00:00What is going to happen with Philadelphia Eagle, A.J. Brown?
00:05It's been one of the biggest stories ever since the Combines
00:08and ever since free agency began a couple weeks ago.
00:12Listen, A.J. Brown has had it in Philadelphia.
00:16His last two seasons, he's underachieved
00:19because the offense has gone in a different direction
00:22and he wants out.
00:23It's not that he hates the quarterback.
00:25He hates the head coach
00:28and what the head coach's philosophy is by running the football.
00:32Take a look at the numbers.
00:33Ever since A.J. Brown has had Saquon Barkley in the huddle with him,
00:39two previous years, he was at 3,000 yards.
00:42His last two years, he's been in Philly four years,
00:46he's had 2,000 yards.
00:48The offense does not go through A.J. Brown
00:50and he's now looking at legacy.
00:53Now, we're very fortunate to have a little bit of an insight
00:56with one of our friends that's one of the executives
00:58for the New England Patriots.
01:01And it's not hard to figure out if you look at
01:04who's in that organization who I would be affiliated with.
01:08Well, we have been told this,
01:10that the New England Patriots have offered a two and a three
01:15for A.J. Brown to the Philadelphia Eagles.
01:18The Philadelphia Eagles want a one and a two.
01:21Now, here's the problem.
01:23There's 32 million reasons why the Eagles would have a problem with this
01:27and also the New England Patriots would.
01:29Remember, you would have to acquire that money.
01:31And there's also a June 1 destination, which means this.
01:35Post-June 1, the salary cap hit to the Eagles is $14 million.
01:41Pre-June 1, it's $48 million.
01:43So, you've got to look at a trade, I would think, post-June 1,
01:48the same kind of scenario that we saw with Michael Parsons
01:51and the Dallas Cowboys when they moved him prior to the start of the NFL season.
01:56Now, here, Howie Roseman, the general manager of the Philadelphia Eagles,
02:00all he has to do is flip the switch, and this deal will get done.
02:06Adam Schefter, Albert Breer, everyone believes that it's not if he's going to be traded,
02:12it's only a matter of time when he'll be traded.
02:15Now, listen, here's the deal with A.J., great football player.
02:19And what we saw with Jalen Waddell and what Jalen Waddell and the asking price was
02:24on what the Denver Broncos did when the Miami Dolphins sent Jalen Waddell
02:29to the Denver Broncos, look, you got first and a third basically in here,
02:34and this is pretty much going to be the asking price for A.J. Brown.
02:39A.J. Brown is a better player than Jalen Waddell.
02:42He is one of the most electric players that we have in the NFL.
02:45I don't believe his skills are diminished.
02:48I believe it's the style of play that has aggravated A.J. Brown.
02:52Look, there's no question about it.
02:55This kid's one of the greatest players the NFL has.
02:58You look at his yak, which is yards after the catch,
03:01he's one of the best in the league.
03:03The Philadelphia Eagles, during the Nick Sirianni run,
03:06he has been the difference.
03:08Is he the greatest wide receiver in Philadelphia Eagle history,
03:10and that includes Terrell Owens?
03:12Absolutely.
03:13His four years have produced two NFC championships and a Super Bowl.
03:19Now it's about legacy.
03:21Now it's about making the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
03:25Now it's about getting his numbers.
03:27A.J. Brown wants to be considered one of the top receivers in the game again.
03:31I don't believe he has diminished skills.
03:33I believe that offense has held him back.
03:37Now, again, you look at the 50-18 the last four years.
03:4250-18 the Philadelphia Eagles have been,
03:45and they've won two NFC titles and a Super Bowl during the Sirianni era
03:50over the last four years.
03:52A.J. Brown doesn't care about winning any longer.
03:55A.J. Brown cares about legacy.
03:57He's got his ring.
03:59He's got his two NFC title rings.
04:01Now he wants his shot at going to Canton.
04:04Every single player that plays in the National Football League
04:09wants his cake and eat it.
04:11You want to get paid.
04:12You want to win.
04:14And you want to go to Canton.
04:16Here's a player that sees those things.
04:19It is going to be a tough putt if he stays in Philadelphia.
04:22And by the way, he doesn't want to stay in Philadelphia.
04:26He wants to go someplace that he's always coveted.
04:29That is New England.
04:31He's been a New England Patriot fan his entire life growing up,
04:35and this is where he wants to finish his career, is in New England.
04:39And by the way, the head football coach is Mike Vrabel.
04:43Where did A.J. Brown start his career?
04:46He started it in Tennessee with Mike Vrabel.
04:49Do you think there's any coincidence that A.J. Brown,
04:54his last two teams that he's played on,
04:56you had Derrick Henry in Tennessee,
04:59and now you have Saquon Barkley in Philadelphia.
05:02It's not that he doesn't want to be in a run-dominant offense.
05:06He just wants the offense to go through him in the passing game.
05:10He just wants to be in a run-dominant offense.
