03:28Welcome, welcome, welcome. Welcome one in. Welcome to the 411 podcast and welcome to this transformational Tuesday.
03:39Before we go ahead and get started, of course, I have to give a very special thank you to my executive producer, my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
03:48Thank you so much for allowing me another opportunity to come out here and give everyone this 411 podcast.
03:58I also want to thank each and every one of you out there because without your love, support, liking, commenting, sharing, inviting me into your space, none of this will be possible.
04:13We are here, this six vitality, six years later, and I just think back to when I first started and we have come a long way.
04:25Black Diamond community, we have come a long way. I can actually say that this is a true community at this moment.
04:34And again, nothing but gratitude.
04:36So we're here, episode three.
04:42What your body is carrying, your wallet is funding.
04:47What your body is carrying, your wallet is funding.
04:51Song of the day, baggage, by none other than my girl, the queen of hip-hop soul, Miss Mary J. Blige, released in 2005 off of her album, The Breakthrough.
05:07So as we are in this new year, I know a lot of people, they do New Year's resolutions and they have different rituals of what they need to do when they're bringing in the new year.
05:19And then typically a week or two into it, people fall off and definitely a month, you're like, New Year, what?
05:28So the song of the day, baggage, forget about the new year, forget about the rituals, forget about the resolutions.
05:36Every single day that we wake up, we have another opportunity to do it again.
05:41Patti LaBelle has a song called A New Day.
05:43So when you are granted a new day, the rhetorical question that I have to ask each and every one of you out there is, what baggage are you going to be carrying into your new day?
05:57Because baggage is when you know that you have some issues, you know that you have some drama, you know that you're carrying some heavy weight, some heavy load, like you know, like yeah, like you understand and you know.
06:13But you don't have to carry it in.
06:17You don't have to carry the heavy load.
06:19You can start to release, you can start to let go and let God and let him handle all of the baggage, all of the heavy weight, all of the heavy load.
06:29You don't have to.
06:30So in this new year, this new journey, new life, new love, new situation, whatever the case may be, are you carrying any baggage?
06:46Because as I reflect and I look back after all of the that I've been through, what I know that I'm carrying such a lighter load today than what I used to in the past.
07:04I used to try to be this superhero, carrying every single situation, every issue, not only mine's but yours, always trying to lift up and help and encourage people who don't even want to help themselves.
07:23Always trying to teach and I was going to say train, but that's not a good word.
07:31Typically training is in a workplace.
07:32I'm so used to training people, but always trying to uplift somebody who does not want to be, does not want anything good for themselves.
07:42They're complacent, their status quo, they're okay with where they're at.
07:45And then here comes the old version of me who always wanted to pick somebody up and show them what good is, show them that they could be better.
07:58There's something to be said.
07:59And I don't have the right scripture, so I'm not even going to take it there.
08:06But when you know that you have something going for yourself.
08:10When you know that God has blessed you with something.
08:17There are certain groups, people, folk that we should not be interacting with.
08:24And when we try to help and uplift the people that we are forbidden to interact with.
08:35We can cause some issues for ourselves.
08:40Causes us to take on extra stress, carry extra bags.
08:45See, we are not responsible for regulating anybody else's nervous system.
08:52So the question that I had to ask myself, why would you want to try to fix and clean up and shape and mold somebody else when God has given you enough work?
09:05And you got enough on your plate managing your own nervous system, focusing on that self-control, focusing on discipline.
09:15Who do you think you are?
09:16See, I think you guys, sometimes you have to get with yourself.
09:19Who do you think you are to try to be able to do God's work and manage somebody else's nervous system?
09:27And when you have a full-time job managing your own, get it together.
09:34Don't carry that baggage.
09:36Don't carry nobody else's baggage.
09:37First of all, you got to focus on enlightening your load, making sure that your baggage is in line so that you can catch that train.
09:44You can catch that bus.
09:46You can do what you need to do.
09:47And you ain't held down by no extra weight.
09:52Don't take on nobody else's burden.
09:55Don't carry nobody else's load.
09:58And most certainly, lighten yours.
10:01Song of the Day, Baggage, Mary J. Blige, 2005, The Breakthrough Album.
10:08So tonight, since this is Transformational Tuesday, I want to focus on the hidden financial cost of neglecting your physical health.
10:20See, when it comes to debt-free living, there are so many different ways that we can look at it.
10:26And I've broken this down through Black Diamond Consultations into four pillars.
10:32We have the spiritual pillar when it comes to debt-free living.
10:36We have the mental pillar.
10:37We have the physical, which we're going to speak about tonight, and then the financial.
10:45See, it's not always about the money.
10:47It's the actions.
10:50It's the thought processes.
10:52There are a lot of things that can affect our financial wellness.
11:04And tonight, we're going to talk about the hidden financial cost of neglecting your physical health.
11:13Now, tonight, we're going to take it to Ohio.
11:14How mystical is it that we are in Ohio tonight?
11:20Because I've been meeting so many people from all over.
11:26And I was just speaking to somebody from Ohio, and we're talking about different restaurants and things like that.
11:31And, of course, here we go.
11:32You know, food.
11:34One of the, you know, one of the main topics that I love to talk about because I like to eat.
11:39So, I'm just keeping it real.
11:42But tonight, we're going to help out Mr. Raymond from Dayton, Ohio.
11:48I've been to Sandusky, Ohio.
11:50I'm not sure if Dayton is anywhere close to Sandusky, but that's the only part of Ohio that I know.
11:58Not that I know, but that I've been to.
