00:00Big cook, little cook, welcome to our cafe. Big cook, little cook, want you to come and play.
00:17Meeting all the friends we cook for, sharing stories, trips and fun. Big cook, little cook, we'll cook for everyone.
00:30Oh, hello. Welcome to our cafe. The best cafe in the world. What's that noise?
00:48Hello everyone. Do you know what this is? It's an old rug.
00:53No Small, this isn't an old rug. Are you sure Ben? It looks like an old rug to me.
00:59No, little cook Small, this is a magic carpet. It's a magic flying carpet all the way from Persia, a country far, far away.
01:13And I'm going to fly on my magic carpet, just like you fly on your wooden spoon, little cook.
01:19Are you sure it's a magic carpet, Ben? You watch. Here we go.
01:24Go carpet, go carpet, whizz away. I wonder what we'll see today.
01:34Shall I see who the customer is Ben? Or do you want to fly to the hatch on your magic carpet?
01:39Oh, could you go, little cook? I think I need a bit more practice.
01:45I'm on my way! Woohoo!
01:47Woohoo!
01:59Who's our customer today Small?
02:03Oh, I'll give you a clue. He's young and handsome.
02:06Oh, like me then Small, young and handsome.
02:10And he has a magic lamp.
02:12Wow, a magic lamp. Oh, that's amazing. But I still don't know who it is. Give me another clue.
02:18He flew here all the way from Persia.
02:21Persia? Persia? That's where my magic carpet's from Small. Does he have a magic carpet too?
02:28Yes, and he flew here on it. Oh, I know. I know. It's Aladdin. Oh-ho! And he's come a very long way.
02:37We'll have to make him something extra special. But what can we cook for a boy with a magic carpet?
02:44I think it's time to look in my book.
02:46We need a story to help us cook.
02:58Let's take a look in Little Cook's book.
03:02Little Cook's Adventures in the Big World. Let me see.
03:06There was once a poor boy called Aladdin, who lived in Persia. One day, Aladdin saw the Princess of Persia and fell in love with her.
03:19He was so sad though, because she would never want to marry such a poor boy.
03:25But when Aladdin found a magic lamp, his luck began to change.
03:30Aladdin rubbed the lamp and a magic genie appeared to grant all his wishes.
03:35Fine food, fine clothes and jewels. Anything he wanted.
03:44Now he was rich. He married the princess and ordered the genie to build him a palace.
03:51But Aladdin's magic lamp belonged to a wicked magician, who ordered the genie to take the palace and the princess away.
03:58When Aladdin came home, his palace and his princess were gone, leaving only an old Persian carpet.
04:05He could manage without his riches, but he was sad without the princess who he loved.
04:11Little Cook Small had to help find the princess. But how would they get there?
04:16Small had an idea. He draped the Persian carpet over the wooden spoon and off they both flew until they found the palace.
04:26The prince was so happy to find the princess. The princess thought they had travelled on a magic carpet.
04:34Little did they know it was really Small's magic wooden spoon.
04:39Little Cook to the rescue once again.
04:42Little Cook.
04:43Little Cook.
04:44Little pointed one.
04:52Little Up beberapa.
04:53Little Isn't It That Was A Great Adventure?
04:55And a magic flying carpet? Oh, dear.
04:58Oh, I'm so excited about flying on my magic carpet, I can't think what to cook for Aladdin.
05:03Hmm. What do you think we should cook?
05:09Oh!
05:14I know! Big Cook's big cookery book!
05:18Of course, the big cookery book. There's recipes for everything in there.
05:22And where do we look for things to cook?
05:25In the book! In the book! In Big Cook's book!
05:30Here we are! Oh, I can't believe I didn't think of this myself! Magic carpet waffle!
05:35Wahey! Magic carpet waffle! The perfect recipe for Aladdin.
05:40Come on then, little cook. You read out the ingredients and I'll see if we've got them.
05:44OK, let's see. We're going to need strawberries.
05:47OK, over to the fridge. Here we are.
05:50Oh, yes. Lovely red strawberries. My favourite. Got them!
05:54Blackberries.
05:54In the fridge as well. Nice and fruity. Blackberries. Yep.
05:58A peach.
05:59Peach in the fruit bowl. Here we go. Got it small.
06:02Apricot jam.
06:03That's in the cupboard, definitely. Apricot jam. Yep.
06:07Some icing sugar.
06:08Icing sugar. Here we are. Got that small.
06:11And last but certainly not least, waffles.
06:15Oh, last but not least, waffles. Great.
06:18There we go.
06:20Everything we need for the recipe.
