00:00Big cook, little cook, welcome to our cafe.
00:11Big cook, little cook, want you to come and play.
00:18Meeting all the friends we cook for, sharing stories, trips and fun.
00:25Big cook, little cook, we'll cook for everyone.
00:30Hello, welcome to our cafe, the best cafe in the world.
00:41I'm Little Cook, but I don't know where Big Cook is.
00:46It's a bit of a mystery today.
00:48Have a look at this.
00:52And this.
00:55And there's something else.
00:57Look at this.
00:58Who made those bite marks?
01:01A mouse?
01:02Oh no, the bite marks are too big for a mouse.
01:05A crocodile!
01:07Oh no, a crocodile's mouth is big and wide.
01:12This is how wide I can open my mouth.
01:18How wide can you open your mouth?
01:20Wow, that is wide.
01:24So let's think, who made those bite marks?
01:28It wasn't a mouse, it wasn't a crocodile, it wasn't me and it wasn't you.
01:33So who was it?
01:39Where's that sound coming from?
01:41Ow, ooh, ow, ow.
01:44Ben, why are you making all that noise?
01:46Hello, Small.
01:48Hello, everyone.
01:49I've got toothache.
01:50Oh, I've tried taking a bite out of this sandwich, but the bits in the bread are too hard.
01:56Then I tried to take a bite out of this apple, but it was too crunchy.
02:00Then I took a bite out of this cake, which was delicious.
02:04But even chewing that made my tooth hurt.
02:06I'm still hungry, but I can't eat anything else because I've got toothache.
02:10Oh, well, at least we know where the bite marks came from.
02:15You can get toothache if you don't clean your teeth properly.
02:18Did you clean your teeth properly, Ben, today?
02:20Yes, and last night, and the night before that, and every night even before that.
02:25Oh, this is how I brush my teeth.
02:27Look, put the toothpaste onto the brush and brush my teeth.
02:32Up and down, up and down, up and down.
02:34Don't forget the teeth at the back.
02:37That's how I brush my teeth.
02:40This is the way we brush our teeth, brush our teeth, brush our teeth.
02:46This is the way we brush our teeth, early in the morning.
02:54Come on, Small. We've got a customer.
02:56Ooh, ow, ooh.
02:58I'm on my way.
03:00Woo-hoo!
03:06Who's come to see us today, Small?
03:10Oh, you'll never guess who it is, Ben.
03:15Who? Who?
03:16It's someone who looks after your teeth.
03:20Someone who looks after your teeth?
03:22And makes them better if there's a problem with them.
03:26Do you know who it is?
03:29Oh, is it a dentist?
03:31Yes, it's Denise the dentist.
03:35Oh, well, maybe she could make my poor tooth better.
03:38Ooh, ooh, ooh.
03:41She hasn't come here to look at your tooth, Ben.
03:43She's come here for our lovely food.
03:46Oh, yes.
03:47So what would a dentist like to eat?
03:49Something to remind her of her healthy teeth.
03:52I think it's time to look in my book.
04:03We need a story to help us cook.
04:06Let's take a look in Little Cook's book.
04:09Little Cook's Adventures in the Big World.
04:12Let me see.
04:13A little boy called Tom had a wobbly tooth.
04:19It was only a baby tooth, so it didn't matter that it was wobbly.
04:23Tom's mum said he'd picked a really good day to have a wobbly tooth.
04:27They were off to see Denise the dentist for a check-up.
04:30By the time Tom sat in the dentist's chair,
04:33he'd wiggled his tooth so much it had come out.
04:37Denise the dentist gave Tom some smiley stickers
04:40and told him to put his tooth under his pillow that night.
04:45Don't worry, said Denise.
04:47Another tooth will grow in its place in no time.
04:51That night, Tom put his tooth under his pillow.
04:55I was out flying on my spoo-mobile when I bumped into the tooth fairy.
04:59She was having a very busy night.
05:01How would she ever get round to collecting all the baby teeth before morning?
05:06So I offered to help.
05:08After all, tooth fairies are like me, small.
05:11The tooth fairy gave me a basket to put the teeth in
05:14and a bag full of shiny coins.
05:17I visited Tom's house first.
05:19I carefully lifted his pillow,
05:21put Tom's tooth in my basket
05:23and popped a shiny coin in its place.
05:26I worked very hard that night,
05:28helping the tooth fairy.
05:30By the morning, between us,
05:32we'd collected every single tooth.