12:00I know Cleveland is next to Sandusky.
12:03So, Raymond says, Laren, I didn't think my body had anything to do with my money.
12:09I work long hours.
12:16Mostly sitting.
12:18I grab food when I can.
12:20Fast food.
12:22Gas station snacks.
12:24Energy drinks to keep me moving.
12:26By the time I get home, I'm exhausted and stiff.
12:30Exercise feels like another job I don't have time for.
12:34Last year, my doctor told me my blood pressure was high.
12:37This year, it's worse.
12:38Now, I'm on medication, co-pays, prescriptions, follow-up visits.
12:43I looked at my bank statement last month and realized how much I spent reacting instead of preventing.
12:50Medical bills.
12:52Convenience.
12:53Food.
12:54Pain relief.
12:55All of it adds up quietly.
12:57I tell myself, I'll get it together once things slow down, but things never slow down.
13:03The truth is, I don't take care of my body because I don't feel worth the effort most of the days.
13:11That's hard to admit as a grown man.
13:13I show it for everyone else.
13:15I just don't show it for myself.
13:18Now, my debt includes the cost of ignoring warning signs I felt years ago.
13:23I want to live longer.
13:24I want to feel better.
13:26But I also don't want to keep paying for the damage I could have addressed earlier.
13:30How do you rebuild discipline when neglect has been your normal?
13:38Well, Raymond, we're going to go ahead and take it to the top.
13:43And I'm going to do my best to give you what I can give you.
13:49In this, please know that I am not a financial advisor.
13:55I am not a financial planner.
13:57I am a financial coach.
13:59And I basically focus on debt-free living through four different pillars.
14:06Spiritual, mental, physical, and financial wellness.
14:10I truly believe that that is the path that will get you on the right track for financial wellness.
14:18Ultimate debt-free living.
14:21To be debt-free, unplugged, from the matrix.
14:28I truly believe that that is the step process.
14:32Focus on your spiritual first.
14:34And after you focus on the spiritual, you understand and you know who you are.
14:39Then you move to the mental.
14:40And you focus on reprogramming your brain, your mental, from all the things and the nonsense that you have been programmed since you were a child.
14:52Relationship issues.
14:54All types of stuff.
14:57Whoever you, and friendships, whoever you interact with, you get programmed by the people who are closest to you.
15:04The people who you've looked up to.
15:08After that, now we're going to get to where we're going to speak about tonight, the physical.
15:12Once you get, well, spiritually, mentally, as you are entering into the physical realm, when you're aligned spiritually and mentally, you'll realize what you are doing in the physical.
15:26And that's where the change comes in.
15:29You'll start to say, up, I see this red flag.
15:32Up, I understand this.
15:33Let me pump the brakes.
15:33Let me do something different because I understand and know who I am today.
15:37And this is not what we do.
15:43Those three pillars, spiritual, mental, physical, will ultimately catapult you in the financial realm.
15:51Again, this is my opinion.
15:54This is what I teach through Black Diamond Consultations.
15:57I am not telling anybody what to do.
16:00I am not an expert.
16:02I just speak from real life experiences.
16:06So now, Mr. Raymond says,
16:10I don't think my body had anything to do with my money.
16:15I didn't think my body had anything to do with my money,
16:18which I see through this letter that you're understanding that it does.
16:24Because if you're spending your money on food,
16:32this could be a reason why some people are overweight.
16:36Because they eat a lot.
16:40So with that scenario, I'm not saying that this is the case with you.
16:45But your body does have something to do with your money because people who do too much eating
16:54and they don't know how to push away from the table,
16:57their bank accounts most likely most of the time is going to look different
17:01versus somebody who does.
17:03Understand this.
17:05Now, you work long hours.
17:06I'm going to stop right here.
17:08Actually, I'm going to continue.
17:10You work long hours mostly sitting.
17:11Okay, so you work long hours, which is never a good thing.
17:16I know some people think that that's a great thing.
17:21But working yourself around the clock,
17:24you're basically working yourself into the ground.
17:29People who work late night, overnight shifts,
17:32they call it the graveyard shift.
17:34They call it a graveyard shift for a reason.
17:36Because that's exactly where you'll be headed to if you think you're going to do that for a long time,
17:41a long time, long term,
17:43and be able to sustain that in your older age.
17:47As you get older,
17:52ideally,
17:55it's best if you work less.
17:57You need to stay active,
17:58but as far as working yourself down
18:00with these high-pressure jobs
18:03and things like that as you are older,
18:06it doesn't work.
18:09Mostly sitting when you're not active.
18:11I don't care whether you're working or not working.
18:13You have to be active throughout the day.
18:15Sitting is not going to get you anywhere.
18:19I mean, it's going to get you somewhere,
18:21but it's not going to get you where you want to be.
18:25You grab food when you can.
18:27Keyword, food, when you can.
18:29So you don't have like a set routine or regimen.
18:33That could be a problem.
18:36First of all,
18:37eating excessively and all the time
18:39and thinking you need to snack
18:40and you need to do all of these things again.
18:42Only thing I can say is just do your own due diligence,
18:44do your own research
18:45because I know people are going to feel
18:47a certain way about this,
18:48but a lot of people think that,
18:50oh, you got to breakfast
18:51is the most important meal of the day
18:54and you got to eat
18:55and you got to do this
18:56and you got to do that.
18:57Sometimes we need to just stop eating
18:59for a little bit
19:00and let our systems reset.
19:06That's a whole nother story,
19:07which we'll get into another time,
19:09but get yourself on some sort of system
19:14and it's okay if you miss a meal.
