
43:03Rick's season total is worth one and a half million dollars,
43:07and if he can hit Vegas Valley's riches,
43:11he should be on track for his 1,800-ounce gold.
43:15There's a considerable amount of gold left in there for sure,
43:17and at least the two truckloads told us that.
43:20We're not going to abandon it,
43:21but it's just right now knowing should we be expanding
43:24Vegas Valley so that it's easier to get.
43:26There's a lot of things that need to be extra done to it.
43:28The hole's getting smaller and smaller.
43:30You get trucks in there, you got to do a lot of work.
43:32Everybody busts their asses to get to that little spot,
43:34and they're going to be obviously ready to tackle again,
43:37but you're going to need a solid plan.
43:41I'm going to do my best to try and figure this out,
43:46but I hope that you guys are on board too.
43:49You know what I mean?
43:50I'd say as long as you've got a game plan,
43:52it's probably all a game.
43:54Appreciate it.
43:55Rick faces a tough decision.
43:58Spend weeks expanding Vegas Valley
44:01or find a new spot to mine.
44:05Well, it's a small amount of gold, but it's an ounce.
44:07It tells us there's a lot of gold down there.
44:09We need to get it, but I need to come to a decision on how to do it.
44:12We're going to expand, or what the hell are we going to do?
44:14There's a lot to think about, but a decision has to be made.
44:17Hello.
44:32Hello.
44:33What up?
44:35At Dominion, Parker's crew gathers to find out
44:39if running all four wash plants has reversed last week's slump.
44:44Well, how'd your week go?
44:46Well, I tell you, with four plants running,
44:48it's hopping down here.
44:50How about you guys?
44:52Yeah, we had some stuff happen.
44:54A couple days ago, India messages me,
44:57and all I get is help, exclamation mark.
45:00No context.
45:01Oh, no.
45:02When I get there, and she was up shoveling on the computer,
45:04I'm like, you can't do that.
45:06Like, that is not cool.
45:08Like, you have to say the wash plant's down,
45:10or a loader's got a flat tire, or there's a bear in the cut,
45:13because I could not get there fast enough.
45:15She's like, what did you want me to do?
45:16I was shoveling.
45:17I'm like, well, text, like, three more words.
45:20Like...
45:21Help, help, I'm shoveling.
45:23Yeah, like...
45:26Well, you want to see how Roxanne did, Mitch?
45:29Yeah, buddy. How'd we do?
45:31First, gold from Ken and Stuart's claim
45:34that's averaging 130 ounces a week.
45:37All right.
45:39Roxanne.
45:40Here we go.
45:4230,
45:4460,
45:4690,
45:48130,
45:50yeah, keep going,
45:52140,
45:54150.4.
45:56Nice.
45:57Nice.
45:58Yeah.
45:59That's an improvement over last week.
46:02The golden mile.
46:03Golden mile.
46:04And that's for both plants.
46:06Yes.
46:07Next, gold from Slucifer and Big Red on Dominion Creek,
46:13which last week delivered 232 ounces.
46:17We've got 20,
46:1940,
46:20120,
46:21140,
46:22160,
46:23200,
46:24230,
46:26250,
46:27250,
46:281.55.
46:29Nice.
46:30Yeah.
46:31Deadly.
46:32Tatiana.
46:33Well, now I'll give you the bridge cut.
46:37Finally,
46:38gold from wash plant Bob,
46:40averaging 170 ounces a week.
46:4410,
46:4520,
46:4630,
46:4860,
46:4980,
46:50103.7.
46:54Down from a little bit.
46:59Bob's been a bit depressing to be honest.
47:01Yeah.
47:02Like for a pit that we stripped like 40 feet of dirt off of the top of.
47:06I don't know if you're really getting into that good pay yet or not.
47:09There's a lot of low grade pay.
47:11Hopefully it'll come back up somewhere.
47:13Well, last week we had 428.7 ounces.
47:19This week,
47:21505.4.
47:23Not bad.
47:24Our season total,
47:265,855.9.
47:29So we're going forward.
47:32It'd be nice if we went forward a little faster, but we're getting there.
47:35Yeah.
47:36We just have to keep plugging at her.
47:38Yeah.
47:39An 80 ounce increase on last week's total.
47:43And with gold at record high prices.
47:46Parker's mind over $20 million.
47:50More cash than he's ever made in one season.
47:54All right.
47:55Keep it up.
47:56You guys.
47:57Thanks guys.
47:58You bet.
47:59Excellent job as always.
48:01We try to keep it clean.
48:02That is super clean.
48:03Yeah.
48:04Yeah.
48:05Yeah.
