Cookery series with Big Cook Ben and foot-high Little Cook Small. Ben comes into the cafe in a disguise, but Small spots him straight away as his face looks the same. The three Billy Goats Gruff come into the cafe, and Ben and Small make them a baguette bridge. Then Small flies off to find some goat's cheese. To thank Big Cook and Little Cook for their meal, the goats leave Small some mossy shoes and a goatee beard for Ben's disguise.

00:09Big Cook, Little Cook
00:13Want you to come and play
00:16Meeting all the friends we cook for
00:21Sharing stories, trips and fun
00:25Big Cook, Little Cook
00:27We'll cook for everyone
00:31It's great to start the day with a tidy cafe
00:36No sign of Ben yet though
00:38Oh, hello, welcome to our cafe
00:41The best cafe in the world
00:45Ben's not here at the moment, but he won't be long
00:49Hello
00:51Hello, Ben could not make it today
00:54He is a bit busy, so he has asked me to take his place
00:58My name is Pierre François
01:00And nice to meet you
01:02Let's take a closer look at his face
01:06I'm sure I've seen him before
01:08Hey, why are you staring at my face? You make me all shy
01:12Yeah
01:13I'm sure I recognise him
01:15Hang on, that's not Pierre, that's Ben
01:19Hey Ben, we know it's you
01:21Oh, you saw through my clever disguise
01:25I thought I could fool you
01:27Well, your coat's different and so is your hair
01:29And your eyeglass makes you look really distinguished
01:35Oh, thank you
01:37In fact, your voice is very different
01:40The only thing is, your face looks exactly the same
01:44But I've been invited to a party where everybody has to dress in disguise
01:48A disguise is when you change the way you look
01:51So your friends don't know who you are
01:53Oh, what am I going to do? My disguise isn't very good
01:57Don't worry Ben, we'll find something
01:59We'll have to worry about my disguise later Small
02:03Sounds like we've got a customer
02:05I'm on my way, woohoo
02:08Wahey!
02:13Who's in our cafe today Small?
02:19Well, we've got three customers in our cafe today Ben
02:24Three? Wowee, ho ho
02:27What do they look like?
02:28Well, there's a little one A medium-sized one
02:31And a big one
02:32Oh, give us another clue
02:34They're very furry
02:36I'll guess in a minute
02:38And they have horns coming out of their heads
02:41Oh, I know who they are
02:43They're the Three Billy Goats Gruff
02:45You're right
02:47The Three Billy Goats Gruff
02:49Now, I wonder what Billy Goats would like to eat
02:51I think it's time to look in my book
02:53We need a story to help us cook
03:06Let's take a look in Little Cook's book
03:09Little Cook's Adventures in the Big World
03:12Let me see
03:14One day I was out for a walk in the countryside
03:18When I met three Billy Goats
03:20When I met three Billy Goats
03:21A big Billy Goat
03:24A medium-sized Billy Goat
03:26And a little Billy Goat
03:28Hellooo
03:29They bleated
03:31We're the three Billy Goats Gruff
03:35The Billy Goats were very hungry
03:38So I shared my packed lunch with them
03:40We don't have enough grass to eat in this field
03:45Said the little Billy Goat Gruff
03:47I looked at the field on the other side of the bridge
03:50And the grass was very green
03:53Well, why don't you cross over?
03:55I asked
03:56We can't
03:59Said the medium-sized Billy Goat
04:01There's a nasty troll living under the bridge
04:05He's going to gobble us up
04:08I'm sure he wouldn't do that
04:11I said
04:12Come on
04:14We started to trip, trip, trip, trap over the bridge
04:20But sure enough, the nasty troll appeared
04:24Who dares to trip, trip, trap across my bridge?
04:29He bellowed
04:30How am I supposed to get rid of my headache
04:33With all this trip, trap, trip, trapping?