19:21This is just coming from me.
19:23Now, I know if you got health concerns
19:25and medical things
19:26and different ailments
19:29that that might,
19:30you're going to need to consult with your doctor.
19:33You're going to need to do your own research,
19:34but in some cases,
19:35I'm just speaking for the majority,
19:40the larger group of people
19:42who don't have any current issues.
19:47Sometimes you probably will benefit
19:49from backing up a little bit.
19:53Fast food, right there,
19:55that's an issue.
20:00Wait, come on now.
20:01A lot of people know that fast food
20:03is not good for you
20:04and they put stuff
20:06and there's chemicals in there
20:07to get you addicted to it
20:09and of course it tastes better
20:10than what you could possibly do at home.
20:16Although, on the flip side,
20:18depending on how you dice that thing up
20:20and slice that up,
20:22a good home-cooked meal
20:23is much better than fast food,
20:25but if you continuously consume fast food,
20:27it's going to alter your taste buds
20:29because there are chemicals
20:31and there are things in the fast food
20:33that is going to
20:34get you all tricked up
20:36and messed up
20:37into thinking that
20:38that tastes better
20:39than what a good home-cooked meal does.
20:41Now, if you've got somebody
20:43who that's a whole other situation.
20:45Gas station snacks,
20:46how much is that costing you?
20:50Places like gas stations,
20:52you know, your typical,
20:54I'm not going to name these places,
20:56but you see them,
20:57I'm not going to name it,
21:00but it's chain gas stations.
21:03Just put it that way.
21:05Their chips and snacks
21:08and things like that
21:09are always marked up.
21:12Energy drinks to keep you moving,
21:14that's a problem.
21:15We already know
21:16that energy drinks are no good,
21:18riddled with sugar and caffeine
21:20and not good for the heart.
21:25And you get these spikes,
21:27you probably are revved up
21:29on caffeine throughout the day
21:31and then by the time you get home,
21:32you're exhausted
21:33and you don't feel like
21:34you want to do anything.
21:37So, again,
21:38I can't tell you what to do,
21:40but I used to drink
21:41the energy drinks before.
21:42I used to think that
21:43that was okay
21:43when I was in a retail world
21:44and, you know,
21:46all of these same things,
21:47working,
21:48working,
21:48working,
21:49working,
21:49taking all types of overtime,
21:52working around the clock.
21:53I'd go in from
21:53three o'clock in the morning
21:55and I wouldn't leave
21:55until 10 p.m.
21:59If you're young,
22:00do it while you're young,
22:01but trust and believe.
22:02I don't,
22:03I don't believe.
22:06Actually,
22:06I know better than that.
22:07I know better than
22:09to even try to attempt
22:10to do something like that today.
22:12You said last year
22:14your doctor told you
22:15that your blood pressure
22:16was high
22:17and then this year
22:18you said it's worse
22:19and now you're on medication
22:21and because of that
22:22you have co-pays,
22:23prescriptions,
22:23and follow-up visits.
22:27That's the problem.
22:31Now,
22:32if you have all of those things
22:33and you don't want to
22:34take the medicine
22:34and you want,
22:36you got to do
22:36something different.
22:38And again,
22:38that's the baggage
22:40that you might be carrying.
22:42I can't say that
22:43one way or the other
22:44because I'm not you
22:45and I'm not in that situation,
22:47but
22:47if you are told
22:50certain things
22:52and you ignore
22:52what the doctors say
22:54and
22:55let's just put it this way.
22:58Now that we are here
22:59and this is reality,
23:00I'm going to say this again.
23:03Now that we are here
23:04and this is reality,
23:05this is your world.
23:07If you know that
23:08this is the situation
23:09that you're in,
23:10the question
23:11that I have to ask you
23:12is what are you going
23:14to do different
23:15today versus
23:16what you did yesterday?
23:19If you know
23:19you can't eat certain foods
23:21because X, Y, and Z happens,
23:23are you going
23:26to just take the pills?
23:29Are you going to follow
23:30the doctor's order
23:31so you can continue
23:31to do the same thing
23:33and get the same results?
23:35That's the part
23:36that unfortunately
23:38sometimes I just
23:39don't get it.
23:40If you are told
23:41that you have
23:42X, Y, and Z ailment,
23:44if you are told
23:45that this is the situation
23:46that it is
23:46and it is due
23:48to your diet,
23:50it is due
23:51to lack of exercise,
23:52it is due
23:53to all of these things
23:54that I'm sure
23:55that you'll sit down
23:57and speak with your doctor,
23:58when you walk out
24:00and you have
24:01this information,
24:02the next day
24:03when you wake up,
24:05why,
24:06and this is not
24:07just for tonight,
24:08this is not just
24:09for Raymond
24:11because there are
24:12so many people,
24:13especially in the
24:14Black community,
24:15why do we continue
24:16to just do the same
24:17thing the next day?
24:20Why don't we take
24:21our health serious?
24:28Let's repeat this.
24:32Why don't we take
24:33our health serious?
24:35Black community.
24:39Let's take this serious.
24:41Why do we accept
24:41whatever the doctor says?
24:43Why do we accept
24:43whatever pills
24:44they give us?
24:46And then we continuously
24:47continue to
24:48eat the way we eat.
24:55I got to take
24:56my high blood pressure pills
24:57because I'm getting ready
24:58to eat this
25:00or I'm getting ready
25:01to do this
25:01or I'm getting ready
25:02to...
25:03But again,
25:04again,
25:05I don't know.
