00:00Big Cook, Little Cook
00:30It's freezing out there
00:36Quick, Ben, close the door or it'll be freezing in here too
00:41Okay, give me a chance, Small, there's a really strong wind out here
00:45I think that's got it
00:51Hello, everyone
00:54Hello
00:55Welcome to our cafe, the best cafe in the world
00:59We've just been playing out in the snow
01:01It was brilliant
01:03It's a shame we couldn't last out there any longer though, Ben
01:06Oh, yes
01:07We thought we had all the perfect clothes for this wintry weather
01:10We went out in our warmest coats
01:12To keep our bodies nice and warm
01:14We put on our scarves
01:16To keep our necks nice and warm
01:18We put on our gloves
01:20To keep our hands nice and warm
01:22And we put on our nice woolly hats
01:25I knitted mine
01:26It took me ages
01:28To keep our ears lovely and warm too
01:31And all the warmth couldn't escape from our heads
01:33The only parts of us that didn't stay warm
01:36Were our poor old tutsies
01:38Our feet and toes need warm boots to go out in the snow
01:43But we don't have any warm boots
01:44So our feet are
01:46Freezing
01:48And our socks are really soggy
01:51Oh, yuck
01:52So, no more playing out in the snow for us, I'm afraid
01:56Aha, a customer's ball
02:01You'd better go and see who it is
02:03I'm on my way
02:05Woo-hoo
02:06Who's in our cafe?
02:21Give us a clue, Small
02:22Brrrr
02:26Could you shut the door, please?
02:28Thank you
02:29It's a really big creature
02:33Oh, is it an elephant?
02:36Have another try
02:38It's white and furry
02:41Oh, I know, I know
02:44A polar bear
02:45No, you'll never guess
02:48It's a yeti
02:50It's a what-y
02:51A yeti
02:52Yan the Yeti
02:53I'm sure I've got a story about him somewhere
02:56I think it's time to look in my book
03:06We need a story to help us cook
03:11Let's take a look in Little Cook's book
03:14Little Cook's Adventures in the Big World
03:17Let me see
03:19Not too long ago, I went on a walking trip to the mountains
03:24It was very cold
03:26It was very cold
03:27Brrrr
03:28And thick snow lay everywhere
03:30Suddenly, I heard a voice
03:33It sounded rather unhappy
03:35Oh, dearie, dearie, dearie, me
03:38It moaned
03:40I looked all around
03:42But I couldn't see anyone
03:43Just bright white snow everywhere
03:46Who are you?
03:48I called
03:49My name is Yan the Yeti
03:52Came the reply
03:54Well, where are you?
03:56I shouted
03:57And suddenly, I bumped into the leg of a very big, very furry, very white creature
04:04Oh, there you are
04:06I smiled
04:07But Yan the Yeti didn't smile back
04:10In fact, he looked very sad
04:13No one can ever see me
04:16He sighed
04:17When my friends Brian Bear and Monty Moose come to play with me
04:22They can hardly ever find me
04:25Because my fur is the same colour as the snow
04:28So they just go home again
04:30And I get so lonely
04:33I tried to cheer Yan up
04:36I bet you're great at hide and seek
04:38I said
04:39What's the use of playing hide and seek
04:42If no one can find you?
04:45Replied Yan
04:46Then I had an idea
04:49I think I can help you
04:51I'll be back tomorrow
04:52See you later
04:53If you can find me again
04:57Said Yan sadly
04:59When I got back to where I was staying
05:01I got a big ball of bright red wool out of my rucksack
05:05And I spent the whole night knitting something special for Yan
05:09The next day, after a long, long search
05:13I bumped into Yan again
05:15From out of my rucksack
05:17I brought a very big, bright red bobble hat
05:21Woohoo!
05:22Put this on!
05:24I told him
05:25Yan did
05:26And it fitted perfectly
05:28And it fitted perfectly
05:28If you wear this hat
05:31When your friends are coming to play
05:32They'll have no trouble spotting you in the snow
05:35I told him
05:36Yan was so happy
05:38That he picked me up
05:40Very carefully
05:41And gave me a big, soft yeti hug
05:44Wahey!
05:46A very warm little cook to the rescue once again
05:49That was a great adventure
05:52Oh, brilliant story, Small
05:54It's great that you're such a good knitter
05:57These hats of yours are really useful
05:59The hat for Yan was a great idea
06:01Though I do say so myself
06:04But now we need another great idea
06:06What for this time?
