00:00A scriptwriter is suing model-turned-actress Emilia Tripura Henderson for defamation after
00:06she allegedly belittled his work on social media.
00:10In his statement of claim, Hieroniza Idris, better known as Rihal Nuharis or Nuharis,
00:16Said Henderson uploaded an Instagram video on June 25, 2022 that allegedly lowered his
00:22reputation over the television series Sekali Lagi Cinta Kembali, which he wrote.
00:27Hieroniza Said Henderson criticized the character Aira as conflicting with her personal beliefs,
00:33adding that she was aware of the role after reading the script and claimed the video implied
00:38he endorsed oppression and violence against women.
00:42In her defense, Henderson said she made no reference to Hieroniza and in the alternative
00:47said her comments were true and therefore not defamatory.
00:51She said she only received the script consisting of several thick volumes on June 9, 2022 and
00:57did not have the opportunity to examine it fully.
01:01She also denied entering into a contract and said a planned meeting with the director to
01:05discuss the character was cancelled without explanation.
01:09Henderson added that she was given the impression she would be playing a strong female character
01:14in a woman-empowering role.