25:07I'm not saying that,
25:08you know,
25:09this is you,
25:10Raymond,
25:10but I'm just saying
25:11I understand
25:12and know
25:12where I come from.
25:16You look at your
25:17bank statements
25:18last month
25:18and you realize
25:19how much I spend
25:20reacting
25:20instead of preventing.
25:23That is a key point.
25:25Reaction
25:25versus prevention
25:26because
25:27you're going to pay
25:28money for these
25:29prescription pills
25:31and these
25:31doctor visits
25:32and this back and forth.
25:35How much money
25:36would you save
25:36if you just invested
25:38more money
25:39into your food?
25:41Eating better.
25:44Vitamins.
25:46Going to the
25:47health food store.
25:48Going to the
25:48farmer's market.
25:49Getting fresh food
25:50versus going to
25:51fast food.
25:52And this is a
25:57situation
25:58that happens.
26:02And this is why
26:03I say you got to
26:03focus on the
26:04spiritual
26:04and you have to
26:06focus on that
26:07mental.
26:08And by focusing
26:10on the spiritual
26:10and the mental,
26:11it is going to
26:12ultimately catapult
26:13you into doing
26:15things differently
26:15in the physical
26:16realm.
26:17Because if you
26:18don't take care
26:20of your mental
26:21health
26:23when it comes
26:24to debt-free
26:25living,
26:26you are not
26:27going to show
26:28up in the
26:28physical realm
26:29properly.
26:30You're still
26:30going to be
26:31making mistakes.
26:33Not going to,
26:33well,
26:35yeah,
26:35let's just,
26:36again,
26:36my opinion,
26:37I'm not sitting
26:38here trying to
26:39say anything,
26:40but you'll be
26:40making poor
26:41decisions when it
26:42comes into the
26:42physical realm.
26:44If your mental
26:45isn't on lock,
26:47you haven't done
26:49your work when it
26:49comes to how
26:50you think and
26:51feel about
26:52money,
26:52you'll go in
26:53and thinking
26:54that something
26:55is more expensive
26:56than it really
26:56is and not
26:57look at the
26:57long-term
26:58effects that it
26:59is going to
26:59have on you
27:01and your
27:01body.
27:04You will
27:05walk into
27:07looking at
27:10such things
27:11from a
27:12scarcity
27:12mindset versus
27:14an abundance
27:15mindset.
27:16And you'll
27:16make scarcity
27:18decisions and
27:19not take care
27:20of your
27:20health because
27:21you'll be
27:22looking at
27:22price tags
27:23and you'll
27:25look at it
27:26from the
27:26wrong lens.
27:29And by you
27:29looking at it
27:30from the
27:30wrong lens,
27:31you'll make
27:31poor decisions
27:32and you'll
27:33neglect your
27:34health and
27:34then this is
27:35what happens.
27:36And then it's
27:36a trick because
27:38you end up
27:39paying more
27:39in the long
27:41run versus
27:42what it would
27:42have taken
27:43for you to
27:44spend a few
27:45more dollars
27:46on the
27:47vitamins,
27:48a few more
27:49moments in
27:51the gym.
27:53It is due
27:54to coming
27:57from a
27:58scarcity
27:58mindset,
28:00looking at
28:02price tags,
28:03not saying that
28:04you shouldn't
28:04look at price
28:05tags, but
28:06looking at it
28:06from the
28:07wrong lens,
28:08not looking
28:09at the end
28:10results,
28:11not having
28:14enough mental
28:15fortitude to
28:16know better
28:17and to do
28:19better.
28:25I was
28:26listening to
28:29Steve Harvey
28:30years ago,
28:32years ago,
28:33and he was
28:34saying how
28:36he came
28:36across someone
28:37who took
28:39their health
28:40very serious
28:41and the
28:41amount of
28:42vitamins and
28:43this and
28:44that and
28:45that amount
28:46of money
28:46that it
28:47cost for
28:48the specific
28:49individual to
28:51start their
28:51day.
28:52They spent a
28:53significant amount.
28:54They dropped
28:55several hundred
28:57dollars on
28:59their monthly
28:59routine when it
29:00came to what
29:02they needed
29:02to live.
29:05and Steve
29:09at one
29:09point was
29:10saying,
29:12wow, this
29:12is a lot
29:13of money.
29:14And then the
29:14guy had to
29:15break it down
29:15and say,
29:16okay, you
29:17think that
29:17this is a
29:18lot of
29:18money?
29:19Add up.
29:21You can't
29:22afford to
29:23not do
29:23this because
29:24get your
29:25calculator and
29:26add up what
29:26it's going to
29:27cost you if
29:27you don't do
29:28this.
29:29See, this is a
29:30lot of times
29:31when it comes
29:31to debt-free
29:32living.
29:33People may
29:33think that
29:34financial
29:36coaching or
29:37financial
29:38planner or
29:39advisors or
29:41even like
29:42we're speaking
29:43about what
29:44it takes to
29:45fuel your
29:46body from
29:48a healthy
29:48way, that
29:49that might
29:49be expensive.
29:52The question
29:53that I submit
29:54to you, if
29:55you're out
29:55there thinking
29:56like that,
29:56probably thinking
29:57from a scarcity
29:58mindset, how
30:01much is it
30:01costing you when
30:02you don't think
30:03this way?
30:04When you
30:04don't engage,
30:07interact,
30:08seek, find,
30:10how much is
30:11it going to
30:11cost you in
30:11the long
30:12run?
30:19Now, Mr.
