00:00Hey, shalom, brothers and sisters. Welcome back. Today I want to talk about something
00:05that's called pitfalls of drunkenness. We all know about that. We've all known somebody's
00:13done it. And you know, some of us, you know, some people do it. Some people don't. Some
00:19people can handle it better than others. But anyways, I got scripture here I want to share
00:24with you today. And we're going to start with Revelation. And this is more of a spiritual
00:29drunkenness, not physical, spiritual. And 17, 17 verse 6. And I saw the woman drunken with
00:39the blood of the saints and with the blood of the martyrs of Yeshua. And when I saw her,
00:44I wandered with great admiration. So she wasn't a literal woman drinking, drinking blood and
00:52mixed with wine. But it was, the woman symbolizes a harlot church, a false church. I'm going to skip
01:01over to 18 verse 3. For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication,
01:10and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her. And the merchants of the earth have
01:16waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies. So, of course, that sounds familiar today with the
01:23merchants and inflation and high prices, and they're making a killing. But in the end times,
01:30it's going to get harder like that, too. It's going to be like that. So now I want to go back to
01:36Genesis with Noah. Of course, you know, after the flood, Noah came to rest in the mountains of Ararat.
01:47He planted a vineyard, and then he got drunk. But you don't know if it's purposely or if he did it by
01:56a mistake. But it's in chapter 9, verse 21. And he drank of the wine and was drunken, and he was
02:06uncovered within his tent. It's the case where he got drunk and passed out, and Ham and his son
02:13Cannon went in there, and they did something so deplorable and despicable. The Bible don't clarify
02:18what they did. Some people say that they castrated them because they didn't want to share the
02:24inheritance. Others said they sodomized them because they were drunk, too. And others said
02:30they raped their own mother, Noah's wife. But whatever it was, it was so bad that Noah, when he
02:40sobered up the next day, he pronounced a curse on Cannon. And, you know, throughout the biblical
02:46history there, the people of Cannon has always been cursed. But we're going to skip
02:54over to Deuteronomy now. Now, Deuteronomy 29, verse 6 says, states,
03:04You have not eaten bread, neither have you drunk wine or strong drink, that you might know that
03:11I am Yahweh, your Elohim. So that's plainly stated right there. Excuse me. Now, Proverbs has a
03:21rich abundance of life's lessons. And if you go to chapter 20 of Proverbs, verse 1, it also
03:34says,
03:34Well, wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging, and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise.
03:42Now, we're going to skip over down to chapter 23, verse 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, and 35.
03:57Who hath woe, who hath sorrow, who hath contentions, who hath babbling, who hath wounds without cause,
04:07who hath redness of the eyes? They that tarry long at the wine, they will go seek mixed drink,
04:15mixed wine. Well, look not upon the wine when it is red, when it giveth his color in the cup,
04:23when it moveth itself up all right. At the last it biteth like a serpent, and stingeth like an adder.
04:33Thine eyes shall behold strange women, and thine heart shall utter perverse things.
04:39Yea, thou shalt be as he that lieth down in the midst of the sea, or as he hath lieth upon the top
04:46of the mast. They have stricken me, shalt thou say that I was not sick? They have beaten me,
04:56and I felt it not. When shall I wake? I will seek it yet again.
05:00So, it's just repetitious movements, you know. Wake up, start over again, start over again.
05:10Uh, no, go to 26, 26, 9. Let's see what it states here.
05:26As a thorn goeth up into the hand of a drunkard, so is a parable in the mouth of fools.
05:32So, you know, my, my, my input on it, though, is drinking itself isn't necessarily bad, you know,
05:44moderate or whatever, but, you know, if you get blasted, you know, you can, uh, succumb to
05:52certain influences. You should, you know, really lose control, do things you don't want to do,
05:57things like that. You know, you know, like, uh, book of Acts at the beginning when, uh,
06:05when, uh, the apostles were baptized, baptized with fire and the Holy Spirit, and they went out and
06:10started speaking in different languages, preaching, preaching the gospel. You know, people, the crowd
06:18thought they were drunk, but it was too early in the morning for them to be drunk, and they weren't
06:21drunk anyways. But it might tell you, you know, you know, when, uh, Paul told Tim, Timothy,
06:27you know, to drink a little bit of wine for a stomach ailment, you know. Some people say it's
06:33grape juice. Others say, no, it's, you know, it's alcohol, but it could be either, but it's kind of
06:38hard to say because of the translation. The translation from fermented and unfermented is kind
06:43of, kind of cloudy, you know, in the English version from the Greek version. It doesn't necessarily
06:50say if it's non-alcoholic or alcoholic. And you got to also remember that, that Yeshua
06:56also turned water into wine and, and is a bad, best wine, I guess, better than the ones
07:03that the banquet people are drinking. And, you know, people don't drink, consume tons and
07:10tons of non-alcoholic wine, get bloated, you know, but they do. It's been known that people,
07:16you know, drink tons and tons of alcohol just, just, uh, feel better, numb themselves, get
07:22drunk, you know, but, but, uh, I want to go back to, uh, should go to, uh, first Corinthians
07:305.11. 5.11 says,
07:34But now I have written unto you, not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother
07:39be a fornicator, covetous, or idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or a extortioner,
07:46with such an one is not to eat with.
07:51So that's, uh, that's Paul's, what Paul's trying to tell the, the church right there,
07:57you know, because they, apparently they've had a little bit of problems. They needed some
08:02instructions. Now, 6, 6.10. Go to 6.10 here, just in 1 Corinthians.
08:12Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revelers, nor extortioners shall inherit the
08:17kingdom of Yahweh. None of them will. And, uh, we need to, we need to remember that and
08:25take it to heart, you know, and pray for the, pray for the people, stay strong, stay for the,
08:30pray for the people, you know, help, try to help them out when they're there the best you can.
08:36You know, the people, you know, most of them ain't, you know, don't know what they're doing.
08:41They're, you know, normal lice, but there's some people out there that can't hold up a job. They
08:46can't, you know, they beg, they steal just for that bottle. But there's others that drink
08:54responsibly, or they, at least they hold up jobs and everything. Don't cause trouble. Don't get in
08:58trouble with the law. And that's perfectly, that's, that's fine. But, you know, that's on a physical
09:04basis, but spiritual and health, health-wise is another thing too. Uh, but anyways, you know,
09:11there's always been a controversy about, you know, should, should Christians or Messianics,
09:18should they drink at all, you know, and, you know, and, uh, the Passover, Christian Passover,
09:23you know, they use most of the, most of the churches that do the Christian, Christian Passover,
09:30they actually use real wine, but they don't guzzle it. They don't take shots of it or anything
09:35like that and get out of hand. It's more ceremonial and everything symbolic. Uh, but anyways, that's all
09:44I wanted to say about that. And I want to thank you for, you know, watching my videos. Please check my