04:37So that's why he's so angry
04:40I thought
04:41He's a troll with a sore head
04:43Then I had an idea
04:46I found some of the softest moss
04:49And I made
04:51Mossy slippers for the little Billy Goat
04:54Mossy slippers for the medium-sized Billy Goat
04:58And mossy slippers for the big Billy Goat
05:01Oh yes
05:02And I made a pair of mossy slippers for myself too
05:05He hee
05:06Wearing our mossy slippers
05:08We pad pad pad padded across the bridge
05:11And the troll didn't hear a thing
05:14The goats were so pleased to be in the lush green field
05:19That they made the troll a pair of goat's wool earmuffs
05:23So that he'd never ever be disturbed by trip, trip, trapping
05:28Little cook to the rescue once again
05:33That was a great adventure
05:35So the three Billy Goats Gruff
05:37Feasted on tasty green grass
05:39Thanks to your brilliant idea, little cook
05:41But what can we cook for three Billy Goats?
05:44That's a good question Ben
05:46I know, big cook's big cookery book
05:58Of course, the big cookery book
06:00There's recipes for everything in there
06:02And where do we look for things to cook?
06:05In the book, in the book, in big cook's book
06:09Oh, let's see
06:11Aha
06:12I found just the thing to remind the three Billy Goats Gruff
06:15Of their adventure
06:17A baguette bridge
06:19That's trip, trap, tremendous
06:21Here we get out the ingredients, little cook
06:23And I'll see if we've got them
06:25Okay, let's see
06:26We're going to need onions
06:28Onions, over we go
06:29Here we are
06:30One onions
06:31Two onions
06:32Yep
06:33A baguette
06:34And what's a baguette?
06:35A long bread roll
06:37Like this
06:38Ho ho ho
06:40Oil
06:41Here we go
06:42Got the oil small
06:43Sugar
06:44Got it
06:45Cider vinegar
06:46Oh yes
06:47Here we are
06:48That's in the cupboard as well
06:49Yep
06:50Cress
06:51Here we go
06:52Got the cress small
06:53And goat's cheese
06:55Goat's cheese
06:56Oh, right
06:57Okay
06:58There we are
07:00Everything we need for the recipe
07:02But, I'm afraid we don't have any goat cheese small
07:06Oh no
07:07But don't worry
07:08Why don't you whizz off and get some
07:10And I'll get everything ready
07:11That's a great idea Ben
07:13See you later
07:14Ho ho ho
07:15Hey, why don't you come along too
07:20Whoosh
07:21Ghost mole
07:22Ghost mole
07:23Ghost mole
07:24Ghost mole
07:25Ghost mole
07:26Ghost mole
07:27Whizz away
07:28I wonder what he'll see today
07:30What's that noise?
07:44Oh look
07:45They're goats
07:46And that goat is being milked
07:51This is the dairy where the goat's milk is made into cheese
08:00That's an ingredient that turns the milk into curds and whey
08:07Now the milk has been turned into curds and whey it has to be cut up into little pieces using a special cutter
08:17The whey is drained away
08:19The whey is drained away
08:20We don't need that anymore
08:21The curd is used to make the cheese
08:22It's collected into moulds and put under a press until it is set
08:24The cheese is taken out of its mould and put in a store room
08:25Yummy yummy!
08:26I'd better get back to the kitchen with some goat's cheese
08:33Bye!
08:34Hey, I found the perfect disguise
08:49Hey, I've found the perfect disguise.
08:54Blip, blip, blip, blip, I'm an alien, blip, blip, blip, blip, blip, I'm an alien, I'm
09:01back.
09:02Why are you hiding behind that colander, Ben?
09:07It's my clever disguise, I'm an alien.
09:11No time for that now, Ben, I've brought back the goat's cheese.
09:14Whoa, good work, Small.
09:20That was amazing, goat's cheese is made from goat's milk, you know.
09:24The goats were really pretty, and they had beards.
