00:00Ahmad Faizal Azumu became the latest Perikatan Nasional leader to resign from his post today,

00:07stepping down as Perak PN chairman effective January 1, 2026.

00:12In a statement on Facebook, he said his decision was in view of Muhyiddin Yassin's resignation as coalition chairman, announced earlier today.

00:21He also recorded his utmost thanks and appreciation to all leaders and members of Perak PN's component parties

00:27for their cooperation, support and trust in him.

00:31Faizal's resignation comes hours after former Johor Menteri Besar Shahruddin Jamal resigned as the state's PN chief.

00:40Muhyiddin had announced that he would step down as PN chairman effective January 1 after leading the coalition for over five years.

00:49Immediately after Muhyiddin's resignation, Azmin Ali said he would bow out as PN secretary general

00:56and Selangor PN liaison committee chairman on January 1 as well.