05:34The tooth fairy thanked me for my help.
05:37When Tom woke up in the morning,
05:39he lifted his pillow
05:41and there was a shiny coin.
05:43He raced downstairs to show his mum.
05:47So the tooth fairy had visited in the night.
05:50Or maybe it was the tooth fairy's little helper.
05:54Little cook to the rescue once again.
05:59That was a great adventure.
06:01That was a lovely story, small.
06:04I wouldn't mind getting a nice shiny coin for my sawtooth.
06:10Wahey!
06:12But has it given us any ideas about what to cook for Denise the dentist?
06:15What to cook for a dentist?
06:17What to cook for a dentist?
06:26I know!
06:28Big Cook's Big Cookery book!
06:30Of course!
06:31The Big Cookery book!
06:33There's recipes for everything in there.
06:35And where do we look for things to cook?
06:37In the book!
06:38In the book!
06:39In Big Cook's book!
06:41Well, well, look at this!
06:45Oh, yes!
06:46Melon smile!
06:47The perfect thing!
06:49Come on, small.
06:50You read out the ingredients
06:51and I'll see if we've got them.
06:52OK, let's see.
06:53We're going to need fromage fray.
06:55OK.
06:56Over to the fridge.
06:57Here we go.
06:58Fromage fray.
07:00Yep.
07:00But you could also use yoghurt.
07:02Melon.
07:03OK.
07:04Over to the fruit bowl.
07:05Melon.
07:06Got the melon, small.
07:08Apple.
07:09Apple.
07:09Lovely apple.
07:10Oh, too crunchy for me, though.
07:13And grapes.
07:14Grapes.
07:15Grapes.
07:16Oh, right.
07:19There we go.
07:21Fromage fray.
07:22Hey!
07:23I bet that'd be soft enough for me to eat.
07:25Oh, Ben!
07:26That's for the recipe!
07:29And that's everything.
07:31Not everything, small.
07:32What's missing?
07:34The grapes.
07:35I thought we had some in the fruit bowl.
07:36I ate them last night.
07:39Before I got toothache.
07:41Well, don't worry, Ben.
07:43I'll whiz off and find some.
07:45Good idea, small.
07:47And I'll get everything ready.
07:48Hey!
07:49Why don't you come along, too?
07:51Wahey!
07:55Go, small.
07:56Go, small.
07:57Whiz away!
07:57Whiz away!
07:58I wonder what he'll see today.
08:00There's a train!
08:20Choo-choo!
08:23Oh, what a beautiful day!
08:46Today I've come to a vineyard, which is where grapes grow.
09:00Wow!
09:00A lovely bunch of juicy grapes.
09:04Oh, they've been picked.
09:05That's a full bucket.
09:24Look!
09:25All their buckets are full with bunches of grapes.
09:28Time to pick some more.
09:39Oh, but these grapes aren't green in colour.
09:41What colour are they?
09:47They're black grapes.
09:52Mmm, I love grapes.
09:54Grapes are a delicious, healthy fruit.
10:21Yum, yum!
10:24I can't wait to tell Ben about grapes.
10:30Bye!
10:39Oh, ho, ho, ho!
10:40Wow, my tooth!
10:43Wahey!
10:46I am back!
10:47That was brilliant!
10:49I saw where grapes grow.
10:50And I also saw how they're picked.
10:52And I even remembered to bring some back.
10:57Wow!
10:58Oh, ho, ho, ho!
10:59Oh, ho, ho!
10:59How's your tooth, Ben?
11:01Oh, oh, oh!
11:03Still a little better.
11:04Oh, hey!
11:05What did you say?
11:06Still a little better.
11:08Oh, dear.
11:09Poor Ben.
11:10Well, it's cooking time now, Ben.
11:12Maybe that might take your mind off it for a while.
11:14Oh, ho!
11:15We're all ready, so take a look and we will show you how to cook.
11:19Oh, ho, ho, ho, ho!
11:22Oh, ho, ho, ho!
11:23Oh, ho, ho, ho!
11:23Jelly boats and pirates go.
11:25Princess pea pies.
11:27Carrot cakes and fruity smiles.
11:29And envelopes surprise.
11:31We love our cafe and we love to cook.
11:34We have a fantastic recipe book.
11:38He is big cook and he is small
11:44Friends in our cafe, we cook for them all
11:48When your tummy gets all rumbly
11:51You're ready for a treat
11:53You can make something delicious to eat
12:03Have you cleaned the surfaces?
