Hathras Love Tragedy: Woman Dies After Marriage Refusal, Video Blames Boyfriend

A young woman in Hathras allegedly died after her boyfriend refused to marry her. Before taking the extreme step, the woman recorded a video blaming her boyfriend, Akash, and sent it to her aunt.

The incident occurred in Awas Vikas Colony under the Sadar Kotwali area. The deceased has been identified as Kamini Sharma, a resident of the colony. On Monday afternoon, Kamini consumed poison and was rushed to hospital by her family, where doctors declared her dead.

The video surfaced on Tuesday, after her funeral. In the video, Kamini is heard saying that she was being forced by Akash to take her life and that she had no desire to commit suicide. She apologised to her mother, calling her “the best mother in the world,” and accused Akash and his family of playing with her life.

Kamini’s mother, Rashmi Sharma, has lodged a complaint at the Sadar Kotwali police station. City Superintendent of Police Yogendra Krishna Narayan confirmed that the complaint has been received and the matter is under investigation.