09:28Oh, I bet it's all lovely and creamy.
09:31Come on then, Small, let's get cooking.
09:33We're all ready, so take a look, and we will show you how to cook.
09:37The jelly boats and pirates go, Princess Pea Pies, carrot cakes and fruity smiles, and
09:47envelopes surprise.
09:49We love our cafe, and we love to cook, we have a fantastic recipe book.
09:59He is big cook, and he is small, friends in our cafe, we cook for them all.
10:06When your tummy gets all rumbly, you're ready for a treat, you can make something delicious
10:13to eat.
10:14Have you cleaned the surfaces?
10:19Yes.
10:20Have you washed your hands?
10:21Yes.
10:22All clean and ready to cook.
10:24Do you remember the ingredients to Baguette Bridge?
10:27You do.
10:28There were onions.
10:29Two, thinly sliced.
10:30A baguette.
10:31One, cut into three.
10:32Two short pieces, and one long piece.
10:34Oil.
10:35Two tablespoons.
10:36Sugar.
10:37One tablespoon.
10:38Cider vinegar.
10:39Three tablespoons.
10:40Cress.
10:41A little for decoration.
10:42And goat's cheese.
10:43Five slices.
10:44Whoopee!
10:45Let's get started!
10:47Now the first thing we need to do is turn on the oven to 200 degrees Celsius, gas mark
11:05six.
11:06And remember, the oven is hot, hot, hot.
11:09So that's a job for your grown-up helper to do.
11:12And so is this.
11:13I've heated the oil in a medium saucepan until it's nice and hot.
11:18Then, I'm going to pour in the onions and give them a good stir until the onions are coated
11:27in the oil.
11:28Mmm.
11:29I love the smell of yummy onions while they're cooking.
11:34I wonder if I can think up a clever disguise for Ben with this greaseproof paper.
11:42When the onions are golden, it's time to add the vinegar.
11:46There we go.
11:48Slip, slop.
11:50And then, we can add the sugar.
11:53Plip, plop.
11:55Give it a good old stir.
12:00Like this.
12:03And then, we can cook them for another ten minutes until they're really golden.
12:07The crinkly croplet has landed.
12:09Throw down your spoons.
12:11I come in peace.
12:13Is that you, Small?
12:16Yes, Ben.
12:17I'm trying to find you the perfect disguise.
12:19The only trouble is, I'm stuck.
12:22Can you try to unwind me?
12:24OK.
12:25Here goes.
12:26Thanks for thinking up the crinkly croplet disguise for me, Small.
12:39But it looks a bit uncomfortable.
12:41Anyway, let's see if these onions are ready.
12:45Don't worry, Ben.
12:46I'll find you a disguise.
12:47Mmm.
12:48These look just right now.
12:50So, I'm going to turn off the heat and then bring them across.
13:00There we go.
13:02Next, I'm going to take the two short pieces of baguette, which I've cut the ends off like
13:07this, and pop them onto a baking tray.
13:12We can eat the other bits later.
13:14And then, I'm going to take the long piece of baguette, which I've cut in half like this, and I'm going to place that on the baking tray as well.
13:27And on top of that, I'm going to put the onions.
13:40And some more there.
13:47And next is the fun part.
13:50On go the slices of goat's cheese.
13:55Some there.
13:56And there.
13:57And another one there.
14:02And then, another piece on there.
14:10Ho ho ho, this looks yummy, Small.
14:13Hee hee hee.
14:14Ha ha, I'm a knight in shining armour and I'm ready to joust.
14:18Ho ho ho.
14:19Ah!
14:20What are you up to now, Small?
14:22Hey!
14:23I'm trying out another disguise, Ben.
14:26I'm being a knight in shining armour.
14:29Now stand aside.
14:30My horse is ready to charge.
14:32Ho ho.
14:33Ho ho.
14:34Are you alright, Small?
14:39Yes.
14:40Ho ho ho.
