00:00We chase easy, you know, and unfortunately our kids are following the same example.
00:05They're choosing easy. Easy is a path that leads nowhere.
00:10If you look at your own life in terms of any achievement, anything that you're proud of,
00:14any performance or award that you receive, it always comes after hard work.
00:20And hard we avoid. This applies universally on every subject.
00:25Easy is not what we should chase. Easy solutions, you know, may be easy for the politicians to put into effect today,
00:34but they don't answer any of our long-term problems, which are really the issue that they should be looking at.
00:42And unfortunately, they are thinking of their survival, political survival and next elections.
00:46The reality is, if we could just understand, easy is essentially the path downwards.
00:57So your objective is, whatever you do that is hard is changing something inside of you,
01:03whether as a country or as an individual.
01:06When you're doing something that is hard, you're changing.
01:09You're actually working on yourself.
01:12And even failing is okay.
01:15Because if you worked hard and failed, you are growing.
01:20Failing because you have not tried, because it is too easy, that's a slippery slope.
01:25But if you're working hard, then failing is a stepping stone.
01:29And even for Malaysia, right now,
01:31we should be looking at this as something that we need to embrace.
01:38Work hard.
01:40It will lead to growth.
