00:00Hello there, good afternoon. Feels like the rain's been with us non-stop recently and
00:05even this weekend some of us will continue to see spells of wet and windy weather. But
00:09the good news is there will also be some dry and bright spells too. Now why has it been
00:14so wet recently? Well it's all thanks to low pressure. Moving in from the west and at times
00:19this weekend continuously swirling around parts of the west and south west. This area
00:23of low pressure, named earlier in the week by the Portuguese Met service as Storm Ingrid,
00:28and it's going to continue to bring some persistent, if not heavy, outbreaks of rain
00:32at times across south west England, parts of Wales and then later on into parts of Northern
00:36Ireland. Not only this but some quite strong gusty winds as well. This could lead to some
00:41large coastal waves and where we see persistent outbreaks of rain it's likely we'll see some
00:45localised flooding here too, with a Met Office yellow warning in force for rain. Also some
00:50spells of rain across north east Scotland, this likely falling as snow across high ground.
00:55But everywhere else between these two zones of rain it should be mostly dry and bright,
01:00a mix of clouds, some brighter spells, perhaps even some sunny spells later on in the afternoon
01:05across parts of Lincolnshire, south east England and maybe even east Anglia as well. Now temperatures
01:11are around average for this time of year but it's likely feeling quite chilly under cloudy skies
01:15where we see persistent rain and in those strong gusty winds as well, particularly around eastern
01:19coasts quite a strong easterly breeze here. Now later on into the evening we'll see a brief
01:25drier interlude across south west England before another heavy band of showers starts to move
01:30its way through. Some persistent heavy outbreaks of rain across Northern Ireland with another
01:34Met Office yellow warning for rain in force here. And elsewhere it's likely we'll see a continuous
01:40mix of clouds and spells of rain. Most areas are likely to see some outbreaks of rain through
01:45the course of the night but with the added breeze and the cloud that should hold temperatures up,
01:49so mostly frost free, widely in the mid single figures to start on Sunday. But Sunday yet again
01:56it's going to be another unsettled day, mostly cloudy with some spells of rain. This is going to be
02:01likely heavy at times particularly across parts of the south, still falling as hill snow across the
02:06very far north east of Scotland. Once again we could see some brightness later on in the day, Northern
02:12Ireland, East Anglia, the far southeast of England could see some brighter spells but for most it is
02:17going to be quite a cloudy Sunday on offer. Still those temperatures around average a degree or two
02:23down around eastern coasts and still in that easterly breeze it is going to feel that much chillier but
02:28overall later Sunday winds largely dying away but still quite a brisk breeze which may just add on to
02:34the chill. Now for the first part of Sunday evening still a mix of clouds, some showery outbreaks but
02:40through the overnight period we will eventually start to see cloud ease away. So as we head our way
02:46closer into Monday, a slight clearer spell but with plenty of cold air around so turning chilly into
02:53Monday with some frost, some sunshine for a time but then we do have further weather fronts starting to
02:58push in from the west. This could bring in some rain, possibly even some hill snow and then it's all
03:03eyes to the southwest once again. Another area of low pressure starting to move through here so once again
03:08bringing some rain and some strong winds. Now don't forget parts of the southwest is where we've seen
03:14storm Ingrid, also a couple of weeks ago storm Goretti, so we've seen impacts here already and with another
03:19area of low pressure on its way we could see further impacts so likely some more Met Office warnings issued.
03:25So of course don't forget to stay update across our social media channels and of course here on YouTube.
