PH launches world's first blockchain system for 2026 budget  Information and Communications Technology Secretary Henry Aguda on Jan. 15, 2026 announces the integration of blockchain technology into the 2026 General Appropriations Act (GAA) as part of the government's efforts to ensure transparency and prevent the misuse of public funds. In a press conference in Malacañang, Aguda said the Philippines has become the first country to adopt a blockchain system for its entire national budget. Aguda said the initiative, known as the Digital Bayanihan Chain, digitized the full budget cycle, including congressional approval, disbursement, expenditure and reporting to create a tamper-proof record of government spending. 00:36ang Pilipinas ang unang legislative body sa Asia na gumamit ng blockchain para sa national budget.

00:43At unang bansa sa mundo na may fully on-chain national budget po.

00:48So, first in the Philippines.

00:51Ibig sabihin, ang pera ng taong bayan may permanenting digital na resibyo.

00:56Hindi pwedeng palitan, hindi pwedeng dayahin.

01:00Hindi lang tayo sumabay, nag-leafkrag po tayo.

01:03Habang ang ibang bansa ay gumagamit lamang ng blockchain sa mga portions of their budget,

01:11ito pong taon na ito, matatapos ang taon,

01:13na ang Pilipinas ang maglalagay ng buong budget cycle sa isang tamper-proof system.