06:22Waffles are yummy, but I've always wondered how they're made.
06:26Well, why don't you whiz off and find out, little cook, and I'll get everything ready.
06:29That's a great idea. See you later.
06:32Woo-hoo!
06:33Hey, why don't you come along too?
06:37Whoosh!
06:41Go small, go small, whiz away!
06:44I wonder what he'll see today.
06:53There's a train!
06:55Choo-choo!
06:56Choo-choo!
06:56Choo-choo!
06:57Choo-choo!
06:58Choo-choo!
06:59Choo-choo!
07:01Choo-choo!
07:02Choo-choo!
07:09This is the right place.
07:11Maya and her daddy are going to make some waffles.
07:14First they need some flour.
07:18Then an egg.
07:27Two eggs?
07:28Now, Maya with some.
07:29Maya's whisking the eggs and Dad adds some milk.
07:45That's another ingredient, some melted butter.
07:58Now the mixture is poured into the mixing bowl with the flour.
08:08Maya mixes up the mixture, mixy mixy mixy!
08:19That's the waffle making machine.
08:25Pour it in, it's all lovely and gooey!
08:38The waffle's cooked!
08:47You have to wait for it to cool down before you eat it.
08:52Yummy!
08:53Maya's having syrup on her waffle.
08:58This is a special treat.
09:00Syrup is very sugary.
09:02Mmm!
09:03Delicious!
09:04Bye!
09:05Woohoo!
09:06Hey!
09:07Hey!
09:08Hey!
09:09Hey!
09:10Hey!
09:11I'm back!

09:14What are you doing, Ben?
09:15I'm flying on my magic carpet!
09:16Hey!
09:17Hey!
09:18Hey!
09:19Hey!
09:20Hey!
09:21Hey!

09:25Hey!
09:26Hey!
09:27What are you doing, Ben?
09:28What are you doing, Ben?
09:29I'm flying on my magic carpet!
09:30Hey!
09:31Hey!
09:32But Aladdin will be waiting for his magic carpet waffle.
09:35You're right, little cook.
09:37I almost forgot while I was flying on my own magic carpet.
09:40Come on then, let's go.
09:41We're all ready, so take a look.
09:43And we will show you how to cook.
09:49Jelly boats and pirates go, princess pea pies.
09:53Parent cakes and fruity smiles, and envelopes surprise.
09:57We love our cafe, and we love to cook.
10:00We have a fantastic recipe book.
10:06He is big cook, and he is small.
10:10Friends in our cafe, we cook for them all.
10:14When your tummy gets all rumbly, you're ready for a treat.
10:20You can make something delicious to eat.
10:23Have you cleaned the surfaces?
10:31Yes.
10:32Have you washed your hands?
10:33Yes.
10:34All clean and ready to cook.
10:37Do you remember the ingredients to magic carpet waffle?
10:40You do.
10:41There were strawberries.
10:43Four.
10:44Two chopped, two sliced.
10:46Blackberries.
10:47Four.
10:48Cut in half.
10:49A peach.
10:50One.
10:51Half chopped, the other half cut into thin slices.
10:54Apricot jam.
10:55Two tablespoons.
10:56Some icing sugar.
10:57Just a sprinkle.
10:58A little sprinkle of magic for a magic carpet waffle.
11:01And last but not least, a waffle.
11:04Just the one for Aladdin.
11:06Let's hope the genie's still in the lamp so he doesn't want one as well.
11:10Whoopee!
11:11Let's get started.
11:13The first thing we need to do is turn on the oven to 180 degrees Celsius, gas mark four.
11:19And that's a job for your grown-up helper to do because remember, the oven is hot, hot, hot.
11:25Now, I've also put the waffle onto an oven-proof baking tray.
11:29What's next, Ben?
11:30Well, this is the fun part, little cook.
11:33It's time to decorate the waffle to look like Aladdin's magic flying carpet.
11:37Can you remember what it looks like?
11:39Oh, yes, Ben.
11:41Huh?
11:42Oh, no, I can't, actually.
11:43Can you remember, Ben?
11:45Hmm.
11:45To be honest, well, I don't think I can either.
11:48But I can remember one thing.
11:50What's that?
11:50Aladdin's magic carpet looked very much like my magic carpet.
11:55Brilliant.
11:56I'll go and have a look.
11:58It has quite a dark and mysterious colour.
12:02Oh, right.
12:03In that case, we'll put the blackberries on.
12:05They're quite a dark colour.
12:15And it's got a red and orange pattern.
12:19Well, we've got red strawberries and orange peaches.
