00:00Shalom, brothers and sisters. Welcome back. I thank you again for joining me today.
00:04Today I'm going to do a book review for you, and it's an interesting book.
00:08It's called What is the Trinity? Thinking about the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit.
00:14And the author is Dale Tuggy. Dale Tuggy right here.
00:19He's a Unitarian. I've seen him on YouTube.
00:22His lectures, speeches, debates. He debates other people, like Binitarians and Trinitarians.
00:31He debates them. This book here, it's not a very big book.
00:36I like it, but it's not a very big book.
00:40Like 148 pages.
00:45It's got an index on the back.
00:49It's got, yeah, it's got an index on the back here.
00:55If you look at it here, the print is a little bigger. I like that one.
01:00The printing is a little bigger. I could read not to squint my eyes all the time.
01:05The back here is, let's see what this book was.
01:12Copyright was 2017.
01:14Like I said, it's a little book here.
01:19It's a little, but it's a good book.
01:20He talks about the beliefs of the Trinity, where it came from.
01:25See, he don't believe in the Trinity.
01:27Like I said, he's a Unitarian, so he's just breaking it down.
01:31And he's got a table of contents right here, like the introduction.
01:35Don't be afraid to think about God.
01:37Formulas versus interpretations.
01:39Trinity with a capital Trinity versus Trinity with a small t.
01:43The deity of Christ versus the Trinity.
01:49Chapter 5 would be Get a Date.
01:52Persons is number 6.
01:53Substance Abuse.
01:56Mystery Mountain.
01:58What's a God.
01:59And chapter 10 says, Says Who.
02:03So like I said, he's got a nice little introduction page.
02:07He's got some footnotes at the bottom.
02:09If you look, this book's got like little footnotes right at the bottom there.
02:13And I got this book off Amazon.com really cheap.
02:16I think before shipping and handling, I got it for probably like $1.80 or something like that.
02:23I can't remember.
02:23Somewhere in that ballpark figure.
02:27And like I said, it's a good book.
02:28Like I said, the index is in the back.
02:34I'll read the last, on the last page, I'll read the last paragraph to you.
02:40But I'm not, this ain't no spoiler really.
02:43But he says, In my view, this is extremely, eminently sound advice.
02:50We ought to trust both God and his son.
02:53Perhaps trusting God is more foundational though.
02:57So, doing that, a person can come to see that Jesus is his Messiah and the best revealer of his nature and will.
03:05And the central player in God's plan of salvation for all people.
03:10Perhaps a similar point holds for theology.
03:13The foundational question is, who is the one God?
03:17Building on that, you can get, then get a clear on how Jesus relates to him.
03:23So, that was, that was the last paragraph there.
03:28And, yeah, I said, go ahead and grab this book.
03:32Grab that book there.
03:34I don't think he's, I don't think he has any other books published.
03:38But he's written articles and periodicals and things like that.
03:42But, like I said, he's got a, he hosts a podcast.
03:47I think it's called the Trinities, the Trinities Podcast.
03:50And, uh, he's, uh, and Mr. Tuggy, he, uh, he got his PhD from Brown University.
04:00And he's a professor of philosophy at the State, uh, the State University of New York.
04:06So, yeah, I just say, pick this book up if you're really into this.
04:11If, if you guys believe in the Trinity, if you're Binitarian, Unitarian, dualistic,
04:17uh, just, if you pick this up, if you're into this stuff.
04:20So, that's all I have to say right now.
04:22I thank you guys for joining me.
04:24It's been a pleasure.
04:26Please give me a big thumbs up, hit that notification bell, and also subscribe.
04:29I could use some more subscribers.
04:31But, anyways, I gotta go.
04:32I got some things to do.
04:33Until we meet again, brothers and sisters, peace out and shalom.