14:42I don't think I want to be a knight in shining armour.
14:45It looks a bit dangerous.
14:47Right.
14:48Let's get on with our baguette bridge.
14:50Now, we can pop it in the oven.
14:53So, oven gloves on.
14:56And over we go.
14:59And remember, this is a job for your grown-up helper to do.
15:02Because the oven is hot, hot, hot.
15:05Open it up.
15:07And in it goes.
15:10For ten minutes.
15:11I'll set the timer.
15:12For ten minutes.
15:13The cheese is melted now.
15:14But it doesn't really look like a bridge, Ben.
15:16It soon will.
15:17It's cool enough to touch.
15:19So, I'm going to arrange the pieces of baguette on a plate like this in the shape of a bridge.
15:32There we go.
15:45And then, I'm going to sprinkle some cress around the plate as a grassy riverbank.
15:51Wowee!
15:52That looks brilliant.
15:53Quick, Ben.
15:54Let's give it to the three billy goats gruff while it's still nice and warm.
16:04OK, then.
16:05One baguette bridge coming through.
16:08There.
16:09All done.
16:10So, what do we do now?
16:11Can we play?
16:12Not yet.
16:13Time to clean and put away.
16:14Hooray!
16:15Wash, wipe, scrub and clean.
16:16Make the kitchen sparkle and gleam.
16:17My name's Ben.
16:18And my name's Small.
16:19We've got the cleanest kitchen of all.
16:20Tidy all the bits and foes.
16:21Tidy all the bits and foes.
16:22What do we do now?
16:23Can we play?
16:24Can we play?
16:25Not yet.
16:26Time to clean and put away.
16:27Hooray!
16:28Wash, wipe, scrub and clean.
16:29Make the kitchen sparkle and gleam.
16:30My name's Ben.
16:31And my name's Small.
16:32We've got the cleanest kitchen of all.
16:33Tidy all the bits and foes.
16:34The things and the things that help us do our jobs.
16:48Ingredients we'll put away.
16:49Ready for use another day.
16:52Pots and pans will start to smell.
16:54If we don't wash them really well.
16:55Now it's clear, let's all smile.
16:57We'll be finished in a little while.
16:59All around, up and down.
17:02Up and down, we've got the cleanest cafe in town.
17:15Aha, here comes the plate.
17:17Oh, yes, and it looks like the Billy Goats gruff enjoyed the baguette bridge.
17:23Look, Small, they've left a note.
17:25Well, what does it say? What does it say?
17:27Let's see, shall we?
17:28It says, dear Big Cook Ben and Little Cook Small, thank you for the yumptious baguette bridge.
17:35Woo-hoo!
17:36We are enjoying our new field very much.
17:39Here are Small's mossy shoes that we left by the bridge in case the troll isn't wearing his earmuffs when Small visits us again.
17:47Whoopee! My little mossy shoes! I knew I'd left them somewhere.
17:52Oh, hang on, Small, there's more.
17:55Here's something to help with Ben's disguise.
17:58Big bleats from the three Billy Goats gruff.
18:01Ho-ho!
18:03Look, Small!
18:04Hey, hey!
18:05It's a goatee beard!
18:09Let's put it on with the rest of the disguise!
18:11Ho-ho!
18:12I can't wait for the party now!
18:14Hee-hee!
18:15This is going to be great!
18:20Ho-ho-ho-ho!
18:22How do I look?
18:27Like a right silly Billy!
18:29Ho-ho-ho!
18:30But I wouldn't recognise you now, Ben!
18:33Now I've got the perfect disguise!
18:36Ho-ho!
18:36See you soon!
18:38Ho-ho-ho!
18:39Ho-ho-ho!
18:39Big cook, little cook
18:45Welcome to our cafe!
18:48Ho-ho-ho!
18:49Big cook, little cook
18:52We'll cook for everyone!
18:55We'll cook for everyone!