30:20Raymond says,
30:21I tell myself
30:22I'll get it
30:22together once
30:23things slow
30:23down, but
30:24things never
30:24slow down.
30:27That's life.
30:27that's why
30:31you can't
30:31say, oh, I'll
30:32just push
30:33it off and
30:34start tomorrow
30:35and then
30:36tomorrow comes
30:37and I'll
30:38just do it
30:39next week
30:40or I'll
30:41do it when
30:42things get
30:42better.
30:44You have to
30:45take action
30:45today.
30:46the biggest
30:50person and
30:52the biggest
30:53challenge in
30:54life is
30:56defeating
30:56yourself.
30:58Things like
30:59that, I tell
30:59myself I'll
31:00get it together
31:00once things
31:01slow down, but
31:01things never
31:02slow down.
31:04Defeating
31:04yourself is the
31:05biggest challenge
31:06that you'll
31:06have.
31:07Like I said
31:08earlier, you
31:09don't have
31:10time to
31:13be focusing
31:14on somebody
31:16else's nervous
31:17system.
31:18It's not
31:18your job.
31:19You have a
31:19full-time job
31:20managing your
31:20own, and I'll
31:21say that again.
31:22You do not
31:24have enough
31:25time, energy,
31:26or resources
31:28to be managing
31:30somebody else's
31:31nervous system
31:31when God has
31:32given you enough
31:33work in
31:33managing your
31:34own.
31:36Complacency,
31:38procrastination,
31:39being your
31:41own worst
31:41enemy, that
31:44is your job
31:44to defeat
31:46self.
31:49Defeat all
31:50of those
31:50things, conquer
31:51all of those
31:52things that I
31:52spoke about
31:53because it's
31:54in all of
31:55us.
32:01Now you
32:02say the
32:02truth is I
32:03don't take
32:03care of my
32:04body because
32:04I don't feel
32:05worth the
32:05effort most
32:06of the days.
32:07Again, think
32:09about the
32:09things that
32:10you are
32:10doing.
32:11That fast
32:12food is
32:13going to
32:13make you
32:13want to
32:13feel sluggish.
32:15It's going
32:15to make you
32:15not want to
32:16do anything.
32:17And I
32:18can't tell
32:19you how
32:20my life
32:22changed once
32:24I decided to
32:25back away from
32:25a lot of the
32:26fast food.
32:26Not saying
32:27that I don't
32:27eat it today,
32:28but it
32:29definitely is
32:29not at the
32:30capacity that
32:30it used to
32:31be before
32:312020.
32:33Because I
32:34was in
32:34somebody's
32:35drive-thru for
32:36breakfast, lunch,
32:37and dinner,
32:37and sometimes a
32:38snack.
32:39Not to
32:40mention how
32:40much money
32:41it was
32:41costing.
32:48And not
32:49to mention
32:49how I
32:51felt after
32:51I ate.
32:54I felt
32:54like garbage.
32:56I felt
32:56disgusting most
32:59of the days.
33:00Like, I'm just
33:00keeping it real.
33:01I would look at
33:01myself and be
33:02like, ugh,
33:03like, what did I
33:04just do?
33:05Why?
33:06Did I really
33:07need to eat
33:07like that?
33:10And then
33:11don't get
33:11yourself wrapped
33:12up and
33:12trapped up
33:13with somebody
33:13who has
33:14just a
33:15equal bad
33:18habit as
33:18you.
33:19Because then
33:19it's even
33:20harder to
33:20get out of
33:21that cycle.
33:22This is why
33:22you have to
33:23be careful
33:23with the
33:23people that
33:24you surround
33:24yourself with.
33:25Because you
33:26are only an
33:26average of the
33:27five closest
33:28people that
33:28you surround
33:29yourself with.
33:31That's why
33:32it's important.
33:33Les Brown
33:34says,
33:37OQP,
33:39only quality
33:40people.
33:42When you're
33:42on this
33:43debt-free
33:43living journey,
33:44you have to
33:44be very
33:45careful about
33:46the people
33:46that you
33:46surround
33:47yourself with
33:47and you
33:47have to be
33:48very careful
33:49about sharing
33:50your goals
33:50and your
33:51dreams and
33:51where you're
33:52going.
33:52Because if
33:53people are
33:53not aligned
33:54and they're
33:55not on the
33:55same page
33:56as you,
33:57they're going
33:57to think
33:58that you're
33:58weird.
33:59They're going
33:59to think
33:59that you're
33:59crazy.
34:00They're
34:01going to
34:01dismiss
34:02every single
34:03step that
34:04you take
34:04and have
34:05you second
34:05guessing and
34:06questioning
34:06yourself as
34:07if you're
34:07doing something
34:08wrong.
34:12Now,
34:13here we
34:13are,
34:14Mr.
34:14Raymond,
34:14and you
34:14said your
34:15debt includes
34:15the cost of
34:16ignoring warning
34:17signs that
34:18you felt years
34:19ago, that
34:19the doctors
34:20warned you
34:20about years
34:21ago.
34:24Now,
34:25you said you
34:25want to live
34:26longer, you
34:26want to feel
34:27better, but
34:29you also don't
34:29want to keep
34:30paying for
34:30damages you
34:31could have
34:31addressed earlier.
34:32Now, I
34:33don't know
34:34the full
34:34situation, I
34:35only know
34:36this is from
34:37a surface
34:37level, but
34:38one thing
34:39that I do
34:39know is
34:40that some
34:40things can
34:41be reversed.
