00:00Upheaval in the AFC East. Why is that? Just about everybody fired their head coaches and you're
00:05moving on. You're trying to find new coaches and who's going to land in the right spots and maybe
00:08the Buffalo Bills.
00:10The most coveted job opened up in the NFL. You could talk about the Pittsburgh Steelers
00:13and their stability or the ball.
00:15Some good jobs are out there, but a job was handed over yesterday by the Buffalo Bills.
00:20The Buffalo Bills to offensive coordinator Joe Brady and a Jordan Schultz report yesterday.
00:25The main reasons why they hired him. The CEO portion of their interview really stood out to them.
00:30His vision for how everything would be structured from head coaching seat
00:33all the way down viewed as a
00:35home run. He also nailed the importance of alignment between coaching and player personnel.
00:40Five-year deal. Brady's their guy. Honestly, what were they going to say? We had nobody left over.
00:45We were stuck. Brady had to be our guy. He was an okay interview. We'll see what happens.
00:50Again, and this was a guy that
00:55you know, was an assistant at one point quarterback's guy and
01:00then, of course, when of all people, the guy you just fired was the one that actually
01:05promoted him a couple of years ago. Well, kudos.
01:10You know, that's great stuff, but I just don't know. I mean, keeping it in-house.
01:15Like this and replacing Sean McDermott with the guy that, you know, what
01:20wasn't good enough to get the job a couple of years ago, but was good enough after they had to move on.
01:25And replace him. And he's done a decent job, but he's been on...
01:30The hot seat in Buffalo, Joe Brady, because there have been stretches over the last couple of seasons.
01:35Where, boy, that offense got stagnant. It just wasn't working. They couldn't...
01:40Pushed the ball down the field. There were question marks. I mean, the running game has improved.
01:45It's been great, but I mean, I don't know. Now you're talking about a guy with a relationship.
01:5036 years old with your 30-year-old franchise quarterback. How much...
01:55What do you expect does he have in that locker room? And what is he going to do differently than...
02:00And what Sean McDermott did with the same quality of players. I don't get the move.
02:05If you're going to make that move, clear house and bring in a fresh perspective, but...
02:10Since you can't do that, I guess, well, he's the next best thing.
