00:00Shalom one and all this is a Scythian Joe back and I just wanted to introduce my book selections

00:13right now um this video won't take very long um first of all I want to recommend a book a study

00:23aid for you with uh your biblical uh your biblical uh um sleuthing if you want to call it that uh

00:33first book here is uh Thayer's Greek English Lections of the New Testament this is a real

00:42good study aid I I really highly endorse you getting one of these um it uh helps you out with

00:51uh the Greek not only the Greek language you know the Greek word for the the the word in English

00:58it gives you some kind of a definition of things and stuff like that um this was used I only got

01:07this for probably ten dollars online um several years ago um but it's a good it's a good study

01:13aid it's a very good study aid you know for the ones that want to dive deeper and you know learning

01:20the scriptures and everything um and uh the big daddy of them all right here that I really really

01:26recommend if I could pick this thing up is the the New Strong's Concordance this book here oh look at

01:38that this was a big big this is a Big Mac that's what it is okay and this and uh this book here yeah

01:47this uh this uh this has uh like in the Old Testament you know what Hebrew words from English

01:55you know sometimes you gotta go to uh you know gotta go to the the there's a Hebrew section for the Old

02:02Testament there's a Greek for the New Testament and uh there's certain there's certain numbers

02:10associated with these you know words um you know if I could find find something uh like an example

02:20uh okay like um okay the word strangers strangers I'm just saying Genesis 31 15 the number would have

02:34been uh 52 37 uh are we not counted of him stranger um yeah I mean that's pretty much for you know for

02:48that uh um it's not hard to figure out it's very very helpful because the you know from the English

02:56words you know the translations of the English words into either you know from the you know Greek or

03:02Hebrew it's it's it's very different sometimes it's a complicated process sometimes words can't um suit

03:10they can't suit the the real meaning behind you know the word or the phrase what what they're you

03:17know whoever's whatever's talking you know talking about you know um I'm trying to give a get an

03:22example like like uh wine you know wine in the Bible sometimes it'd mean fermented or unfermented you know

03:31uh there ain't no definition between there ain't no really word translation between the two that's

03:38where uh uh uh people people get caught up in that you know they uh they they assume it's you know wine

03:45is alcohol not like uh grape juice and that's not the case you know it's just you know the uh

03:53translators they do their best they really they do their best to try to

03:57balance balance the meanings and it's it's very hard some some Hebrew words or even Greek words

04:04don't have a an equivalent to the English so they have to substitute a close word or something

04:10but there's also been times in the past where some um uh people you know like translators got in there

04:18translated the wrong words to fit their own dogma their church dogmas and um um that's not you know

04:29that's not right because you're not supposed to you know add to any of the scriptures you're not

04:34supposed to take away any word of scriptures that is a no-no and I'd say I would never recommend that

04:40because you're getting big big trouble with that with the maker you know with the outweigh

04:47but uh anyways yeah that's uh these are powerful tools I mean it's you know they help you out

04:54to understand scripture meanings things like that um but uh yeah that's all I really wanted to say

05:03about all this um I'll have more to come whenever you know but in the meantime you know just you know

05:10take my advice and uh get get these and study them look I mean they're really fascinating and they

05:17they open your eyes to what scripture really really really means it does you know and and I've been

05:23blessed you know to have these in my aid to figure things out because sometimes you know and uh chapters

05:31you know the verses it's not really what you expect is said and when you see this it really opens your

05:38eyes what what what the author what the writer is really is really trying to convey that's about

05:44that but yeah yeah so anyways I just want to give you a quick tip on that and hopefully you know you

05:52guys just have fun with that and you know learn a lot more and help you aid you in your you know

05:59pursuit for knowledge and spiritual wisdom but anyways that's all I wanted to say so everybody have a