06:08We need to think about what to cook for Yan the Yeti
06:11Ah, right
06:12What to cook for a Yeti
06:14Oh, I know
06:15How about spaghetti for a Yeti?
06:18Perhaps he'd like a drink
06:20Something wetty for a Yeti
06:22I know Big Cook's Big Cookery book
06:36Of course, the Big Cookery book
06:38There's recipes for everything in there
06:40And where do we look for things to cook?
06:43In the book
06:43In the book
06:44In Big Cook's book
06:46Look at this
06:48Yeti pear pudding
06:50Yeti pears in rice pudding snow
06:52Perfect!
06:54Just the thing
06:55Let's go, Ben
06:56OK, little cook
06:57You read out the ingredients
06:58And I'll see if we've got them
06:59OK, let's see
07:01We're going to need
07:02Full cream milk
07:03OK
07:04No problemo
07:05Milk in the fridge
07:07There we are
07:08Milk, got it

07:10In the fridge as well
07:11Butter
07:12Got that small
07:13Pears

07:28I love this
07:29Got it
07:29Raisins
07:30Here we go
07:32Raisins
07:33Got those too
07:34And pudding rice
07:36Pudding rice
07:37Rice
07:37Oh, here we go
07:38Right
07:39Excellent
07:40There we are
07:46Everything we need
07:47For the recipe
07:48Small?
07:50I've never made
07:51Rice pudding before
07:52Well, why don't I whizz off
07:54And find out how it's made
07:56And you get all the ingredients ready
07:58Good idea
07:59I'll see you later
08:00Bye
08:01Hey, why don't you come along too?
08:03Whish!
08:04Go small, go small, whizz away
08:11I wonder what he'll see today
08:13There's a train
08:21Choo-choo
08:23I'm in the right place here
08:32This lady is going to make some rice pudding
08:35First, she needs to fill up the pan with lots of milk
08:40Now she's adding the pudding rice
08:46Stir it all up
08:54That's butter
08:58And it will soon melt
09:00Because it's hot in that pan
09:01Look at all the bubbles
09:04Bubbly, bubbly, bubbly
09:05Hee, hee, hee
09:06And the last ingredient is cream
09:11Yummy, scrummy
09:21That's rice pudding
09:23Mmm, I love rice pudding
09:30And this little girl does too
09:32I'm really hungry now
09:36Hee, hee, hee
09:37Bye
09:37There, that's everything
09:49All ready for when Small gets back
09:51Wahey, I'm back
09:54Hiya Small, did you have a good trip?
09:56I certainly did
09:57It was really interesting, Ben
09:59I saw a lady making rice pudding
10:01With a very special pudding rice
10:04It was all lovely and creamy
10:06Yummy
10:07Oh, sounds amazing
10:09But we'd better get on
10:10You're right, Ben
10:11We've got a very big, very hungry customer
10:14So, let's get going
10:17We're all ready
10:19So take a look
10:20And we will show you how to cook
10:23Jelly boats and pirates go
10:29Princess pea pies
10:30Carrot cakes and fruit smiles
10:32And envelope surprise
10:34We love our cafe and we love to cook
10:38We have a fantastic recipe book
10:41He is big cook and he is small
10:47Friends in our cafe, we cook for them all
10:51When your tummy gets all rumbly
10:55You're ready for a treat
10:57You can make something delicious to eat
11:01Have you cleaned the surfaces?
11:09Yes
11:09Have you washed your hands?
11:11Yes
11:11All clean and ready to cook
11:15Do you remember the ingredients to Yeti Pear Pudding?
11:18You do
11:19There was full cream milk
11:21600 millilitres
11:23Butter or margarine
11:241 tablespoon
11:25Pears
11:262
11:27Cut in half
11:28Sugar
11:2825 grams
11:30Apricot jam
11:312 tablespoons
11:32Raisins
11:33About 24
11:34And pudding rice
11:3650 grams
11:37Whoopee, let's get started
11:40OK, I've turned the oven on already
11:43To 170 degrees Celsius
11:45Gas mark 3
11:46And that's a job for your grown-up helper to do
11:49Because remember
11:49The oven is hot, hot, hot
11:52What can I do, Ben?