12:24So I'll use the fruit to decorate the squares of the waffle.
12:30Mmm.
12:31That's going to look just like a magic carpet.
12:34Ho, ho, ho.
12:36There we go.
12:38Does that look right, Small?
12:39Nearly.
12:40There's still something missing, though.
12:42I'll go and have a look.
12:46I'm not sure.
12:47Come and have a look, Ben.
12:49Oh, OK.
12:53Ah-ha!
12:55Tassels!
12:57Ho, ho, ho.
12:58We can put those on later.
12:59What's next, Ben?
13:01Right.
13:01We need to put the two tablespoons of apricot jam into a saucepan.
13:06Here's the spoon, Ben.
13:08Oh, thanks, Small.
13:09Hey, can I do the sticky, gooey, jammy, apricot-y bit, Ben?
13:15In a minute, Small.
13:16First, I need to melt the jam in a saucepan over a light heat.
13:22And remember, this is a job for your grown-up helper to do, because the jam will get hot, hot, hot.
13:34Sticky, gooey, jammy jam.
13:36When the jam's melted, get your grown-up helper to pour it into a jug.
13:44Like this.
13:48There we go.
13:50And next, here comes a sticky, gooey, jammy, apricot-y bit that I think you'll like, Small.
13:56Sticky, gooey, jammy, apricot-y!
13:59Nice one, Small.
14:03So now I'm going to pour the jam all over the fruit.
14:14There.
14:15Pour the jam is the new craze.
14:18Aladdin's waffle carpet will have a glaze.
14:22Small's right.
14:23The apricot jam glazes the fruit.
14:25That means makes it shiny.
14:28Pour the jam.
14:29Is the new craze.
14:31Aladdin's waffle carpet.
14:32We'll have a glaze.
14:33Whoa!
14:35Now the fruit's all glazed with the apricot jam, we can pop it into the oven for five minutes.
14:40So, oven gloves on.
14:44And over we go.
14:48Open the oven.
14:50And in it goes.
14:53And remember, that's a job for your grown-up helper to do, because the oven is hot, hot, hot.
14:59I'll set the timer for five minutes.
15:03Right, I think I'll have another practice on my magic flying carpet, whilst Aladdin's magic carpet waffle is cooking.
15:12Okay, let's go.
15:15Go carpet, go carpet, whizz away!
15:17I wonder what we'll see today.
15:18I wonder what we'll see today.
15:19Ho-ho!
15:28The magic carpet waffle is cooked and cooled.
15:31It looks good enough to fly on, Ben!
15:34Ho-ho!
15:34Oh, don't forget the tassels!
15:39Well remembered, little cook, we can use the slices of peach and strawberry to make the tassels.
15:44Mmm, magic!
15:54And to finish it off, sieve a little icing sugar over the magic carpet.
16:02Just like this.
16:03And then serve it straight away.
16:07So, one magic carpet waffle coming through!
16:16There, all done!
16:19So what do we do now?
16:20Can we play?
16:22Not yet.
16:22Time to clean and put away!
16:24Hooray!
16:25Wash, wipe, scrub and clean Make the kitchen sparkle and gleam
16:37My name's Ben and my name's Small We've got the cleanest kitchen of all
16:47Tidy all the bits and bobs The things that help us do our job
16:51Ingredients we'll put away Ready for use another day
16:55Pots and pans we'll start to smell If we don't wash them really well
16:59And now it's clear, let's all smile We'll be finished in a little while
17:02All around, up and down We've got the cleanest cafe in town
17:09A-ha! Here comes the plate!
17:20Ho-ho! Yes!
17:22And it looks like a lad had enjoyed his magic carpet waffle small
17:26Look, he's left a note
17:27Well, what does it say? What does it say?
17:30Let's see, shall we?
17:33It says, Dear Big Cook Ben and Little Cook Small
17:35My magic carpet waffle was delicious
17:38Ha-ha!
17:39Woo-hoo!
17:40To say thank you, I thought you might like to borrow my magic lamp
17:43So you can ask the genie for a wish
17:46From Aladdin
17:47Wow!
17:49Aladdin's lent us his magic lamp
17:51Ho-ho! Small!
17:53What should we wish for?
17:54Hmm
17:55Oh, I know, I know
17:57Why don't we wish that your magic carpet can fly?
18:00Yeah, brilliant idea, Small
18:01Come on, let's go
18:03Nothing's happening, Small
18:10Ben, remember the story
18:13You have to rub the magic lamp
18:15I am the genie of the lamp and I will grant you one wish
18:24We wish this magic carpet would fly
