Three people are homeless after a fire destroyed the home they were renting along George Street, La Romain on Sunday.
While the fire service is still investigating and yet to determine a cause for the blaze, a social media video circulated yesterday, shows villagers alleging it was set by a Venezuelan woman.

00:14On the upper level lived 55-year-old Smith Zoe, who we met on Monday.
00:19He says the ground floor was occupied by a 60-something-year-old man and his Venezuelan girlfriend.
00:25Zoe says he was not at home on Sunday morning, but got a call from a neighbor around midday that the house was on fire.
00:47Three vehicles were also partially damaged.
00:50He says he has no idea what caused the blaze.
00:53On social media on Sunday, a video showed villagers gathered, one man dragging and slamming a woman to the ground, accusing her of starting the fire.
01:04Zoe says he did not see what happened, but admitted that many in the community had been complaining about the woman's behavior for some time.
01:13She never gave me no trouble here when she used to come around, but people around complain.

01:19Zoe says he did not agree with harming the woman, saying property and material items can eventually be regained.
01:41He says he is a plumber and does odd maintenance jobs, but all his tools were destroyed in the home he rented for over 17 years.
01:51He's pleading with the public for any assistance they can give.