34:45It's like
34:45if you know
34:46that your
34:48car needs
34:51repair, you
34:53can either
34:53do one or
34:54two things,
34:55you can
34:55continue to
34:56drive it and
34:57make it
34:58worse, or
34:59you can
34:59stop driving
35:00it and
35:00have somebody
35:01check it
35:01out and
35:02get it
35:03fixed.
35:05What's
35:05going to
35:05cost more?
35:07You
35:07stopping and
35:08pulling over
35:08and getting
35:09it towed or
35:09getting it to
35:10where it needs
35:10to get to
35:11and having
35:12somebody take
35:12a look at
35:13it, or you
35:14continuously
35:15driving it,
35:16creating more
35:16damage.
35:17What's going
35:17to cost more?
35:18Like, you
35:19understand and
35:19know that, yes,
35:20you're going to
35:20have to pay.
35:21We're all
35:21going to have
35:22to pay one
35:22way or the
35:23other because
35:23nothing in
35:24life is free.
35:25You're going
35:25to pay from
35:26a spiritual
35:26realm, mental,
35:28physical, financially,
35:29emotionally.
35:30You're going to
35:30have to pay one
35:31type of way in
35:32this world because
35:32there ain't
35:32nothing in this
35:33world for free.
35:36But the
35:36question is, how
35:37much are you
35:38going to pay?
35:40If you know
35:41that something is
35:42wrong from the
35:43physical aspect,
35:44your health,
35:46are you going
35:47to put the
35:48brakes on and
35:49do something a
35:50little bit
35:50different and
35:51work on that
35:52repair?
35:52Or are you
35:53going to
35:53continue with
35:54the same bad
35:55habits that
35:57got you to
35:57where you are
35:58here today?
36:01And just put a
36:02little band-aid
36:03over it because
36:04whatever doctor,
36:05whatever situation
36:08may be that this
36:09cures this, this
36:10cures that.
36:13I say, again,
36:17I can't give
36:19anybody any
36:19type of advice.
36:20But when you
36:22start to look at
36:23the natural
36:23things that
36:24God has given
36:25us on this
36:30earth, the
36:32trees, the
36:33fruits, the
36:34berries, the
36:34seeds, the
36:35nuts, all of
36:36these things that
36:39God said that we
36:39can eat freely from
36:41when he put man
36:42in a garden.
36:47Think about all
36:48of those great
36:48things that he
36:52allowed us to.
36:54It's here for
36:55us.
36:56The health
36:56benefits that
36:58are in fruits,
37:00vegetables, herbs,
37:03the spices.
37:11Yes, it might
37:11take more time to
37:13do research and
37:14to figure some of
37:14these things out.
37:15yes, you might
37:17need to do some
37:18extra prep in
37:20your home.
37:23You can either
37:24do that or you
37:25can just take the
37:26easy route out and
37:27continue to eat the
37:28fast food, continue
37:29to go and get the
37:32convenience store
37:33snacks, continue
37:35to not get the
37:37rest that you
37:38need, continue to
37:38work yourself into
37:40the ground, continue
37:41to go along with
37:43the plan and
37:44accept whatever
37:45someone else says
37:46about you,
37:47neglecting what
37:48God said about
37:49you, and
37:53continue to get
37:53what you're going
37:54to get.
37:54But I do know
37:55what the definition
37:57of insanity is.
38:00I've learned that
38:01because I used to
38:03be insane, but I'm
38:05so thankful that I've
38:06been delivered because
38:07as I have said
38:09before, I
38:10understand and
38:11know that God
38:12has not given us a
38:13spirit of fear, but
38:15of power and of
38:15love and of a
38:16sound mind.
38:19Being insane is
38:21getting up each
38:22and every day,
38:23doing the same
38:25thing over and
38:26over and over
38:26again and
38:27expecting different
38:28results.
38:30And I repeat that
38:31again because
38:32sometimes I have to
38:32make sure that I
38:34understand and I
38:35don't forget where
38:36I come from.
38:38But getting up each
38:39and every day,
38:40doing the same
38:41thing over and
38:42over again and
38:43expecting different
38:44results.
38:45And another thing
38:46that I've
38:46understand and
38:47learned during this
38:48process, when
38:52people show you
38:53who they are,
38:54believe them the
38:55first time.
38:56Not the second,
38:57third, fourth,
38:58fifth, sixth, but
39:00the first time.
39:01And this ties into
39:02insanity because if
39:04you are wrapped up
39:06and trapped up into
39:07a situation, but
39:08yet each and
39:09every day you
39:11get up expecting
39:12the person to
39:16be this different
39:16person when
39:19they've already
39:19done showed you
39:20from day one who
39:21they are, that's
39:25insane.
39:27So there's a lot
39:30going on here from
39:31the physical realm
39:33as far as how
39:34you're showing
39:35up with money,
39:36how you're
39:36showing up and
39:37spending your
39:38money and taking
39:39your health for
39:41granted.
39:42Because see, when
39:43you focus on the
39:44spiritual realm and
39:45you understand and
39:46you know who you
39:47are, you know
39:48whose you are, you
39:50focus on that
39:51mental aspect, you
39:53go back to
39:54wherever, how far
39:56back you have to
39:57go back to heal
39:58from the trauma,
40:00to break away from
40:02the chains that
40:05have held you
40:05down for years,
40:08unlearn some
40:09of the most
40:12ridiculous things
40:14that you have
40:15been learned,
40:17excuse me, that
40:17you have been
40:18programmed to
40:20accept and
40:21understand during
40:25your childhood.