12:05Yes, have you washed your hands?
12:07Yes, all clean and ready to cook
12:11Do you remember the ingredients to Melon Smile?
12:15You do?
12:16There was fromage spray, two tablespoons
12:18Melon, one slice
12:21Apple, half chopped
12:23And grapes, a few
12:26Whoopee, let's get started
12:29I sliced the watermelon into a big smiley mouth shape
12:33Make sure you get your grown-up helper to do that bit for you
12:36Oh great, I can see myself perfectly
12:39What are you doing, small?
12:42The worktops are clean, my hands are clean
12:45I'm just checking if my teeth are clean
12:47He's meant to be helping me, not checking his teeth
12:51Oh teeth, my tooth still really hurts too
12:55Hey, maybe cooking will take my mind off it
12:59Let's see, shall we?
13:02Right, I'm going to scoop out the middle of this melon with a spoon
13:05There we are
13:08And I'm going to pop the middle bit into this bowl
13:12I'm going to use that later
13:13Shh!
13:18Hee hee!
13:19I've just had an idea
13:20Now we're going to use our slices of apple to make teeth in our melon mouth
13:25So, take a slice
13:27And push the pointy end into the melon
13:30There it goes
13:32And another one
13:35Into the melon
13:38Hee hee hee!
13:41Oh no!
13:42Ah!
13:44What's the matter, small?
13:46I've lost my tooth
13:47Oh dear!
13:49How did that happen?
13:50Did you bite into a crunchy piece of apple?
13:56Oh, did you chew on a sticky toffee?
13:58Hee hee hee!
13:59Oh, you'll have to go to the dentist
14:01Fooled you!
14:04I haven't really lost my tooth
14:06It's licorice
14:08I love licorice
14:09Oh, small
14:11Well, clean it off and come and help me cook
14:14Right
14:16Now it's time to make some more teeth for our melon mouth
14:18So
14:19I'm going to add the grapes here
14:21But first of all
14:22I'm going to make a small hole
14:24With the end of my spoon
14:25Okay
14:29Pop the grape in
14:30Just at the side of the apple
14:34And I'll do another one on this side
14:36Little hole first
14:38And in goes the grape
14:41And I'll do one more
14:44A little hole
14:50In it goes
14:51Looks just like a mouth now
14:54I'm back!
14:59Hey Ben
14:59Why don't you put this black grape into the watermelon smile?
15:02It will look like my missing tooth
15:04Let's see
15:07Oh, I don't think so, little cook
15:13I want a perfect smile for Denise the dentist
15:18There
15:18That's better
15:19Oh, just like mine
15:21Exactly small
15:23Now, where was I?
15:25Yes
15:25We're going to take the leftover melon
15:27Get rid of all the pips
15:29Just get rid of that last one there
15:30And then we mash it up
15:32With a fork
15:33Give it a good old mash
15:39So it's all soft and gooey
15:42Great
15:44Very juicy
15:45That's looking good
15:49And then I'm going to add to that
15:52The fromage fray
15:54In it goes
15:56And give it a good old stir
16:01Oh yes, look at that
16:05Round and round
16:06There
16:11That's the toothpaste dip
16:13So
16:14I'm just going to
16:16Pop this over here
16:18And
16:20Put a little bit of this
16:22On there
16:23And there we have
16:26One melon smile
16:28With a tasty toothpaste dip
16:29A dish fit for a dentist
16:32One melon smile
16:34Coming through
16:35For Denise our dentist
16:36There
16:43All done
16:44So what do we do now?
16:46Can we play?
16:48Not yet
16:48Time to clean and put away
16:50Hooray!
16:56Wash, wipe, scrub and clean
17:00Make the kitchen sparkle and gleam
17:02My name's Ben
17:07And my name's Paul
17:08We've got the cleanest kitchen of all
17:12Tidy all the bits and bobs
17:15The things that help us do our job
17:16Ingredients we'll put away
17:18Ready for use another day
17:20Pots and pans will start to smell
17:22If we don't wash them really well
17:24And now it's clear
17:25Let's all smile
17:26We'll be finished in a little while
17:28All around
17:29Up and down
17:31We've got the cleanest cafe in town
17:34Here comes the plate
17:41Oh yes
17:43It looks like Denise the dentist
17:45Enjoyed her melon smile
17:46With toothpaste dip
17:47And look small
17:49She's left a note
17:51What does it say?
17:53What does it say?
