00:00Some more cloud on its way this evening, also some fairly dense fog patches, these will
00:05likely linger through into Sunday, though hopefully we'll also see some brightness this
00:09weekend, some of us have been lucky to see it this afternoon.
00:12Here's the satellite and radar imagery from earlier and we can see many areas of England
00:16and Wales have started to see some breaks through that cloud, though also there have
00:20been plenty of spells of rain, particularly across north and north-east Scotland, north-east
00:24parts of England as well.
00:26And as we head through this evening it's similar areas that will start to see this really
00:30dense fog start to form.
00:32Many eastern areas could bring some visibility issues here and also many areas of central
00:37and southern England could start to see some fairly low cloud to develop.
00:41So that does mean it's going to be quite a grey, murky start for many of us, a few spells
00:45of rain just starting to clip into the far south of the UK.
00:48But across the far north of Scotland, lots of clear skies here, so temperatures very quickly
00:53dipping away, many areas likely dipping below freezing.
00:56But for most towns and cities, remaining around the mid-single figures.
01:02So another grey start into Sunday.
01:04As I say, some of this fog could be quite slow to clear, so do take care if you're out and
01:08about through the early hours of Sunday.
01:10We'll eventually start to see some spells of rain start to push into parts of south-west
01:15England, parts of Wales.
01:16This will shift its way northwards through the course of the day, moving into central
01:20and northern parts of England.
01:21So quite a wet end to the weekend here.
01:24The best of the brightness though, across parts of East Anglia, Sussex and Kent, also
01:28Northern Ireland.
01:29The far north of Scotland should see some brightness to end the day.
01:32Feeling rather chilly where the cloud sticks around, but still fairly mild across the south-east.
01:37Highs reaching around 10 to 11 degrees Celsius here.
01:40Now through Sunday evening, there won't be much change.
01:44Still lots of cloud, also some spells of rain, but most rain fizzling away through the early
01:48hours of Monday.
01:49Then we've got this secondary band of rain starting to push through into the west, moving
01:53into Northern Ireland, the Western Isles as well through the early hours of Monday.
01:57It's starting to turn a little bit blustery here.
02:00Now where we do see any clear spells, once again that's where we'll see temperatures dip
02:03away and we could see some patchy frost in places, particularly across Scotland.
02:08And similar to what we'll see on Sunday morning, some quite low cloud and some fog that will
02:13be fairly slow to clear.
02:14So once again, do take care for your early morning commute on Monday.
02:18And then once again, it's going to be a rather grey picture.
02:21Some spells of rain, some drizzle, the most persistent outbreaks of rain across Northern
02:25Ireland and western parts of Scotland.
02:28But by the afternoon, still a chance of some brighter weather.
02:31South-west Wales, south-west England, also parts of the south-east and north-west Scotland
02:36as well, we'll start to see some breaks in that cloud, allowing some brighter spells.
02:41And we've got fairly similar temperatures too, highs across the south reaching around
02:4510 degrees Celsius.
02:46But once again, where we do see that cloud stick around, it's really just going to add
02:50on to the chill, so feeling a bit cooler in these areas.
02:53Now to finish off the week, we've still got this blocking area of high pressure out to
02:57the east.
02:58So any fronts that start to move in from the west bump up across the country and do remain
03:03there for some time.
03:04So once again, more clouds and spells of rain on their way, but still a southerly airflow,
03:09so remaining mostly mild through the overnight period.