40:25Because this is
40:26where most of
40:27these things happen.
40:27You got to go
40:28back and you got
40:28to look at your
40:29childhood.
40:29childhood, what
40:31did you grow up
40:32with?
40:32What did you
40:33experience?
40:35Know that you
40:35can unfollow, know
40:36you can unsubscribe,
40:38know you can back
40:39away from all of
40:40those things that
40:42your ancestors,
40:43whether it's your
40:44great-great
40:45grandmother,
40:47grandmother,
40:49father,
40:52auntie, uncle,
40:53I don't care who
40:54it is.
40:55So what?
40:56You do not have
40:57to sign up for
40:58that plan anymore.
40:59or you can
41:02just look at
41:03them.
41:04All I have to
41:04say is just
41:05look at your
41:06family and
41:08whatever they
41:09have done and
41:09whatever they
41:10continue to do,
41:11you can accept
41:13it and do
41:13nothing.
41:14You can sit
41:15here and accept
41:16it and do
41:16absolutely nothing
41:17different and
41:19you will
41:19subconsciously
41:20continue to do
41:23everything that
41:24they do and
41:25you'll get
41:25everything that
41:26they get.
41:26it takes
41:27a special
41:28individual to
41:28say absolutely
41:29not, I'm
41:29going to do
41:30something
41:30different.
41:32You focus on
41:33changing that
41:34mental,
41:35you'll see a
41:40difference in a
41:40physical realm
41:41because it
41:42starts in the
41:43spiritual first.
41:44You will see a
41:45difference.
41:46again, I'm
41:50not an
41:50expert.
41:52This is just a
41:53path and a
41:54journey that I'm
41:56on.
41:57These are some of
41:58the steps that I've
41:59taken to clean
42:01things up in my

43:21things in

43:24Lots of
43:25free resources
43:26on
43:27laryngaines.com
43:28If you want
43:30to learn more
43:30about debt
43:31free living,
43:32maybe something
43:33has sparked
43:34something in
43:34you tonight,
43:35especially for
43:36the new people
43:37tuning in.
43:38And if this
43:38is something
43:39that you're
43:39interested in,
43:41check me
43:44out.
43:44this is a
43:47way of
43:47life.
43:47I have to
43:48say this
43:48is truly a
43:49way of
43:49life.
43:50And what
43:51I had to
43:52learn coming
43:53out of
43:532025 and
43:57coming into
43:5826, I've
43:59learned that
43:59you can't
44:00take everybody
44:01with you.
44:02Not
44:03everybody's
44:03going to be
44:04able to go
44:04on this
44:05journey.
44:05God has
44:06only given
44:07a few
44:08select people
44:09the eyes
44:10to be able
44:11to see
44:11and the
44:13ears to be
44:13able to
44:14hear as
44:14well.
44:17And
44:18if a
44:19man be
44:19ignorant,
44:20let him
44:20be ignorant.
44:21That's what
44:22I've learned.
44:22If a
44:22man be
44:23ignorant,
44:24let him
44:25be ignorant.
44:26It is
44:26not my
44:28job to
44:28go back
44:29and forth
44:29trying to
44:30pull somebody
44:31up,
44:32trying to
44:33help somebody
44:33up,
44:34especially
44:35if they
44:35don't want
44:35to help
44:36themselves.
44:36I have
44:36done that
44:37majority
44:37of my
44:38life and
44:38it has
44:39caused so
44:39much
44:39hell,
44:40drama,
44:42trauma,
44:42and I'm
44:43not doing
44:43it today.
44:45I
44:46experienced
44:46pure hell
44:47on earth
44:47the minute
44:48that I
44:48decide to
44:49step out
44:50of my
44:50heaven and
44:52step into
44:52somebody else's
44:53hell and
44:54try to pull
44:54them up to
44:55where I'm
44:55at.
44:56Absolutely
44:56not.
44:58I'll be
44:58good right
44:59where I'm
44:59at here
44:59today.
45:00It's not
45:01for everybody
45:01to see,
45:02but for
45:03those of
45:03you who
45:04want to
45:06see it,
45:07maybe you
45:07can't see
45:09it now,
45:09but ask
45:10and you
45:11shall
45:11receive.
45:13Knock and
45:13doors will
45:14be open.
45:15For those
45:15of you who
45:16are seeking,
45:18check me
45:20out,
45:20laryngaines.com.
45:24Burning
45:24questions for
45:26reflections.
45:26Again,
45:27if you want
45:28to chime
45:28in on
45:29tonight's
45:29episode,
45:30let me
45:30know how
45:30you feel
45:31about the
45:31assignment.
45:32as we
45:33helped
45:33out
45:33Mr.
45:33Raymond,
45:34let me
45:34know how
45:34you feel
45:35about the
45:35burning
45:35questions
45:36tonight.
45:37Let me
45:37know how
45:38you feel
45:38about
45:38this
45:40six
45:40vitality
45:41all
45:42around.
45:42Again,
45:43you can
45:43text me
45:44609-200-1098.
45:48Burning
45:48questions.
45:49I want
45:50to leave
45:50you with
45:51this for
45:52you to
45:53think about.
45:55What is
45:56costing you
45:56financially
45:57and personally
45:57to delay
46:00caring for
46:00your body
46:02you depend
46:04on every
46:04day?
46:04Let me
46:05back that
46:06thing up
46:07a bit.
46:10What is
46:11it costing
46:11you financially
46:12and personally
46:13when you
46:15delay
46:15caring for
46:17your body,
46:18the body
46:19that you
46:19depend on
46:20every single
46:20day?