11:54First job
11:55Could you get a piece of silver foil, please, small
11:57Big enough to cover this dish
11:59OK, I'll go and do that
12:02This little bit of butter is for greasing the dish
12:06Like this
12:08We grease the dish before the food goes in
12:11It stops it from sticking
12:13And just a little bit more on the sides
12:18There we go
12:22That's done
12:24So now
12:25We can pour in the pudding rice
12:28The sugar
12:32And the milk
12:36Let's get it all in
12:42There we go
12:46Oh, this is going to be tasty
12:48And then mix it all up
12:51Here's the foil, Ben
12:58Thanks, small
13:01There you go
13:02Now cover the top of the dish
13:05Tightly
13:06With the foil
13:07Like this
13:09That stops the rice pudding
13:12From getting burnt and brown on the top
13:14Because it wouldn't be rice pudding snow
13:16It would be rice pudding mud
13:18Yuck
13:19Next, we can put the dish into the oven
13:22And remember
13:23This is a job for your grown-up helper to do
13:25Because the oven is hot, hot, hot
13:27So, oven gloves on
13:29And over we go
13:31There we are
13:34Open up the oven
13:35And then we can put the rice pud
13:38Into the oven
13:40For about two hours
13:42For about two hours
13:43And you'll need to stir it a couple of times during the first hour
13:47When the rice pud has been in the oven for a couple of hours
13:56Turn off the heat
13:57And then
13:59Take out the dish
14:02And put it to one side
14:05Until later
14:07Now this is a job for your grown-up helper to do
14:10And
14:11So is this
14:12Put the apricot jam
14:16Into a saucepan
14:18There we go
14:21Just get the rest of it out
14:22There we are
14:25Turn on the heat
14:27And stir it round
14:30Until it goes all runny
14:32Can I help with the jam?
14:39Oh, yes, please, Small
14:41Right, you need to get the spoon
14:43And dot little blobs of jam all over the rice pudding
14:47These are going to be snowflakes
14:50But be very careful, Small
14:51The jam is hot, hot, hot
14:54You want snowflakes?
14:55You've got snowflakes
14:57Oh, it's still snowing outside
15:07I wish we had some proper boots
15:10I'd love to go out and play in the snow again
15:12Me too, Ben
15:13But I don't want to get soggy socks again
15:15Right
15:17Now for the yeti pears
15:19I'm going to cut zigzag shapes
15:22Out of the bottom of the pears
15:24Like this
15:26There we go
15:33And pop them on
15:35To the snowy rice pudding
15:38There's one
15:41And another
15:44There's another
15:53There's another
15:53You can use the big raisins for the hands and feet
15:58And the small ones for the eyes
16:00Yeah, and the yeti must be really hungry by now
16:04Oh, that's beginning to look like a yeti Ben
16:14Oh, that's beginning to look like a yeti Ben
16:15Finished!
16:22Oh, it looks great, Small
16:24One yeti pear pudding coming through
16:28There, all done
16:35So what do we do now?
16:37Can we play?
16:38Not yet
16:39Time to clean and put away
16:41Hooray!
16:42Wash, wipe, scrub and clean
16:51Make the kitchen sparkle and gleam
16:54My name's Ben
16:58And my name's Small
17:00We've got the cleanest kitchen of all
17:03Tidy all the bits and pop
17:06The things that help us do our job
17:08Ingredients we'll put away
17:10Ready for use another day
17:12Pots and pans we'll start to smell
17:14If we don't wash them really well
17:15And now it's clear
17:16Let's all smile
17:17We'll be finished in a little while
17:19All around
17:21Up and down
17:22We've got the cleanest cafe in town
17:26Aha! Here comes the plate!
17:37Oh, yes, Small
17:38It looks like Jan enjoyed his yeti pear pudding
17:41Look, he's left a note
17:43What does it say? What does it say?
17:45Hey, hey! Let's see, shall we?
17:49It says, Dear Big Cook Ben and Little Cook Small
17:52I loved my yeti pear pudding
17:55Thank you
17:56Oh, by the way
17:58I'm still using your bobble hat, Small
18:00And in return for sorting out my snowy problem
18:03Here's a present which might help you both with yours
18:06From Jan the Yeti
18:08Hey, hey! Look, Small
18:10It's Snow Boots
18:12There's a pear for you
18:14And a pear for me