46:21What is
46:22it costing
46:23you?
46:24Financially
46:25and personally
46:26when you
46:27delay
46:27caring for
46:28your body,
46:29that same
46:30body that
46:31you depend
46:32on every
46:32single day
46:33because
46:34health is
46:37wealth.
46:38If you
46:39don't have
46:39health,
46:40you can't
46:41get that
46:41wealth.
46:43Health is
46:43wealth.
46:45And that's
46:46why spending
46:46that extra
46:47few dollars
46:47for that
46:48salad.
46:50And again,
46:51listen,
46:51I know
46:52the burgers,
46:53the fries,
46:54all of that
46:54stuff sounds
46:55good.
46:58I'm a
46:58pescatarian
46:59and, you
47:00know, I
47:01get so many
47:01options as
47:02well.
47:03And there
47:04are times
47:05where I
47:05could back
47:06up a little
47:06bit and
47:06stop with
47:07the fries.
47:08You either
47:09want this
47:09or you
47:09want the
47:10greens or
47:11you want
47:11the fries.
47:12And I
47:13have to
47:13get with
47:14myself
47:15sometimes and
47:15say,
47:16you know
47:16what,
47:16Laren?
47:17Now, you
47:18know, you
47:18could have
47:18got the
47:18healthier
47:19option.
47:21You know,
47:21you could
47:22have.
47:23So it's
47:23just, again,
47:25like I said
47:26before,
47:27everything starts
47:28with self.
47:29You don't
47:30need to focus
47:31on anybody
47:32else's nervous
47:32system.
47:33That is not,
47:35your job is
47:35to focus on
47:36yours.
47:37You have a,
47:39you got a
47:40full plate.
47:40You got enough
47:41on your plate
47:41focusing on
47:42your own
47:42nervous system.
47:44There are
47:45going to be
47:45times where
47:46distractions show
47:48up.
47:48There are going
47:49to be times
47:49where, you
47:50know, going
47:51to this
47:52restaurant is
47:53a little bit
47:53easier than,
47:54you know,
47:55sticking to
47:55the plan
47:56and doing
47:57what we
47:58normally do
47:58to make
47:59sure we're
48:00okay.
48:01It's going
48:02to be so
48:02much easier
48:05and tempting
48:05sometimes for
48:06you to stay
48:07up late past
48:08your bedtime
48:09versus getting
48:10the rest
48:10that you need
48:11to take care
48:12of yourself
48:13and to recharge
48:14and reset
48:14and refuel
48:15your body.
48:15this is
48:20why
48:20having that
48:22discipline,
48:23having that
48:24focus
48:24is crucial
48:26and again,
48:28I have to
48:29make sure
48:29that I
48:29practice
48:30what I
48:30preach.
48:32I have to
48:33make sure
48:33I can't
48:35sit here
48:36and act
48:37like I
48:37don't go
48:38through some
48:38of these
48:38same things
48:39and some
48:40of these
48:40same
48:40scenarios.
48:41But once
48:44you know
48:45better,
48:45you do
48:45better.
48:49Once you
48:49know better,
48:50you do
48:50better.
48:51And you
48:52have to
48:53focus on
48:54getting with
48:54self because
48:56where we
48:58are here
48:58today has
48:59everything to
49:00do with
49:00self.
49:01It has
49:01nothing to
49:02do with
49:02anybody
49:02else.
49:03We put
49:03ourselves
49:04exactly
49:04where we
49:05are here
49:05today based
49:06on how
49:07we think,
49:08based on
49:09the words
49:09that come
49:10out of our
49:10mouths,
49:11the people
49:13that we
49:13decide to
49:14hang around
49:15and attach
49:15ourselves to.
49:18In any
49:19case, let
49:21me go ahead
49:21and wrap
49:23things up
49:23here so we
49:24can get
49:24out of
49:24here.
49:25But again,
49:26let me know
49:26how you feel
49:27about tonight's
49:27episode.
49:28I want to
49:28thank you so
49:29much.
49:30Remember,
49:31transformation
49:32isn't cosmetic.
49:34It is
49:34corrective.
49:35And prevention
49:36is always
49:37cheaper than
49:37repair.
49:38Think about
49:38the scenario
49:39that I spoke
49:39with the car.
49:40If you
49:41know that
49:41your check
49:41engine light
49:42comes on,
49:43there's
49:43something wrong
49:43with your
49:44car.
49:44The person
49:45who stops
49:46and pulls
49:46over and
49:47gets it
49:47checked out
49:47and gets
49:48it towed
49:49and stops
49:49driving it
49:50versus the
49:52person who
49:53continues to
49:54drive and
49:56continues to
49:56go through
49:57issues and
49:59they ride it
50:00and they ride
50:00it and they
50:01ride it until
50:01it breaks
50:02down.
50:03Okay, I'm
50:05out of here,
50:05y'all.
50:05Thank y'all so
50:06much.
50:07Catch me
50:08on the
50:09next episode
50:10Wine Down
50:11Wednesday.
50:11You're going
50:11to love it.
50:12You're absolutely
50:12going to love
50:13the episode
50:14of Wine
50:14Down
50:14Wednesday.
50:16Take care,
50:16y'all.
50:17Have a good
50:18night.
50:194, 3, 2, 1.
50:24And that's a
50:25wrap on today's
50:26episode of the
50:27411 podcast and
50:28reading between the
50:29wines, where
50:30growth is always
50:31on the menu and
50:32every pour reveals
50:33a little more
